Allie, I didn't take it as hubby bashing at all. There are LOTS of us on the DIS whose spouses aren't as interesting in going as much as we are! :mickeyjum

Thanks Cheryl! You just never know how the written word is going to come across. :confused3

We're back from the store, so now I'm gonna be cooking Chocolate Chip Cookies. MMMMM Ok, Road Trip to AL everbahdeeeeee!

Ok, funny thing. We ALL went. Meaning DH, DD and DS. I was surprised that DS came, but thought this is a great family moment. We have a new Publix across the street, so we just took advantage of the nice evening (plus we didn't spend any expensive SUV gas to get there) and walked over there and got our cookies and milk. Well, I was ready to get in the check out line, when DH said wait a minute, we've got to wait on DS. What for? :confused3 He was buying my birthday card, that he hadn't had the time to walk over and get in the past week. :headache: :rotfl2: I'm sure DH guilted him into going. :rolleyes1 Then he gives it to me in the parking lot. I open it. It's a funny card, and then I look closer, AND....... NO Signature. :rotfl2: Gotta love teenage boys.

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

I may have lost the computer forever. DH learned that he can watch all the netflix movies he wants for free online. The netflix thing is really working out by the way and saves us from all the dreaded late fees at the video store.

Week from helk at work is over and now it's going to rain all weekend. That's ok....it'll cool things down a bit. It's been 75 in our house for about 3 days and I'm too cheap to turn on the air. Maybe it'll tame down the pollen a notch too. EVERYTHING here is covered with the green/yellowish haze of pollen. But it's all good. I love spring. (April is NOT the cruelest month.)

Mimi is home and had a wonderful time. It was an action-packed 3 days in NYC. She slept all afternoon yesterday. Here are some pictures she took.

Marita....Did Access Hollywood say where I can buy a $120 knock-off of the $3500 purse? I'm sure I can. RE: forecasting. I have looked into my crystal ball and would like to predict that Disney World will be busy this summer. And HOT. With 2.75 people staying in each rooms and using 5.3 towels per day..mostly because of Stormalong Bay. My suggestion would be to doze the pool and save on towels. You're welcome.

Allie....We don't have Publix here yet? Is that your first one? Is it nice? We're all Kroger here. RE: birthday card... I can't wait to see what teenage boys are like when DS gets there. Can you still hug him?

Sandy....You can put your fancy sheets on over the cheap Disney sheets! And I can almost guarantee that she won't swallow a bug this time! Are you still debating hotels or did you make a reservation.

Cel....My one MNSSHP experience has ruined me to MNSSHP for life I think. It was a sold out party. :scared: :scared: :scared: Tooo many people! Not much candy! Long lines for facepainting, characters, etc. It was awful!

Moo.....I love your excited dog picture! That's the way I felt when I left work yesterdee!

EVERYBODY HAVE A GOOG DAY! I'LL BE AROUND SO POST AWAY!

Sorry I missed chat. I had a bit too much to drink and fell asleep. :(
Then I was up half the night. We had some SCARY storms.
I ended up with both dogs in my bed cuz my brother's dog hates storms.
I try not to pray about not dying because I figure God knows best when my time is - so last night I was praying this:
"Lord, if it's my time to go, please make it quick and don't let me and Riley suffer."
:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I was scared!
Mainly because the thunder SHOOK my trailer for at least 10 to 15 seconds.
With no lightning.
It was awful.
I've never been through a tornado, but everyone says it sounds like a freight train - this was close and TRES scary!

The breadman is camping this weekend - I wonder how they did!

1. Hey, I could run behind the car tied to yur bumper even. I've started running ya' know. ;) :rotfl2:

2. Hey, the hubby is really great. He treats me great, he just doesn't "get it". :confused3 That's ok, he wants us to see other places like NYC, London, the Grand Canyon, California, so it ain't all bad. Just wish he liked the Mouse a little more. :guilty: He did let DD and I go earlier in the year, and that's where I met my dear friend Sandy.
1. The point is to keep me company on the 12 hour drive. duh!
2. Those are all great places to go - and you all really should do it as a family. it's just hard to break the mouse addiction! I've been to the grand canyon twice and love it - I want to go back! but all my vacations seem to end up in Orlando. I can't figure it out! ;)

Allie....We don't have Publix here yet? Is that your first one? Is it nice?

Mimi's pics are GORGEOUS! Did she use a tripod to get the night shots?
Sorry your MNSSHP experience was bad.
Publix is great, but I don't do all my shopping there - just when I need a specialty item because Kroger is still cheaper.
I love your forecast for Marita.

Today is the Main Street Festival in overpriced town.
I think I'm going to take Riley and wander around.
I have tentative plans to meet Lisa and her kids (and her best friend who is one of the singers from Out of Eden! I'm gonna be cool though), Bridget and my sister all at different times. we'll see how it goes and see if the rain stays away.

I should do my homework first, but homework is for losers!
(unless you're under the age of 16 and reading this. Then homework is for winners!!!!!!!)
heheheh.

Lexi, RUN, don't walk, and go buy your own computer!!

Excellent job on the forecasting, Melinda. You are hired too!
Oh, close the pool, brilliant idea for cost savings. Not just on towels, but even more so lifeguards, custodial people, managers, water bills, utility bills, pool chemicals, the list goes on and on and on! A true V-8 moment!!!!!!!

Cel, that does sound like a scary night, yikes!!

Have a great Saturday, everyone :cool2:

Hey, I've got one of those with me right now! I dog-napped the dog again last night and she just jumped up on my bed, pushed my pillow onto the floor and is now sleeping on it. Why the pillow had to be on the floor is beyond me. :confused3 Spoiled lil thing! princess:

I love that picture! That makes me want to go to NYC. Just to see it. Even though I don't usually like cities. Put me in the middle of nowhere and I'm much happier, thankyouverymuch. Glad to hear she had a nice trip and made it home safely.

I've never been through a tornado, but everyone says it sounds like a freight train - this was close and TRES scary!

I should do my homework first, but homework is for losers!
Yup. Sure does sound like a freight train. LOUD as heck! That sounds like a scary night....glad you and Riley survived!

True that! Except I think I'm going to have to do homework all day. :guilty: Everything is due next week. :sad2:

Off to work for me. Later I'm going to go see my baby sister all done up for prom! I'm sure she'll look simply gorgeous. Then my friend Eren and I are going to a movie. Which movie has yet to be determined. I don't even know what's out. Anyone? Suggestions?

Can I contribute another song for the day? This one goes with the rain theme we seem to be having. And it's also just a really good Tim McGraw song in general.

I’ve been caught sideways out here on the crossroads
Trying to buy back the pieces I lost of my soul
It’s hard when the devil won’t get off your back
It’s like carrying around the past in a hundred pound sack

Today I’m gonna keep on walking
I’m gonna hold my head up high
I’m gonna leave it all behind
Today I’m gonna stand out in the rain
Let it wash it all away Yeah wash it all away
I’m gonna let it go Oh yeah
I’m gonna let it go Oh yeah

Skeletons and Ghosts are hiding in the shadows
Threatening me with all the things that they know
Choices and mistakes, they all know my name
But I’m through holding in and holding onto all that pain

Today I’m gonna keep on walking
I’m gonna hold my head up high
Got No more tears to cry
Today I’m gonna stand out in the rain
Let it wash it all away Yeah wash it all away
I’m gonna let it go Oh yeah
I’m gonna let it go Oh yeah

Ooohhhh, those pics make me want to go back REALLY BAD!!!! Thanks for sharing! Did she have a great time? You know what? Our 9th graders went on a trip this week too. I was a MEAN MOM and refused to pay the $900+ for him to go. I told him for a little more the whole family could go, and we could tour at a calmer pace. It was going to be 110% Commando! Also, DS said all the BAD kids went on the trip, so it was pretty pleasant at school this week. ;)

No, it's not our first one in town, but it is our first grocery store that we don't have to drive 10 minutes to get too. I have actually found it to be a little cheaper than WallyWorld 'cause at WW I find all kinds of other things that I "just can't live without", and end up jacking up my bill. :rotfl2:

1) We missed you too. I enjoyed it once they unlocked the door and let me in. ;) :rotfl2: Actually, I had wonky 'puter problems.

2) that sounds like one scary storm. Glad you're safe. We were supposed to have storms last night, but the ground is dry, so guess they went elsewhere. :confused3 They are predicted for today and tomorrow, so we'll see.

3) Then by all means, swing by and pick me up. We can sing "Life is a Highway" ALL THE WAY TO ORLANDO!!!

4) I want to take them to the Grand Canyon too, but I'm afraid we'll get there and go, "Oh that's nice, now where are we going?" :headache:

5) I LOVE my new Publix!!! It is saving me in expensive SUV gas, since it's right across the street. :thumbsup2 It is one of the BIG stores. It has wider and longer aisles than the regular stores. There is a Kroger by our church, and I still run in there and buy the things I can't get at Publix.

6) and who is Riley? :confused3 I'm new so I don't know all things yet. :flower3:

I just got off the phone with my mom.

She is going home already tomorrow :scared1: Last week she said it was going to be till May 7th.

I am concerned how she is going to make it up that nasty winding staircase up to her second floor apartment. But I guess someone will manage it, they got her down when she broke her hip.
She'll have a person come by in the morning and evening to take care of her. And she will have a medic alert braclet or necklace. And I know my brother will stop by every day.

Lexi
, look at this!! Just think how many labor hours closing the pool would save 9 am - 11PM

Don't do it, Melinda...Marita's gonna Rick Roll you! :rotfl2:

Wendee! How was DH's birthday? Did you give him something special? :cool2:

Marita!
:scared1: That's a lotta labor!

EVERYBODY! Thanks for the nice comments on Mimi's pictures. No tripod, Cel!

Mimi is soooo cute! She has your legs, lucky girl!

NO, I didn't get him anything "special". I got him what he really wanted :upsidedow . A Weed Whacker :rotfl2: WHO buys lawn equipment for a birthday? Plus a Nintendo DS game he wanted. Plus the better-than-"pie"-cake. The best cake ever. I had the tiniest Barbie-sized sliver and it made me kinda sick due to the extreme sugar but it was worth it, I tell you what.

Did you have any antagonizing color choices to make? Make and model? Did you get him top of the line?
Inquiring minds want to know popcorn::

you are to funny ......I resisted the second piece.......YOU SEE we had to have a 4th birthday party for Megara.......although she didnt get any chocolate cake ....she did get a few licks of an ice cream cone.....she would eat anything.

Oh right, CAN NOT GO WITH WITHOUT A BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR THE DOG :rotfl2:

Pumba, YOU are too funny!

I may have lost the computer forever.

Oh, NO, Lex!!! What would we do without our morning posts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared1:

Week from helk at work is over and now it's going to rain all weekend. That's ok....it'll cool things down a bit. It's been 75 in our house for about 3 days and I'm too cheap to turn on the air. Maybe it'll tame down the pollen a notch too. EVERYTHING here is covered with the green/yellowish haze of pollen. But it's all good. I love spring. (April is NOT the cruelest month.)

Our trees are finally looking green again. Yaaaaaay!!! So far the pollen hasn't bothered me (knock on wood). We don't have central air, just bedroom AC units. We're working on getting those ready to install this weekend. It cooled down to the 50s today.

Mimi is home and had a wonderful time. It was an action-packed 3 days in NYC. She slept all afternoon yesterday. Here are some pictures she took.

Here pics are AWESOME! And I love her curly hair ::yes::

I loved the parade and HalloWishes fireworks. AND the music :thumbsup2

Moo.....I love your excited dog picture! That's the way I felt when I left work yesterdee!
ME TOO!!!!!!!

4) I want to take them to the Grand Canyon too, but I'm afraid we'll get there and go, "Oh that's nice, now where are we going?" :headache:
Allie, we took a bus trip from Vegas and my hubby's reaction was a bit like that - we rode how many hours to see THIS? :sad2: I thought our visit was way too short and would love to go back and stay on-site.

Cel! I'm glad you survived the scary storm. We missed you (and *ahem* many others) at chat!

PJ, doggies help make everything better :upsidedow It's exciting that you're getting so close to graduation :woohoo:

Be aware that that Sarah Marshall movie has some full frontal male nudity in it . . . it is the guy from How I Met Your Mother, I heard.

Marita, that video was fun to watch. No wonder it's so expensive to stay there

Wendy, getting sick from sugar is almost like having a non-surgical gastric bypass  I kinda wish I had that problem.

Jaws thread, Pumba? I'll have to go see. Lots of interesting reading lately :rolleyes1
