Terribly. Now I feel as though my life is complete again. Welcome back!
I get that a lot. ;) I hear that I should stay home these since you have unleashed a new driver into the midwest. I hope he has a long and SAFE driving career. :wizard:

WDW Update: It was VERY wet and chilly at AK today :( .

But I would take a wet and chilly AK day over a cold and sunny walmart day like I had.

He's getting his tooth pulled. The one he chipped up way back when. A friend from church owns his own dental practice and when I showed him the cyst he gets above his tooth he made an appointment ASAP for him. Free of charge! Woot!! My poor baby is going to have a very wonky smile for a few years. lol!

Twinkerbell just had 4 teeth pulled right before we left for WDW. The hardest part for them is the wIerd feeling the novacaine gives as it wears off.

Twinkie, welcome home! We need a trip report for sure. You are so good at that. I still remember recommending yours to my GM back 3 or so years ago.

Thanks. I am mulling over the possibility. The cons are 1) maybe I shouldn't start something I can't finish because I start teaching in just a few weeks..... I have a whole text book to read and semester to plan. ACK!
2) my sister has RL coworkers who are on the disboards.... I am not sure I want worlds to collide. 3) I am not sure I have a goog story to tell.

1) 5 kids and work? What kind of a lame excuse is that????????

2) What's to hide? I'm sure you won't be writing about posting with
teenage boys posting from their mama's basement on a public message
board! And you sister told her coworkers your DIS ID? Bad form!

3) Oh no, was the trip not goog????

Marita - Keep us updated. I hope it is the little girl. Poor thing is much better off in heaven than kidnapped. And I don't trust the Grandparents as their story has changed over the course of the investigation.

Wow, big doin's here today! I see bbn went on her own personal posting frenzy complete with sappy kid stories. Does life really get any better than this?

Wendy...I wanna request no cupcakes!!!! I've actually brought in treats twice for kids who I knew their parents would never in a million years send anything in. :sad1: Both times I made COOKIES and it was glorious! Man I hate cupcakes. It's a disaster waiting to happen.
p.s. your log looks like a glorified ho ho. Surely someone can take that and run. Heh.

L...perhaps the next Christmas miracle will be unabomber getting some new clothes. Wait. Maybe you can get him some holiday CHEER!!!! Get it??? CHEER???? Detergent? FOR HIM TO DO HIS LAUNDRY WITH!!!!! Oh man, I'm brilliant. Do it now, thank me later.

1. Sounds like a great idea to me.

2. Look, I played along with your favorite song thing, but Ive just about had it with you dictating what we are going to post about it. I dont play by yer stinkin' rules
1. I always think you'll get sick of the whole changing other people's posts trick. And yet you always come back to it. Can you really not even come up with some new material? Sheesh.
2. First you don't want to post a song then you don't want to post about food? What's next, not wanting to post about Peyton Manning? I didn't see this turn of events coming. Color me confused.

Marita...yikes. As horrible as it is, I hope it's Caylee. There needs to be some peace. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

MommyP...I agree with you that it's supposed to be cold on Christmas. Snow is just icing on the cake. And not a big cookie fan? :faint:

Pumba..fudge with no nuts???!?! Y'all keep confusing me tonight!

TWINKESSORI....WELCOME HOME!!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Sorry your trip is over but we missed you!!! Can we at least get some kind of photo summary of the trip here on the thread or over there. Then you can delete the pictures. I definitely wanna see a pic of your Anastasia. I need to compare notes. Which is different from cheating. :rolleyes1

Random thoughts -
peppermint is good. Anyone who doesn't like it is a freak.
I want to see the pictures of the identical strangers!
I want to see pics of the twinkies with hollywood.
I want to see pics.
I like peppermint.
I'm all gushy over the breadman.
I'm very tired this week and overworked.
which is weird.
I'm hungry.
I DO like santa baby - it's my number three song. But I like the eartha kitt version.
and I didn't realize it was a deed to a platinmum mine.
I thought it was a platinum line as in credit.
but a deed to a line of credit doesn't make much sense.
I don't wanna drive home tomorrow, but I want to BE home.
I also don't want to go to the vestry meeting at church tomorrow night. they always seem to last until 10 or 11, then I have to take my mom home then I have to drive to the breadman's house. icky poo.
I really don't know what to do with all this....

Lexi...:wave2:

No. Though I may have given PJ a "potential meet" scare when DS13's (then DS12's) baseball team was seriously discussing playing in a post-season baseball tournament at WDW last summer during the time she was working at Chef Mickey's.
Not one of the better memories of my summer at Chef Mickey's. In fact, it's making me feel a bit wukety just remembering it. :scared:

Moo...sorry about the weather, but I am sooo jealous of your Boma dinner tonight. YUM!

Commence full out Christmas frenzy. I shall return.

I have met a few Moovers.......
Let me see if I can remember.

Celery...didnt know it was her when she was sitting right next to me.

utah Mama.....went up to her and said HEY who are you.....and she said utah mama....and I said I am marie.

Then I met Debbie.....I know I met someone else.....I think it was Marita.....?? was it????????
remember I am old......so my memory is the first to go...ROFL....

meeting you guys even for the short time was fantastic.......:grouphug:

Yes it was me! :grouphug: About one of fastest meets in history, LOL!

Dinner is eaten (proscuitto (sp?) on a heated Chicago roll with cheese.
I have to wrap my wine to hide in shoebox for tomorrows white elephant exchange now and then order DD's gifts.
Hope I can find the wrapping paper! Didn't even think about that till just now....

I even remember saying HEY to Wendys hubby who was a bump on the bench like my hubby.....
I do have to tell you that I never ever tell anyone the location I am at when I go on vacation.....usually I say I am going to Disney but not when or where...I mean from any websites....But I trusted you guys.....it was a great FAST meet..

/
I've never met Haley who has supposedly met WT, so to me WT doesn't really exist. ;o)

I've met:
Luther
Moo
Wendy
Celery

and now Twinkie!

I really hope we can all plan a time when we all go again. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to have tea with everyone! It would be SO much fun!!!
I have met in person and confirmed the following to not be imaginary:
Pumba
Marita
Cheryl
Amanda
Celery
Melinder
Sandy
Nab- whom I didn't realize it was her till well into our visit
I know I'm forgetting someone IMPORTANT

several vikings

lots of WISH thread Peeps

misc. DISers

I'm pretty sure WT is real and not a figment. :cool2:

I hear ya. Get this...in Pissy's preschool newsletter this month, her teacher reminded us that Show and Tell is kind of a big deal to the kids (it IS!) and that some of the kids repeatedly have nothing to "show" and sadly go through their pockets and back-packs in search for something, anything :guilty: The teacher is good enough to hook them up with a little toy to show and tell. Seriously. How busy can some parents be to not even have time for these little details? :sad2:

Norah has the "Treat Bucket" for next Tuesday, which is another HUGE deal for preschool. I let her pick out the treats and she does pretty well at not picking overly messy snacks.

A bump on a bench!!!! :rotfl2: At the time, he was NOT at all wanting me to use ANY of our vacation time meeting "friends". He was actually miffed when complete strangers approached me about my TR. :confused3 What-evah!

It was wonderful meeting you, Poom!

I'm listening to Josh Groban's "Noel" album while sporting flannel granny-pj's, all cozy-wozy, but my fever is back (only 99*, but still) ! GEEZ! This is kicking my bum. Early to bed for me again!

Wendy Lou, feel better again! Sucks being
I found your DH quite charming that day, actually, he must have changed his tune or put on a really goog show

Finished wrapping my wine in the box. I managed to grab a roll of wrapping paper, but no luck on ribbons or bows. The container is buried under something heavy that I couldn't lift, and DH is long since in bed. So just a plain wrapped shoebox, sure to be one of the last ones to be picked. But I am sure there will be attempts to steal a Magnum of Cabernet, if I have to steal it myself, LOL! I sure could use it for my Xmas eve party! One year I ended up with Pooka shells that I threw away as soon as I got home. What the helk are you supposed to do with that????

I dont know WHY I do this, but I am watching Food Network Holiday special with foods that I will never ever make, like pork loin dinner or parmesan crisps or roasted almonds with cranberries to be presented as gifts in jars festooned with festive bows..... Just not in my nature! I race just to get my house cleaned and make the basic dinner.
Which reminds me, I need to discuss DD's plan for the party menu with her soonishly... (if you remember, she announced she is planning on cooking this year, which should be interesting!)

By the way, I am feeling somewhat vindicated that I didnt find the toys for tots place yesterday. Apparently, it was quite hidden, in a warehouse even, not labeled "Salvation Army". Then again, I was the ONLY one not to find it  But they said it was really hard work and not sure that I would have been able to handle it. My stamina is not the best for physical things. So good thing I went home and just did work from home with my legs up and a glass of wine!:)

OH dang, BBN, I forgot to comment on REDs' hilarious antics! You do have a genius in the making on your hands!

Oh they go crazy over show and tell. And YEP, always the same kids with nothing to share. Which are the same kids who have nothing on their birthdays, never get to go on the field trips because they have no permission slips, had no halloween costumes, etc. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: Don't get me started!

Yikes. Feel better soon! Both of my beurkers from the other day were still out today. I am majorly crossing my fingers I don't get that one!

Well, I'm going to have to come back to my apartment tomorrow before going to Cincinnati. That wasn't at all the plan. Ugh. It's a long story, but basically part of Hollywood's Christmas present didn't get here in time and should arrive sometime tomorrow while I'm at school. Other than that, every family member's (even the obscure aunts and uncles!) present is purchased, wrapped, and ready to be put in the car. I'm pretty proud of myself on that one!

The whole extended fam will come over to my mom's house and we'll celebrate Christmas this weekend. This is the best way for us to do it since many won't be in town on the 25th. We did this last year, too. I'll light a candle at dinner for grandma. It will be our first Christmas without her. She will be greatly missed. :grouphug:

Well, that's all I've got. Sweet dreems, Moovers!

2. Thanks Twink. Me too.

2) What's to hide? I'm sure you won't be writing about posting with teenage boys posting from their mama's basement on a public message board! And you sister told her coworkers your DIS ID? Bad form!
Hmmm, I'm not sure if this is referring to my post to Melinda the other day or not but I assure you I am NOT a teenage boy (which probably makes it even sadder that I'm living in my parents' basement).

Not one of the better memories of my summer at Chef Mickey's. In fact, it's making me feel a bit wukety just remembering it. :scared:
Ha! The reality is you should be so lucky. ;)

Don't feel bad, Rob, I know somebody who lives in his OWN basement! On account of the wife taking up all the upstairs space with centuries old magazines and shopping bags and myriads of other stuff that she refuses to get rid of! And yes, I told him he is a wuss!

1. your log looks like a glorified ho ho. Surely someone can take that and run. Heh.

2. Brilliant, Peej! Holiday CHEER! Hoo boy, yer a funny one tonight, I tell you what.

Norah has the "Treat Bucket" for next Tuesday, which is another HUGE deal for preschool. I let her pick out the treats and she does pretty well at not picking overly messy snacks.

*sigh* I miss the Treat Bucket. OH, and even better than that was the Mystery Box. Boris and Natasha always got a hoot outta that! These days, they're waaaay too sophisticated for such things. :sad1:

Tomorrow morning is Natasha's winter concert at school. She's VERY excited, and a bit nervous, since she was chosen to recite a poem from memory and introduce her class. She spent quite a while picking out a necklace and earrings to go with the dress she chose for tomorrow. Such a girly girl!

Wendy, get some rest and feel better soon!

Peej, I'll remember your family and especially your G-ma in my prayers. Hope your family get-together goes well!

Marita, I think I may have told y'all that the Caylee Anthony story first broke when I was at WDW last summer. I was riveted by it...so heartbreaking. I hope the remains that were found are Caylee, just so there is some peace and resolution to this awful story.

MommyP, pixie dust for Kaleb. Hope his visit to the dentist is a quick and relatively painless one!

That's all for tonight. Sweet dreams, everyone!

:santa: I wrapped 102 gifts at Amazon tonight!:santa:

I know. Fascinating, right?

Now I have to drink 102 beers to counteract the adrenaline rush. Unfortunately, I only have 4. And some cough medicine.

Rob...Thank you for that enlightening post?

Lynette!....I wrapped a gift tonight with a gift card that was signed "Boris, Natasha, and Roxie". I couldn't remember your dog's name but I did check to see if the package was going to Massachusetts. :)

MommyP....Poor Kaleb! Maybe they'll give him the Bozo nose?! (Nitrous) It makes everything.....O.....K.....!

Marita....googlemaps.com

Haley has met WT and I've met Haley, so I guess that counts. :confused3
I've met Haley but I didn't know who she was. So does that mean I've met WT too? Vicariously? Anyway, Haley and Mr. Silly were at rope drop at AK and I conversed with them a little. Here's a picture:
101_9410.jpg

OK....it's the backs of their heads but it's the only evidence I have.

meeting you guys even for the short time was fantastic.......:grouphug:
I was at Flame Tree that day too!!! You were talking to Wendy and she came over and said "It's Pumba!" and I turned around again and you were GONE! Sorry I missed you!

the next Christmas miracle will be unabomber getting some new clothes. Wait. Maybe you can get him some holiday CHEER!!!! Get it??? CHEER????
Again....totally worth a visit to the DIS. :lmao:

Ever-body.....:wave2:

Hmmm, is this person and his wife someone who is very, very, very, very close to you? Perhaps the wife is of German descent?

Rob...Thank you for that enlightening post?
YOU are welcome! Hmmm, maybe I will start posting my daily itinerary for you...

Parental brag on that football banquet: DS16 was called up to the stage, by name, three times tonight. I'm most proud of the Academic Athlete achievement award he got (along with some other players who also qualified) for playing on the sophomore football team while pulling down a 4.0 GPA.

:guilty: on the Halloween costumes, etc. I KNOW of the kids you speak :guilty:

Christmas for you and your family will be bittersweet without your Grandmother  I love the candle idea!

1. I...uhm....oh, never mind.

1. Glorified Ho-Ho's are sooooo yumscious! (run with THAT!)
2. Dallen's first "concert" for Orchestra is next Wednesday. I think that was Jingle Bells he was practicing on his violin :confused3 :lovestruc I have to practice the mom-face of not quinging (sp) at certain notes that are "played" :scared: (Actually, it's not that bad)
2 1/2. I love Natasha's girliness! :cutie:

I KNEW I forgot someone! Nab! I met Nab too.

Luther - Nope. He's an adult dentist, only doing this because we're friends and he doesn't carry that option because he doesn't want to enable all the druggies around here? lol

Yikes! CLUTTER!!!!! I'm pretty sure hoarding is a mental illness, which I'm qualified to diagnose since I'm practically a(n) RN.

:rotfl:

Most of you who have met me have met Mamacel too.
except for Melinda and marie.

peej - you are sooo smart with the christmas cheer.

I still have to drive home. waaaah!

marita - I can't skip the church meeting. I'm not rerunning for the vestry (church board), so this is my last official meeting. to skip it would make baby jesus cry!
I'll have to attend the one in January too, but that should be it.

back to work.
Yes, I'm at work.
and then I'll drive 5 hours.
and then I'll go back to work.
I'm a dedicated employee, I tell ya what!

amanda - do you have some news for us? What's with your signature?
