Panera was good, I ate an ENTIRE bowl of soup AND all the bread. Never did that before.

Nab, sorry about the kids, they must be chomping at the bits to be out this week of all weeks. Hope they get better in time for the weekend festivities.

I GOT MY SURGERY CLEARANCE TODAY!!!!!!!!!

2 1/2 more weeks before they suck my lens out of my eye
Dr. also ordered monthly B12 shots and high dosage of Vitamin D3, plus 4 other tests I need to see other doctors for. He asked me today about flu shots, I told him I never get sick, I am healthy as a horse, if he didn't tell me differently, LOL.

Nabbie - So sorry both kids are sick now I know how hard it is for kids to miss the fun school activities. Hope you stay well. There's been a lot of flu going around in my neck of the woods.

I have still been doing weight training twice a week. They started me on some new exercises last night and they really kicked my butt. I couldn't finish all my sets, I just ran out of steam. But they usually go better the second time, so I'm not too worried. I haven't been doing as much cardio as I'm supposed to, so maybe that's why I had more trouble during my workouts.

Cel - I've been trying to drink protein shakes occasionally lately, so I feel for ya. Too bad Panera's French onion soup broth is so salty. I haven't tried those pink ribbon bagels (and probably won't), but I had an everything bagel from Panera during vacation. It was excellent!

I hope so. I am supposed to take D3 Vitamins, which I guess is different from regular I checked at the Disney clinic today where we are supposedly get great prices on meds, but they only had regular. Put in my prescrition for BP pills today, so when I pick that up tomorrow, I will order my eye drops and eyelid scurbs for the surgery. Hope they have that. The Dr hit me up for $249 today for previous visits for dedectibles, I guess. I will have no trouble reaching my deductible this year, LOL. Actually, I don't even know how much that is. Guessing $500, but I really don't know.

Moo, I'm sue you will do fine with your training, but I can sympathize with the getting there part, ugghh!

DS finally got a new phone, but now he has an out of state number since he had to swith phone providers. He has a plan so he doesnt have to pay extra, but we don't. I'll have to consult with DH about that. He also got free warm clothing from the A/F, a bomber jacket, a parker with fur inside and insulated boots. House progress is moving along fine as well, so all is going good on his front.

Marita-- So happy you got clearance on you eye surgery! That is a lot of stuff you have to take. Like Moo said the vitamin B12 will give you lots of energy. Thanks for posting the picture, tiny or not.

Hannah is finally on the mend but Nicholas still has a fever and cough. Hope she doesn't rebound because he is still sick. She will be going back to school tomorrow I think, him not so sure and he isn't going to like that because no school means no dance tomorrow night. He says he is fine but he stayed in bed all morning and still has a fever. He still eating, drinking and says he is fine.

I am scared to see how much work they have missed while away. I know each has missed a test. I heard the school has to report to the Ministry of Health on how many kids are out with the flu ,so every morning she asked me how high the fever is when I call in.

I got a package of cake decorator tips tonight that I forgot I ordered. I remember thinking about it for deviled eggs, but forgot I actually ordered them. THat was a long time ago.

Anyway, so I made deviled eggs with 4 eggs tonight to try out the decorator tips. DISASTER!! The egg mix got stuck in the tip (and I used the big ones) and squeezed out the top that I twisted shut It was not lumpy, either.

Anybody got any hints? Cel? Lexi? anyone??????? I'd hate to waste the tips and use a plastic bag again.

OH, and on Sunday I bought a $6 plastic container for deviled eggs, since the carrier thing I ordered weeks ago for $30 still had not arrived, and no word. So tonight I got an email that they shipped it

Kaleb is almost fully recovered! He even played outside most of the day yesterday. No labored breathing and no complains of back or stomach pain. Thanks everyone for all your thoughts and prayers. We've never had a sick child before. In all of the children in my family(my sisters kids included) no one has ever been so sick before. Only one other hospital stay and that was my older sisters little boy. When he was a baby and toddler he had to have sugery to reconstruct his skull a couple times. Sick little ones are very scary!

So the plan is on to go to WDW this weekend. Kaleb isn't awake yet, but as long as he hasn't relapsed from playing yesterday we're going. I know he will be excited to stay at Frammie's(my mom) finally.

We're taking Ellie and Isaac. I just couldn't stand to be away from Isaac again after last weekend. Plus he is free and at a fun age to experience new things. The only other time he's been to Disney was when he was 5 months.

I am SO unorganized though. I have had so many other things on my mind these days. I haven't even thought about packing. Chad is going to try and get off at 12, so I better get busy. Yesterday I made Ellie 2 new dresses one with matching shorts and one with below the knee bloomers. The bloomers aren't quite done yet, so I have to finish that this morning, PLUS make a pair of red/white polkadot shorts to match the "dress" I made her with minnie on it. It's supposed to be a dress, but since she is such long it's more of a shirt. lol.

Marita.....I have to tell you that I was the biggest woos around......I told the eye surgeon that too......I asked to get a little conked out if he could.....and he said that if I was comfortable then he would be confortable....easy for both of us.....it was a instant out and back in fast...no after effects either.....it didnt hurt doing it and it didnt hurt after and it didnt hurt now......I did feel like I had grit in my eye.....wear your eye thingie when they tell you to....and that was at night while I was sleeping so I wouldnt unknowingly rub my eyes......
I am so excited that you got this okey and you will be able to see and that is the main thing......I still have to wear my glasses for closeup but far away is great..but I am old and having worn glasses for fifty years I guess its okey..
I wish I lived closer to you ......I would come with you while you were at the doctors office and lead you out into the world......

Well one went to school , one stayed home.

Now the one that stayed home wants to go to the teen dance tonight because he feels better. So he says. His fever was lower to day but still had one.

I am also a mean mom because I bring home his homework to catch up on that he missed the last three days.

We are staying in and watching Halloween movies, and carve three pumpkins.

Had to cancel my Christmas pictures for tomorrow too.....rescheduled for next week. Hopefully I will be good then. I feel a cold coming on. Coughing, runny nose and achy but no fever so far. I will probably have a red nose from blowing my nose....our colours are burgandy , I will fit right in.

Nab, too bad about Nicholas missing the dance, I know how much he loves those, LOL. I really don't remember Chris going to any at that age. I think he may have had one where I bought him a silk shirt and tie. I really need to dig out out pictures and put them in albums....

I'm getting a bit frustrated at work, every time I think I can finally get something done that is pressing, something else pops up! I'm trying to get Disneyland up and running on a new forecast process that is totally, radically new for them. Finally got the system set up today to tie things out, and ended up spending 5 hours on other stuff and a meeting, GRRRRR. And I can't do this stuff from home, because they don't have enough demand for the system to justify maintaining it for remote work

I have no candy for tomorrow yet, DH usually gets it, but he has been busy at work since his 2 week vacation. Hopefully it will all be on sale tomorrow at least. Plus I have no fresh chicago rolls at home, but I cant go now because it's dark, so I will eat my deviled eggs for now until I think of something else to eat...

Red is going to be a stealth ninja and Gigantor is going as an army guy. I have a feeling that creepy Burger King mask will be showing up somewhere today. Those stinkin' kids love to weird me out with that thing. I'm ready for them this year though. I think.

Happy Trick or Treating, BBN!

I am not looking forward to jumping up every few minutes to open the door tonight DH loves to look at the kiddos, so since he doesnt have to go to bed early tonight, I am planning on delegating most of that to him for a change. Teehee! But the light goes off at 8pm sharp!

Already put in 2 hours of work today, it never ends. I have a gazillion things to do and new things keep popping up. I hate that!!

Oh well! At about 1 i'm heading out to ran some errands, and then see how I feel.

Hope MP is enjoying Disney today, it's a lovely sunny day (but way too hot for October)
