Nab - No, Chad and I have had this planned for a while now. No excitement from the boys, we aren't taking them. I'm even leaving Isaac. I have like 20 6-8oz bottles stored up in the freezer and I'm just going to pump and dump while we are away. Easier to carry my pump and pump a couple times while we're at Epcot than to carry a 20lb baby. I'm a little sad about leaving him though. I know I am going to worry and miss him like crazy.

Twinkie - Last night I read that people use breastmilk to get rid of pink eye. You need to store some up in the freezer for future use. ;o)

I'm baaaACK!!!! Kind of like BarACK. Only not quite. Great trip...no pictures yet. We mostly spent our time in the spa and pool at Saratoga Springs. I know that sounds boring to most people, but it's more about visiting my sister and less about seeing the parks when I go. I also had my first visit to Blizzard Beach. I'm going to want to go every time now. I LOVED that place!! It was free for me and up to 3 guests, so that made it even better! (cast holiday, Marita?) I already miss Hollywood terribly and am questioning my decision not to move to Orlando. :scratchin Maybe next year will find me there. I also got to visit and spend time with all my Chef Mickey's friends, so that was nice too.

Today was a little crazy at school as my assistant wasn't there again. She might be being "let go." :rolleyes1 It's a long story, and I can't get into it. I know I should be able to handle all the little buggers on my own, but when all 29 of them get going, things get a little overwhelming and it's nice to have an extra adult in the room.

I only read back-ish. I hope the bbn is having a great little getaway and I can't wait to see pics of the famed meeting tomorrow. Woot. MommyP, hope you have fun in the World too! The place seemed dead. We did make it to both Magic Kingdom and Epcot and all rides were walk ons. Should be a great time to go.

I'm headed out to find a new pencil sharpener and stock up on notebook paper. Both for the classroom, of course. How thrilling is my life?

WB, Peej! Glad you had a great time!

I think my water park days are over, free or not!

RE: excitement for pencil sharpener and notebook paper, that is more thrilling than my life!

I worked at Saratoga back when it was the Disney Institute. Going there now is really a weird feeling, like a dream. It's so familiar, yet so different. I was the Finance analyst for the Spa as part of my duties, got a couple nice pedicures out of it :)

MommyP, have a WONDERFUL trip!!

Peej, each year with my own kids, teachers ask/welcome parents to volunteer their time in the class room. I've yet to walk into one of their classes and not see a parent helping out. Are you allowed to do that?

I think it's very nice that you have such a close and special relationship with your sister. You are really lucky in that respect.

Nab.......

YOu go to the liquor store or the store and get a container of that clear booze....Vodka ..and you get four or so long vanilla beans.....put a slice in the beans and put in the bottle of vodka....probably a pint or a quart...DONT DO WHAT hubby did and get a half gallon....GEESH...well anyways.......put the bottle in your cupboard for six weeks and you will have the best smelling vanilla for a fraction of the cost........it is delicious.....and yes vanilla is classified by PROOF....just like booze......

today didnt do much..kept in touch with my dd who was in the hospital the other night into the daytime..she had a kidney stone attack........very painful....but tomorrow I am going hunting with hubby.....I would like to get me a varmit.......or a critter .....as long as it has horns ...i cant get any little woman......

Good Morning!

Tomorrow Chad and I leave for WDW!
I am so jealous! Have a great time!

ACK. I have an entire shelf full in my freezer. @@

I'm baaaACK!!!!

Welcome baaaaACK. You should consider the prairie. Early elementary classes are capped at 24 (kindy at 22). The girls are considered to be in FULL classes as their school, with 18 students in each. I have no clue how anyone could handle 29 kids- even perfectly behaved angels and a super teacher. The kids get so much more when the teacher is able to teach instead of referee (loook a sports ref and the bbn isn't even here).

Glad you had a great time. I loved Blizzard Beach too the one time I went.

So can you drink vanilla flavored vodka after that? Not that I would want to ...

I am contemplating taking a boat to Epcot tomorrow for last of the F&W festival. Some cheddar cheese soup. And maybe a dessert somewhere. If knitfreak and Asst #2 can/will go. Or maybe something in Germany. Guess I better check the menus....

Hi all,
I've been on code watch for the last several days, finally paid off this afternoon. Saw Lexy there several times. Our price went up 3 bucks, but that was because there was no availability at any value so we moved up to Port Orleans. We do get a $200 gift card and I will try to change back to Pop or another value.
Twinkie, when I taught I had up to 32 kids on 2 different grades, no teaching assistant, and had to act one year as head teacher, doing the job of principal in a small school. With just 3-4 classroom teachers plus the reading specialist, we also carried a heavy load of bus duty, recess duty and hall monitering. Gee, that doesn't look right.
Marita, eat a cup of beercheese soup for me. Think I'll use that gift card for a few appies at restaurants like that and onion rings at PTC.
Lexi, didja get what you wanted? If I can't get back to POP I guess I'll need to cancel my fridge swap. But the extra room and free fridge makes me think twice.
I think it's beddiebye time. Off tomorrow, may get up at some point. Maybe not.

Got back home at midnight after a work meeting. Wish I could take tomorrow off :guilty:

Welcome barACK, Peej! Sounds like you had a fun trip. Missed ya. Goog luck with your kiddos  Hope you get a new assistant soon.

Have a great visit to the Mouse, MommyP!!!

Happy hunting, Pumba. My hubby just told me he going up north to see one of his friends who he used to go hunting with on Sunday. Deer season doesn't start here until the 15th though, so I guess it's just a visit.

Lynette and bbn - Have a fantastic dinner!!!!!!!!!!

Marita - Hope you get over to Epcot. Cheese soup. Yum! I have a ressie for lunch at LeCellier, but I'll need to try to add a person if you are interested in joining us.

Nab - Tiles floors make such a mess when something drops.

Pumba - Good advice about making your own vanilla extract.

Twinkie - Wow, that's a great new promotion. Too bad it doesn't help out us. I'm calling today to cancel our Dec. trip. Hopefully we can go sometime in beginning of the new year. But it will only be able to be for a Friday and Saturday night. We'll have to just do a couple of little trips instead of a big one since Chad doesn't have time off. Unless we go on a holiday weekend and the only ones we can go to with a Fl. Res. Seasonal Pass are Memorial Day and Labor Day, maybe Thanksgiving.

On the up side the Jan/Feb AP rate for a value is $49.

Marita - You're actually going to go into a Disney park? I'm shocked. ;o)

Chad's getting off at 11, so we should be on the road by 1. Yay!

I am a fair weather hunter.....it was raining at four am and I said......HECK I am rolling over and going back to bed ...which Megara and I did.....soooooo

I get up this morning and look for my roast that I got last night at the store........NO ROAST and NO BURGER........I cant figure out where my meat went......so I called the store and he said for me to come in with my receipt and he will let me get my meat ......If they dont know where it is then I can go to the meat counter and get my stuff..

Morning!

That promo is kinda nice.

That's what we used in 2003 when we stayed at the Coronado.

Hey I talked to Smidgy and Steve last night. Everything is good with them.

Have a great weekend! I have a huge paper to write.

Hey wake up Peeps.

It has been a dull day so far......yucky out but not really raining as bad as it was....as I sit in this house I am dry........

I still have a big box of all my stuff that was on the book case shelves.....I know alot of it is my MIL's old recipes and even a shoe box full of them.....I will go thru them and just keep the hand written ones by her. Still a mess of stuff....Maybe I will watch a movie this afternoon.....Like the firsr Harry Potter one......I did read all those books and even though I didnt want to like them....I DID......hahaha

hope all those going someplace and on vacation or EVEN GOING TO a park ....have fun

Pumba-- Hubby made me go with him to winterize the trailer. I read most of the time while he fiddle around.

Sun is shining here and still on the warm side. They are calling for rain this evening and into Sat. morning.

Had to call the leaf pick up people this morning because they missed our street yesterday. Woke up to smashed pumpkins that I had to clean up. At least they came today while I was away.

Nicholas had a note sent home from school last night that he wasn't handing in his home work or assignments for weeks. I signed off on his agenda because he said he did it at school not thinking he would lie to me and it wasn't getting done. Lets just say I blow a gasket last night and still am steaming today. So now we are playing catch up with a month to go before go away.:sad2: It is going to be a rough weekend I think. Well if his report card is bad next month I will know why.

Can you tell I am having a good day!! :upsidedow

Have fun Amanda!!!!

Nab- I've never heard of leaf pick up people! Today was trash day and I always feel a little sad tossing the moldy jack o lanterns in the garbage. :guilty: UGH on the homework!!!!

we have special bags for leaf picking up. They go to a special unit at the dump and they put them thru a mulcher and then you can go and get some mulch for your garden....

Went to the grocery store and got one roast and two hamburg pkgs.....I think that If I found a pkg of meat in my order and I didnt buy it ......I would of called the store to let them know ....then they would of most likely said.....keep it and they would reinburse the rightful owner...

Hubby saw a four point buck but didnt shoot it .......to early in the season to say I am done in the woods......I am going to take off Monday and Tuesday and go with my hubby and son.....Megara has a date with puppy play school ..also known as the fat farm....I will take her there Sunday night...

Marita - Hope you get over to Epcot. Cheese soup. Yum! I have a ressie for lunch at LeCellier, but I'll need to try to add a person if you are interested in joining us.

I didn't make it to Epcot today. The gang wanted to go to some cheap Mexican place I don't like very much, and I didn't feel like going alone. So I stayed in the office and worked. :sad2: Didn't even have anything for lunch, except for half a soup. DH bought crab legs for dinner. I had a few, but it felt like every piece I picked up was empty. Too much work for me... So I am still hungry!

And yes, Moo, I would like to join you for lunch. Let me know when it is. If you need help with adding a person, the guy in my office might be able to help. He has special powers with the Dining system. Just send me a PM.

Speaking of picking up leaves, DH cut down a tree that was too close to the house on Monday and thought it might cause problems. And he cut the branches and stuff up for 2 straight days, on his vacation!. So they are all sitting on the curb in 9 large trash bags. Nobody has picked them up yet. I bet the trash people look at it and run....

NAB, EEK on the homework saga!

Oh, for Twilight fans, the local paper said today that 100 shows for the movie are already sold out! And it doesn't even start till Nov. 21.

MommyP, hope you have (had) a great trip. The weather is PERFECT!

Pumba,
I'm with you on passing on sitting out in the rain. So are you going tomorrow?

TGIF!

PJ, they just had a guy on Jay Leno who stuffed 6 hissing cockroaches in his mouth. No swallowing, just for giggles.

That might be an interesting activity for your class! I'm sure the parents would be thrilled! New adventures and all that.

Marita - PM sent regarding my Le Cellier ressie! Sorry you didn't make it over there today.

Nabbie - Naughty Nicholas!!! Hope you are able to have him get caught up.

Did you see the recent cruise offer? I think I need to find someone to go with me. Buy one, get the second one SUPER cheap!

Pumba - Sorry your weather didn't cooperate today. We had one more day of Indian summer today, but I think it's going back to fall again tomorrow. Maybe Megara secretly likes the fat farm??! :goodvibes

Hope MommyP and her hubby are having a nice trip. It's always a goog idea to have some alone time occasionally when you're raising your kids. I think most grandparents enjoy that bonding time too. I know my mom did.

I went out to dinner to an Irish restaurant tonight with some friends from work. I had a half of a corned beef sandwich and a great baby spinach salad with some Irish bacon in it. It was kind of like Canadian bacon, but less salty. And a margatini (since I'm not that fond of beer). Yum. I was going to try some Irish whiskey, but that one was pretty strong

Lynette -Please check in with a dinner report when you get a chance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mony - Are you over your cold yet? Good luck on your paper.
