Moo....glad to hear it's green there now! It was 65 when I woke up then it dropped 10 degrees mid morning and now it's sunny 65 again? :confused3

So I decided to cut the grass. And it's tall. Really tall. Because DH has not cut the backyard grass....which is his job. He does not deserve me. I take out the trash, cut the grass, clean the house, do the laundry, pay the bills (with my money), and take care of the kids and all their needs. Who needs a DH? :confused3

Vent over. I feel better.

Lexi, take a deep breath, have an adult beverage, and REFUSE to hand over the computer to anyone!

Be aware that that Sarah Marshall movie has some full frontal male nudity in it . . . it is the guy from How I Met Your Mother, I heard.

Wendy, getting sick from sugar is almost like having a non-surgical gastric bypass  I kinda wish I had that problem.

Thanks for the heads-up, er, warning, Moo!!!!

It IS a handy curse to have getting sick from too much sugar!

you are to funny ......I resisted the second piece.......YOU SEE we had to have a 4th birthday party for Megara.......although she didnt get any chocolate cake ....she did get a few licks of an ice cream cone.....she would eat anything.

HA!!!! Megara's gonna have some serious POOH in a couple hours! :scared:

Second choice, get a riding mower and do it with an Ipod and an adult beverage!

Lex! Vent away!!! I'm like Wendy, I don't mow. Never have and hope to never have to :scared:

It's still chilly here, only 55.

I suppose I should get a little ambition and do something this evening.

I am with you, Moo. Thinking of doing the parboiling and cutting of cabbage tonight so I can get rid of the pots and get that part over with.
And I DO have a small TV in the kitchen to keep me enterained while doing cooking chores.

I am trying to give myself a pep-talk here......

OK, cabbages are parboiled ( I think) and cooling in strainers. Remains to be seen if it's enough to peel off the leaves.

Onions are chopped too, So, WOOHOO, a part of big cooking chore for tomorrow done (maybe, if they are cooked enough)

Random observation:

They are still showing "Flip this House" on TLC, (to make a huge profit) a year after the bottom fell out of the housing market :confused3

ATTENTION PEEJ! (cuz she's probably the only one who cares)

Celebrity sightings at the street festival -
I chatted for awhile with Kimberly Williams and saw baby Paisley.
She gave me and Bridget advice on a kind of tea they were selling in a store - it uses dried flowers, so if you get a clear glass teapot, while it's steeping it opens the flower buds -
I was saying I wanted it but didn't want to have to buy the clear teapot.
She said she did a shower one time and steeped them in wine glasses.
so I bought three bags!
woo!
anyway, she's TINY! She needs to eat a sammich!
But she's adorable and her eyes are incredible.
The baby is too cute, but looks like Brad and not her.
hee.

I didn't take riley this morning because I wanted to go in all the stores - so I'm taking him now for the evening festivities.

3) Then by all means, swing by and pick me up. We can sing "Life is a Highway" ALL THE WAY TO ORLANDO!!!

6) and who is Riley? :confused3 I'm new so I don't know all things yet. :flower3:

I'll be there at 4 on May 8th!
Riley is my westie. he's my baby!
here's some pics:

Ha! that last one isn't really him.

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

I may have lost the computer forever. DH learned that he can watch all the netflix movies he wants for free online. The netflix thing is really working out by the way and saves us from all the dreaded late fees at the video store.
Surely he won't be watching movies at the time of morning that you post!

NO, I didn't get him anything "special". I got him what he really wanted :upsidedow . A Weed Whacker :rotfl2: WHO buys lawn equipment for a birthday? Plus a Nintendo DS game he wanted. Plus the better-than-"pie"-cake. The best cake ever. I had the tiniest Barbie-sized sliver and it made me kinda sick due to the extreme sugar but it was worth it, I tell you what.
Really. Everyone knows that is more of an anniversary present.

Dang DH's! BTW, I got home from being at the baseball park for 8 hours (7am - 3pm) today and DW had mowed our grass. :) DS10's team won both their games today. Tomorrow, if DS10's team wins their first 2 games and plays a total of 3, I will be at the ball diamonds for 9 hours (10 am - 7 pm). BUT I absolutely love it (except when it's below 45) -- I just wish the ballpark had wireless so I could DIS between games. :thumbsup2

It's still chilly here, only 55.
Our weather dropped 30 degrees between 9am and 12pm yesterday and then stayed fairly cold through the day and night. We had been living with the heat off for the last few days and it was downright chilly in the house this morning when the alarm went off at 6 am. It was 37 when we got to the park this morning but now it's in the low 60s and sunny.

Also, when we left DS12's baseball practice at 3ish, there was a wedding ceremony going on at the field right next to the one they were practicing on. So, Field 2 and Field 4 had practices going on them while the wedding was being held on Field 3. Thankfully it turned out to be a pretty day for them. The bride had on a traditional white gown and the groom a black tuxedo but the "crowd" sitting in the stands were all dressed casually.

I would have snapped a pic to share except the wedding caught the League a bit by surprise. They were supposed to be getting married on another set of diamonds, still in our park, but further away up on a hilltop where they would have more privacy as well. So, I didn't know I'd be in range to take a picture. But, since all the attendees were coming to Field 3 and they had decorated Field 3, we really couldn't make them move to the other diamond.

Of course you love the games, Rob, It lets you out of mowing the grass:mad:

Hi everyone! I am sneaking in. My little sister is in town so I will be scarce. Have fun! Don't burn the place down;)

CEL- That Riley is precious!!! Ooohh, better take a raincheck on your offer. That would be DH's b'day, and I might be in the doghouse if I ran off with my friend that I don't even know to Orlando. ;) :rotfl2: Maybe next time, K? Hey but I will wave as you pass by. :wave2: Oh and we went to local festival today, and all we saw was the local weatherman. Luckily he was wrong on the weather today :rotfl2: , no rain. :thumbsup2

Oh, and Melinda I forgot to comment that YES my DS does still hug is mama, just not in public. :rolleyes1 Although, he does come down and hug me and his dad at night before he comes to bed. I would like to say that it is love  , but I actually think it is somewhat of a delay tactic.

Wendy
- Tell GoofyMan I said Happy Birthday!!!

Gone all day and came home with now bathroom taps.

I did buy a lot of other stuff like a hall table and light for the entrance way. I used to hang my keys on a bear key thing but it is now down (country stuff again) and not going back up. So I wanted a table with a drawer for the keys. Now I just have to teach my kids to put there shoes in the closet and not around this table. They can get to the closet now because it is tile instead of rug.

And we did better then ice cream for the kids we went to the Rainforest Cafe for lunch/supper. It was so good. It was inside a mall which we toured too and stopped at the Disney store. Lots of stuff 40% off....:woohoo:

Lexi -- love the pictures. I bet she had a blast. Did you have a beer after mowing the lawn, hubby says it is a must....:lmao:

Marita-- I was scared you were Rick Rolling us too....We always say it is funny there is now indoor pools at the hotels. It is hard to find an outdoor pool here.

Celery-- Glad you didn't blow away. That tea sound cool.

Moo-- it is on the cool side there too when the wind picks up. Looks like rain to but didn't get any.

Rob- That is a long time watching baseball. I love watching too but my dd won't sit long enough. Weird to have a wedding at a baseball field. :confused3

Yes, I did have a beer! Thanks for asking.

I am now here alone as two younger kids are spending the night out. Mimi is at work. DH is MIA.

I'm watching Tom Jones. NO! Not that one. The History of Tom Jones, A Foundling. BBC version.

Have a good evening!

Melinda, EVERYBODY knows she gave him a weed whacker

Wait, that sounds naughty now, LOL..........

Hmm.....this DOES sound naughty. Couldya be more specific? :lmao: :lmao:

Pretty cool, Cel. I think Baby Paisley's name is Huck. Or Hank? No, Huck. Oh, and where was Brad?

Hey to everyone else! :wave2:

I woke up chock full o' energy this morning! Washed, folded and put away 6 loads of laundry, washed both bathroom floors and the kitchen floor on my hands and knees, dusted, vacuumed, washed 17 windows (I'll do the rest another day), cleaned the kitchen, breakfast nook and dining room. Also, at Natasha's request, I swapped everyone's flannel sheets to their "cold sheets", :sad2: which is a sure sign of warmer weather! Yay!

Plus, took Boris to his soccer game (they won, 3-0!) and baked brownies. My energy bottomed out at about 5-ish, and I have basically been useless ever since. DH went to his brother's house, so I am enjoying a nice, quiet evening on the couch.

What's everyone up to tonight?

HA, Marita! I seem to remember the two of us having this conversation before...... :rotfl:

Unfortunately, I can't even seem to find the energy to get up and get myself a beverage. Woe is me!

Maybe Melinda can pass you a "pretend Glowtini" beer, she is closer than I am. :rolleyes1
