L - You'd better hope that B doesn't have venomous teeth like Edward Cullen! ;)

Moo, I guess I'm the very last person left who hasn't read a single syllable of the Twilight books. Edward, Schmedward, I say!

Lynt, somehow I missed the biting references :confused3

Well, I guess most of the references have been made over there, which might be why you missed them.

Weather update: As of 9am today, my area has gotten 9 inches of snow. Although there was a brief intermission in precipitation during the night, the snow had resumed by 5am, and is still coming down in swirling gusts. My kids wanted to go out and make a snowman immediately after breakfast this morning (7:30), but I told them to chillax for a bit in their pajamas.

I think I'm going to do some gift wrapping today. Have a great Saturday, everyone!!!

I've read them and I say Edward Schmedward too.

Well, I guess you can't be expected to bend time and space, raise 52 kids, hold a part-time job AND keep up with contemporary vampire fiction, can you now Twink?

BBN, love your edit. Nice to see you embracing the holiday spirit. :santa:

You guys post wayyyyyyyyyyy tooooooooooooo muchhhhhhhhhhhhh!

We are home. The plane was only delayed an hour and ten minutes.

We pulled into our drive at about 2am.

We did get lots of snow, but the only problem spots were where the wind blew it back onto the plowed roads and my street of course that never gets plowed. I floored it to get into my drive.

My neighbors moved all of our clutter in our garage to one side so we could pull into the garage and shoveled.:lovestruc

Much to do!

GOOD MORNING! :santa:

...and DIS friend visits. ;) Good luck on the quitting. Just put them down and walk away. Chew nicorette gum. Use a patch. Just QUIT!

I am publicly accusing you of skimming, Lexi! I HAVE tried all those, it's the mental readiness that is lacking. Without that, it doesn't work.

Mrs. The King furthermore to be know as MTK....Gross but funny.

What is gross about MTK? (the abbreviation, not the person)? Is there something I'm missing? :confused3

I know the holidays are coming fast and faster......but I want to tell you before it gets to nutzy.......How much I have appreciated all the support, the fun, and the seriousness we have had in this thread........no one could ever imagine that.

thanks again everyone...
marie

I second that sentiment! :grouphug:

Congrats on quitting, Pumba. A futon is a goog idea, I just worry it might be too small for 2 people. Then again, there are no future kids in law in sight at the moment.

Welome home, Mony! Glad you made it with minimal delay.

OK, on to get to my assigned chores... First order of business: decluttering

The FedEx truck just passed by my house without stopping. WTH? I am still waiting on a few package...

Have a great day, everyone

Who's calling Tim tiny????????

oh gosh. that's your dh's name, isn't it?

I have no knowledge of Tim's tiny/not tiny stature, features, et ceterah et ceterah et ceterah.

consider that post stricken from the record.

 MTK and BSG and pumba

Alrighty. I am showered. Smell oh so nice. and it is now time to collect babynurse babies from various activites.

1. Julia Roberts and Boy Who Survives Bike Wrecks and Can Still Carry On the Family Name are at a church youth Christmas brunch. It is semi formal. They look freakin' adorable.

2. Gigantor is at my brothers with his cousin.

3. Red is at gma's

4. Dh is at work. He never works Saturday, but tis the season. Can I get a ho, ho, ho? strike that too. all you'd end up with is an empty wallet and a need for a shot of penicillin, 'cillin 'cillin.

Have a nice rest of your day.

BBN, Queen of Emulators, those dancing nutcracker freakazoids with Santa are frigging hilarious!

My decluttering progress is not going very well :(

OK, I'm going to try again........

I need a Queen title too... Queen of Procrastinators. Yep, that's the ticket!

Marita, I think that's an excellent title for you. ;)

Now git crack-a-lackin on the de-cluttering! :rotfl:

:rotfl: You know I would just eat chili and melt that snow with my one and only super power :loudfart:
ATTENTION TAG FAIRY: Seriously. Stop by-passing MTK. Everything she says is tag-worthy.

BDG, did you want to bite me? Cuz you may. ::yes::
An invite to a bite?
Yes, she is ruthless! No garage (with any room left), no balcony like my mom has that is cold, no cellar at all. I am doomed! :faint:
Here's the deal. I LOVE your dd. I am JUST like her. I always assume my target audience (kids) will find a loophole in my instructions, so "clean up your room" is usually not nearly sufficient to placate me. I cover every angle and excuse in my original orders. So, "clean up your room" comes out something like: "...and don't think I won't check under your bed and in the secret-stash corners of your closet"

EEK, I just posted my first ever thread starter question on the CB
About laser treatment for quitting smoking

I am kind of nervous, not my thing to do normally Where is the nail biting smiley??????????
You didn't post a link for us lazy-lima-beans? I'll go post and pretend to be an uppity-up (no, I'm NOT an uppity-up).

Poll question first:

When DD moves out, she is taking her bed.
Should we get an inflatable mattress for occasional visits by DS, or invest in a queen bed for future (very future) visits by married children?
Ponder that over your hectic Holiday weekend :rolleyes1
Get a Queen size real bed because it's handy to have and air mattresses lose air during the night. Plus if you have out of town guests...

Wendee....I got the Guiness Book of World Records with 3-D glasses. It's awesome! They were all sold out of the Ripley's book.
Costco! At

I would keep Tiny Tim on the outside. :sad2:
See? OMGosh I freaking heart you!

Who's calling Tim tiny????????
:rotfl2:

Tomorrow, tomorrow, just not today
say all lazy people

Well, it DOES rhyme in German! :santa:
That's beautiful!

Howdy ho. Not ho ho ho. Just one ho, that is. How come I don't get to be the freakin queen of anything? Can I at least be the princess of something?

This week was crazy, I didn't really read back, and now there's a change of plans. So we were going to drive to Orlando on Monday (not today, bbn) and then get there Tuesday. Staying at Boardwalk Villas. Dad was complaining endlessly about driving. It's about 16 hours. So this morning he calls me and says "what if we fly?" uhhhhh oko, but I'm not paying for it! So dad says he'll pay for it and that's that. Now we're flying down tomorrow morning instead of driving Monday.

That begged the question of where we should say. I called the cast line thinking they were going to laugh in my face when I asked for a room for Sunday and Monday night and my new bff, Pepe says "I have a room at Animal Kingdom Lodge those 2 nights with your 60% holiday discount and the dining plan for $20/night." I say OKAY, LET'S DO IT!! :thumbsup2 Then Pepe got me an ADR at Boma tomorrow night and Le Cellier Candlelight Processional package Monday night. Pepe is truly my bff.

So, 2 more nights in Disney, what's to complain about? Life is grand, the birds are singing, the sky is blue.

I will now be driving to Cincinnati since that is where we're flying out of. Paco Bell Oliver Boomerang (see, L) the Cat is staying with my 2nd bff, Eren, so I need to drop him there. Then, I need to take the family pup to my aunt's house. I know when we're at Boardwalk Villas we get free internet, so I'll check in with y'all there! Aw heck, I might even check in tonight from mom and dad's house.

The end.

Wait. Bbn, I have something for you.....

20 bucks to anyone who knows the name of that thing.

Okay, now it's the end.

Wendy Lou, quit dreaming of free accomodashions, your clan wont fit in a queen sized bed
:sad2:
PEEJ, congrats on flying and meeting your new BFF. I would wave at you from across the lake while you are at BWV, but I won't be around. :dance3:

BTW, I am busy cleaning the holiday dishes in the dishwasher as we speak! Microwave tray is soaking, microwave is sprayed with cleaner, awaiting cleaning. Next is the selection of tableclothes that need to be cleaned (from what I don't know, they have stashed away (washed) for a year,) but I guess that's the thing to do, right?

Wine glasses are waiting to be hand washed, oh Joy! The top of the fridge needs cleaning, but I am NOT stepping on a chair or ladder anymore, I am going to delegate that task.

DH went to get more stuff to install the new sink in the guest bathroom, but that is where it ended. He is watching TV now. But first I had to empty out all the stuff from underneath the sink. Which is all DD's. Hehe, more room in the future for me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Meanwhile, my slave-driving DD is taking a nap!

Frank Capra's You Can't Take it With You starring Jean Arthur, Lionel Barrymore, and Jimmy Stewart is on tomorrow evening, Saturday, December 20, on Turner Classic Movies (TCM). This film was the first collaboration between Capra and Stewart.

This romantic comedy (which might be too much of a girly film for some on this thread) won Oscars for Best Picture and Best Director in 1938 and was nominated for Oscars in Best Supporting Actress (Spring Byington), Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Sound Recording, and Best Screenplay Writing.

A great film that I have been anxiously waiting to catch again on TV (guess I'm too lazy to drive all the way to Blockbuster Video  ), so I'm thrilled that it's coming on this weekend and set my DVR for it tonight.

Rob, you're scaring me. This is one of my faves. Lionel Barrymore's grace is the best prayer I've ever heard. I have this on tape, and since I just got rid of most of my cable, I may dig that out. thsnkd for putting the idear in my head.

what can I say? I've embraced my inner Tiny Tim.
You'd embrace HIM?
TinyTim.jpg
and worse, he's inside ya.

He wore diapers, ya know? He was very anal in his ways, in more ways than one.
I know this from Howard Stern interviews, before Howard banished himself to a place never to be heard from again.

I might have to record that movie tonight. I think I am going to watch "Elf" first, I dont think I ever saw it. But then again, I might be wrong, you all know my memory issues.....

Marita, if you haven't seen Elf, it is a must see. It's freakin hilarious. Also, we'll be at BWV till January 5th. Surely you can find some time to wave at me between then and now!

I am stalling on leaving. The cat is having a complete breakdown so I'm trying to wait till he chillaxes. He hates the vacuum more than anything. Hisses at it, puffs his tail out, and generally spazzes. I of course just vacuumed so he about had a heart attack. I then got out his cat carrier to get in the car and he looked like he might explode. Oh yeah, I had forgotten that there's one thing he hates more than the vacuum....the carrier of course! Poor thing looks rather distraught.

I'll be back to work December 29, for at least 3 days (hopefully not MORE). Frigging forecast week again.
Maybe we can hook up one day for Ice cream or something? Monday afternoon would be best for me. If not, I will be sure to at least wave

And you have one messed up CAT! :rolleyes1
