Mony - Hoping those spots are from his past injury and not cancer. pixiedust: Goog job on the 10 Miles. I just got back from my 4 mile run. Did it in 49:54. I was determined to do it in under 50 min. I did it, but BARELY! :thumbsup2 Oh, and I usually walk the neighborhood while DD is at piano, but tonight, I decided to call..................DISNEY! ::yes:: Curiosity killed this cat. :rotfl2: I just had to know what my PIN Code offer was. Pop and POFQ are both available for a Tues - Sat. stay. Now if I could just convince DH, and that will be a tough sale since DD and I just went in Jan., and DH isn't a Disney fan.

Marita
- You should be so proud! :cool2: Form letter or not, that is very nice, and worth keeping.

Oh, and DD's piano lesson went fine, BUT when we got there she realized that she had scheduled DD AND another girl for the SAME TIME. I'm trying not to be mad, but this lady doesn't seem to have it together. My gut says leave, but DD loved her. She asked us to come back 30 min. later. Luckily, I didn't have anything going on today, so that was doable for me. Once DD got there she kept her for her 30 min. lesson + 10 more min. Plus she told me she still owed me a free lesson, and she would give me another free one since she messed up. So, I only had to pay $15 for the month. Now our lessons are going to be an hour earlier, which is fine with me, but this whole experience has made me a little leary. :sad2:

Now, I know y'all are just getting my side of the story, but am I being ridiculous for being a little peeved?

Allie, I would be peeved too. Scheduling should not be an issue for someone who does that for a living!

Congrats on your run, and Mony too, woohoo!

And of course Sandy. I can't even contemplate running a half Marathon!

I have trouble even walking fast, LOL!

Shoot, I just finished reading the wedding of Bella and Edward, and I really want to read what happes nest. And it would be a perfect day to take off tomorrow, except for the baby shower for the boss. And it's already past 1 am. DANG!!!!!!!!!!!! So I guess I better call it a night!

GOOD MORNING!

Gotta meet the new bosses for coffee this morning. They have a meeting every Friday and asked me to join today. Wish me luck.

Allie....Piano teachers are primarily artists who just happen to have a gift for teaching. They are all fairly unorganized if you ask me. Give her a break and see how it goes. Plus...those are some CHEAP piano lessons compared to what I paid.

Monica.....   Praying! Glad the headache is gone!

Marita....The book gets better! It's in 3 segements...Bella, Jacob, Bella. When I got to Jacob's book I was all "NO WAY!" and then Jacob's part took up the story right where Bella's left off so it was OK. I'm on the second Bella part. I can see where it's going...I think.

Moo....Dresden sounds goog. Or how bout French Lick, IN. Anybody been there?

Sandy! Way to go, sister! Have fun at the lake!

MommyP
....Yo go!

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

heyall. prayers for tim and baby brielle.
and anyone else who needs them!
off to the airport.

GOOG Morning everyone.

My niece (remember I have 18 neices and nephews, and 56 great nieces and nephews and on and on)........ANYWAYS>.......my neice who is a sister to the grandmom is a match......as soon as the baby has had enough of a certain drug in her system ....I believe the surgery will be on.....while they wait for that to happen they also wait for a cadaver too.......that way the procedure doesnt have to be done on my niece. But one step .....only one step at a time.

Tim......remember we (the mooers and alot of other people you dont know) are keeping you in our prayers too.........we know that they work.......

thanks everyone......

Oh Pumba that is great news. I hope baby Brielle and your niece come through the surgery perfectly. Still praying though.

Allie- How cool you did it under 50 minutes! Now, tell me what your time was when you first started running? I love how subtle fitness progress is. It honestly seems to be a little improvement every single time :flower3: which IS good, because I lose interest in things that don't show results.

Pumbah- Great news, that! I love your massive family!

Monicah- Love you mama!

Melindah- good luck!

BH, Maritah, Moo, Celery, ETC
....Good morning and have a Wonderful Day!!!!

Funny, I haven't thought to go back and look in a long time. My first run was 20 minutes, and I only went 1.37 Miles. WOW!! I've come a long way. My Pace back then was about 14min/mile. Last night it was 12:24/mile. I guess I am making progress. I can tell you running is as much mental as it is physical. You can psyche yourself out, and have a crappy run, or you can tell yourself positive things and keep going when your body says NO.

Hey all. Just checking in before the weekend.

We're going to the beach tomorrow. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to bring the pack N play for Isaac for not. Should be interesting since he refuses to sleep anywhere but at home. lol.

Have a great weekend.

Hi everyone I am still in Pigeon Forge until tomorrow.

We went to Dollywood yesterday. It is one hilly park. Almost too much for my mom. We watched a lot of the shows and went into shops while Hannah, Nicholas and hubby went on the rides there. We were there when they opened until closing. It was okay but the kids said it was not WDW. :lmao: The map was really hard to read too so got turned around quite a bit.

I fell in love with the Alabama cowboy singing in one of the shows....he had a deep voice and was very cute!! I could have sat and watched him all day.

Can someone tell me what Chicken fried Steak is? I had some for lunch thinking it was chicken...it is not.

We are going to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede tonight for the dinner show.

Mony-- Sorry Tim needs more surgery. I will keep praying for him and your family.

Pumba-- still praying for you family and that poor baby. Hope all turns out well.

Chicken Fried Steack is a thin sliced sirlon or lesser quality steck that is beaten till tender an then battered an fried...why they call it that I dont know...I bet DtD would know ...he is at the State Fair all week Starting today

Hi MP! have fun at the beach. Why bring a pack-n-play when you can use an old wagon or beach chair or trash can? ;)

Hi NAB- thanks for the quickie trip report! I bet you love the Dixie Stampede. It was my favorite thing I saw in Branson. My girls were completely enchanted... we saw the Christmas version which has elves and ice skaters and even a Nativity in addition to the horse tricks and races.

Chicken fried steak is steak that is fried with a chicken type breading. How funny you thought it was chicken! My husband likes to order that at McCrackerHut.

Our local Cracker Barrel is next to our closest McDonald's. We rarely eat at Cracker Barrel but often go to McD's (dollar menuaire I am). Anyway we recently (3 months ago) took our entire crew to Cracker Barrel. Later one daughter was commenting... "I sure did enjoy that McCrackerHut restaurant":rotfl:

Feel free to use it too. ;)

For some reason we are watching the Olympics on the Korean channel. :confused3 I depend on the commentary to help me make intelligent remarks because I know nothing about most sports.
Now it is our family lexicon.

.

The wagon he can climb out of.

A chair he can climb off of

A trash can might work, but I figure a pack n play might offer more breeze than a trash can. lol

Evening, everyone. TG it's the weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BH - Do you know if the antique mall's bone cancer was primary or metastatic? I always wonder when I hear that sort of thing. Ugh. Cancer sucks. I see you've been reading that TR that Twink recommended. It has been a goog one so far.

Lex - I haven't ever been to French Lick, IN, I've just laughed at the sign whilst passing by the exit :lmao:

Pumba - Thanks for keeping us posted about Brielle

Twink - McCrackerHut??! :rotfl: Hope you're going somewhere a little nicer for your anniversary! Have a happy one :)

MommyP - I'm jealous to hear you're going to the beach. I still haven't been this summer. Maybe I will go this weekend if the weather cooperates. Have a fun trip!

Nabbie - Sounds like you're having lots of fun even though it's not Disney!!! I've never been to either place. Maybe someday . . .

I called WDW this afternoon to see if I could change my December reservations around a bit, but they had NO rooms available for the first two days except for a Saratoga Springs 1 BR for $380 a night :scared1: So I ended up booking at the Dolphin for days 1-5, All Star Movies for days 3-5, and kept my Pop reservation for days 6-8. I'm thinking I'll probably cancel the ASM if I can't somehow switch to have all the days at a value resort. The reservation person said to try again periodically in case there's a cancellation. I'm kicking myself for not calling sooner :guilty:

Moo, are you going to be there around the same time as Mony in December?
Maybe we could all meet up one day.

Wow, Michael Phelps just won his 7th gold by 1/100 of a second:thumbsup2

We had a great surprise baby shower for the boss today, he had no idea. He had a one on one scheduled with one of the guys in the office, and his job was to stretch it out as long as he could and then get to to a secret location on the way to our "Team meeting". Co-worker asked things like,
"so, how is the wife feeling? Did the baby drop yet? Are you going to induce or just wait?"
Which is really funny, since the co-worker is a BIG Chinese single guy in his early 20's, LOL, who knows nothng of child birth.
We had premade sandwiches from Publix, chips, Olives, cake, deviled eggs, decorations. (we all chipped in).
And presents, of course.
Having waited till the last minute to get a gift, I stopped at Walmart on my way to work this morning. It's a new (SUper) one that is right on my way to work. I have only been there once. So they have big signs on the buildings, mostly labeled in 3 sections. So I found a parking spot right in the middle, to dash in and out for a gift card. Little did I know they don't have an entrance in the middle section, GRRRR!

So I asked where I can get a gift card, and after some running around, I found them. I was amazed, they had cards for Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden, and a host of other places there. But I found a cute Walmart card with little pink baby booties on it and got that. Rounded up an envelope at work, and my shopping was done! (Did I mention I hate to shop?).

DD is home safe and sound from Texas tonight!!

Attn: TWILIGHT readers!
I am on page 132 of Breaking Dawn right now, and so far like it the best of all. But I have a question (I probably skimmed the earlier books).
BUT, HOW do the vampires have all that money????? Only Carlisle holds down a job, and it cant possibly pay for all that stuff :confused3

What did I miss?????????

Have a great weekend, everyone!!

ETA: Knitfreak had a great first date last weekend with a guy from a dating site that lasted from Friday night to Sunday afternoon, and she was headed to Tampa tonight to meet up for the weekend. He is from Nepal!!!! Never heard of anyone from Nepal around these parts. ANyway, she was all excited. She just turned 37, and her goal is to get married and have a baby by the time she is 40. So if you can send her some pixie dust, it would be appreciated!
And of course she knitted a baby blanket for the shower today!
