BBN, Queen of Emulators, those dancing nutcracker freakazoids with Santa are frigging hilarious!

ha ha ha and ho ho ho!

Marita, I think that's an excellent title for you. ;)

Now git crack-a-lackin on the de-cluttering! :rotfl:

Lynette. How much snow did y'all get again? Not that "it" matters. heh

You'd embrace HIM?
TinyTim.jpg
and worse, he's inside ya.

alrighty ya bunch of smartypants. no i dont embrace THAT tiny tim. nor do i went him anywhere my insides. or outsides for that matter.

1. How come I don't get to be the freakin queen of anything? Can I at least be the princess of something?

2. That begged the question of where we should say. I called the cast line thinking they were going to laugh in my face when I asked for a room for Sunday and Monday night and my new bff, Pepe says "I have a room at Animal Kingdom Lodge those 2 nights with your 60% holiday discount and the dining plan for $20/night." I say OKAY, LET'S DO IT!! :thumbsup2 Then Pepe got me an ADR at Boma tomorrow night and Le Cellier Candlelight Processional package Monday night. Pepe is truly my bff.

3. So, 2 more nights in Disney, what's to complain about? Life is grand, the birds are singing, the sky is blue.

4. I will now be driving to Cincinnati since that is where we're flying out of. Paco Bell Oliver Boomerang (see, L) the Cat is staying with my 2nd bff, Eren, so I need to drop him there. Then, I need to take the family pup to my aunt's house. I know when we're at Boardwalk Villas we get free internet, so I'll check in with y'all there! Aw heck, I might even check in tonight from mom and dad's house.

1. Funny you should say that. During a brief chat with E earlier today, it was decided that you should be the Queen of the Educators, if you so choose. That way, your title rhymes with everyone else's. You're welcome.

2. Of course you know that you'll be staying at Boris and Natasha's favorite hotel on earth. Make sure you take a run down the waterslide on their behalf, 'k?

3. Yeah, yeah. The hills are alive with the sound of Peej. I'll be here, stuck with a FOOT of freakin snow, if you need me for anything. :headache:

4. Good ol' Paco Bell Oliver Boomerang. D'you think that maybe his episodes are a result of his identity crisis? Poor thing. :sad2:

Oh, and have a great trip!

I have a stack of receipts to tally to see if NOT paying for the dinning plan worked in our favor or not.

Have a great time Peej!!!!!

Lynt: We got 10 inches and another storm is supposed to hit tomorrow morning.

Suit cases are empty, loads of wash are clean, some hung, some folded, very few put away. I have piles of stuff everywhere to be put away. The kids were all outside playing in the snow. Yesterday in the pool, today in the snow.

Why am I singing tip toe through the tulips?

Mony, welcome back! Hope your trip was incredible!

We got a foot of snow from yesterday afternoon to today, and there's another storm headed our way for tomorrow too. Ack!

wow. a whole foot of snow. gulp.

not as much as you got there, is it Lynt?:confused3

this is so weird. i am home alone. again. i basically picked up all bbn babies from various activities and deposited them elsewhere, but nobody actually came home with me. i SWEAR i showered. *sigh*

but THE dh is on his way and we are heading out for suppah before the little people find us again.

twink: Forgot to say that this image made me laugh.
I am now picturing the East River and West River people as roving gangs that have dance offs.

that IS very west side story.

The Jets vs The Sharks.

Lets see. Brett Favre could lead the Jets. cuz he does.

and who could lead the Sharks? Someone who despises (notice I did not say hates) Brett Favre and has something in common with a shark or sharks.
Hmmmmm.

okey dokey artichokeys i think that's all the silliness y'all can get out of me today.

i would be fun in a chat. i'm sleep deprived. maybe we can schedule one of those after Christmas. i'll be sure and take a Benadryl and have my twin sistah wife do the same.

Wendy Lou, quit dreaming of free accomodashions, your clan wont fit in a queen sized bed
:sad2:
What? Noooo, I'd pay you with hugs and a home cooked meal...and NO, It would be just me. I need a long nap with no kids or phones etc., and request my own bathroom and towel animals.

Howdy ho. Not ho ho ho. Just one ho, that is. How come I don't get to be the freakin queen of anything? Can I at least be the princess of something?

This week was crazy, I didn't really read back, and now there's a change of plans. So we were going to drive to Orlando on Monday (not today, bbn) and then get there Tuesday. Staying at Boardwalk Villas. Dad was complaining endlessly about driving. It's about 16 hours. So this morning he calls me and says "what if we fly?" uhhhhh oko, but I'm not paying for it! So dad says he'll pay for it and that's that. Now we're flying down tomorrow morning instead of driving Monday.

That begged the question of where we should say. The end.

Wait. Bbn, I have something for you.....

20 bucks to anyone who knows the name of that thing.

Okay, now it's the end.
Wildebeast? Yak? Is it in the bovine family? It almost looks Dr. Suess inspired.
LUCKY you! Boardwalk Villas is one of my favorites and 2 nights at AKL sounds heavenly. So....HAVE FUN! Keep us abreast of your goings on!

Poor Kitty!

Monica- WE got a foot of snow too. I shoveled 3 times in a 2 hour period yesterday (which is kinda like exercise). Each time I finished, I could have started again.

Lynt and BbN- I want to be the queen of something! Something legal and wholesome.

Moo, I guess I'm the very last person left who hasn't read a single syllable of the Twilight books. Edward, Schmedward, I say!

Weather update: As of 9am today, my area has gotten 9 inches of snow. Although there was a brief intermission in precipitation during the night, the snow had resumed by 5am, and is still coming down in swirling gusts. My kids wanted to go out and make a snowman immediately after breakfast this morning (7:30), but I told them to chillax for a bit in their pajamas.
Boo on the snow! My hubby and FIL pulled my car out of the snowbank this afternoon. Apparently, someone stopped by and asked my hubby if he needed any help with that and earlier today (while I was still in my jammies - goog thing I had my Disney sweatshirt hand to pull on), our assistant minister stopped by and asked if I'd like him to pull it out

L - I have no doubt that you'll eventually give in and read Twilight! ;)

You too, Twink ;) ;)

You guys post wayyyyyyyyyyy tooooooooooooo muchhhhhhhhhhhhh!

We are home. The plane was only delayed an hour and ten minutes.

We pulled into our drive at about 2am.

We did get lots of snow, but the only problem spots were where the wind blew it back onto the plowed roads and my street of course that never gets plowed. I floored it to get into my drive.

My neighbors moved all of our clutter in our garage to one side so we could pull into the garage and shoveled.:lovestruc

Much to do!
WELCOME HOME, MONY! Yay for having only a minimal delay and for wonderful neighbors :)

Howdy ho. Not ho ho ho. Just one ho, that is. How come I don't get to be the freakin queen of anything? Can I at least be the princess of something?

Queen of the educators works. OR you can be the Princess of Peejiness :goodvibes

Have a fabulous vacation! Boma - YUMMMMMMMY! I toured the Boardwalk model while on vacation. I ran out of time to visit the BLT model. Boardwalk looked like a great place to stay. My cousin and I ate at the brew pub restaurant and it was very good. Their beer cheese soup was OK, but it doesn't hold a candle to LeCellier's.

Marita - We went the futon with an Aerobed mattress on top of it route for DD's room as Pumba suggested, but as Wendy mentioned, those dang air mattresses lose air, and often develop hard-to-repair leaks.

Rob and DTD - I've never seen You Can't Take it with You. I think DH is about to nix watching it. I did watch the Miracle on 34th St. remake movie and the Patrick Stewart version of Christmas Carol earlier today, as well as Samantha Brown's Disney holiday special.

Wendy - Queen of the Peepinators!

1. Moo, I hope I'm not the only innocent thing who went there with THAT
2. Just got back from Blockbuster and it isn't available or stocked there. I'm wanting to see it and am forlorn now. :guilty:
3. Peepinator Queen. Sounds like an action flick starring Angelina Jolie. I'll take it! I forgot about my tag of Diet Pepsi Queen so I guess I can be the queen of two nations.

Lynt and BbN- I want to be the queen of something! Something legal and wholesome.

How 'bout Queen of the Mormonators? ;)

1. L - I have no doubt that you'll eventually give in and read Twilight! ;)

1a. You too, Twink ;) ;)

2. Queen of the educators works. OR you can be the Princess of Peejiness :goodvibes

1. Nah. I don't think so. My tastes run more toward detective fiction. Like Cornwell, Sandford and the Kellermans.

1a. I think Twink is too busy bending time and space to worry about Edward and his antics.

2. I definitely think Queen of the Educators is the way to go.

1. ACK! Wash your brain out with some soap, Wendy Lou!!! :rotfl:

2. We are actually watching You Can't Take it with You. I have never seen it before. I don't think hubby has either.

3. You definitely are the Diet Pepsi Queen

Lynette - It definitely wasn't my normal reading material either, but I had to see what all the hype was about . . .

We just watched Fred Clause. Cute movie. Now they are watching the hockey game.

This is the first year Nicholas knows we are Santa but Hannah thank goodness doesn't yet. She did say that there has to be more then one Santa because they all look different. Even the ones at the mall. When we went to see Santa at the mall Nicholas didn't come so she teased him and said he didn't get to see him...his answer, I get to see Santa everyday! My response to that was Santa sees everything Hannah. Even when your brother is naughty. She liked that.

P.J.-- Lucky you to spend your Christmas with family and at Disney.

Mony-- glad you made it home safe with little delay.

Moo-- More snow coming here tonight and tomorrow. We got about 9 inches and they say the same is coming over the next two days. Hope you can keep you car out of the snowbanks now.

Marita-- how is the cleaning coming along? I am glad I am going to other families houses so I don't really have to do a deep clean. I will straighten up before I leave though.

Wendy: I think you are Queen of Exfoliators.

Peeeeej- are you still here? or there? or anywhere? I have Anastasia pics ready to post but I know you don't read back so.

Lynette- Ding ding ding. Yes we have a winner. I am too busy to read for fun. And if I did have time, I have never been into vampires. Me getting to read anything non school related is not going to happen anytime soon. I just finished chapter 3 of my textbook tonight. Good thing nothing much has changed about the cell cycle since I last taught. ;)

Everybodee else- Yes, I also vote for a post Christmas chat. Or pre Christmas.

Twink - Queen of the Calculators? I thought you were Queen of the Mutators!

I know I'm lucky to have plenty of spare time to read. One of the "joys" of being an empty nester.

So is WT King of the Punctuators?

I haven't quite figured out what I am, since Marita beat me to the punch on Queen of the Procrastinators. At work, they'd probably call me Queen of the Editors . . .

Marita-- how is the cleaning coming along? I am glad I am going to other families houses so I don't really have to do a deep clean. I will straighten up before I leave though.

Slowly! I took a long winters nap  And then chatted with BFF, mostly about quitting smoking.

My only accomplishment today was doing a load of holiday dishes so far (yet to be unloaded). But I'm getting there... Oh, and I DID do some uncluttering too! HAH! But I should last till 3 AM, so I guess I have some time left to do things.

Wendy, LOL at the comment about the minister! :rotfl:

I slept through most of Elf and chatted through the rest, but I have both that and Rob's movie on DVR now, so I will play those whilst cleaning. I need those little helper creatures from Enchanted. Why is it I never notice how dusty the AC grill is till company is expected???
I lent (lend?), I had knitfreak borrow all my Twilight books to take on her vacation, since her fiancee has to work most of the time. To be honest, I was not all that thrilled with them (the last book a was the best), but I stuck with them, so now I want to see the movie. On a big screen, I am not normally a movie goer.

Oh, and I vote for a Friday night chat. But heck, about any night will work for me, LOL.
I'm with Moo, benefits of empty nesters...

Hey, Robin, your light is still on! I now got 2 replies, both saying pretty much not to bother unless you are are mentally ready. So I guess I will save my $350 plus supplements.
Yeah, I couldn't go to sleep last night so my light was on super late but I made productive use of my time -- I paid bills along with DISing.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, just not today
say all lazy people

Well, it DOES rhyme in German! :santa:
This thread needs MORE German rhymes Marita! :thumbsup2

Rob, you're scaring me. This is one of my faves. Lionel Barrymore's grace is the best prayer I've ever heard. I have this on tape, and since I just got rid of most of my cable, I may dig that out. thsnkd for putting the idear in my head.
1. You obviously have superb taste in movies, DTD. :thumbsup2

2. YOU are welcome! :)

1. Moo, I hope I'm not the only innocent thing who went there with THAT
1. No comment.
and 2. You ARE the only one. Even I who "go there" on almost everything did not go there on that.

Rob - That was a goog movie!
Glad you liked it Moo! I actually have only seen bits and pieces of it tonight so far as I was assembling an air hockey table for my boys (an early Christmas present from my parents for the kids -- no, the kids, really, NOT me -- that took five hours to assemble :scared: (and my dad helped me for 90 minutes of that!). The store wanted $249 to assemble it, in our home, for us so I guess I made $49.80 per hour ($249 divided by 5 hours) which isn't too bad (or a bit less if you count my dad's labor in there too)).

Anyway, I saw enough of the film to see firecrackers both made and set off IN the house and I saw "Grandpa" convince the bank teller (?) to leave his boring accounting job and come to their home to follow his passion (which I think was making toys of some sort). And, from past viewings, I seem to remember some grand scene with everyone dancing and having fun and the house basically in a chaotic frenzy of motion. I plan to watch it, in relative peace, in about 20 minutes here, though I'm also wanting to do some Christmas reading (Max Lucado's The Christmas Candle) tonight or tomorrow for sure.

-- Rob

It doesn't look like SNL is new, Rob.

Marita - I didn't get all that much done around the house today either. Mostly laundry and dishes and a little bit of decluttering. I don't know where to put most of the crap that has accumulated on the dining room table. Much of which was in or on the old TV cabinet.

Dang VHS tapes. DH is still deciding whether to put the VHS video player in the new stand.

Moo, I hear you about where to put all that crap. Indeed. Today, I put a hurricane candle away that was sitting on the fireplace since last Christmas (DH to DD). She said, I dont need that! Umm, what about if a hurricane comes? We had 3 in 6 weeks in 2004. But NOO. So I put it in the hall closet. Where I discovered we had one already there. Apparently, both kids and I got one last year. I also put away yet another beerstein that DD did not want.
DH just goes overboard every year. I hope he is better this year.

I also still have an extra electronic water thingy jewelry cleaner (I wear ear rings and a watch) and a digital picture frame and I cant remember what else in the office.

HMMM, maybe I should make a trip to Goodwill tomorrow????? Just down the road....

1. Yeah, I saw that. I watched the Sarah Palin opening but now am starting You Can't Take It With You.

2. Ugh on VHS tapes is right. When we got new carpeting in the house late this past summer, we boxed up all of the kids' videotapes and now have 11 boxes containing approximately 220 children tapes (accumulated over 12 years) down in our basement storage room and have no idea what to do with them (landfilling them seems like a waste).

-- Rob

Rob-
I would see if Children's Mercy wants them. I think they still have a library of VHS for the kids in the hospital to watch.

If not then craigslist or yard "sell".... frugal mamas and in-home daycares buy those things. Even if you only get 10 cents/tape it is better than storing them at your house or landfilling.

Do you have anything good? We watched Christmas in Connecticut last night on VHS because as far as I know it don't exist otherwise. That is my favorite Christmas movie. Right behind it is White Christmas/Holiday Inn (they really are the same).

I keep wanting to get rid of all of our VHS and we don't even have that many but my packrat husband won't let me.

Ugg, bad news! I found a massaging lumbar pillow (minus the cord) in between one couch and an end table. Very dusty, likely never used. ANd I just bought DH a massager with heat for his back for this Xmas. Hope I have the receipt!

All this gift giving is ridiculous, unless it's for needy families, or kids. It should be outlawed for adults who can get whateven they want (well, within reason, I might want a mansion and servants, but cant get those.) But you know what I mean.

I'm glad our extended family decided to restrict gifts giving to other extended family members to kids up to 12. After that, you're out of luck!

So, no gifts to Uncle Larry or Cousin Renee

AHH, the smells of the season!
