Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

I think I am about as much Irish as I am American Indian. However I am pro March holidays and dragging out my birthday a few more days. . :thumbsup2

BDG et al. See the et al. is LATIN for "and others".... kind of an ancient "and anyone else I may have left out or too numerous to mention". One of my current students is a former mortgage underwriter who has been out of work a year. She was regaling me with stories of bizarro mortgages that crossed her desk. Oddly enough she had come to a different conclusion than I as to who was responsible. I agree with your last post about Cheney. I am interested in how the AIG mess unfolds. AIG says they were "contractually obligated" to provide those bonuses. IF that is true (which I doubt) they ought to sue their lawyers. Usually bonuses are tied to performance AND profits. Anyway- like you- I am done with this topic for today.

Moooving on: We are invited to a family friendly St. Paddy's Day party at one of the DH's coworkers (whom I have never met) friend's house. :confused3 WHAT should I wear?

Happy St Patrick's Day!!

Have a great time at gmas!

This gives a whole new meaning to the term "harumph." :scared:

It does? B/C I think Lynette always meant it the way you now thinks she means it and I oft wondered why everybody found it so funny.:confused3 (lylasg!)

Ladies and Gentlemen, start your suitcases.

BDG

Oh goody! Where are you taking us? I call shotgun. I have to hurry, if I want to beat twink to that heated seat.

Is anyone else sick of the bail out idea yet?

BDG

yes.

Shut up already Mr. Vice President.

BDG

prezackly.

WHAT should I wear?

Not this:

I just got a call from my boss asking me to come in and play at my overworked and underpaid job. Or is that underworked and overpaid?;)

At any rate (exchange, growth, or interest) I am off to birth babies.

Have a wonderful, magical, sparkling, glittering day!

BabyN - I can't think of a better job to have to go to. Birthing babies? :cloud9:

Happy St Patrick's Day!

dh is going to take the computer away soon....

he made Irish Soda bread! :goodvibes

We're having corned beef and "cabbage" for dinner - Sandy style :rotfl2: (ie corned beef sandwiches, with cole slaw (homemade) on the side!)

:thumbsup2 Love the dress Celery!

MP & PJ- I *did* call custodial. He was kind of grumpy but did a great job steam cleaning the carpets. ;)

BBN- I bet a lot of nurses were out "sick" today. You will probably have to work tomorrow too.

I would also bet that business will be booming tomorrow at the ol' parking garage. ;)

I gave my students an extra two days to recover from spring break before their next test. I am such an

Celery you look so pretty. Glad Micheal is going to Fla. at the same time you are. He will watch out for you. Took my 93 mil to airport today she is going to Vero Beach for a month. She should be on land but she is proably going to wait and call me at night. Our family is so blessed with Granny and my ddad because he drove all the way to Idaho with his brother in law . My dad is 86.
Everyone hellooooooooo.

I'm Irish. Could you tell?

A couple of my kids decided to draw green marks on their hands today. Actually, they weren't so much green marks as marker all over the front AND back of their hands. You cannot leave these thugs unattended for 5 seconds, lemmetellya. Then once I publicly humiliated them about it in front of the whole class they wanted to know could they wash it off. I made them keep it on until lunch at which point I had to digress and allow the washing of hands. They kept trying to hide their hands all morning.

I had to lead a professional development session for the entire school this afternoon. It was thrilling. I talked about differentiated instruction, since everyone was wondering. I am not a fan of talking in front of large groups of people, and this was the whole school, but it went very well. This was yet another part of my internship I can check off the list. Leadership project...check! Passport...check! (has anyone ever seen that episode of Friends?)

I wonder why Twinkie never just called custodial. Sounds so much easier. ;)
I highly recommend it!

Here's me and michael! and the dress.

Great dress, Cel, especially considering the occasion at hand! Those look like 2 people ready to go to WDW! :cool1:

MP & PJ- I *did* call custodial. He was kind of grumpy but did a great job steam cleaning the carpets.
Excellent plan! Glad I was able to provide you with such a useful tip. ;)

I love you guys, but especially I love B!
We know.

Hope you enjoyed your Irish dinner, Sandy.

Hope you enjoyed your Irish babynursin for long hours with crummy pay, I mean great pay, bbn.

Hope you enjoy your Irish trip, Nab.

And I'm sure everyone enjoys Irish Obama.

Hope everyone had a Happy St. Patrick's Day! I celebrated early with my girlfriends on Sunday :drinking1 :shamrock:

Busy day at work today. I worked until almost 10:00 tonight to finish up a project.

Poof!

Thanks to everyone who has sent me messages of support

Will be praying for you Moo! Hope it all goes well.

We are here in Hotlanta! At least it was hot today, not so much yesterday. :) I have a story to tell about our adventures today, but I'm just too tired to type it. Let's just say that DD and I had a "run in" with a kiosk lady today, and DD ended up like this.... :sad2:

We DID have a lovely lunch at the American Girl Bistro today, and met up with DS Kindergarten teacher for dinner. The fun MUCH outweighed the Drama. :thumbsup2 Spending the AM with my mom at her bible study followed by a church provided lunch. :thumbsup2 Then, not sure what the rest of the day holds.

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

Here's me and michael! and the dress.

Y'all look so cute! Love the dress.

BabyN - I can't think of a better job to have to go to. Birthing babies? :cloud9:

I've always said if I have to work at least I'm doing something I love. I feel very blessed.

1. BBN- I bet a lot of nurses were out "sick" today. You will probably have to work tomorrow too.

2. I would also bet that business will be booming tomorrow at the ol' parking garage. ;)

3. I gave my students an extra two days to recover from spring break before their next test. I am such an

1. But I dont have to work today. Do you want me to work today? Are you saying you have more fun when I'm not around. Sheesh twink, you could have sent a pm instead.

2. Why do you think everybody's business is booming? Do you have a secret vendetta to wish hard work on all of us while you are eating bon bon's and watching Oprah?

3. Yes, you are very "angelic";)

Hope you enjoyed your Irish babynursin for long hours with crummy pay, I mean great pay, bbn.

Not to complain, but it was very, very long hours yesterday. I didn't get home until way past everybody's bedtime and my feet are still killing me. I literally did not sit down for six hours straight. Like not even for a second. The babies just keep coming. and coming. and coming.

Maybe there are lots of Irish people in the LooUhVull area and the babies subconsciously wanted to be born yesterday. :confused3

Thanks to everyone who has sent me messages of support

Oh wow. I can't believe it's almost here. I'll be sending lots of prayers your way.

We are here in Hotlanta! At least it was hot today, not so much yesterday. :)

Please don't quote: :
Here I am quoting. Heh. Anyway- of course you are in our thoughts and prayers. I hope everything goes great!

We DID have a lovely lunch at the American Girl Bistro today,
Glad you are having fun Allie. My DDs are not into the American Girl stuff which is excellent for my wallet but I did pop into the American Girl store in Bloomington, MN while we were there to drool. I would love to take them!

1. Coulda woulda shoulda. Don't you remember we had a posting frenzy scheduled for today at noon? I just figured you would end up not being able to frenze due to work.

2. I am trying to fix the economy? and I am out of bon-bons... and you KNOW that the DH blames Oprah for the downfall of American society. ;)

3.

4. My first BFF, Erin was born on Saint Patrick's Day. She is actually Irish (like her mom is not an American citizen Irish not her great great gma is Irish) And was induced so maybe there is something to that theory.
