Hi MP! have fun at the beach. Why bring a pack-n-play when you can use an old wagon or beach chair or trash can? ;)

Hi NAB- thanks for the quickie trip report! I bet you love the Dixie Stampede. It was my favorite thing I saw in Branson. My girls were completely enchanted... we saw the Christmas version which has elves and ice skaters and even a Nativity in addition to the horse tricks and races.

Chicken fried steak is steak that is fried with a chicken type breading. How funny you thought it was chicken! My husband likes to order that at McCrackerHut.

Our local Cracker Barrel is next to our closest McDonald's. We rarely eat at Cracker Barrel but often go to McD's (dollar menuaire I am). Anyway we recently (3 months ago) took our entire crew to Cracker Barrel. Later one daughter was commenting... "I sure did enjoy that McCrackerHut restaurant":rotfl:

Feel free to use it too. ;)

For some reason we are watching the Olympics on the Korean channel. :confused3 I depend on the commentary to help me make intelligent remarks because I know nothing about most sports.
Now it is our family lexicon.

WE are Dollar Menuaires too! LOL!
I was JUST there getting a sugar free vanilla iced coffee and was *this* close to getting FRIES! :scared:

ACK! I got busy and forgot to call you back. :3dglasses

The wagon he can climb out of.

A chair he can climb off of

A trash can might work, but I figure a pack n play might offer more breeze than a trash can. lol
Let him snooze in your mei tei?
Or take a stroller you can strap him in?
Have FUN! I haven't been to a real beach in years! Spent many summers in Newport Beach Ca. :guilty: And when Jordan was a baby, we lived literally 119 steps from the sand. !

Attn: TWILIGHT readers!
I am on page 132 of Breaking Dawn right now, and so far like it the best of all. But I have a question (I probably skimmed the earlier books).
BUT, HOW do the vampires have all that money????? Only Carlisle holds down a job, and it cant possibly pay for all that stuff :confused3

What did I miss?????????

Have a great weekend, everyone!!

[

I KNOW! I KNOW!
See, the Cullens are 100's of years old. I know they invest in various semi-legal ventures. Also, Alice can SEE the stock market trends. Edward and Carlisle come from very wealthy families too. :cool2:

BH- love country fried/chicken fried pounded meats with gravy.

Moo- Your turn sister! Utilize the chat box :rolleyes1 (love ya!!!)

Nab- Pictures of said hottie??

Olympics volleyball is COOL! See, unless the ball actually comes directly to me, I can't possibly risk breaking a nail. Plus, it looks like WORK.
Crap, WHY didn't I get ANY athletic ability whatsoever? :upsidedow

OK, I think i need to adopt Alice :teacher: But I think I have a vague memory of Edward being rescued from a poor hospital. And Carlisle was the son of a wealthy priest, LOL!
But I like your thinking!

I haven't been to the beach in 18 years, I bet, and I live 1.5 hours away.

The Dixie Stampede was really good!!! Wasn't sure what to expect. Thought it was like Medevial Times but I liked this one better.

We sat beside a couple from Lansing Michigan!! I thought of you Moo...We were on the northern side which we sure are from...:lmao: Our side won.

Hannah got pick to chase chickens for our side. She wore sandals so the server asked Nicholas if she could borrow his running shoes....Hannah's shoe size is 2 , Nicholas's are size 12 .... It was pretty funny to see her run in those shoes in the sand. They gave her a book and medal for her effort.

UMA-- no picture , we forgot our camera in the car and we were parked really far back so now one wanted to run back...

Thanks for the explanation of the Chicken Steak. We don't have a $1.00 menu in Canada it is $1.39 and our Mc Chicken is the same price of a Big Mac combo....We do love your menu too.

Not sure why but this just sounded really funny. Where is Spongie?

Wheat Thins

WOW, look what the cat dragged in!

Anyone need advice about how to get out of jail?

Act fast!

Which reminds me. WT, did you read about the young woman in Orlando being held on $500,000 bond because her child is missing? No solid evidence of anything, other than she is a loony and a liar, apparently.

Nab, you snuck in on me! Glad you are having a good time!!!!

Moo, are you going to be there around the same time as Mony in December?
Maybe we could all meet up one day.

DD is home safe and sound from Texas tonight!!
YES! I should be there some of the same days as Mony and would love to meet up, Marita.

Yay for your DD being safely home!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

My DD called tonight and said she might come home on Sunday instead of next Thursday!!!!!!! :woohoo:

Hmmmm . . . sounds like an interesting "date" for knitfreak.

Nabbie - Those Lansingites really get around! That made me think of the lady from the Toronto area that Cel and I sat next to during Lights! Motors! Action! at Hollywood Studios. Her accent sounded just like yours :) Hannah gets picked for lots of fun stuff - probably because she's such a cutie!!!

Is that really you, Wheat Thins?

I just saw this commercial for M&M premiums.
Now, I dont normally eat much sweets, but I love me some M&M's on occasion.

I think I might just have to try the premiums out. The commercial was funny, a female M&M all sexy in heels.

GOOD MORNING!

Meeting went well yesterday. I think they like me! And they want me to help them purchase some new equipment, etc. for the office.

QUICKBOOKS USERS: We only use Mac in our office but I hear the QuickBooks edition for Windows is much better. Does anyone have personal experience here? I may have to run Windows and Leopard on my computer.

Today is the neighborhood yard sell! I buy most of DS's winter wardrobe from one neighbor for $20ish every year. It's all Gap and some of it still has the tags. So I MUST be early.

But I think it's evile to schedule the neighborhood yard sell the week school starts. Like I don't have anything to do but get together a yard sale! ACK! When I was scheduling it, it was always the weekend after Labor Day.

NAB....Chicken Fried Steak is NOT steak. That was really funny. Glad you enjoyed the stampede. I feel like Marita who hasn't been to the beach in 18 years. I live just a few hours from all those attractions you mentioned and have never been there.

Twink....I'm sure MommyP will McGyver sumpm for the baby to sleep in. ;)

Marita....I got the idea that Alice predicted the stock market also. I think Edward told Bella that once. I fell asleep reading it last night.

Moo.....What are yours and Monica's WDW dates? Do they overlap with Twink?

Pumba....So happy to hear that there is a match for sweet lil Brielle! My friend's mom donated part of her liver for her grandson and everything turned out just fine.

EVERYBODY HAVE A FUN SATURDAY!

Are y'all not up yet? Srsly.

I spent $65 at the yard sale. Got a Gap coat, 6ish Polo shirts, t-shirts, hoodies, khakis, etc. Everything a growing boy needs and then some. Quite a haul.

They even had one of the boys help me carry it all back home. I told him to be careful and not spill anything on his good clothes cuz I'd be buying them all at next year's yard sale. Heh.

One neighbor is selling bacon/egg/cheese sammiches for $2. So I got one. Bargain!

Ooooo....also bought a DVD player for $10. DS knocked the old one off on the floor and broke it a coupla weeks ago. I found it in the kitchen trash can.

Lex - Yes, I was able to sleep in this morning - until 10:30! :) Nice score at the yard sell!!!

I switched my dates to the 5th through the 13th, in order to have some overlap with both Twink and Mony in case they're able to be free to meet up for a meal or something. But I may spend part of that time visiting my cousin at her condo in Sebring and then she may join me at WDW. She met me at WDW for a day in January 07 and it was her first time to visit Epcot and second time at the MK. We went to the MK for a day during Spring break when we were sophomores in high school. That was the only park at the time and was the only time she had ever been to Disney. I suggested that she and her husband visit Epcot for the Food & Wine Festival with some of their friends last winter, but that's not really their "thing". They'd rather be golfing and boating . . .

I'd really like my daughter to spend part of the week with me, but it will depend on her job situation at the time and whether she can get away. I'm not going to make my flight reservations for a while until that's figured out.

BH - I'm sure lots of people here can relate to that Hooray sign! As for me, I used to dread back-to-school time because it was so busy with school activities during my busiest time at work at the end of the fiscal year.

Dr. T thinks Tim's lesions are not cancer!

He still has to have the surgery so we can be sure.

I'll find out Monday when it's going to be scheduled.

I did 12 more laps at the track today.

Big Back Yard Birthday Party tomorrow for the chitlins and I may let the cat out of the bag about the trip.

Tim and I were scheming on our date last night.

We saw Tropic Thunder. It was funny, that was my whole point, just wanting to laugh and forget about reality for a bit.

DO NOT take kids to that one. I was shocked to see a 4yr oldish child in the theatre. I just don't get people. F bombs all over the place.

Back to packing! and cleaning, and hiding stuff so my house doens't look so cluttered.

Happy Saturday, everyone!

Good news to report:

1. My godfather's blood infection is clearing up, and as a result, his BP is finally approaching normal. The docs are thinking that his heart was so stressed because of the infection that it caused the irregularity in his heart rhythm, so they're taking a wait-and-see attitude until his infection is completely cleared up. They're keeping him in the hospital for a few more days.

2. The pediatrician says Natasha's nosebleeds are most likely a result of irritation due to allergies. Since we live in a heavily wooded area, he thinks there's an excess of mold spores outside due to all the rain we've been having lately. He wants her to have a dose of children's Claritin daily (right before bedtime) until allergy season passes. We've been giving her the doses for the past two nights, and I am thrilled to report, we are nosebleed-free!

I am in full-on cleaning frenzy mode these past two days! I've gotten laundry, dishes, floors, rugs, cabinets, walls and woodwork cleaned. I even did some windows today! I am putting off grocery shopping, but I really need to go today. Blech!

NAB, I've seen those M&M commercials too.....but I'm thinking I'm better off not even opening that can o' worms. I have enough vices...I don't need to add upscale M&Ms!

Gotta get back to scrubbin'...see ya later!

ETA: Mony, you snuck in while I was blathering.....that's GREAT news about Tim! Of course, I'll continue to pray for him all the same.

Mony and Lynette, that is fabulous news for both of you!!! :goodvibes

Mony, good luck with the party tomorrow. Be sure to update your pre-trippie! Let us know if you spring the big surprise.

Lexi, great haul you got today. And all for only $65, YAY!! And I never doubted your bosses would like you. Sorry, I am no help on the technical stuff. Oh, and yes, Disney really still uses Office 2003.

Moo, I hope your DD can come with you in December. It would be really fun to meet up with her, Twinkie, and Mony (and me). Although I am not at all sure that Twinkie;s DH is up for letting her meet up with freaky internet people, LOL.

Nab, glad you are enjoying your trip!

I actually woke up at 8:30 this morning, but DH was peacefully reading the paper in the living room, so I decided to read a bit of Breaking Dawn in bed, but then decided it was too early, and went back to sleep.
Then I dreamed about 9 guys transforming into something. Vampires I think! (they were burred up to their necks in the ground and gradually crawled out as the were transfromed. Oddly, it was not a scary dream)
I finally got up at 11:42

I need to go grocery shopping too, Blech!

Happy Saturday, everyone!

Last night I decided I wasn't going to bed until I finished Breaking Dawn.

I finished, now where do I go to vent?
