Just wanted to pop back in to say we are comfortably settled in our hotel room after visiting with our daughter and giving her her graduation gift (a new lens for her camera and a few other little things). We have connecting rooms with my sis and her friend which makes life easier!

Dinner was Papa John's pizza delivery because it was the easiest.

We're going to Breadmen's restaurant for breakfast tomorrow so I can get a pic for Cel!

Marita - I can toadily relate to having an adult child living with you. It IS easier when they're really living on their own in some ways.

Difficulty breathing when you have bronchitis definitely has its downsides. Like not being able to sleep much. And waking up before Lex.

I figured an early dose of meds might help, along with some extra fluids and trying extra strength Mucinex instead of codeinated cough syrup. I'm also testing the bronchodilating ability of Lipton bottled ice tea.

After having a great conversation with a good friend last night and probably being up way later than I should have been doing it, I am already feeling good today. Hope everyone else is also.

It is cool except I kicked myself twice yesterday. First, I wished I had taken my camera down to the lunch room (though I honestly don't know if I would have taken pictures -- probably would have felt dorkish) because the cupcake serving table had a display that looked awesome. It was kind of a Cinderella's castle motif with the cupcakes fully integrated into it. Anyway, hard to explain which is why I wished I had taken a pic. Second, I worked until 8:15 last night and could have gone down into the commons area and taken all the pictures I wanted but I bypassed that area and took the quicker route out of the building instead. Part of the theming is three LCD screens that have been showing clips from Disney movies and speakers play the accompanying songs/soundtrack so, when in that area, I get to hear Disney music each day this week also.

Thank you Lex. My in-laws are lovely people who did an excellent job raising my husband. They would give us the shirts off their backs if we really needed them. We are in 100% agreement that the assorted twinkie children are smart, attractive and above average in every way.

They brought my MIL's sister for a visit since we never get "down home" anymore. She really enjoyed Goldenchild and confirmed he is his dad all over again.

Ironically the topic of conversation was how their MILs caused mayhem and their general "ugliness" (for non Southerners- ugliness does not refer to your looks but to your behavior).


Sobering thought of the day: I will most likely BE a MIL in the next decade.


Moo- I hope you feel better ASAP! Sick on vacation is no fun.
Celery- Tell us everything!
Rob- Does your employer need anyone whose skill set consists of being able to change a poopy diaper with only one wipe?

Let's see, the last time I lived at home was for about 2 weeks last summer at which point I went completely out of my mind insane and decided to move down to Orlando with Hollywood for the summer. I made that decision one day and left to make the 16 hour drive the next day with no clue as to whether I would have a job, whether Hollywood's roommates would like me staying with her, etc. It was a desperate situation! So yes, I suppose I can relate!

I'm off to run errands. Then someone really should pack up this apartment. The roommates and I did do the family room last night which wasn't too bad, and I think now we're going to move into the kitchen. Oh joy.

This is day 12 of work in a row. But got my first second check. And I am taking a day off next week. Or the next. I can't keep it straight. I'm working lots in the evening now at both places. But this weekend is all mornings.

Mony, was your kiddie lit course more of a marathon like mine was? Had to read and critique 139 children's books including at least 10 Newberry books. Plus I had to write a kiddie book, do an in class story time(I did Brer Rabbit and the Briar patch. Ah the 70's) and a couple of 6 page papers. Still, it was one of the few textbooks I kept. I was strictly elem ed. What was the essay ??

Morning all,

This is the first day I can actually type with that cut finger, it must be on the mend.

My kitchen guy was suppose to come today and finish most of the work but is MIA !!! Even the place that hired him does not know where he is or if he is coming back! They told me to stay home until 1:00 in case he shows up. If not they will send someone new, maybe next week ! Hannah's First Communion is next weekend....I have 36 people coming after church. We have no powder room right now it is just a nice floor and painted.... The ceiling in the kitchen needs repainted or touched up because someone hit something up there and it had to be filled in.

Can you tell I am freaking out !!! I put some things in the kitchen cabinets but some need to be adjusted and fixed so those I can't do yet.

I want to be at Disney right now......

Hope he has a great birthday!! The cake sounds great. Nicholas got a chocolate fudge one from the grocery store. But he didn't care it is chocolate after all.

Trying to decide what do about cake next weekend. I will get one for the Communion either a bible one or sheet cake with a flowers in the shape of a cross. But is also her birthday so I was going to get her a birthday cake besides but after Nicholas birthday cake I think I will be caked out. I guess I could send the left over home with everyone.

Moo-- Hope your feeling better. Get to an E.R. if it gets really bad.

Celery-- Are you still bored? Get yourself a nap, your on vacation after all.

Donald -- sounds like you well need a vacation too!! Don't burn yourself out.
