We had yet another major storm last night and lost my internet today. It started at 9:00 and knocked out the power.

I tell you some of the cracks of thunder made me jump. Our rain out game for tonight it rained out again because the field flooded and had broken branches in the park.

Celery-- I couldn't drink that much water either. But like Lynette said you look great!

Mony-- we went in August and it was really hot then, even though I thought Sept was worse. We loved our spray bottles. They were a pain to carry but you will have that fabulous stroller to carry stuff.

That sounds like wuckety (TMLynt) weather, Nab!

I am so dang tired. I made the mistake of calling the boss this afternoon, and he saddled me we a task that sounded easy, but is turning out to be a bear! And I dont want to do it anymore tonight. I might finish it tomorrow on my vacation day (Blech!).
Said vacation day was intended to clean the house, most notably the kitchen floor!

Someone please post the Happy Working song, or send me birds and other critter assistants STAT!

Hubby made a frozen pizza this afternoon, but I am not in the mood for pizza. I am going to make another chicken a la king, LOL. I guess that is my current kick. (I am trendy that way - weeks on end of the same thing......)
WHY oh why do I want to cook instead of heating up a slice of Pizza???? :confused3

Your kids (twins soonishly) or other kids? LOL
:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
KIDS IN MY CLASS!!!!!!

Very true. I'm just bitter cuz you decided to move to loo-uh-vull instead of nashvegas. :sad1:

marita - the kids in her CLASS!!!!! :teacher:
It's a sad state of affairs when Cel has to explain things to people. Snark.

1. Okay, let's nix Consuelo and substitute Nunzio. Howzat? (See how flexible I can be?)

2. Yep...she IS fun to be around. I can vouch for her on that one. ::yes::
1. I worked with a guy named Kirvio from the Dominican Republic last summer. I also wore his nametag this winter. Because I totally look like a Kirvio. Anyway, can we add Kirvio into the mix??

2. Quite the little suck up, aren't you?

Morning.

Went to dinner yesterday with some friends and one of them won $727.00 in the pull tab tickets.

She won the 500 in the first purchase and the 200 in the third purchase and several little ones in between.

I rubbed up against her for some good luck.

I never buy those things. I don't have any good luck.

Have a great day!
So, is your friend going to share the wealth with you??

GOOOD MORNING?

Woke up late and it's raining. Stayed up til 3ish waiting for Mimi to get home. She and some friends went to Cincinnati yesterday for an all day concert. Turns out she got home around 7:30 then went to her boyfriend's apartment and fell asleep watching a movie. Kids.

Went to the performance for the workshop Emily did on Monday with Laura Bell Bundy who is a hometown girl from Lexington. Thought it would last a half hour and it lasted 2 hours.

Now I'm exhausted for the new job.

Everybody have a great day!
What was the concert in Cincy? Which reminds me...Kenny Chesney is in Cincy tonight. I am going to cry real tears!! I want to go soooo bad!!!!! I just can't get home in the middle of the night and then have to be alert from 8:30-4:30 tomorrow. Not to mention gas is $18,000/gallon. It just wasn't meant to be. Sigh.

As if this needed backing up, but ok, I back you up.

p.s. see above.

p.s.s I'm not falling for whatever trickery you and Snarkgirl are cooking up.

p.s.s.s. Glad you had a nice day. LooUhVull is a great little big town.
What a pal.
p.s.s. Oh, but you are. Trust me, by the time I finish giving you my spiel you'll be sold.
p.s.s.s. I think you might enjoy this story from today which proved I am really not from here....
They give us breakfast every morning. So I'm sitting next to this girl and she's eating these bizarre looking biscuits and I'm like "why are you putting ranch dressing on your biscuit???" She looked at me like I was insane and then explained to me that it was gravy. I still say y'all are the freaks. Biscuits should have butter on them. Or maybe jam.

So far, I have managed to finish all my work, pay all my bills online, read and answer my emails, and drink 3 large iced lattes. :hyper: I can't wait to get home and really get some stuff done! w00t!
I love that you include drinking caffeinated beverages in your list of accomplishments.

Yikes on the storm!! And no internet is never a goog thing.

I'm off to go get lost aka go running. Wish me luck.

NAB Sorry to hear your power and internet went out again. Too bad they don't deduct all these service outages from your bill! You have had quite a few lately.

Sis It's a bummer that you got stuck with a tough, time consuming job right before your ten days off. I hope you make a break through and get it finished quickly so you can relax and enjoy your vacation. You've been under a lot of pressure lately.

Cel Do you have to drink plain old water? Or can it be flavored stuff like ice tea and lemonade?

Hi all :wave2:

Cel Do you have to drink plain old water? Or can it be flavored stuff like ice tea and lemonade?

I can only count it if it's sugar free or caffeine free. which doesn't leave a lot .:sad2:

peej - WTH??? Don't they have gravy in Cincy :sad2:

Lyn: I've never gone to WDW in this heat. What was the one best item you brought or wish you had brought?

Hmm.......I'm honestly not much for souvenirs. I'm more of a picture gal. I take LOADS of pictures! And I was constantly chasing the PhotoPass people around the parks too. Oh, and food! I basically ate my way around the World!

1. Okay, cat name....take 35: Oliver Kirvio Garcia de Marquez Peejarina the Proud.

Yes?

No?

2. Don't make me hurt you, little one.

3. I'm with you on the biscuits and gravy. I fail to see the connection. Butter...yes! Jam....possibly. Gravy.....whaaaaaat? :confused3

Lex, I know you see what I mean about DD's super late nights :headache: Hope you made it through your work day OK.

Marita, sorry you got a wuckety assignment. But. You're technically on vacation now. w00t!!!

Nabbie - Looks like you're not getting rotten weather from the mitten for once! Being Internetless is no fun at all.

Lynette and Wendy - Is that dang Scrabble game back up yet??!

I can attest to how much flavored water Cel drinks! faint: And she got lots of exercise visiting all the restrooms at WDW, hee hee.

Peejkirvio - I'm sorta with you regarding gravy on biscuits, unless there's chunks of Bob Evan's sausage in that gravy. Otherwise, I prefer butter and honey. Mmmmm.

We broke a record this year for rain in July. We have now gotten more then July 1988 which I don't remember.... They do say August will be better with no rain. I will have to wait and see about that.

Marita -- I have noticed you go on food kicks. I would be lazy and make the pizza.

Moo-- glad you are not getting this weather. When does you dd come home or she home now?

Lynette-- I am like you, I love my pictures. If it wasn't for the kids I probably wouldn't bring much back.

Sis[/B] It's a bummer that you got stuck with a tough, time consuming job right before your ten days off. I hope you make a break through and get it finished quickly so you can relax and enjoy your vacation. You've been under a lot of pressure lately.

I finished half of what I was supposed to do (year-to-date) which was much more time consuming than expected, and then decided to dump the month of July on Asst #2, if needed.
I told them the status and said, Marita, over and OUT!
So tmorrow I get to scrub the kitchen floor!

Well, I made my chicken a la king. I put some toast in the toaster and sat down in the living room. Of course the toast burnt!!
So I put 2 more slices in and turned the heat back up on the chicken to keep it hot
Toast was fine (barely).

So I finished eating dinner and thought, hmmm, what is that noise? Is it raining? Nope!
Yep, I left the a la king on the heat, and it was bubbling away like mad!
I think I salvaged most of it, I will have to see. I scooped the top off into a dish and threw the rest away.

I think it's time to close my eyes for a while........

Lynette-- I am like you, I love my pictures. If it wasn't for the kids I probably wouldn't bring much back.

Prezackly, NAB! The kids bought some toys, t-shirts, and some other stuff, but I don't think I bought anything except for some Mickey-head cookie cutters (at Natasha's request) and a ginormous coffee mug (for me...surprising, right?). I actually looked for an oversized hoodie for myself (since my office is like a meat locker from mid-September thru Memorial Day), but didn't find anything that was yelling my name, if you know what I mean.

I can attest to how much flavored water Cel drinks! faint: And she got lots of exercise visiting all the restrooms at WDW, hee hee.

Having the park maps memorized comes in handy when you need the bathroom every 2.5 seconds! ::yes::

Big L - I think mony meant things you packed that you couldn't live without - or things you WISHED you'd packed.

Nabbie - DD comes home at the end of August! :cool1:

I just realized today that I missed out on my free birthday chicken dinner at Zehnder's. Valid only during your birthday month. We usually only think of going there when it's cold outside.

Moo-- to bad you missed your free dinner. But the gas to get there would have probably been more then your meal....

Lynette-- I wish they would make there clothes just a tad bit bigger there. I wanted a Halloween shirt when we were there in Sept but the XL was more like a meduim. :sad2:

Last edited by NAB : Today at 08:31 PM. Reason: Marita did you set off your smoke detectors with the burned toast.....

No, I didn't burn it that bad!

I jut got another email from work with more budget changes.
YAY team, go take care of it, I won't be around!:cool1:

we had four or so thunder showers today......they kept on going around and around and around and around..........poor Megara was scared to death...panting and huffing .she was terrified........I finally got her calmed down and dear Jacob (rug rat) came by and made the sound of the whipping cream can.......swishhhhhhhh........well she ran like you know what.......but that is my fault.....a few weeks ago she wanted to taste my whipping cream I had...so I put it down and she came over to take a lick and I squished it out...OMG she ran faster then a bolt of lightening........and hid..

SO Marita please tell you son that his cyber aunties and uncles all wish him the best and we are so proud of him......whaaaaaaaaaaaa......it is really emotional....I know.....

So true about the cost of the gas to drive to Frankenmuth, Nabbie!

Gas was down around 3.70 for a few days, but now I see it's creeping back up again.

Pumba - My corgi LOVED whipped cream!!! He would come running whenever he heard it and expect me to give him a little. He could catch it in mid-air when he was younger, but when he got older I would just squirt a little on the floor and he would lap it right up.

Hey there mooovers!

My oldest started his first real job today. Landscaping service. I kept thinking about him all day.

I need a nap.

:hippie:

SO Marita please tell you son that his cyber aunties and uncles all wish him the best and we are so proud of him......whaaaaaaaaaaaa......it is really emotional....I know.....

Thanks, Pumba !

yes, it will be emotional. Mostly because he will get to fly which he always wanted, and he was SOOOO determined to make it. A long hard journey ( I know, I have belabored it, LOL).
We won't leave till 7 am :faint: Monday morning, so I will be around for 3 more days. I will probably take my laptop, not sure about internet access though. We shall see..

Big L - I think mony meant things you packed that you couldn't live without - or things you WISHED you'd packed.

Oh, in that case, I guess my Baggallini Messenger Bagg (to carry extra socks, bottled water and ponchos), my Crocs, and the mister fans were 3 things that I couldn't do without at the World.

Cel, that's twice in 2 days that you're clarifying (TM bbn) people's posts! Brava!
