Yesterday when I picked up Goldenchild from preschool he was all excited about the upcoming School Thanksgiving FEAST.... they are going to eat food and dress up like the first Thanksgiving.

He can't wait for the feast so that he can be a Ninja.

It was cold here today, 62, brrr!! what happened to 80 just yesterday???

Just finished working for tonight, earliest in weeks, not that I done, but I am waiting till tomorrow to finish, I am sick and tired of work.
Gotta get some dinner and then I am going to run the DISHWASHER, first time in months! I gathered enough stuff to justify it (since DH fell down on the job lately and I had no time) when adding leftover food containers that were never eaten, new deviled egg dish that need washing for first use, and any dishes I might need to bring for Thanksgiving (or is it too early for that?) Anyway, I am going to the diswasher tonight!

Has my life really degenerated to such a degree that I get excited about this??????????

Refresh my memory, what was the exact tally of ninjas at the first Thanksgiving? I do not recall meeting any actors in ninja garb on any of my trips to Plimoth Plantation. I'll have to give them a call and have that rectified!


Speaking of school, Boris brought home a permission slip for the upcoming 4th grade field trip, which is taking place in early December. They are going to an IMAX theatre to see "A Christmas Carol" in 3D! Sah-weet! Far more interesting than Butterfly Palace, methinks!

They are going to have some scared 9 year olds on there hands. We saw this last week. Some of the scenes were too scary for Hannah. And to see it at the IMAX theatre....yikes.

It has been cold here too now. Frost in the morning. I think we are going to have a rough winter, now I think I have a head cold , I am really stuffy and Nicholas is coughing. We never get sick and this year we are starting early.

I can't believe that Plimoth isn't historically accurate. The teacher said the Pilgrims and the Ninjas had a feast together. Apparently they have been practicing good manners for the feast. Ninjas always say "no thank you" if they don't care to try the food.

NAB, the lovely warm weather we enjoyed here earlier in the week has now departed. Today was, as Natasha says, chill-ola. I think you're right about the coming winter. Between the weather and the germapalooza, I think we're all in for a loooooong one.

Mainly because he feels the celebration could use some folks who are packing heat.....Ninjas don't carry and his dad told him that the Indians just had bows and arrows at the time.

I don't have gestational diabetes but I do have what my dr calls "glucose intolerance"... so now I am in a very low carb, high protein world. It TOTALLY STINKs. For me. I know I am healthy and this isn't permanent and it is really no big deal but I am kind of in mourning for normal foods like toast and gingerbread and wheat thins.
