Moovers! HI! I freaking Miss you and TV (and the niceties of life like showers and balanced meals)

I'm DONE with PSY101 (psychology) and totally aced my final "exam" which was a 5 minute Power Point presentation on the book "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. YAY! My comments included: "Owned the stage, made eye contact with entire auditorium, confident, knew material and was well prepared, and (get this) Professional attire commanded audience's attention" :thumbsup2 *snort*

All that's coming up is a Pot Luck. And a wellness Fair.

In my APPS101 class (basically Microsoft Office), I'm somewhat lost but getting an A :confused3 It's slowly penetrating my dusty cranium. Thank God! (done with that class too next week)

My MOM has come to live with us. So far so good. She loves my cooking and I enjoy the compliments.

I need to get her some glasses. She has trouble reading. And I need to slow my stride when shopping with her (which is not a problem at all).

Ok, that's it, y'all are caught up. Did I mention I miss you guys? Honestly. Please forgive my MIA-ness.

Lynt, Yay on the new laptop!! :worship:

Wendy Lou, glad things are going ok with you and your classes and your mom! We miss you too! :grouphug:

Thanks, Marita! Now I just have to deal with this Man-cave desktop until my new treasure arrives! :goodvibes

Wendell! Good to see you! Now go check your FB PMs! :cool2:

Great laptop deal, Lynette! :cool1:

Great job on your classes, Wendy :thumbsup2 TG things are going OK with your mom. We know how very busy you've been lately, so its nice to have you pop in :)

Hey Lil G, sorry about hubby's job. They let a girl go in my department this week too. It just sucks.
:sad2:

Hey mooovers!
:dance3:

In better news, I am soooo excited for another co-worker. She's 23 and has been with us for a year. She's just so bright and uber responsible for her age. She even bought her own home, which is not something that I was ready to do as a single girl at that age. So, she finally earned vacation days and has worked so hard, barely ever missing a day. I adore her. Anyway, she had just scheduled her first vacation days to go to a wedding in Florida with her boyfriend this May. WELL... he called her the other day to tell her that he won a free trip through his employer to CANCUN, in May! So she gets to go to Florida AND Cancun. I am soo excited for her, she definitely has earned this!
:yay: :woohoo:

Ok gotta go take the kids to their bowling league now. Later taters!

I am soo excited for her, she really deserves this!

wakey wakey EGGS and Bakey!! :cool1:

WOOHOOTY Wendy on your A's

(my there are a lot of SMART good-lookin women here!! :worship: )

Just trying to find some computer time! DS #2 got a job at the YMCA!! He's applying to transfer schools in the fall! yeah!

My mil has to have surgery on her thumb (ganglian cyst - but its complicated because the thumb was weak due to a staph infection many years ago) I'm trying to make dh go visit with her! Monday is the surgery - she just seems so old - and she's the same age as my mom...

goog luck and blessings Wendy with your mom!! Hope you can get her involved in the area Senior center!

woohooty everyone

Lil Blue - Sending good thoughts your way :grouphug: Hope your hubby is able to find a different job and that you can still check in occasionally. It's been nice having you here lately!

bdg - Are you in WDW AGAIN??! Or just showing and poofing past trip pics? Of all the days for me to be too busy to read the thread today :snooty:

Pumba - Poor Megara! And poor you/Mr. Pumba. I'm kinda glad our dogs always sleep in their kennels :)

Twink - This description fits my little sis pretty well, but there is a 6 year gap between her and my brother and I'm 12 years older than her.

Marita!!! - I sure hope they take the work you do at home into account  If you have to start being in the office 8 hours, hopefully you can cut back on the evening work. You should get your eye issue taken care of soon. Maybe that will help with the driving in the dark.

MommyP - I'd bet there have been some births at Disney too.

The figures you quoted for joining a union sound awfully high to me. I essentially have no choice about being in a union. I should go calculate my percentage, but I think it is a much lower monthly cost. Where I work, they take almost the same deductions from your paycheck whether you pay union dues or not. I figure I might as well pay a bit more and be able to vote. Being a government worker, though - we are not allowed to go on strike. The only benefit is having some representation in the event of a grievance. And a small amount of clout when it comes to negotiating our contracts for pay, benefits, etc.

bbn - I had my free food from last night due to being given the wrong order for lunch today. It wasn't too bad (chicken rice bowl), but I don't think I would have ordered it myself. Now I'm going to go have the other wrong meal . . . steak with garlic mashed taters and veggies :upsidedow

WOW wow - sure is a LOT going on in Moo'vers Land!!

{{hugs}} prayers, and dusting of :wizard: -

dh just made homemade muffins (chocolate) and he wants me to join him - I think he is going to leave in an hour... BBL

hugs and prayers all around!

Morning.

Wow a Wendy sighting. Sweet. Way to go on your classes, I didn't expect anything less than greatness from you.

Had an excellent dinner with some extraordinary friends last night.

We didn't cause a scene, tee hee, but had a great time.

It was too upity of a place to pull a BBN.

I would love me some Alfredo and salad from Olive Garden though. I love that place. We took the kids there, ONCE, because Matthew's allergies would not allow him to have ANYTHING on the menu. Oh he did get to have a plate of carrot and celery sticks. He was not pleased.

The running joke in the house is where should we go eat? Olive Garden?

Mal woke up with a fever. No dance class for her today:sad1: She was not happy with her mommy.

But she has an appetite of a lumberjack today. 2 scrambled eggs with cheese, 2 pancakes, 2 pieces of bacon, and her milk. And a box of nerds.

Cause she HAS to always have dessert.

Have a magical day!

Quiet day on here. It's snow/raining here. Gross.

L...YAY on the brand new laptop!!!! :cool1: :dance3: :yay: We'll have to celebrate with chatting once it arrives. It's been too long!

Wendy...sounds like you're just doing it all! Congrats on the goog grades. Check in when you can!

Sandy...pass the muffins please. Those sound yum!

I need to go get ready. I'm headed out to Buca di Beppo with work people. We'll see what kind of trouble we can stir up. Have a great evening, y'all
:grouphug:

what the heck?

Is there a big party and I wasnt invited? Not a single post since 5:30 and it's almost 11?
What's going on?

Hello, all!

Marita - I slept way in today. Guess I was catching up on my rest! Then I went out to dinner with some girlfriends and grocery shopping afterward.

It's been snowing quite hard here today :( I had to be super careful while driving because it was very slippery. I guess the salt trucks/plows aren't out much over the weekend.

Peej - Buca di Beppo? That sounds more exciting than Max & Erma's where I went out for dinner ;)

I think Bucca di Beppo is where we went for DD's and her then BF's graduation. That one was tall blond and handsome and going for a law degree, if you all remember. But they broke up over the new distance and strains of law school.

Well, DD has a new BF now, for about 3 weeks I think. Her description of him: short, dark hair, glasses, 21 (younger man, shes 24), student for PR/marketing and playing guitar and piano and she had a crush on him for a while.
Oh,, to be young again! I was married at 18! :bride:

Where is Celery???? She had another date today. I hate computer dating it makes me worry about her. I know she is grown. But a mother is always her mother?

Hugs to everyone who is having Work worries. I may not post often but everyone of you are in my prayers.

Thanks, Celmama!

I'm sure Cel is fine, but I can identify with your worries!

w00t! I booked the rest of my vacation this morning without having to dial in a brazillion times!!! :cool1: It only took calling twice. Once before Members Services opened, then my next call went through. I know Peej will appreciate the significance of this

And the snow has stopped and we have a beautiful sunshiny day (so far) :thumbsup2

Cel - How was the date??!

what the heck?

Sorry Marita, it was a catch up on homework day and then the girls and I were in my bed early watching the Grease Marathon.

Alls good.

I'm just loving that Nebo has a TR going on.

Happy Days. Have a wonderful Sunday everybody. You are all in my prayers. Peace and love to you all.:)

It was really nice to be able to talk to these people without 8 bazillion kids around and have actual conversations with them. We usually only get a chance to talk at recess and even then it's "So how's your day going....STOP PLAYING IN THE MUD.....yeah, I'm ready for the weekend too....STOP BEATING EACH OTHER UP.....I SAID TOUCH FOOTBALL ONLY!!!!!!!!!" Doesn't make for very meaningful conversation.

I actually did some apartment touring last night, too. One of the other teachers who went (same age as me, first year teacher, etc.) is looking for a roommate. She's been bugging me to live with her next year for months now. I went to see her apartment complex where we could get a 2 bedroom next year. It would cut my rent almost IN HALF!!! I'm not crazy about the area though and it's a little farther from school. I have some thinking to do. I really do need to make a decision sometime soon. :scratchin

Ah yes, to be young and unmarried again. Sigh. One can only imagine? Hee hee.

You're so sweet. Feel free to post as often/as little as you like. I'm sure Cel is fine. Maybe she's sleeping in.

I do enjoy hearing that! Why did I get an eye roll though? Remind me...what needed booking today?

Peej - I know you would feel for me on trying to get through to Member Services on a heavy call day. It took me 3 1/2 hours two weeks ago, so I was thrilled to get right through this morning. Today was the first day for non-owners to be able to book BLT and SSR treehouses. Not that there were probably that many left too book during prime vacation times. But for my SSR developer points, the 7 month window fell on the same day the above-mentioned window opened, so I was afraid I'd be on the phone all morning again.

I will be going for 4 nights at BLT with my family followed by 4 nights at SSR with my sister, hopefully. She had decided not to go due to money being tight, but now she thinks she may be able to swing it :goodvibes

Marita and Mony - Thanks for the heads up on the Nebo TR! They are always fun to read.
