And now for my real post! :lmao:

Drats! I missed Twink! Hope her weather behaves for driving to the airport.
::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy:

Welcome back, Peej! How were the beach and the photo session?

bbn - It's not a full moon is it?

Nabbie - I guess we must have gotten your snow. There's about five inches on the ground right now. Glad you had a nice time at your party!

Marita - LOLing about your knitfreak story  Haven't you told her that trying to change the man in your life always backfires in some way? (At least that has been my experience.) :rolleyes1

Pumba - Your sauce sounds yummy (except that if it is venison burger, I think I'd prefer just the sausage)

Mony - Let us know if you learn anything new :lmao:

Wendy - My new scale came today. Eek!

Lynette - It's safe to mention the scale, now that turkey day is over, right? ;)

My disboard friend loves going to the Web and they keep track of their passwords by writing them on Post-it notes.

I noticed their Disney password was "GoofyMickeyMinniePluto" and so I asked why it was so long.

"Because," my friend explained, "they said it had to have at least four characters."

LOL!

Moo, far be it from me to tell her she cant change her man! At age 38. She might get some compromises.

They are still in the honeymoon phase.

Time for dinner!

Oh, there's no doubt that she can change him, but she might see some repercussions down the road . . .

Maybe my hubby's just "special" in that regard!

Or maybe it's just the differences between an oldest child marrying a youngest child. Or how people change as they get older. Hard to tell.

Lynette - It's safe to mention the scale, now that turkey day is over, right? ;)

:scared: Can't we wait until the lemon squares and the fudge are gone????

Of course, for the next month, my house will be filled with all the trappings of Christmas and parties. Candy canes for the trees, chocolates for the Advent calendars, gingerbread houses and the little people who inhabit them.....ACK!

Tree #1 is up and almost completely decorated. DH put the wooden sleigh and reindeer in the front yard, and we've strewn Santas and angels around in virtually every room. Still lots to do, but I ran out of steam. So now I'm in my chair with my laptop. Hee.

Bragging Mom Alert!!!!!: (feel free to skim, grimace and/or roll your eyes!)

I had a meeting with Natasha's teacher this morning to discuss her report card, which came home last Wednesday. A glowing report!!!! :woohoo: The teacher actually said that if she could clone Natasha and have a room full of her, life would be a delight! I nearly cried! PLUS: An evaluation of her "Language Arts" skills assessed her at a 5th grade level!!!!! (she's in 2nd grade)! I FLOATED out of the school this morning!

This concludes my proud ramblings. We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread. Thank you!

LYnt, braggin mom alerts are always welcome on this here thread!

YAY to your Natasha!

Brag away, Lynette! It's wonderfu to hear those kinds of reports from the teacher :) w00t!

I'm kind of glad we don't have any Thanksgiving leftovers around our house this year. It felt a little weird this year not to have any though. I only brought home some of that Southwestern corn salad and green bean casserole (which was too soupy, so I've decided not to eat it). But I love lemon bars  Almost as much as chocolate!

So the nice diser is currently on the phone with dining to switch me over to her ressie at 1900 park fare!!!!!!!!

We had a questionaire to fill out in psych class about how and what and who influenced what we know about sex and then she asks us to discuss our answers with the person next to us.

I have this 19 year old "boy" sitting next to me and we talk on occasion and I look at him and he's like: "HELLO! You got me! Buwhaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....

Very interesting...............................

Thanks for the indulgence, Moo and Marita. :goodvibes

About leftovers: My DH always complains as I cook that I'm making too much. Funny, I never hear him complaining about all the options he has to choose from after the party/holiday. :confused3

Mony, my hat is off to you! I don't know how you manage your own kids, a daycare AND school. :worship: Just the thought of it.......:faint:

And pack for a trip.....:faint:

I have been trying to get my act together all day.

Lynette--:woohoo: on Natasha report card. We get our tomorrow. Hannah's will be fine it is the boy's that I am scared of.

We are going to see Anastasia!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone remember what days PJ said her sister worked there?

I can't wait to tell the kids tomorrow.

Hey Lynt don't knock yourself, you could do it too if it meant that much to you. I want my degree and I want to be a teacher so bad.

I have my consultation for the pain management thingy on Wednesday. I'm hoping to get an injection before we leave. My neck hurts to do just about anything at this point.

Thanks, NAB! I have my meeting with Boris' teacher on Wednesday (for this, the kids get a 1/2 day). Judging by his report card, I'll get an equally glowing report. I can't wait to hear what she has to say. The kids are both so proud of themselves!

ETA: Thanks, Mony! I'll tell Natasha...privately. Heh.

ETA, part 2: Ack on the pain! I'll say a prayer that you can get the injections done before you leave!

Mony - Think of the "boy" as training for when your sons are older! Yay for getting Park Faire!!! Hope you can get your pain under control before the trip

I've decided not to get knee injections this time because I think the cortisone lowers my resistance and is part of the reason I've caught colds/bronchitis my last couple trips to Disney. Plus, I'm taking Airborne daily to try to keep myself healthy.

Peej - You didn't come bACK?!!

I officially suck at going to bed early! I went to bed a little after 10. Real bed, not just the couch. An hour later I am back up! Geez!!!!!!! And I have a 10 an meeting tomorrow (but I engaged asst.#2 as backup), They sent out the meeting invite at 5pm tonight, thanks!
That whole thing they want us to track on menu changes looks like major work! AND I mean MAJor!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, better try bed again, might be nyquil time!

Hi...

How long as it been? I can't believe how quickly time gets away from you. Sorry! We've been busy and obviously I've been very forgetful because I kept forgetting to check the DIS. lol

Nothing new. We had a nice Thanksgiving. Just trying to survive, Chad's checks have been less than desireable. It really sucks when you have no money to get your kids Christmas presents. Thankfully my Grandpa sends them each $40. I hope we can find good deals. lol!

Who is super happy that gas has gone down so much?? Woot!

The day before Thanksgiving my littlest sister found out she was pregnant. After a year of trying, we were getting worried. She has endometriosis , so getting pregnant could have been a real difficultly.

That's all. We are going to the park today.

What's new with everyone?

howdy partners.........

Sun is out wicked bright and makes this computer hard to see because the snow on the ground is reflecting it all.....but I will take the sunshine any day of the week....makes it so happy..

Just in case the Mouses Houses decides we can make food reservations ...I have my list next to me and the date hubby would like it too.....we are not into sit down restaurants to much so we only picked three or four......have to see the list.....he put it in his room again I think..hey when we went in September with only one sit down restaurant.....we still ate and had a good time regardless....we did not starve..hard to get anyplace at all that trip because of free dining...

sounds like Natashia did an outstanding job on her report card......as long as a child really tries his or her hardest......that is great .

One of my rugrats that I had under my care at the age of 5 months (he was born at one pound eleven ounces).....well who would of thought this child, would go to kindergarten for three weeks and then transferred to first grade...he was a learner and a sponge.....he would ask a question and he got the answer and then retained it......he was reading here at the age of three and a half and loved to read chapter books at the age of 5 and a half......he would know what he read too....He is a great kid to know......
We go to Disney sometimes with him and his family and extended family....he loves us as much as we love him....

Hope you all have a great day

OH BY THE WAY......My sauce was with beef burger in it......

Mommy P-- nice to see you this morning. Sorry about Chad's paychecks. But there seems to be a lot of sales going on before Christmas this year. Babies everywhere in your family. My niece is do in April so we finally have a little one to hold but I don't get to see them much since they are 3 hours away.

Pumba-- very smart cookie indeed. Good gene pool there I guess.

Kids get there report cards today. Hannah is excited , Nicholas not so much. This is the first time that I actually need an interview with the teacher. Most times I just go to meet the teacher.

Marita-- did you make it to you meeting? I heard is going to be on the cool side there this weekend.

Well I have most of my packing sorted out. I seem to have lost my favourite summer top somewhere :confused3 I have to work on mine and Hannah's clothes today.

Good morning,

Nab, no, I did not make it to the meeting this morning. I woke up at 10:15 :scared1: Good thing I sent Asst. #2. I kept waking up all night. So I am working from home today. I figured it would be noon by the time I drove, so I said the heck with that!

MommyP, good to see you again. You FORGOT to check the Dis? How does that happen? :confused3

Hi all we had some round hard snow yesterday that melted as soon as it hit the ground was still pretty though...alittle early here for snow accumilation

Pumba - Are you still looking for that Webkinz? I just found one in my closet stash, that still has the tags on it. If you can't find one close to you, send me a PM. My DD doesn't play with Webkinz much anymore. I bought several to use as good behavior rewards. They worked for a while, but then lost their appeal. Let me know if you want mine. ;)
