Heya Allie! Y'know, it's never too cold for ice cream!

Well, I just caved. Had a bowl of Mayfield Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream with a drizzle of Hershey's syrup. YUM!!!! DD wanted a bowl, and so I couldn't let her eat by herself.

I can confirm Wendee and Sandy are Amazon-ish.

Then I would probably be in that same category because Sandy and I are close to the same height.

I'm 5'2 and 3/4". I believe Twinkie is the same. I like to wear my hair big to make up for my height.

Everyone I've ever known or know now is taller than me. I still get made fun of. If only I was taller I could be skinny like my tall sisters.

I am 5'7". I used to be 5'71/2" but apparently I have shrunk since high school.

BBN & Lynette - Thanks for the pics and mini TR. Wow, that you caught Mr. King's eye BBN. Yummy! I could go for some mint chocolate chip ice cream right now. Oh, but it is too cold outside for ice cream.

the kids assembly bring tears to my eyes it was so touching. With the singing and pictures I had goose bumps.

I went to Calebs Veterans Day program this morning. It was very touching.

5. I even packed heels, but after walking around the city all day, I opted for a pair of flats I threw in at the last minute. Plus, I knew that ONE of the four of us was on the low end of tall and I didnt want to seem like a freakishly tall mutant.

Alright. Just so everyone's clear - here are the rules:
5'5" to 5'1" = Normal.
Over 5'5" = freakishly tall
under 5'1" = freakishly short.

Therefore - me, nabbers, lex, amanda, big L and I *think* Marita and twinks are all normal.
Windy, Sandy, Allie, mamacel and Babycow = freakishly tall
Not sure exactly where Cheryl fits. I'd imagine Peej is freakishly tall.

CEL We ought to be able to meet sometime because from my calculations, we don't live that far away from each other.

I've got a hankering to go to the space museum. Maybe we could meet then. Not sure I'll have time before Christmas though since I want to take the kids.

Happy Veterans' Day. I have the day off from work in honor of our veterans. I've been thinking a lot about my nephew who's on his third tour in Iraq today.

Well, apparently I fall into the freakishly tall category (5'7") according to Cel's scale!!! Maybe I look shorter because I'm so wide? I'm hoping to remedy that soonish.

Any version of chocolate is always a good choice! We have a store here that sells "chocolate trash". It's chocolate ice cream with whoppers, chocolate covered peanuts, chocolate chunks, and caramel all swirled in. YUMMY!!!

Thanks everyone for the cards, letters, multiple PMs and flowers you sent. JUST KIDDING. Heh. Srsly- as Sandy would say- thanks for noticing my radio silence. Everything is ok here on prairie (Or I have fallen and can't get up but I am too proud to admit it) No everything is fine. Just Uberbusy- I won't go into the details but real life is extra real.

And Disney is taunting me. I got a pin code for late spring. Kids free- stay, play and dine.


Anyway- I LOVED the Snark Trip Report. Sounds like it was sooooooooooo fun. Lynt and BBN look fabulous. Nice looking spouses you girls wrangled. And to think Mr. King is now the babynurse's BFF. Peej has the Pope. BBN has the King of Creepy. I am in the company of greatness here.

Also enjoyed MP's trip notes. Glad you guys had fun.


Re the height scale. I'll go with what Cel said but I know it isn't true. Anything under 5 ft 4 is not considered normal by the clothing industry. And I have shrunk since high school too.... a whole half inch. So now I am 5 ft 3 inches. At least I am tall enough to ride Splash Mtn.
