I think I've mentioned this before, but my grandparents had 5 boys, then 5 girls. Thank googness, cause Mom was the baby. So be real careful if it's a girl, you could end up with a houseful.;)

this is so awesome......another Moovers baby to look at....well when you guys post an occasional photo..

today is an out of school day.....so I had a few rug rats at the house...even hubby went to work at five am and came home at quarter of eight.....he got to work ...turned on computer....got his files going and whammo....no electric.......alot of Maine is powerless......our son and dil almost came to stay with us.......they were without power from last night till two this afternoon...we were fortunate and most of the banks stayed open so I got the rug rats.....made sloppy joes for lunch and brownies for dessert.......tonight hubby and I went to the chinese buffet and I had two big plates of steamers......my most favorite thing.....only problem was the clams and the shrimp and the salmon were sort of fighting for position to spawn.......YUCK.......I rest my case...

very excited again about a new moovers baby....Congratulations

almost forgot.....my daddy was one of six kids......and the last was my Aunt ..five boys and one girl.......hahaha

Due to current economic volatility, the light at the end of the tunnel has been temporarily disabled.
Just ran across this on the CB Board.

MommyP, yikes on the tooth, but Kaleb looks in good spirits. :thumbsup2
Have you told the boys about the new baby yet? What did they say. And when is it due????

I stole my own bottle of wine back two turns after a person stole it from the first recipient at the White Elephant exchange! :)

MommyP, congratulations! Have you figured out your due date(ish) yet? Poor Kaleb..that tooth was ginormous! Youch!

Lynette!....I wrapped a gift tonight with a gift card that was signed "Boris, Natasha, and Roxie". I couldn't remember your dog's name but I did check to see if the package was going to Massachusetts. :)

Melinda, our dog's name is Mojo. But if anyone would like to send me a package full of goodies, I'm okay with that! :rotfl:

2. Dallen's first "concert" for Orchestra is next Wednesday. I think that was Jingle Bells he was practicing on his violin :confused3 :lovestruc I have to practice the mom-face of not quinging (sp) at certain notes that are "played" :scared: (Actually, it's not that bad)
2 1/2. I love Natasha's girliness! :cutie:

Wendell, all 3rd graders are required to learn to play the recorder. This means that for the past several weeks we have been treated to Boris practicing the melodic strains of "Hot Cross Buns". Over and over and over..................

Natasha's concert went very well. She was a scoche nervous this morning, but she did a great job reciting her poem and introducing her class too!

OK, VENTING HERE!

I just spent 1 1/2 hours shopping online for gifts for DH and DS.

First, I thought DH would enjoy a George Carlin Desk Calendar. We both always enjoyed him.
But it kept saying, please enter CC number. I DID, like 6 times, and yes I verified it. I just used it this afternoon. ANd I have a lots of credit on that card, but no go!

Please enter a CC #
Please enter a CC #
Please enter a CC #

Please enter a CC #

Well, I did, 6 times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:furious:

So then I moved on to sweaters. Turtleneck for DH for frost control nights, and a polo shirt for DS. After an hour of looking, I was ready to order and I got:
1) Out of stock!

2) Backordered till 1/4

:furious:

So I guess a trip to the mall is in my future for this weekend, heaven help me!!! I hate shopping at the best of times, but its going go be crazy this weekend!

UPDATE: I found another site that worked, and got gifts ordered, WHEW! Crises avoided! And they are supposed to get here in time.

UPDATE 2: All George Carlin 2009 calendars are currently out of stock whereever you look!

Marita - We haven't told the boys yet.

I am due sometime in August. I won't ever know more precisely until I go to the Dr. and have an ultrasound.

Well, I see that is time for our annual tradition of helping the Poppins come up with a Biblical boy's name that they haven't already used. :lmao: ;) After much thought I think my current favorite is

Melchizadek

:thumbsup2 Seriously, congratulations to you both! May you have a happy & healthy 9 months as you await meeting the newest little Poppins.

And now for some random musings:

Peej: Christmas Cheer! :rotfl: We could all use some Christmas Cheer. Only some of us more than others. Heh. Well, I downloaded my 138 photopass pictures and my 280 pictures from my camera to discover that I don't have any of the 1900 Park Fare dinner. We ate late, and goldenchild fell asleep in my lap as we met Cindy & crew. I think DH was shoveling his face (the food was delish) instead of photographing. I am certain that either my dad or sister took pictures but I just have to wait for them to send me their stuff. However I am 100% certain that our Anastasia is someone you know and love. She was so sweet even when trying not to be.

Lexy: 102 presents. Wow. When are you coming by my house again? And why did you take on this elf gig? I am sure you said but I skimmed the stuff I missed.

I hope Moo and Mony are having a great time!

MP- Toothless is a goog look!

Last edited by TwinkieMama : Today at 08:33 AM. Reason: I just fed my children cookies for breakfast. Bring on the Christmas Cheer.

I can see that backfiring. lol!

mommyp - Congrats!

twinks - I hope you don't post the pics while I'm at breadman's on dialup.

I got an A in statistics!
wooo!!!!!
that is the most rewarding A I've ever gotten.

Excellent choice, Twinkie. I just googled a bit for biblical names (1,595 results!!) and came up with:

Ammi-nadab

meaning: my people are liberal ;)

Celery, congrats on your A:banana:

I'll pass on both of those. Thanks anyway.

My favorites are:
Josiah
Micah
Levi

OK, I'll put in a vote for Micah.

Maybe you should post a poll!

Lynt- Hot cross buns, hot cross buns. One a penny, two a penny, hot cross buns. Thank for cementing that into my gray matter.

Twinkie- Melchizadek is a fine name! I think Grasshopper needs a little sister. Cookies for "bre-fus" :thumbsup2

Marita- good going after going postal!

SNOWING bumloads today here! OY!

The New Arby's Commercial (NO, it's not porn)...

I vote for August 7, DS's birthday. He's a great kid (well, adult kid, but still... or even more so, since he survived his teens and 20's in grand fashion without getting in trouble)
