All we got it 4 new headbands ( Hannah is growing her bangs out, which I hate but will live with it) and a Build a Bear she has been saving for.

NAB, we finally got Boris' backpack and lunchbox today. I had earned a $50 gift card for L.L. Bean from another site where I'm a member, so I got the two pieces for no money. Then we decided to have the backpack monogrammed (initials only), so they ended up costing me $9.50 But I still feel like I got a huge score!

Mony, YAY, it's almost time. Stil been raining here, but it's supposed to move out by Sunday.

So we went to Olive Garden today for last day for an associate moving back to Wisconsin. I got there at 12, everyone else was already there. Party of 11.
So really it wouldn't be much of a story,(not that THIS is really much of a story), but they gave our table and another table of 8 to one girl. All seated at the same time, with no one helping this poor girl. Needless to say, service was very slow. Different groups arrived at different times. and she got all orders mixed up on paper and had to start all over (all separate checks). All I ordered was a soup, and by 1:15 I still hadn't gotten it, and by that time, I was full with bread, and told her to just cancel it. So my lunch today was bread and water...
Anyway, nobody at our table cared too much, because it was "quiet before the storm forecast Friday".
But apparently the other table of 8 complained, and someone overheard a manager comped the entire table. The poor girl come to our table sniffling. Apparently she got reemed!
Now, our group (being in the hospitality business) knew that she was way overloaded. You can't serve 19 people at the same time by yourself.
Knitfreak told her it was not her fault. Poor girl said, well, they say it is.
She had a BAD DAY!!!!
We finally were done by 1:45. a good 2 hours later....

Marita-- can't wait until all this shopping is done and I can go back to my regular routine. Have to get the kids to school and Hubby back to work which will be day after Labour Day.

I love the Olive Garden, they closed all the ones in Canada years ago. So we try to go when we are State side. I can make a meal out of the bread sticks too..

Lynette- what a score on the backpack. I am finding everything very expensive this year even with sales.

I feel like my mom now saying I remember when you only paid this much..... Actually I just finished telling Nicholas today that I can remember when gas was 36 cents and he will probably tell his kids I remember when gas was a $1.00

GOOD MORNING!

I finally finished Breaking Dawn this morning so I can get back to my life. The dishes have really piled up in the sink between our busy schedule and this stupid book. Maybe I'll even cook something. Heh.

Mimi's first night in the dorm last night. DS wants to move in with her. He's sooooo sad she's moved out. I hope she likes it there.

Hope all is well with everyone. I am a might behind here. I'll try to get caught up first chance I get.

Lexi-- so you have been reading, now it makes sense why you are staying up so late.

It has been pretty quiet around here lately. I have one week until I can go back to my normal routine.

Do you think I could get the kids to clean up the house before they go back. I have stuff everywhere. I made them put there school supplies in there backpacks this morning. They had everything spread out on my kitchen counter. We only need 1 ruler( has to be centermitres). New pencils.

Well better get some stuff picked up, it is driving me crazy around here.

Hi, Nabbie - Mari and I got together with some of my friends from work last night for dinner and to do some practice interview questions in advance of her interview next Thursday. They all thought she did well and seemed very poised and knowledgeable. Mari left around 9:30 to go see one of her friends but I stayed to visit with my friends until 12:00.

My friend Liz brought her new collie/Australian Shepherd mix puppy, Summer, over. After searching for several months, she finally found a puppy to be a companion to her dog, Autumn. They both have butterscotch and white coloring and are really cute together.

DS GOT A JOB OFFER May this job be all its purported to be!! May he get his car working this weekend and be able to get to work with it - and enjoy the job and earning money!! HEAR my prayer!
