Last night I decided I wasn't going to bed until I finished Breaking Dawn.

I finished, now where do I go to vent?

Vent, oh NOOOOOOOO, dont say that!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1: I'm only on page 151! I would hate to feel the need to vent after all this!

But I think there is a twilightmoms.com

http://www.twilightmoms.com/

I haven't read it, since I am not caught up yet.

Hi, its been a great day for the USA in MENS Beach Vollyball (Gibbs/Rosenthal)and Mens Water Pollo(USA won a big uspset defeating Croatia)

Lynette and Mony - I'm also glad to hear your news. Fingers crossed and more prayers sent, Mony! I'm sure your kids will be thrilled when you tell them about your surprise trip!!!

Marita - I had the same thought, but will be up for a meet whatever happens ;)

I've been puttering around the house today trying to get the dishes and laundry caught up and do some decluttering. We need to make a space in the laundry room for Cash's kennel tomorrow since he sheds quite a bit. Last time DD visited, there was a 3"-wide layer of hair all the way around the kennel.

Looks like a hurricane is heading out way by Monday/Tuesday!!
Or at least triopical storm. The weather pics show Orlando right in the path!

I had 3 of them in 6 weeks in 2004, I lost my roof, my fence and 3 trees!
I am DONE with them!

Someone please go blow Fay out into the open ocean!!!

Talked to my son today, he is bummed, he was hoping to get off base housing. He is in a hotel room on base so far (fridge and microwave), but looks like he will get a dorm room on base next week.

Thanks, BH!

Back in 2004, it was a sea of blue tarps on roofs for many months! And just the dread of another one coming was awful! Pretty much everyone at work and at home was hooked on the weather channel and weather.com. We filled thousands of flashlights with batteries for the guests on property. But luckily, we never lost power at Disney with the backups systems. Same could not be said for my house, days without power in August and September!!! It was not pretty! Couldn't even get gas, because there was no power for the pumps. And traffic signals did not work either.

Luckily we do not often get hurricanes this far inland, but in 2004, 3 in a row went right into town! Right through what the call the I-4 corridor. With the worst part near the airport, where I live!!!!!!!!!

Very scary those Huricanes...we have straight line thunderstorms with hail an lightnight an every once in a while a tornado which is bad enough and my house has been flooded twice now in the last 3 years...which really makes a huge mess.

Yikes, yes I remember your flooding, BH. That sucks too. Once when I was a teenager in Germany, we had a flooding so bad that you could not go from one part of town to the other, and the cellar was totally filled.
I dont think any kind of weather disasters are fun: flooding, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, and whatever else there is!

Or droughts even!

Are y'all not up yet? Srsly.

I spent $65 at the yard sale. Got a Gap coat, 6ish Polo shirts, t-shirts, hoodies, khakis, etc. Everything a growing boy needs and then some. Quite a haul.

They even had one of the boys help me carry it all back home. I told him to be careful and not spill anything on his good clothes cuz I'd be buying them all at next year's yard sale. Heh.

One neighbor is selling bacon/egg/cheese sammiches for $2. So I got one. Bargain!

Ooooo....also bought a DVD player for $10. DS knocked the old one off on the floor and broke it a coupla weeks ago. I found it in the kitchen trash can.
Love me the neighborhood Yard Sell! SCORE!!!!

Dr. T thinks Tim's lesions are not cancer!

He still has to have the surgery so we can be sure.

I'll find out Monday when it's going to be scheduled.

I did 12 more laps at the track today.

Big Back Yard Birthday Party tomorrow for the chitlins and I may let the cat out of the bag about the trip.

Tim and I were scheming on our date last night.

We saw Tropic Thunder. It was funny, that was my whole point, just wanting to laugh and forget about reality for a bit.

DO NOT take kids to that one. I was shocked to see a 4yr oldish child in the theatre. I just don't get people. F bombs all over the place.

Back to packing! and cleaning, and hiding stuff so my house doens't look so cluttered.
Hiding stuff so your house doesn't look cluttered? :wave2:

I wanna see Trophic Thunder really badly! The last movie I saw was Stepbrothers and it was "Meh".

Well? How did your date go???

Happy Saturday, everyone!

Good news to report:

1. My godfather's blood infection is clearing up, and as a result, his BP is finally approaching normal. The docs are thinking that his heart was so stressed because of the infection that it caused the irregularity in his heart rhythm, so they're taking a wait-and-see attitude until his infection is completely cleared up. They're keeping him in the hospital for a few more days.

2. The pediatrician says Natasha's nosebleeds are most likely a result of irritation due to allergies. Since we live in a heavily wooded area, he thinks there's an excess of mold spores outside due to all the rain we've been having lately. He wants her to have a dose of children's Claritin daily (right before bedtime) until allergy season passes. We've been giving her the doses for the past two nights, and I am thrilled to report, we are nosebleed-free!

I am in full-on cleaning frenzy mode these past two days! I've gotten laundry, dishes, floors, rugs, cabinets, walls and woodwork cleaned. I even did some windows today! I am putting off grocery shopping, but I really need to go today. Blech!

NAB, I've seen those M&M commercials too.....but I'm thinking I'm better off not even opening that can o' worms. I have enough vices...I don't need to add upscale M&Ms!

Gotta get back to scrubbin'...see ya later!

ETA: Mony, you snuck in while I was blathering.....that's GREAT news about Tim! Of course, I'll continue to pray for him all the same.
1 & 2. YEAHHHHH!

Whuuuut? Upscale M&M's (to you too,B]Marita[/B]) UGHHH, I'm dying for a carb! Maybe just one...

I'm in a cleaning frenzy too! Now that I finished Breaking Dawn (752 pages!)

BH- did you watch rowing? Oh MY! I think I wouldn't mind giving that a try.

Ok, for dinner, it's Ba-sketti and meatballs with REAL garlic bread. I'll have sauce on veggies. Grrrr. Stupid dieting!!!!

My cleaning frenzy has a way to go yet! Did you feel the need to vent like Mony? It kind of scares me! I have 500 pages to go!

My DD's BF is on the rowing team at the university. Big, blond, muscular, handsome, and graduated summa cum Laude! Go for the rowing!!

DH said I needed to pick up frozen meatballs, because DD said she wanted to make some. So I did. DD said what???? No, I didnt want any. I wonder if I can use them for swedish meatballs???? But I think I need sour cream for that, dont I? Oh well, I shall see. Anyway, we have frozen meatballs and frozen garlic bread in the house.

Paula Radcliff is making her final lap in the bird nest arena...she wont place but she did finish....M. Phelps race should be coming soon

Hi Marita ...a young german girl won the woman's 50 meter free style by 1/100 of a second beating Torres...the 41 yr old swimmer for USA

I know, I saw it. I am looking forward to hearing the German anthem later :)
I love the USA too, but you know, there is always a special something for the homeland!

Good...Im glad you seen it.....my uncle served in the US Army an was station in Germany in the 70's an really seemed to enjoy it our there....He got me starting to collect those German Steins he brought back several and game me my first one.

This made me look up the words to the German anthem tonight.

Of course the cut out the part that was the original first part:

OK, never mind...

Mony, if it makes you feel any better, my hubby has an old injury to one of his ribs that formed a calcium spur sort of thing on it. It shows up on xrays and hit gves him some discomfort whenever he has to cough because it rubs against the soft tissues. Maybe his lesions are something similar?
