Wendy, :wizard: for your house deal!

Pumba, I bet your GD frets as much as I do over my son  But she seems do be doing great!

Lexi, the Finance manager said yesterday that whoever design that lounge on top of BLT should be shot. It called for 499 people, but ended up with 77 seats!

PJ and Nab, I never made it to the PI bash today. The crew left too late for my taste, I like to be on my couch by 4!

And tomorrow we have a meeting till 5!!!!!!!!!

Lil G, I marvel at your posts, I really do. Amazing. And I wonder, how long do they take you to type???????? :hippie:

I needed to get insurance information from some operator this week. I got like a 20% response rate by deadline. That really ticks me off!!!!! I always try to make deadlines, or at least communicate if there is a problem. SO I sent out a reminder today, "You are now a day past due". I got some responses, but still not everyone, GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

I'm off to cook another batch of chicken ala king. I will turn into a chicken. CLUCK!!!

Celery for President!

Hi to everyone else!

.

We went for a walk tonight. Another week Chad is working by the hour so he's home before dinner. Yay!

We're having a "cool" front. And by cool I mean slightly less hot. The highs are in the upper 80's. Sounds refreshing doesn't it? But it's less humid and breezy, so that's a relief.

Lil' G - Wow, that's a long post.

Wendy - I hope you sell your house! Even though you won't tell me why/where you're moving. :headache:

Good evening Moovers!

We finally got a (low-ball) offer on the house!
Knock on wood they'll accept our lowball counter offer!
Our current contract is about to expire in October. When we'd be forced to put our "moving on" plans aside till Spring. (That would SO suck!)

Wendy, just imagine that you are here and maybe that will bring you luck with the offer:

OK, I am all confuzzled!

I thought Wendy Lou Who wanted to move to Tennessee? Or Kentucky?

Not Maine or DL :confused3

HI Joe!!

HI Joe!!

I think if she had the option to move to DL she might not even take the time to pack before she would be on the road.;)

And if you are wondering the wires are the ones that Tink flies from during the fireworks at DL.

Marita -- good news for your son. I am sure he will do fine on Monday.

Joe-- cool picture. I had to go back though and look at the wires though... Thought of you today and the riddle thread. We have a chance to win tickets to the Christmas party ( not free this year) if we answer 5 questions and one is a riddle and I have no idea :confused3 Was never good at those.

P.J.-- you have to pay for pictures before they take them :confused3 Everyone get there picture taken then they send home two proofs to choose form, then we either pick a package or just send it back. Everyone gets a class picture even if they didn't buy anything. That is a nice bonus. I always buy the pictures though even if they have a bad hair day. :lmao:

Thanks, NAB, I know he will try his best, for sure! It is just so nerve-wrecking to be threatened with expulsion around every corner!!!!!

The last school/class picture I have is of DS graduating from Basic Training in August. Uniform and American flag, even. Alas and alack, it's only on paper. I do own a scanner, but it is not connected, so useless to me. If I remember, I will take one to work to scan.

I am seriously contemplating taking Friday or Monday off to get trp preparations done:eek:

Good evening, everyone!

Wendell, YAY for the offer on your house...even if it was a lowball offer! C'mon over this way now, quick!

Cel, before I commit to voting for you, would you mind detailing your position on international relations and immigration? Thanks.

Lynette-- have your Brownie meetings started yet? We got our first box of mint chocolate cookies Monday night.

NAB, our meetings started 3 weeks ago. We only meet every other week, though. No cookies yet...I think that comes much later for us.....Spring, maybe? In lieu of today's meeting, we went on a nature walk/scavenger hunt near our Town Hall, then took pics of the troop for the local newspaper. At the end of the get-together, I somehow had an out-of-body experience during which I watched in horror as I volunteered to be a co-leader. Ack! I heard the words coming out of my mouth, but I was powerless to stop myself! Why the helk do I put myself in these situations? :confused3

That's how our school does photos too, NAB. And, like you, I always buy the pictures. The group picture always gets put in their memory books. Our school also does a re-shoot day for those who are not happy with the results of the first picture day.

1. Please direct all campaign related questions to my campaign manager Pumba. Thanks!

2. Cuz you're Martha Stewart! Duh!

Nab and big L - Girl Scout cookie time starts January 1st for us.

Cel - Your new thread . . . what a hoot!

Nice job, Pumba! :rotfl:

Marita - YAY for your son!!!!!!! :thumbsup2 Sorry it's been so nerve wracking.

Interesting news about BLT's lounge. WHAT were they thinking

Wendy - Ack! Hope you can settle on a price.

L - Such a goog mama! (Sucker!!!!)

Nab and Peej - I sure am happy I haven't had to deal with picture day for YEARS!!!!!! Too stressful for us mamas.

MommyP - Hmmmmm, I'm stumped

Cash update: The infection was worse today, so he had to go back to the vet's office today and they kept him overnight so they can re-do his sutures :sad1: Poor boy.

Tomorrow, Mari's heading back to DC (and maybe Maine for part of her trip) to visit friends for TWO WEEKS! :faint:

moo - Mari is leaving so you have to nurse the grandpuppy back to health?
Poor cash!

Twinkie...It was picture day in my neck of the woods yesterday. I sent the order form home with the kids AND I mentioned it in my weekly letter. This morning I had this mom come in furious because she didn't know it was picture day the day before so she didn't order any pictures. It's not my fault her kid is totally spacey and didn't bring the dang form home!!! Surely none of you ever come into school and give the teacher a hard time, right?
I never give the teacher a hard time. And for the last few years they haven't even deserved it. I knew it was picture day. I got the forms. And the notes. Times two. I even wrote it on my calendar. I wasn't going to buy any but I was going to pay special attention to hair and wardrobe choices. However I just forget. Must be the lack of chocolate in my life. Or drivel-n-dreck deprivation.

YES! Kick his astarstar!!!!
:rotfl:

In other news, I'm running for president.

Celerystalker - Simply not qualified!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

1. Am I the only one who keeps thinking of a nice bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich instead of a swanky dvc property?

2. UTAH- an offer is an offer! YAY.

3. Everyone- I think this means I win the pool on "how soon will Lynette volunteer to lead the brownies" ..... I think I am going to order the photopass cd with my winnings :scratchin:

On the subject of fundraisers, I say GC cookies rock! I'll spring for some GC cookies.

Asst #2 brings in catalogues forher DD with way overpriced wrapping papers or sweets and stuff and magazine subscriptions, nothing under $25. Sorry, but I am too cheap to spend that much on stuff I neither need nor want. Harumph!

Oh yes, and it does make me feel guilty not to buy anything. But as I said, I'm cheap that way.
(never mind that I spent $240 on face creams, LOL). Not that the did anything more magical than the regular drugstore kind, but I was hopeful. But that won't happen again. CVS, 19.99 creams, here I come!

Cel, she has had this trip planned for a while. Don and I still feel pretty bad that he got hurt jumping our wimpy fence, so it's only fitting that we do the nursing :guilty:

L - Trefoils and lemon cookies for me, please!
