Marita - I've been following the story as well and just pray that Kaylee is at peace - because the chances of her being alive and well and unhurt now seem pretty slim. :(

People don't deserve children.
selfish dirty word of a mother!

Just in case anyone was wondering if the scary Universal horror nights are scary, the ad on the page right now is of a VERY SCARY EXORCIST GIRL! ACKACKACK! Make it go away!

Poor peej that has to go!
I wonder if hollywood is going to be the scary exorcist girl.
hmmm.

ariel one day, linda blair the next.
what a life!

Hi everyone...I got the call today that Mr Murry passed away and the funeral is Friday. Thanks for all your prayers.... he is now at peace.

Well, my hubby heard from our DD once she made it to her destination for her interview tomorrow. Please send positive thoughts and pixiedust: at 1:00 tomorrow!

will keep that poor baby in our prayers too

Prayers and pixie dust to all of you guys today.:wizard:

Wendy: Leaving a goat tied to a trampoline???? That is despicable. A playset maybe, but NEVER a trampoline, that's just crazy talk.;)

To all: I figure if I can't handle a little beurking, then I'm not much of a nurse, kwim? It's in the job description. lol

Bhound - Sorry to hear about Mr. Murray.
Moo- Good Luck to DD today

Wendy- Why do your neighbors have a goat ????
Babynurse - Thanks for being there for all these mothers and their babies
Celery - Hope you have a great Day. Off to take DH to Veterns Appointment.

MommyP
- Those are cute! Are they all for you, or are you selling some of them? Also, are the front carriers or back? I just need a visual to know how they are worn, so that I can truly appreciate your talent. I promise I am not trying to be an smart astarstar, just trying to visualize. :3dglasses
It's just one. One side is 2 fabrics with brown corduroy, the other side is lime green silk(you know for when we go to WDW. :rotfl: not really, it's so my DH has a less girly colored one so HE can carry the baby sometimes if we get to go for a weekend to F&WF)

You can carry them on your back or front. I prefer the front. It's more comfortable and I can nurse him that way. ;)

I am making them so sell though too. I have my first order in for Chad's friends wife. I'll make about $30 bucks on it. Not very much. But it's a start. They are just so dang expensive to make.

MommyP - Those colors look great! Did you work on Twink's yet?

I finished Twinkie's on Sunday while Chad was doing homework. She better take some action shots of her and Grasshopper when she gets it! (I sent it yesterday)

BabyN - Happy Giving Birth Day!

Morning all or is it afternoon yet?

We went to the Canadian National Exhibition yesterday. It always the last two weeks before school in Toronto. The kids loved it. They took the Go Train for the first time too. Spent way to much money on carnival games. Hubby was trying to win a big stuffed Cow....:lmao: Hannah won the birthday game and got a moose and hubby wanted her to pick the cow that was bigger, she didn't so he said he would win it then. He didn't. Watched a magic show ,dog show and a comedy show as well. We were there all day until late.

Now today I have to get some food in the house for school next week. We are having a big problem with lunch meat and cheese making people sick , 2 have died. And they have been coming out with new recalls everyday so not sure what I will send for lunches next week, it can't be peanut butter either.

Babynurse-- Happy Birthing Day and Birthday to your red head!

Mommy P-- love your handy work. $30.00 is $30.00. Next it will be on to more clothes making?

Nothin' says "I'm in Utah" like small livestock tied to a trampoline.

Ha! I think that would make a stunning tag for Wendy, don't you?

Happy birthing day and happy birthday to BBN and the redhead, respectively.

Today begins the travel soccer season for Boris. Ugh. School has only been in session for 3 days, and already I'm having to rearrange my work schedule and drive hither and yon. ACK! Thankfully, CBM allows me to have total flexibility with my schedule.

After spending the last 2 afternoons on the phone with various organizers of extracurriculars, an initial review of the kids' activities for the Fall/Winter looks like they'll have activities every single day except for Sunday, which of course is church. Good gravy, I hate having every nanosecond of my time scheduled for me. :sad2:

Okay, I'm done squawking. Thanks for allowing my rant.

MommyP, nice job on the baby transportation!

NAB, I am having the lunch dilemma too. Boris doesn't eat lunch meat of any kind, really. And he refuses to eat the lunch available at the school cafeteria. I'm kinda relegated to fruit, but then I feel compelled to throw in something more substantial so that he doesn't get hungry again before the end of the day. Thankfully, Natasha is a bit easier. She enjoys getting lunch at the cafeteria, and she'll also eat pretty much anything I send in her lunch box.

Ya think? I do have a fabulous horse pasture behind our property..but alas, we are residential, not "farm". Not zoned for livestock.

LOL! I love you, Twinkie!!!!

Wendy: Leaving a goat tied to a trampoline???? That is despicable. A play set maybe, but NEVER a trampoline, that's just crazy talk.;)

First day it was tied to an air compressor. :sad2:

Wendy- Why do your neighbors have a goat ????

Hmmmm. I do NOT know. He's not there any more for some reason....(there may have been an anonymous phone call to Animal Control because said GOAT's rope/chain was twisted so he could no longer move and he didn't seem to have any water).

Ha! I think that would make a stunning tag for Wendy, don't you?

TOADILLY. Ya know, any tag is a good tag with enough bling and glitz

Would the kids eat cheese? You could do cubed cheese with fruit. My mother used to make us pineapple and cheese sandwiches., but not for school. They were good. You can't send nuts either.

Cel Mama, pineapple and cheese on a sandwivh??????
Never heard of that. What kind of bread did she use? What kind of cheese?
Not that I am ready to try it, but inquiring minds want to know.

My days of making lunches as long gone. I don't think I ever did much of it, but I remember buying lunch boxes, so I must have done SOME!

BBN, Happy Birthing Day to you and Happy Birthday to the redhead!

Wendy, it seems like Animal Control is sort of Slooooooow to respond in Utah! Poor goat!

Melinda, where are you? No post in 2 days? :confused3 Hope you are OK.

Oh, and we have another Hurricane headed out way!!!! Hanna! And Gustav could turn, too.

Pumba, please give us an update on the baby. It didn't sound good yesterday.

Finished the last forecast of the year today, WOO HOO! Over budget again in expenses  . But now I have a break till early December, and that one is easy. Just say you will make in on budget, and you are good to go.
Except some technical things always seems to go wrong.........

Oh, and we have another hurricane headed our way, Hanna! And Gustav could turn too. Fun times!

What is with the freaky add? This is supposed to be a family friendly board. There is nothing more UNfamily friendly than Halloween Horror Nights. You couldn't pay me to go to that. It's like an invitation for a physco to go completly nuts and who would notice?

Lynette.......My granddaughter (who is a college sophmore) hated cafeteria food....hated luncheon meats........yuck to peanut butter stuff......so what did my dear daughter do........she asked her.......she had bagels and cream cheese.....she had popcorn and then bought milk and had popcorn and milk....give him a cereal bowl and let him do that.....at least he has something in his belly........a banana and fruit do not last very long...
''
Baby was supposed to be in the OR tomorrow at five am......Niece was going to be admitted at five pm tonight to get ready.....at two this pm....the text my sister got was not sounding good......it said cancelled.....no phone calls please....will be in touch later.......this does not sound good...she is so sick now...we just hope and pray that she is not in alot of pain ....she was this week.....it must be so sad to see her grimace and try to cry.....she cant because she has a breathing tube in.......they put a three port under her clavical......one that ws in her groin left her bleeding and black and blue.....so I appreciate all your prayers for the family.....I know it means alot to them..

GOOD NEWS from my daughter on her interview! She thought it went pretty well!!! :woohoo: She said she was just a little nervous while making her presentation. I didn't talk with her (because I was in a meeting when she called my office phone), but she left me a message and talked with my hubby. There were five people interviewing and she should hear from them in about a week. All my fingers and toes are crossed! Thanks again for your positive thoughts!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

Pumba - Continuing to send prayers for Brielle :grouphug: Sorry to hear that they canceled. How frustrating.

Nabbie - Sounds like a nice day. Too bad your hubby didn't win the cow!!! :lmao:

Sorry to hear about your and Lynette's lunch-making woes.

Lynette - Wow, what a schedule for your kids' activities! I was glad when dog obedience classes ended and that was only one night a week.

MommyP - Yay for your little sewing enterprise! I'm sure Twink's going to  it!!!

bbn - Happy Redhead Birthday and Birthing Day!

pancakebirthdayblog.jpg

I figure he probably shares your love of pancakes

Marita - STAY DRY! Yay for your budget work lull.

Moo, all appendages crossed for your DD!

YAY for the interview going well!

These days are flying by I tell you.

We had a day of errands to run. Since it is a long weekend and I am leaving tomorrow for a wedding near my mom's I had get the food shopping done and other errands today.

We played baseball in the rain tonight too. That wasn't fun so I had to start the washer when I got home to wash up everything.

Moo-- I have everything crossed that your dd gets the job!!

Pumba-- That poor baby and your family that has to go though all this.

Marita-- stay dry...is Mony still there? Hope she is staying dry too. At the EX yesterday they had our Canadian troops there with tanks, trucks, planes etc. Nicholas tried on the army helmet and vest. He said they are very heavy and wouldn't want to wear them all day...the young guy said more like weeks you have to wear them. We took a picture of it. I will try to post pictures next week.

Lynette-- I hope the kids don't have you running around too much that you can't come here to play.

UMA-- Is that goat still tied up out there?

Pumba, he will eat a BLT if it comes from home, so I sometimes give him that. Otherwise, he takes an enormous tub of fruit (usually watermelon... And you know how expensive watermelon is in the winter months, right???? ), plus a "dessert" of some kind. He also sometimes takes raw vegetables and veggie dip (things like cucumbers, grape tomatoes, pepper strips, carrot sticks, etc.) It would just be soooo much easier if he'd at least TRY the cafeteria lunch once in a while!

I can't believe the road Brielle has already had to travel. Poor baby! And I cannot even imagine what her parents and family are going through! Such a difficult situation....God bless them!

Lynette - Wow, what a schedule for your kids' activities! I was glad when dog obedience classes ended and that was only one night a week.

Yes, Moo...I'm going to be mighty busy this season! I was hoping to pick up some more hours at work now that the kids are back at school, but I'm going to actually have fewer hours b/c I'm going to be shuttling them around to activities! Oy!

That's great news about your DD's interview! Keep us posted, okay?

Hi NAB, you snuck in!

I got my grocery shopping done today too...right after soccer practice. Now I can use tomorrow to spend w/the kids (they have the day off). I also need to get some cooking done, b/c we're having a cookout on Sunday. I am soooo looking forward to the 4-day weekend!

Lynette -- didn't they just go back to school and they have a day off already... That is a lot of fruit. Wish mine would eat fruits and veggies like that.

We have a wedding to go to on Saturday but are leaving tomorrow as soon as we are ready to stay at my mom's. Hubby and I both decided that my mom is going to be the driver for that evening, she doesn't know this yet but will be fine with it since it is only 15 minutes from her house and she doesn't drink.

Yes, the school committee plans the start of the year so the kids have one 3-day week first, then one 4-day week (due to Labor Day), then finally a full week. The idea is to ease them back into the swing of things.

And yes, Boris eats TONS of fruits and vegetables. My weekly grocery bill averages about $60-$70 in fresh produce alone. :scared:

Have a great time at the wedding!
