morning moovers.

It is dark and dreary here but hubby has the window open to let some of the fresh air in.......we try to get rid of the dead stale air in the house.....yes even if it is below freezing......makes the house smell so good .....love fresh air...

I have a germ still.....sneezed all day yesterday and my head was clogged....but feel better this morning.......hubby made coffee and tasted good!
Tonight we are going out with "the family" ...20 or so of us.....20 are confirmed and you never know who will show up......at least we are not hosting after that for dessert.......didnt feel like doing a thing.

Can you believe ..its almost April 1st.....what a fast moving winter....well it was for me ..

I got results back from my mamo.......I passed that test and my other end of the body test..;)....but not one blood test....geesh.....oh wait......I passed my liver function test.......I took a handful of pills this morning.
I looked at it and thought ....omg I must be a junkie...I put them all in my mouth and drank with one gulp of water......six pills...most of them BIG....

Hope you are all well and taking care of yourselves and people around you....prayers going to those who need them....

CARP - spring break starts and the whole week looks miserable! IT MAY SNOW tomorrow!! :faint:

This time last year I signed up with dil to do the Shamrock Shuffle - watching the newsclips today - how they plan on dealing with the snow... :faint: so glad I"m not running in the snow!!

sorry I missed a chat - I have to share the computer!

Hope all is well -
:wizard:

Fun chat last night. Tim came home and we have much to do. Football sign up, visit with FIL, looking for some floor vases and cool other stuff to go in them to add to the new wall. Pics down below! The moldings are on yet, but Cheryl has been asking for some pics....... Plus tonight, my original group of friends from right after I graduated from High School are all getting together for dinner. I can't wait to reconnect with these girls.

As promised moo:

The before: I really hated the field stone and I painted it just to try a different look, but I still hated not being able to do anything to this wall. Funny that the old tv is in this pic.

Mony - that's gorgeous!

pumba - at least you passed one test. I need to go for a physical in the next week or so. hopefully I'll pass my blood tests.

Good morning!

Pumbs, YAY for passing your tests

Mony, that looks fabulous

Sandy, what is a Shamrock shuffle?

Cel, great that you didn't get hurt much by the cuts. I fully expect them to say no raises this year. I haven't heard anything, but that is what they did last time, so I expect it again. I can live with that, at least we still have jobs.

I have to do the taxes today, UGH! NOT looking forward to that at ALL. Which is funny, because I really loved my tax classes in college. Then early dinner at Red Lobster for DH's birthday. I don't think we have been out to dinner alone since before we had kids. At least we have something to talk about today, with all the changes. :sad2: But FIL may come along yet, he called earlier today to wish DH happy birthday, but DH is napping. FIL asked if we had anything planned, so I said just dinner. He said "OH? where?" so I told him, and left it at that. We'll see.

Have a great day everyone!

Mony! Your fireplace and the new TV look fantastic!!! So much sleeker and "today". Just like on one of those home update shows.

Here's the lovely spring bouquet that Mony sent me yesterday. What a nice surprise!!! Thanks, again, Mony! I have it sitting on my (recently cleared off, yay me!) dining room table with the cards I have received. I'll take another photo after the irises have opened up further.

Cel - I'm happy to hear that you weren't affected too much by your company's pay adjustments. I expect that we'll be getting some more furlough days before long.

Pumba - I'm feeling the same way about my meds. Hope to get off of some of them soon. Especially because I can't just toss them all back at once anymore :scared:

Sandy - Sorry you missed chat last night - it was fun visiting. We'll have to do another one soon when more people are around.

Lynette - So how'd the birthday party go??!

I hope Peej checks in again so we know what day to watch for her on Ellen :dance3:

My ddad and duncle are stranded in Tucumcari, N. M. They are on their way home since going to Idaho. The interstate has 4 ft of snow. They got a motel room and are across the street from a Denny's. My dad who is 86 is a hyperperson. I bet he has walked a hole in the carpet. At least they are warm and fed.

Moo glad you are feeling better.:):)

D second daughter is back in hospital but she is at Vanderbilt and I think they can help her a lot.

Ya hoo for all the people who are keeping thier jobs.:banana:

I'm such a procrastinator! I still haven't started my huge paper that's due tuesday night. argh!
I was going to do it today, but haven't.
I have to get ready to go set up the reception soon.
I found kashi waffles - with whipped cream! yum!
it's pretty low in carbs, but one waffle and two fried eggs with cheese made me sick.
ick
so now I'm cuddling with Riley.
still not doing my paper!
and you all would die if you saw how dirty my house is.
argh!
:sad2:

moo - that's a beautiful bouquet! mony did good!

celmama - 4 ft of snow! geez!

OK, I give up on taxes, going to use a free program this year. Multiply this by that, enter result as a decimal. 2,112 as a decimal? OK, I try 21% it gives me $743000. or some rediculous thing. divide result by 3, so other stuff. ACK! I'll have you know I passed my CPA exam the first time (that's a big deal) but this is ridiculous? Who comes up with this stuff?? I gave DH a ROM of $1,000 we have to pay. I really hurts to lose a deduction. (aka DD) We make nowhere near 700,000, LOL, Disney is NOT known for great pay.
Time for a shower and then off to dinner.

Thanks, CelMama - I'm still amazed at how well I am doing! Hope your dad and uncle aren't stranded for too long. Sending prayers for your daughter and hope the doctors are able to help her :grouphug:

Cel - Feel better soon and get crackalackin' on that paper! :goodvibes

My BFF, who I was planning to go to a movie with this afternoon, called to say that she developed and bad headache after her stretching class and won't be able to go. Wahhh! I think I will go ahead and do something on my own just to get out of the house.

Marita - Have a yummy dinner!!! Happy Birthday to your hubby :cake: party:

To nice today to stay in the basement....I am started to sound like Marita. That basement is never going to get done.:lmao:

I did get the fridge in the garage cleaned out while the kids played outside. We had a whole case of Coke explode in there because it was too cold over the winter. :sad2:

Marita-- Happy Birthday to your DH! :cake: Have the lobster!!! Yummy.

Moo-- Hubby wants to go out and see the Monsters movie for the kids tonight , not sure I want to go. We are going out for dinner though since hubby didn't take me out for my birthday.

Mony-- Nice fireplace. Is it wood burning? Love the new toy too. I think Hubby wants to do that look in the basement ( in what year I don't know )

Celery-- my house looks like a tornado went though so don't feel bad.

Cel's mom-- prayers for you other dd. Hope she gets the care she needs.

Lynette -- have you sat down and relaxed yet? Hope the birthday party went well.

Pumba--how is the toe? Aren't you going to Disney soon?

SO i took a shower. I usually just let my hair dry. But today I went to blow dry it. Of course, DD took the blow dryer when she moved out

I have been trying to find a number for RL to check what time dinner starts. NO luck at all! They have a general number, but they are closed over the weekend.

So I guess we will head there shortly, my hair sould be pretty dry by then (although not styled) Heck, it rarely is!

I think I might go for the filet and lobster.
Thanks for the happy birthday to DH wishes!!!!!!!!!

Later....

We went to Pier 1, but they didn't have 2 of anything that I liked, so we walked next door to Michael's.

We found the vases and picked out some decorative stuff to put inside the vases.

For amateurs, I think we did goog.

I have to catch up the laundry now.:laundy:

Looks lovely, Mony! Good job.

Just got back from dinner, I thinks its time for a nap....zzzzzzzzzzz

I am driving myself crazy. It doesn't take much!

I cant decide if I should have some asparagus with melted butter and a cheesy biscuit from RL, or a hot fudge sundae.

I have been debating this for an hour! Silently, or course.

Hello Moovers! Too bad I missed chat last night....it's been a while. I was so exhausted yesterday after the hoopla that I went to bed at 10:30 - UNHEARD OF!

Natasha's Rainforest shindig was a smashing success! We had a big ol' circular booth near the animatronic gorillas. :rotfl: The girls giggled and chattered nonstop, and Natasha had b-day volcanoes (the dessert) instead of cake, which she doesn't really like. Once the party was over and the girls had been picked up, DH took Boris to Gamestop while I took Natasha and her BFF to Build a Bear for a "shopping spree". Then we came back to our house for a bit. By the time all was said and done, it was nearly 10 o'clock. Hence my early bedtime.

big L - I mailed it on the 21st. I thought it'd be there by now. I only put two stamps on it, but I think that's enough.
if it's not, it's in a pop century envelope and maybe if it gets returned someone will add extra postage.
maybe.

Cel, the pins arrived in yesterday's mail! The kids think you are pretty darn cool for thinking of them, as do I. And Boris thinks the pin will be an awesome addition to his Rockwell "interview", especially because the teacher told the class that extra attention paid to details and props would gain extra credit on the overall project grade.

I guess the letter took a while to get to us because it was damaged in transit.....stuck in a machine somewhere along the line, I think. The envelope you used was torn pretty much in half, but the postal service put it into a bigger envelope and processed it anyway. The autographs were missing, but the pins made it! Thank you SO much!

Glad you made out okay with your job. And I hope that by now you're feeling well enough to git crack-a-lackin on your paper for school.

Mony, I LOVE what you did with your fireplace! It looks great! Oh, and good job with Moo's flowers! :goodvibes

MamaCel, prayers for your non-Cel daughter. Hope this hospital can give her the help she needs. Also, hope your dad and uncle make it back home safely and soon.

Moo, back to telecommuting already?! What fortitude!

Marita, sounds like you had fun on your work outing. If you're still debating about your snack, I say go for the sundae.

NAB, the bill at Rainforest wasn't really that bad! In fact, if I tally up the bill there plus the money I spent on the 2 girls at Build a Bear, I still saved about $250 over what I would have paid for a party for family at the house. And it saved me a HUGE amount of work, so I'm happy!

Marita - I'd go for the sundae too!

Lynette - Sounds like Natasha's party was a big success! That's my kind of party - no housecleaning, cooking, post-party clean-up, etc.!!! What did the girls make at Build-a-Bear?

Telecommuting wasn't so much fortitude as necessity - I need to conserve some leave time for follow-up appointments because I've used a lot of sick leave for previous appointments. Plus, my hubby is in the process of getting approved for the same surgery, probably in the next few weeks, and I'll have to be able to be at the hospital for that, so I'm trying really hard to avoid getting into a time off with no pay situation. I'm very happy that I'm mending quickly! Hope I can make it through a full day of work on Monday :scared: If not, my boss will probably let me spread out my telecommuting time over the first week back.

Moo, yay for DH getting the surgery too. That should really help you to stay with the program.

Lynette, sounds like a lovely birthday party! Hurray for the pin getting there.

As for snack food, I just had 1/2 can of asparagus with a cheese biscuit reheated in microwave on sensor reheat (NOTE: not a goog idea). But that was like 30 minutes ago, so now I am going for a small hot fudge sundae.

Have a great sunday!

PS: the Jonas Brothers just come on on SNL, I dont see the appeal. Might have to do with me not being a teeny bopper, LOL.

PSS: Homemade hot fudge sundae with lots of whipped cream is goog!
