Oh, I have another Knitfreak update. She is packing up things in her apartment to get ready to move in a couple of weeks. So today she said she has 1 and 1/2 boxes of yarn to sell or give away.

Is it wool? I'll take it(for free) if it is. I'm going to learn to knit so I can make wool soakers, shorties and longies for the new babe.

Celery - She's pregnant again? Geesh. Don't they know what causes that?

What have I missed lately?

I've been sewing like crazy. I made little fleece pants and a soaker for the new baby. They are so freakin small I don't think they'll fit. lol. I think my baby needs a size small instead of newborn. I also made a little newborn fitted diaper. It's so freakin cute! I wish I could post pictures, but alas I don't have a camera. (

Don't think thats going to happen, MP. Her club is having a "purge" day this weekend. It has a an official name even, "distaff day", like going back to work after the holidays. Actually, I just talked to her, she said what she is getting rid off is mostly very fine (ie thin) wool, not suitable for soakers.

The folks in Washington are providing 5,000 porta-potties for the crowd that conservative estimates place at 2 million. That is 400 people per potty; they are only good for 150 uses before they have to be emptied. Yuck.

I'll pass on the porta potty. The last time I used one I was in like middle school. We were at a circus and they had the boys pottys lined up behind the girls. Well I went in there, totally freaked out by the unsanitary nature of the thing. I was standing there, hyperventlating turning around in cirlces, wondering where in the HECK I was supposed to wash my hands when I was done...then I noticed that there was a stupid boy watching through the vent. Thank goodness I had enough good sense to be freaked out and I never took my pants off. lol

I haven't stepped foot in one since.

My legs were burning from the cold just walking the kids to school. I think I need snow pants like they have. Hannah said her eye balls are freezing.

That reminds me, when did your internet guy reschedule for?

OK, as long as I'm the subject of connecting, here is the scoop as I understand it from GS guy. A cable went bad in the router (no high speed). The first phone cord I got was for handsets (who knew?) It worked for a while. The second cord I got that was too short apparently got bent. The phone line works. He assured me I wont need the MSN dial up anymore, but I am waiting a month just in case.
