Where is Celery???? She had another date today. I hate computer dating it makes me worry about her. I know she is grown. But a mother is always her mother?

Hugs to everyone who is having Work worries. I may not post often but everyone of you are in my prayers.

If you had looked up at the trailer, you would have seen that I was home!
Or asked Jamie - he even met the guy!

The date went really well. He and I had a blast.
we met at 10 am to walk with Riley in a park -
and we just kept hanging out!
which was fun, but I ended up ditching my friend lisa. :(
She's moving to Mobile in April and I was supossed to have dinner at her house.
I asked if I could bring Chris, but she didn't want me to.
I'm going to hedoublehockey sticks!
But Chris came back home with me and we hung out all night -
(with no non dis friendly activities even! except for shooting tequila.)
Then we went to cracker barrel this morning.

But we were seriously back home by 5 pm! and here all night!

Cel, W00t for a good date and that you are ok!

I checked airline tickets to Germany again, they dropped by about $120 since 2 or so weeks ago! :worship:

Also talked to my son, who was NOT sympathetic to my work hours disaster. Yes, I get it, if I'm not around, they dont know what I am doing. But dont they understand I have no life? SO all I have to do is work. And read trip reports, and chat on message boards.......

But honestly, I am very consciencious about working. Stupid people dont get it!!!!!!!! :sad1: But honestly, I dont know how am I going to make it... I think you all know that.

I consistenly deliver results, its not like I miss deallines.

And yes, Moo, if I have to work 9-5, I will NOT work in the evenenings. I am really ticked off!

My boss was actually sorry to tell me that I think, but this is the directive from the director, and boss is not going to go against that.

I know marita - it sucks!
I was actually telling Chris about it today - we were talking about layoffs and finances, etc -
I'm just worried they'll use it as an excuse to lay you off!
Although with your seniority, it would seem they'd start with people that haven't been there long -

I dont know that seniority is a good thing. DH and I are not in a union, and younger people get paid less (in general), so we might be a target. At this point, I am almost wanting to get laid off, I am so mad!!

I could have worked this afternoon, but did I? NOOOOOOOOOO! Out of defiance!

If the severance package is good enough - I'd say heck yeah!
You know, you've always wanted to be a greeter at wal mart! :scratchin

I'm sure the greeters were first to go at Walmart!

I am NOT a happy camper today!

I am making a concerted effort to NOT send an email to boss or director, I don't think it would be wise to do right now.

There are still "greeters" at the Wal-Mart where I shop occasionally. But I have always thought they're there more for loss control purposes than for greeting people.

So, is anybody watching the Oscars tonight? My hubby just went into town to find some movies for later so it looks like I'll be watching it somewhere other than the living room tonight. I mostly like to see what people are wearing.

i might watch the red carpet part, Seeing as as never watch movies, I have no interest. I might turn it on just to be able to talk about it.
But i am still way ticked off!
I think I willl take a nap first

Marita - Hope your work stuff settles down and you don't get any bad news this next week :grouphug:

I can understand how you're feeling because I usually react badly to that sort of thing too. But I find that I often have gotten more upset than I should have and once the initial shock wears off, things pretty much tend to go back to the way they were before.

Does Disney have a formal telecommuting policy?

I love that kind of stuff. I should live closer to the ocean.

My mom and I used to sit at the picnic table after my Uncle went smelting and cleaned smelt. Loved it then too.

Busy weekend . It is hubby's birthday today so we celebrated all weekend with going to see his family yesterday and then today doing family things.

I baked him a pizza size chocolate chip cookie with chocolate icing. He isn't a cake person. His mom made him pie yesterday.

Marita-- what were your hours before? Sorry you have to do the formal hours in the office.

Moo-- :woohoo: on finishing up your trip plans.

Celery-- sounds like a nice date.

Off to watch Amazing Race.....

All ready to watch the Oscars!!

Hey moovers, what's shakin'?
:dance3:

Hola, bbn! I was wondering why you were so scarce this weekend! Baseball practice on a Sunday?!

Nabbie - Happy Birthday to Mr. NAB!!! I saw it was your hubby's birthday over on FR party:

Mony/Pumba - I remember my family cleaning big messes of smelt when I was young, then having fish fries. But I'd rather be eating shrimp these days :)

Well, I got to watch the red carpet entrances on the big TV. If I can't get streaming video, I guess I'll go hole up in my room for the rest of the night.

I did make some yummy baked ziti for dinner after seeing the recipe on the Bendy and her Friendies thread. I added ground beef because Mr. Moo isn't big on "vegetarian" dishes. And I have plenty of leftovers for lunches this week :thumbsup2

hmmmm. did my last post bore y'all to death or what? It bored me, so much I thought I would try again.

let me try something completely different.:scratchin

after baseball, Ethan wanted to go out to grab a bite to eat since it was just the two of us. We decided on Cracker Barrel. So I ask him did he have a nice baseball practice. his reply "not really" and I said, "why? what happened?" Ethan: "not really"

I see. He is one of THOSE kind of moods. We can't have that now, can we?

Me: "Do you want an extra biscuit?"

E: "not really"

Me: "Do you want candy for breakfast?"

E: pause. "not really"

Me: "Do you think you are smart?"

E: longer pause. "not really"

Me: "Would you like to grow up to be the star running back for the Indianapolis Colts?"

E:  "not really"

Me: "Would it bother you if I changed your name to Amanda?"

E: "not really"

Me: "Alrighty, Amanda, let me ask you this. Do you mind if I run around the restaurant naked?"

E: laughing "not really"

Me: Well, it might bother the patrons, so I won't. So, Amanda do you find school to be really boring?"

E: *big sigh* "not really"

Me: "Amanda, do you love your mommy very much?"

E: pause. "not...uhh....." pause. "uhhhhh....." laughing. choking. no, really choking. as in eyes are watering. not breathing.

Me: "Are you ok????"

E: clears airway. FINALLY. gasps for air. takes a big gulp of my tea. then says. "MOM! I am JUST a little boy, you really should not be trying to trick me like that!!!!"

So then we go to pay at the cash register and the chick says:

"Did you enjoy your meal?"

I look at him. He looks at me. In unison we say:

"NOT REALLY!"

We crack up. We couldnt help it.

The cashier looks at us like  :confused3

I apologize. Tell her we are joking. It was great. She is not amused.

Hola, bbn! I was wondering why you were so scarce this weekend! Baseball practice on a Sunday?!

Right now they are having baseball practice twice a week at the indoor high school practice area. It's not prezackly officially baseball practice yet. They are just getting the all stars from last year together and working on some stuff, as they think they might be a really good team this year and want to get a jump start on the season.

They can't use the facility when the high schoolers need it. So Sunday is one night that is open.

Checking in, Moovers! I had an uber-productive weekend. Cleaned both kids rooms top-to-bottom, moved furniture around in their rooms, scrubbed everything, cleaned out bureaus and closets and toyboxes and bookshelves. Both rooms are sparkly clean and beautifully organized now.....Let's see how long it lasts. I also managed to do 7 loads of laundry, grocery shop and clean the kitchen. Now I am dog tired.

Remember how my DH moved the computer from his man-cave to the living room "for me"? Yeah, well he's been on it all day and I am now relegated to the family desktop at the desk in the upstairs hall. Great. :sad2: Once he realized that the man-cave computer runs much faster with Mozilla than Explorer, he unofficially reclaimed it. Grrrrr!

It's been raining here for most of the day. It was supposed to have been snow, so I am thankful that the forecasters were wrong!

Moo, I am headed over to FB to play my turn in our game. So nice to have the games back, no matter what they're calling 'em now!

Hey y'all.

babycow - That Ethan story made me laugh out loud! :lmao:

I love LOLdogs.
It makes me laugh out loud too.

I don't wanna leave my puppy tomorrow, but I know mamacel will spoil him good.

I really like two of the guys I'm dating. I think I'm going to stop looking and see if things work out with one or both of them.
ha.
