Good evening, Moovers.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Congrats on accomplishments to
those who had any. Mine are Zero! I woke up this morning to nightmare tasks I have ahead of me this week. No fun I tell you!

OK, I cant edit the above without erasing. What I meant to say I was laying in bed for over an out thinking about horrible work stuff due this week.

DS left to go back to Texas this afternoon, WAAAAHHHHHHH!
It was great to have him home. Except for him tickling my feet almost every time he walked by. But he will be back for 2 weeks at Xmas, so that's not too bad.

Anyway, so DH took DS to the airport this afternoon at 2:30, for a 4:49 flight. Now, this whole trip should have taken about 30 minutes round trip. 2 hours later, DH is not home yet!

Well, he got rear ended on the way home by some tourist. His beloved 1 1/12 year Toyota Camry Hybrid, with not a single scratch on it! He said it's mostly paint, but the way the bumper is, he figures it will be $2000 to fix. Hopefully insurance will pay all, but still a major bummer! Not to mention the inconvenience.
I'm sure it was a pretty cruddy start to vacation for the tourist family too.

BH, you snuck in on me. Yikes on the shopping, so not my thing!

Everyone, tomorrow is Cyber Monday for online shopping!

Marita - So sorry to hear about your hubby's car! And DS going back to Texas Christmas will be here before we know it, though, and you'll enjoy having him home for an extended period of time.

Yay, Mony, for Nutcracker Nouveau going great and for getting your tree up! Hope to see some pics of Mal in her dance outfit.

I mostly have just been doing dishes and laundry this weekend.

I think we're going to order a new tv stand tomorrow while it's still on sale, but won't have it delivered for 2 1/2 weeks (once I'm back from vacation). Hubby is hoping tv prices continue to come down before Christmas. If not, I think we found one we like at Sam's Club. That will be our Christmas gift this year, so no shopping except for stocking stuffers It will be nice not having a greenish blotch in the corner of the tv

BH - Did you find any bargains while you were out shopping again?

Pumba - What a beautiful sight to see a hot air balloon this time of year! Do you have any of that white stuff on the ground? We got a couple inches today.

OK, I have something (or more than one) thing wrong with me. I am a sucker for serial killer stories.

Just watched 2 hours on Charles Manson (watched the movie in the hospital after I gave birth to DS), and then an hour on Jeffrey Dahmer, the show wasnt even over.
BUT, I did change the channel at 9 for Desperate Housewives. I am so out of the loop with that show, my attention span sucks!

Mony, I am sure Mal was just too cute! Too bad for no pics.

Twinkie, I am sure you are a packing fool about now!

Moo, hope you get the new TV and stand. My TV in the living room is HUGE, and like 3' deep and 5' long, from 2004, before flatscreens. DD's old BF got it for a steal from Sears, way too early to retire it yet.
DH has a flatscreen in his room , the pic is AMAZING. I think I said this before.

LilG, Im sure your sweetie pie will find room for the tree!

So tomorrow is Cyber Monday, and I have no idea what to shop for. NOT one!
DS, I said, what do you want for xmas?
Him: Nothing
Alrighty then.

The only thing I want is the earrings that are out of stock!

Im sure DH hubby will get lots of stuff nobody wants or needs, but he will make it fun. Gifts from various elves.
Who needs money for retirement anyway?

OK, STRIKE EVERYTHING I JUST WROTE ABOVE ABOUT XMAS!

I just asked DD what she wants for xmas, since tomorrow is cyber Monday.
She said "Nothing, we aren't really doing xmas this year"
I say "we're not? Why?"
Cause dad is pretty sure he will get laid off in March because of his age. (63). So nobody told me this before????????? Wouldnt you think he would tell his wife of 38 years?
He has always gotten great performance reviews.

Although I am pretty sure he can't get let go because of age, but maybe an offer of an retirement package? Well, the last one in 2001 was for like 6 months pay, not much help when you cant get another job.

My only bright spot in this family is my son! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! (well, hugs to DS, GRRR to the rest)

Plus there goes the cleaning lady for SURE! Good Bye Clara, I never knew you!

How about a cleaning hubby???

ACK, Marita!!! Doesn't seem right that you didn't know about that! Does Disney ever do retirement incentive packages? That is done a lot in the car industry. They probably figure people who are older than 62 can draw Social Security.

Our tv is >15 years old, so that's why we're ready to replace it. Besides the green spot.

Our internet/phone went out a while ago this evening. Goog thing we have our cell phones.

Yes, Moo, they offered retirement packages before. But still, early retirements costs money, I think. And I am really ticked at DH for not mentioning it to me, but to my DD! I feel like an outsider, really! Maybe I should start shopping on PlentyofFish? OK, Kidding!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with the TV, 15 years is a LONG run! I mean for getting a new one.

yes today Kmart is doubleing coupons up to 2.00 and I was paying pennies on the the doller lol well not quite I shopped twice and first time I bought 56 dollers worth for 17 dollers and second time about the same getting diferent stuff

Morning all,

Every rainy here today. Didn't get the snow they were calling for. Good thing I didn't want a snow day.

BH- you sound like quite a bargain shopper.

Twinkie-- The girls are so cute and excited.

Marita-- I would be mad too if hubby didn't tell me he might get laid off but told the kids. Hopefully that doesn't happen. Glad he wasn't hurt though in the accident.

Are the parks slowing down? I figure they must they are doing a lot of discounting which they usually never do.

Moo-- thanks for letting me know there is nothing at the end of Bolt. We like to stay to the end too just to see.

Mony-- to bad about the pictures. Her last costume was so cute, was waiting for this one.

UMA-- I didn't make it to church yesterday either. Went to hubby's work Christmas party the night before only got to bed at 2:00 am.

I must be getting old because some of the music I had no idea what the songs were. Only one I did know was So What by Pink. And the rest well all sounded the same. They did play some old stuff we know but there was over 700 people there and a very small dance floor, danced more at the end when a lot of people left.

Nab, sounds like you had fun at the party, good for you! All our holiday parties are canceled this year. Not that I ever go myself anyway.

And yes, business is slowing down, no wonder in this economy. I can say that cause our CEO officially said so in the last earnings release, so deals are coming.

My region, 7 of us, missing one, went out to lunch today at the Turf Club at Saratoga. They are offering a 40% discount for lunch from now til Dec 19 at certain restaurants that are favorites for business meals for CM's . Since business meals are virtually discontinued right now, I guess they are trying to put some extra cash in the servers' pockets, because they are losing out on the tips.
1 restaurant down, 6 to go... I doubt we will make all of them (both time and money). Even with the 40% off, it was still $12.58 for a strip steak sandwich for me. You have to pay 18% gratuity on the retail price.

At lunch, knitfreak was recounting some of her weekend with her new fiancee. Somehow the comment came up about how he has a large map on the wall with thumbtacks for places, but that he removed the ones for the places he might want to move to. She said, now he just has Orlando, and the places where he has relatives (rattles off like 5 places). I said "And he needs thumbtacks to remember that?" The entire table was hysterical over that.
And the conversion of her future hubby to be has begun. Apparently he cooks, plates up dinner, puts away leftovers is any, rinses dishes, puts them in the dishwasher, general cleanup, and THEN he sits down to eat dinner.

So she got him to eat first. And some other things, like changing his milk to 2% from whole. So we had lots of jokes about that whole process.

OK, break over, back to work!

I thought I posted this morning and I see that if I did it isnt there.....well .....I got up and put the Monday trash outside and then sat and have breakfast.....after that I made sauce that cooked all day....with burger and hot and sweet sausage....yup it was good.

trying to find a particular webkinz......it is the american cocker spaniel and it is retired....it is by far the cutest dog of them all.....I can get it on line but want to find it around here first....
