Thanks, Cel

It's really killing me, he was so confident. He did great on all his tests.

Oh, on a good note, knitfreak thinks she may have found her breadman this weekend. He said he was deleting his profile after this weekend. But since I didnt go to work today, I dont know the details yet.

Marita - That stinks! I hope he figures out what he wants to do now.

Wendy - That's basically my "recipe" too. Although I don't use dry beans. It's canned all the way! ;o) And now that we only ever buy ground turkey it's not going to have red meat.

Save A Lot has 1lb packs of turkey for $1.19 so we use it for everything now. Turkey meatloaf is the best.

Chad's at school tonight. :(

hello.....I had a seven thirty am appointment at the eye doctors office and didnt get out of there until nine thirty. I could not see for another few hours and then went with my sister to her doctors appointment.....didnt do much of anything this afternoon ....just sat still......tonight went and got the lens that were off a little when they made them the last of August. they didnt measure my face.......so now I can see again.
My eye appointment went FANTASTIC.......no glaucoma drops ...and I go back in six months........I have done those dang drops for the last 15 or so years. AND now my pressure is normal....I am so excited.....the black I see on one side of my eyes is sometimes a normal occurance when there is a cataract operation....so I will live it with it and hopefully that is it....

Made another apple pie and I could eat the whole thing but I wont......anyone want a piece?

Hugs and prayers to those needing either or both ... (I can use the same :flower3: )

Coming right up! I can use them too. Actually, I think a lot of us could! :grouphug:

There is an update on the Nebo CB thread. Not so great either. Bad, actually.

Ooooo, Poom, I'll have a piece of pie, pleaseandthankyou!

Marita, so sorry that your son didn't pass the Navigation finals. Maybe God has other plans?

Wendell, that was THE longest post I've seen from you in quite some time! Good to see you feeling chatty! Hope that means that things are well with you.

MommyP and Wendell (again), I use canned beans for my chili too. We like it thick, thick, thick too....virtually no liquid. Delish! One of these days, I ought to write down what I actually put into the crockpot.

Hi Cel, MamaCel, NAB, Mony and everyone else!

We walked in our town's annual Parade of Horribles yesterday. It was 65 degrees and sunny...PERFECT weather for parading in costume! But...............

..........the weather is calling for possible SNOW showers on Wednesday! ACK! Can you believe it? I could plotz! It's WAAAAAAAAAAY too early for the hideous white stuff!

In other news, I had a Melinda sighting earlier today. She sent me a FB friend suggestion....NAB , that WAS you, wasn't it? Anyway, Melinda was alive and well and using Facebook earlier today. Just saying.

Yes that was me. She wrote a message to me as did Twinkie and Wendy but it says I only have one friend and that is Cheryl.:confused3 Was still have to find the rest of you...

Hannah got her Brownie pins and some badges tonight that I have to sew on by next week. They did some trick or treating thing too.

Marita-- Sorry about your son. Hope he finds something he loves even more but didn't know it.

Mony-- forgot to say loved the video and pictures but your camera date is all wrong. Hope your kids looked different when they were babies or they will be so confused like my sister and I.

4 years ago, DD asked me for a book of recipes. I made it all fancy, withlots of pictures (well, carricatures) or all the ingredients. It turned out great! A real keeper. Unfortunately, since then DD is not eating ANY of said recipes, diet and all. But it's still great, and a keeper. For whom I dont know, LOL!

NAB, I sent you a friend request when I got the message from Melinda. There should be a notice in the upper right hand corner of your FB homepage. ;)

Marita, Natasha has already begun making copies of her favorite recipes (banana bread, crunchy chicken, chocolate chip cookies......). She loves to cook, and likes the idea of having her own copies of those family recipes. Interesting, since she's not even allowed to use the microwave by herself yet. :rotfl:

Lynette-- ok now I see it ...duh. Woo hoo I have friends.

Marita-- the cook book sounds great. I should do that with my mom's recipes. She has them all in a binder but hand written and some are getting pretty faded. She knows them by heart now but we don't. That's were most of my Christmas cookies come from.

NAB, no "duh" involved! Facebook takes some getting used to. If you need any help, just shout, 'k?

Nab, the cookbook was really great. I added pictures of all the ingredeints, so it was (is) really colorful and fun.

I need to go back to facebook, I guess? I feel lost over there.

Great, I just tried to send a message to a person I dont know, who tried to add me as a friend. Message failed. I feel like an idiot!

Took me a while to be able to read tonight - my computer was a bit whacked out :confused3 Had to get rid of a tracking cookie and reboot.

Lil G, there was all kinds of Spartan green flying at work today  One of my bosses always bets with one of our big bosses and she gleefully hung a Spartan flag in his office this morning.

Wendy - NICE highlighting job there! :3dglasses

Marita - Sending a big hug :grouphug: I also have faith that the right thing will come along for your son.

Nabbie - Yay for figuring out FB :thumbsup2 It sure can be confusing at times. Other times it's just frustrating :rolleyes1

Pumba - That's great news about your eye appointment :)

Lynette - How'd you luck out and get warmish weather for your parade??! It's just been chilly and damp here. Waaaaah!

Miss you, Melindy - and Peej and bbn. Just to name a few.

Hope DTD and BH are having a great time!!!

Is anybody else getting sick of those Brooke Shields German engineering commercials? NOMarita

Moo, I guess we'll have to chalk it up to the crazy New England weather. It worked out well though....Natasha is dressing as a fairy this year, and the costume isn't exactly snuggly warm.

Moo- yes. About the german engineering commericals

Melinda, Peej, BBN, and any other lurkers/deer friends- :flower3:

MommyP- whoohoo on the tube top ;) Goog luck with the diaper cover thing. Us midwestern mamas always put our babies to bed in fleece (except for July and August). One layer should work pretty goog I would imagine. I know nothing about wool- my husband is allergic and we don't have any in the house.

Lalijack- The lying weather peeps say we should have high 60s for trick or treating. I freezed my astarstar off today so I bet it will be cold enough to require long johns underneath the frilly princess costumes.

Marita- so sorry about your son. I know he worked very hard.

NAB- facebook is super confusing to us non hott college chicks , don't worry... we all understand

Celery- don't sweat the small stuff, listen to your mama.... it is a scientific fact that the more you want/need a child to behave a certain way the more likely they will have a temper tantrum/infectious double pnuemonia/crying fit/puke in public/repeat how you really feel about Cousin Fred/all of the above
I highly reccomend the book "Parenting in the Pew" to anyone interested in teaching kids how to worship instead of assuming they will absorb by osmosis or from spongebob episodes ;)

Speaking of Spongebob- I actually watched a few minutes today because Goldenchild seriously needed some snuggle time. I laughed my head off.

Also I love Calvin & Hobbes. I think my favorite series is the "The Leaf Collection"....

So, Lynette - Will you be buying the Tinkerbell DVD that is coming out shortly?!!

Hope the weather behaves for ALL of our little trick or treaters.

I heard that nasty "s" word on the West Michigan news a few minutes ago. But they usually get hammered by the lake effect more than we do.

Somebody wrote a book on this? Genius!!!!

MommyP - Is there any way to just draw your pattern with one of those chalk markers or something on the recycled sweater so you can sew before you cut? Just a thought . . .

I think I would stick with the fleece.

I just had a long conversation with my BFF, and I thought of this song. So I thought I would pull a BBN or PJ and post a song. I thought this would apply to my other online friends too (in a non-creepy way)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PY45DkaP9Ls

No New Year's Day to celebrate
No chocolate covered candy hearts to give away
No first of spring
No song to sing
In fact here's just another ordinary day

No April rain
No flowers bloom
No wedding Saturday within the month of June
But what it is, is something true
Made up of these three words that I must say to you

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart

No summer's high
No warm July
No harvest moon to light one tender August night
No autumn breeze
No falling leaves
Not even time for birds to fly to southern skies

No Libra sun
No Halloween
No giving thanks to all the Christmas joy you bring
But what it is, though old so new
To fill your heart like no three words could ever do

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care, I do
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care, I do
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart, of my heart,
of my heart

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care, I do
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart, of my heart,
baby of my heart

So uh, my mom called me today at like noon to wish me Happy Anniversary, and I was dumbfounded because I forgot all about it.

I even wrote the date 4 times and entered all the payments from the parents today and noting tipped me off.

I looked at Tim feeling like a heal and he said, I remembered this morning and then I forgot about it later.

Yes, we are just your average happily married couple............:rolleyes1

It was 13 years today that we married. On that note, I'm done studying and I need to sleep.

Mony, dont feel bad! I got home last year to a big vase of roses for my 37th, which I totally forgot about!! I said, oh wait, it is October 17??? I dont even know what if anything happened this year. I guess I better remember 40 in a couple of years, IF we are still married :rolleyes1

Oh wait, he got me 3 yellow roses in a vase, I got him nothing! (OK, im NOT proud)

Mony - That happened to us one year. My Mom called me to wish me a happy anniversary and my Dad said it to Chad at work. lol. We both forgot.

Twinkie - We have that book on our book shelf at church, so it must be really good. We just haven't read that exact one.

They aren't allowed to draw during church, they can however take notes, copy pages from the bible(that's what Jeremiah does) or practice their letters. :rotfl:

I am LOVING this cool weather! Today's high is 69.

I think I am going to my Mom's today, but yesterday my Brother was running a fever, so I don't know how he's doing.

I am officially trying to kick the caffeine habit because I've been having pretty bad chest pains again and almost had a panic attack in church on Sunday. :sad2: I will miss my coffee. Not that I care about the caffeine, I just drank to socialize with others.
