Good Friday evening, Moovers!

It's raining cats and dogs here today. We're slated to get between 4 and 6 inches of rain by Sunday morning. Eek!

Today is Boris' 9th birthday. I hit the ground running this morning and never stopped till about twenty minutes ago. Brought special (nut-free) snacks into Boris' class, took the dog to the groomer, went to the school book fair for both kids, did the grocery shopping, cleaned the house and made some goodies (brownies and cookies) for a sleepover party tomorrow night. We had birthday cake after supper, and he got his cards and gifts from us. I can't believe he's NINE! Who let THAT happen????

Lynt, goog job on the birthday preps! You can't believe Boris is 9? I can't believe Chirs is 29!!!!!! Just the other day I was admiring his perfect tiny fingers and toes! 5 on each!

And I remember hubby and I standing together arm in arm admiring out perfect little .baby sleep in his crib. His very first diaper change at home, he peed a perfect stream straight inot a garbage can. LOL

But on the other hand, he has grown to be a great man. Did I say that? My baby is a man? I guess he is at 29. WAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I'm sure Moo and Pumba can relate.

Heh....I told him that I will no longer provide food with any nutritional value. That way, his growth will be stunted and he'll remain my little boy forEVAH! From now on, it'll be lollipops for breakfast, popsicles for lunch and cotton candy for supper. Brilliant plan, yes? There's an upside for my wallet too...no more spending a zillion dollars every week on fresh produce. Oh, and I won't keep needing to buy new clothes and shoes either, since he won't outgrow them anymore! w00t!

Thanks all for the good wishes regarding Mari's job! We are all pretty happy here today She will be working in Pittsboro, I think. Interesting name for a city, I know Several of her friends still live in the Chapel Hill area.

Nabbie - Yay for Hannah doing such a great job selling those Thin Mints I only like them frozen.

I like them dunked in coffee, except I never feel like eating when I get up,and that's the only time I drink coffee.So although I really like them,I rarely if ever actually eat any.

Same goes for Famous Amos cookies... Boy,those were good!!!!!!!!1

Cel's Mama - Nope, the extension service job would have been in eastern Pennsylvania. Mari thinks they were probably looking for someone with more of an ag background than what she has for that position. I'm a little irritated that they never got back to her (but it didn't really bother her). To me, that is just common courtesy for positions where you have only a few interviewees. And they're taking their sweet time sending her reimbursement for her travel costs.

The job she got is more in the community development area and she thinks it will be good experience.

Carp. I waited longer than I should have to make my air reservations. But I was waiting until I knew the chances were good that Mari would be able to spend part of the vacation with me. All the decent rates are gone. So now I'm debating about flying localish with one stop each way for about $350, but I'd have to catch the flight home late morning vs. flying Airtran 75 minutes away at $400 but the return flight is nonstop and doesn't leave til 8 pm. If I fly Airtran, I'd have one stop on the way to Florida in order to avoid a super early departure.

..interesting, my wife run into a lady...that does alot proncess's
cruises....& she told...her those doing alot cruises...get the
"delusional' idea..., they own the ship. however, i think..this
lady..is in~deeds sick. [ based on her parks behaviors.]

....how intrusive?...before recognizing an illness? she later complained
about the "kids" freezing up ..during turtle 's talk.

now probably..only nabby is aware..but i lean toward "an over-
protective father.

....i'm still working on our pictures. what a mess! ..

...one of the biggest..challenges..was..the luggage problems...
with the airlines. basically, the vacation..was 17 days, &
a 15 day cruise. my lil' better half..made it really clear..no

everything..went without a hitch..on fly day. for the first time,
we left...in the evening. weird?....daylight. the way i see it...if you
make it to the airport..without any accidents...its a great
begining. we passed inspection/s....and the wt's limits.

..making wts' limits..made the bread winner happy... . then
all we had to do..was wait. unfor., our plane..was late getting in,
delaying our take off...... .dwatts...next day was the
early entry..to disneyland. however, the flight..was nearly
empty..so we got to sit anywhere we wanted...i think i took
3-4 naps..in different seats. * note, this was our first.....
.....across the country, so we felt this was a great treat.

then we hit la...in the middle of the night.....has to be one
of the hughest airport ..we've ever been too? thinking, if we
make it to the ship..with all our underwear...i'll be in

but before we left..the front ...door..i had to say good bye to
skippy, our jackrussell..& my alter he-gooo! and i whipped out
nestle's nutty ice cream bar.

* i never fly without my mother's precious rosary and her medals.

faith..is a comfort measure.one should rely on. see?..iam superstitutious,
..must been pretty..bad...to have run into..the ms. buffloa gal? ok,
funny but true....nabby, ....before our 13th..day of the cruise...i was
talking to the cruise..director.......about how "prefect"..the cruise had been

Lil'g -- they ran out of Diet coke that would not do !!! Our last cruise they ran out of chocolate milk second last day I think. That was the kids drink choice at meals.

It has been cloudy, rainy yucky all day here. So we headed out to Walmart for there anniversary specials. What a crazy place that was but I stocked up on alot of stuff. I have a mini store in my basement now. $2.50 for a box of cereal is cheap here since we pay almost $6.00 when not on sale.

Tonight is movie night , Baby Mama for me, the lastest Barbie movie for Hannah and Love Guru for .He wanted to see it at the show but couldn't get in because it is 14+ Hope it isn't to bad. I am guessing it can't be any worse then Mike Myers other movies.

UMA-- it the kids give you a run for your money.... Did you sugar them up and let then stay up late?

Hi all,

DS just called. He got 100 on his "must pass" practice test Friday that he has to take on Monday.YAY! He seems to be doing pretty well. WHEW!

Mom called earlier today. She isn't feeling so good. So I am glad I am going just in case something happens. BUT, she said "be sure to dress well, everyone here is waiting to see what my daughter looks like". Which about set me off.That is precisely why I hate going, I don't like to be critized. Guess I'll have to just suck it up.
I'm trying to get my energy up to go shopping.I HATE shopping!!!!!

girl~friend. later on, she pops..in, bringing...his lunch. needless to say...

copy. we..were delighted. soo everyone...are wanting..to go back.

..why?..talk up our cruise..sure would be nice...if we all went on the

Marita, you are beautiful. period. I so know what you mean, I JUST realized that I will never please my mom, and my brother will never displease her - so I try and just remember she's my mom, I love her... (and its hard, she slapped me because I dared to bring up the Jon and Kate + 8 stuff that Kate isnt perfect - man who knew that would set my mom off??? So I wish it was just my clothes that bugs my mom, its just me - the whole "me" that bugs my mom!!

Of course I went shopping and found Carson Piere Scott's have much better sales than Macy's - 85% off the lowest prices!!

I fell off, and am fighting the "there is a coke in the kitchen" - I refuse to buy Dr Peppers, cause those, I cant resist. After Disney, I'm joining the gym and working out an hour a day, running at night... (well night for me will be 3 pm!) I hope to buy a smaller dress!!

Moo we so lucked out on our plane tickets, dh bought them with our tax refund - before skyrocketing gas!

Marita I know the new promotion doesnt start till '09 but since they are running an ad for it now, I'm bringing DD birth certificate, maybe she can get a Fast Pass for it!! (if not I know she'll get a birthday button and lots of love!! WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY!
