Hello, Moovers!

We are back tonight and all went great. Aliie, Alabame was, well, Alabama :rotfl: We saw a lot more of than planned on the return trip than planned of the way back country roads, both there and Georgia

Anyway, all was great, report and pics tomorrow.

I spent 8 1/2 in the car today after getting up 6:30 this morning. I will try to upload pics tomorrow. I only got a few on our old digital, most are on DH's and DD's. DH's card I can get I'm sure, DD's I might have to pry from her. Or take it while she is at work, Mu'HAHA!!!!!!
Unfortunately I have to do it my desktop, this sucky work PC doen't have a slot for cards.

Anyway, more tomorrow!

Welcome Home Marita! :grouphug:

Yeah, Alabama ain't much to write home about when you live next to the Mouse! :rotfl:

Glad you had a nice trip and that your son survived and graduated from Basic training. How long does he have before he moves on to the next phase of his training?

Thanks, Mony!

He is here tonight and leaves Saturday evening or Sunday morning to report to San Antonio, TX. Pretty much a 3 day drive. He has 10 days from today to get there and find an apartment and report in. Although he pllans to check in Monday, because then he doesnt have to use any leave, if he chicks in Tuesday, it counts as 3 days of leave (sat, Sun and Mon). Don;t ask me, that Gov't math! :confused3

Anyway, DD is driving up with him to take turns driving, and she is all excited abouting helping to set up his apartment. Off-Base, YEEHAW!

Hi , Lynette and Moo...I have been MIA in Bowling Green an finally at my dads house using his computer....did you watch the SYTYCD Show tonight?I hope Joshua and Kattie win Or is there just One winner of the foor? IF just one out of the 4 finalist then I hope Kattie wins it all....:rolleyes1:

Welcome home, Marita!!!!! Glad you had a safe trip. It must be great to have your DS at home...even for a few days.

Hound, all the dancers did really well tonight. Cat Deeley did a brief sit-down with each of the 4 dancers, after which I decided that Twitch is the most deserving and has the best attitude toward the competition. Plus, he's shown the most growth throughout the season too. Listening to the 4 of them talk about their experiences, I got teary eyed (I cry VERY easily!). Such a wonderful opportunity for them all! The winner will be revealed tomorrow...just one person. My DD is still hoping for Katee, but my DS and I have our fingers crossed for Twitch. We shall see...............

Twink and MommyP, I always thought that wearing my babies was pretty darn convenient too. (Plus, they're probably the cutest accessories I've ever had! ;) ) It worked especially well for Natasha, who was never happy unless she had a really good vantage point from which to watch whatever was going on around her.

Hi Pumba, Allie, Moo, Mony, NAB and Cel, plus all you other regulars!

Oh, before I head off to bed, I wanted to post a link to a story I saw on the 6:00 news about a "Redneck Stonehenge". I wonder if Wendy has seen this monstrosity, since it's in her neck of the woods....

Okay, gotta git myself to bed! See y'all tomorrow!

Hey, Marita!!! Welcome home :grouphug: Glad your trip went well and you got to do some reading. Looking forward to pics!

Talked with DD tonight and she has a phone interview soon for a cooperative extension service job with a university and a couple other potential prospects that sounds interesting. So, hopefully, things are looking up. Prayers would be appreciated! She's going to visit some school friends in Chapel Hill and DC before she comes home.

BH and Lynette - Hubby's home so I didn't get a chance to see SYTYCD tonight. You'll have to keep me posted on who wins :)

I have a work-related meeting tomorrow evening, so I probably won't be around unless I have a chance to check in while riding in the car.

Tomorrow is the last night of the show...4 finalist ...one winner ...if you get the chance watch it...you will NOT be sorry

Thanks, Moo

Prayers for your DD's job!

Marita over and out for the night!

GOOD MORNING!

Sorry I haven't been around for a coupla days. I just can't get up early enough in the morning to read and post. I've been waking up around 7 every morning which is REALLY sleeping in by lexmelinda standards.

Mostly I'm just getting to bed late being late summer and all. The Most Wonderful Day of the Year is next Wednesday here so I can't wait to get back in the routine of going to bed at 8:30.

Monica.....   That was on the June 10th report!?!?!!! I'm furious. When do you see the doctor?

MommyP
....Cute baby, duds!

DTD....I like your friend's Hilltopper room. My cousin doesn't have lots of memorabilia....just lots of WKU decorating in a very cool room. I'll ask him about the Big Guy. ;)

Moo....Thanks for missing me.

Twinkie.....Next year! It's a date! :thumbsup2

Marita....Can't wait to see your pictures.

NAB....I'd love to go to Lake Placid! Have fun! Hope you get some wireless there too.

WT......

Wendee & Celery....Are you finished with Breaking Dawn? Mimi takes it everywhere she goes so I can't even get my hands on it!

Lynette, BNCG, Peej, Hound, Pumba, everybody
......:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Morning. I decided that the Urologist made a mistake, realized it, and instead of fessing up, said, I want you too see an oncologist as a precaution. I'm over being upset, cause I think that makes Tim upset, so I am just moving on.
It doesn't change anything. I don't like surprises like that.

Welcome back Marita. I wish I could sit in the car, be a passenger, and read. Nope, I get carsick in the first 20 seconds.

Lynette: That was a funny story. I give that guy props.

Lexy: I am reading Breaking Dawn too. I'm just about 400 pages into it. It's hard to find the time to read.

DH comes home today!!! Single momhood was pretty ok, this time.

Today is the official start of Football for my son. They get their equipment today. He's playing tackle. Zachary. :scared:

I bought Mals new dance outfit, this time with a skirt and PINK! She's worn it for the last 2 days. She wanted to sleep in it, but it needs to be washed.

Have a great day!

Lynette - That is too priceless. Why do people move into or build houses around something they don't want to live by? Stupid people I tell ya. Here there is a upscale neighborhood that wants the dump closed down. Why? Because you can see it, and smell it too I'd imagine, from their backyards. Well, the dumps been there as long as my life and that neighborhood is only a few years old. People are just SO stupid in this country.

My ring slings should come today or tomorrow so I can get my sling finished. Yay! I can't wait to post pictures, it's so pretty!!

What exactly is "cruising" Twinkie?

Isaac pushes around Kaleb's huge monster truck now. He can get that thing going on his knees. lol. It's bigger than him.

If that redneck stonehenge doesn't break county codes, then I <3 Utah! We had to go through so much red tape and stupid rules to get our privacy fence up at the little house.

Hmmmm....must be back to school day ....next Wensday? Ours went back to school this past Tuesday(county schools) :woohoo: NO MORE LATE NIGHTS!!!

It's never too late to start babywearing. It is so convenient for going out, especially grocery shopping when you have another little one to put in the front seat of the cart. It is also very nice for WDW! At his age I would recommend either a ring sling or mei tai. I'm not too thrilled with wearing him on my back in the mei tai. The straps make my fat defined. Which is NOT cool. :rotfl: I usually wear him on my front which is super comfy. I also LOVE ring slings. I think I am mostly a ring sling girl at heart. I'm in the process of making a hybrid pouch ring sling. Just waiting for my rings. I have another length of the fabric that can only be made into a pouch hybrid ring sling, if you're interested. Just let me know. I can whip it up in no time.

Isaac just got his first tooth 2 days ago.

Ok- that post was like reading a foreign language. I can imagine the advantages of having your baby close at hand while still having your hands. I do know that I don't want anything that makes my fat defined. :scared: I'll send you a PM oh ring-sling-girl.

Congrats on that first tooth!

Talked with DD tonight and she has a phone interview soon for a cooperative extension service job with a university and a couple other potential prospects that sounds interesting.

I think working for extension would be a great job. Medium pay, great benefits and you really get to help people. I have considered taking one before twinkies.

Sorry I haven't been around for a coupla days. I just can't get up early enough in the morning to read and post. I've been waking up around 7 every morning which is REALLY sleeping in by lexmelinda standards.

1. late my lexmelinda standards cracked me up- I need to get on lexmelinda hours. Afternoon kindergarten gave me plenty of time in the mornings.
2. Yea!

Have fun with your football players and ballet dancers!

What exactly is "cruising" Twinkie?

Cruising = Walking but only when hanging on to stable things like furniture. When the twins were little we had a small house with lots of furniture so they could cruise around easily. They learned to walk at my parents house (huge rooms, not much furniture) at 9 months. Now Goldenchild cruised for exactly 1 hr one day. He accidently let go of the couch and walked to the middle of the living room. It was a scence straight out of road runner comics... there he is WALKING and he looks down and gets scared and falls over. Of course he was almost 7 months at the time. Grasshopper is 8 months and has just started cruising. He is more interested in steps which he has mastered... at least the going up part. Also he is first twinkie-child to suck a finger so he is more content.

Wait- did you mean the practice of going on vacation on a big ship where people make your bed, and bring you drinks, and you see beautiful places and eat obscene amouts of wonderful food?????

I know nothing about that. ;)

No this is more like it...I could so be all over this last week when it was so hot you didnt want to walk to the mail box(this weekend its finally cooling down for awhile)...lol

MommyP: Very cute material and you are soooo crafty.

definately cute! You are inspiring! and wendy too!
I won tickets to a concert today on my way home. All I heard was if you like 80's call in to win, so I tried and I did!

Only problem is it's the day before we leave for disney. Go figure.
good news bad news - that just aint right!

Hated. HATED. HATED the EMG.
ouch
I literally was electrocuted and stuck like a pin cushion.

AND!!!!

I picked up Tim's films for his upcoming apts next week with the new Dr.s Inside his bone scan films was a report, so I read it.

DATED JUNE 10TH

This complete write up about a lesion found on his 8th lower rib approx. 1 cm and HIGHLY concern of Metastases (that's when cancer spreads)

This just angered me to the nth level. I glad we know now what is going on, but to be told by the Urologist that nothing showed up on the bone scan, is inexcusable when it's there in black and white.

I'm gonna be stewing for a couple of days over this. Sorry if I get on your nerves.

that aint right. I'll be angry with you! *sigh

Oh Mony, I'm so sorry! So that was dated BEFORE his surgery, right? Someone's got some 'splainin to do. :rolleyes1 I'm going to check out your report. Just realize that I'm very behind on the one's I'm already signed up for. I'll try to keep up. ;)

Sandy - I was :scared1: when I read about Tim. I'm so glad he's ok. Tell him I send well wishes. :goodvibes

Alli - you always remember me!! :goodvibes :goodvibes Thank you!
Marita
- You should be getting back tonight. How didya like Alabama? How was the graduation? Didya cry? I'm sure DS was handsome.

I got a PIN code in an email last week. Wish I could use it. I'm trying to plan a trip to NYC for Fall Break, but the airfare is :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: . Maybe I should just call and see what Disney has to say? :rolleyes1
we got one too - but it was in my mom's name, but they said I could use it - $400 savings!!
Oh, and I got the kids off on their appropriate buses today. :yay: I can't wait to ask DS how his first day of high school was. I was nervous for him, but didn't tell him. We have so many kids here that they can't go to high school until 10th grade. Although, our high school has been ranked very high in many publications, so I guess it is worth the wait. He'll be getting a goog education.

Of course, they don't tell them what school supplies they need until the first day of school. :headache: Guess I'll be running to THE WalMart or Staples before church tonight.

School starts Aug something - 19 they visit, 20 we visit with them - then there is an hour day, then school starts!! whatever - DD wants to confuse her teachers roflol she wants to spell her name differently in every class and change it up a lot!! LOL guess she is looking forward to jr hi!
Cel
- Did Breadman come to H'ville for a visit? Is he gonna work here?
Interesting Cel -
MommyP - That is too cute to be burped on. ;) Goog job! :thumbsup2

Moo
- My son came home from his Mission Trip in IN talking about this store called Meijer. He was very impressed, and that's saying alot coming from a teenage boy. I think their host family let them go pick out some goodies to munch on. ;)

That is too funny!
BBN
- My son also LOVED Ky Kingdom. They always get to do something fun after their Mission Trip. So that was their "fun" activity. Hope DH had a marvelous birthday.
