Moo, I had a great reply, really. But it got eaten by the Dis and I am too lazy to repost it.
Well, really, it wasn;t all that great anyway....

GOOD MORNING!

The coffee is brewing and the long weekend is here at last. My house is a dee-saster so I must clean all day today if I want to relax for the rest of the weekend.

MommyP
....Yellow diapers? :scared: Your little man is sooo cute! Like a little sleeping cherub.

Monica....Details? Hope it was fun.

Moo
....Thanks for missing me.

BNCG....Dogs to rope? And cornhole? Now that's a party!

Marita? Couldn't you have walked to Le Cellier instead?

Lynette, Twink, Wendeeeee, et al
........:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

MommyP - What is the purpose of dying Isaac's diapers? Just to freshen them up? Hope the color doesn't rub off on his little tushie
Do you buy colored underwear? ;) I think his cloth diapers are sooo cute and now they are even cuter. I just like doing things like this. I have too much time on my hands since Chad works so late(he's working today too) and I need something for myself(my sewing and such). I am with my children 24/7, you know.

They shouldn't bleed onto him, I followed the directions from other Mama's who dye their diapers from my cloth diaper forums.

Oh My Gosh! I miss that (a little)!!!!!

I love blissfully sleeping babies :cloud9:

Good job on your diaper dying. Do you rinse in vinegar to set the color?
I didn't use vinager, she said it wasn't needed. We'll see. I will be washing them separate from my other diapers for a few washes to be sure.
MommyP[/B]....Yellow diapers? :scared: Your little man is sooo cute! Like a little sleeping cherub.

You know, bright yellow. I think it will be cool. :)

Marita? Couldn't you have walked to Le Cellier instead?

Melinda, think about this....

1) Pay out of pocket ($$$)

2) Walk right up to Le Cellier and get a table, same day?? HAHAHA

3) No discount this time of year because........

IT'S FREE DINING TIME!!!!
So there was no snowball's chance in helk that we could have gotten in.

I made it back from the grocery store with barely a scratch on me.

But boy did the checking account take a massive beating.

I'm trying to go, once a month. With only a few trips inbetween for milk and juice.

We will see.

Marita: that mom was all over the news when we were down there because of them finding evidence that there was a dead body in the trunk of her car.

Details: in a nut shell. Although we were poured on one day for hours straight, we had a great time. I will go more into things in the trip report.

We did get treated with extra pixie dust a few times, Mal's 4th birthday was in her words, her best birthday ever!

I will never go back that time of year again, although I'd love to move there.

Does that make sense?

A four day trip is such a tease, and I can not wait for our 10 day trip in December. 102 days away.

I've got mail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My ring sling is sooooo beautiful!!!!! Thank you Amanda!!

It looks great. And Grasshopper looks great in it. We tried it out. It turns out you need a PhD in Advanced Mama Skills and/or Rocket Science but I managed. ;)

Little man just went down for a nap but I will take and post pictures when he wakes up.

Monica- Welcome back!:wizard: I hear you on the grocery store. My goal has always been once a week. Of course I have been every day for the last 5 days:rolleyes:
Lexy- I have missed you. Thanks for the update.
Cowgirl- Are you alive after the par-tay?
Hi everybody else :dance3:

Twinkie - Can't wait to see it in action!

Speaking of action, I've got finished dyed diaper pictures!
P1040444.jpg

These are red/blue dip dyed ones. They look so cute on. :lmao:
P1040446.jpg

The dark blue ones didn't come out as well because we couldn't stir them much because there were half red ones hanging over the edge of the bucket.

Not pink but an awesome red. The picture looks pink though.

At Joann's I found some silk red tagged for $6 a yard. I got lightish limeish green, purple and yellow. :rotfl: Plus some denim and an really pretty fabric to go with the denim.

Plus more fleece for soakers. :cool1:

Hey, MommyP, those look really cute.
But please remind me, what is the difference between diapers and soakers :confused3

soakers are a type of diaper cover. They aren't 100% moisture proof, but they do keep the wetness in if you don't allow the diaper to get soaked.

Still no pics from Twinkie? Long nap.

OK I am floored!

How many times have I watched "The Sound of Music"?

Dozens!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And tonight was the first time that I heard the housekeeper say that they planned on putting new drapes in Maria's room! Why I don't know, she even sad that.
Anyway, all this time I thought she just took them.

Marita, I'm watching too, but I think I know it by heart. The Senior class before mine did it as their Senior play and the younger son was played by a neighbor. He was nearly 5 feet tall. The wedding took place down the center aisle of the seats and only the priest was on stage.
I had a loong week, but now have my third weekend in a row off. And when I go to DLR, I will be off 10 days in a row! Nothing going on but work and sleep, and of course, the start of football, volleyball, and soccer seasons. But most of you don't want to hear about that. Maybe bbn, since Indiana beat us today in football.

Lex - It's nice to have you back! My, you were up early for a Saturday though!!! I slept WAY in today :goodvibes and have been reading most of the day. Although, I may do a late night run to the grocery store. It's always a zoo during the day on Saturdays.

MommyP - Guess I had just never heard of dyed diapers before! Except, I always thought people bleached them to get the yuckies out. It seems like the dye wouldn't hold up too well to bleaching. But Isaac does look cute in them and his little soakers!!!

Twink - Looking forward to seeing your new sling in use :)

Mony - Glad to hear Mal had a pixie-dusted birthday!!!!!!! I need to get back over to your TR.

Marita -That reminds me that I should check availability for lunch at LeCellier this weekend. Maybe some ADR planning will help me figure out which parks on what days. I really need to see which days have extra magic hours.

Let me know what you have in mind for Le Cellier. For now, one of our group has super powers (well, almost), but he may lose them soon due to new system coming on board.

DTD, you work way too much! Glad you are having a vacation coming up!

Dang, I wish I could do that Austrian folk dance. Or any folk dance for tht matter!

Moo - I don't bleach them. It's not necessary. Any left over stains come out in the sun, which also acts as bleach for germs. Bleaching is old school. ;o)

Isn't my sling just beautiful?! Look at the rich color.

Here is a close up- she did excellent work!

Hi...my wife always used salt to set the dye...but that may have been an old wifes tell from her mom but IDK

Nice work on everything, MommyP...especially Twink's sling!

Twink, you look fantastic! Look how long your hair has gotten! And Grasshopper makes quite the stunning accessory!

Good Saturday evening, everyone. DH and I are watching a movie together. Dan in Real Life. It's okayish, but I've been spending more time doing stuff on my paid-to-review site than I have paying attention to the movie. I am contemplating a snack too. Any suggestions?

Hey donald...I am interested and even got a ticket for face value for tomorrows Uof L vs. Uof K game :woohoo:....it pays to have friends in high places...we are going to be tailgatting by 11am before the game ... then till maybe midnight .... ribs before the game an wings after....yummmmm

Great sling, beautiful momma and baby too! Love that fabric!

Lynette, in my teen years, there was this bakery in my school town that had fresh nougat, the best thing you ever could have as a snack. Sliced fresh off a big slab and wrapped in wax paper. Of course, that doesn't do any of us any good now. But I was reminded of that by Mrs. The Kings's post of Main Street Bakery fudge. (That is a funny TR)
Maybe it's close. I will have to check it out one day

Hmmm, Marita...was it fudge-y in consistency or more of a torrone type candy? Now you have me wanting to cook up something elaborate for a snack. Bad, bad Marita! :rotfl:
