BBN - I heard about the earthquake on the radio while taking DS to school. They said people in TN and N. AL reported feeling it too. Guess the earth knew that I was turning 40, and it wanted to celebrate.

I always knew you were one to "shake" things up.


We have had 5 aftershocks today. I wonder if any of the little elementary school kids are scared. Poor babies.

Sorry, Rob! I realized how late it was getting and needed to get to bed so I could make it to an earlyish (for me) meeting -- plus it apparently got really windy.

People here were talking about feeling the earthquake here too! I slept right through it

Awww. Thank you! It'seasiest because the tub is near a window that gets light at that time of day and is in front of a mirror so I can see what I'm taking a picture of.

hello eveyrone.......my rug rats have left.......and now its just me.....today is a REAL HEAT WAVE.....it is 70 plus and the kids wore shorts......I took them to the chinese restaurant and brought it home.....

Now it is calm here and I am vegging with my feet up.....I sit side saddle when I dis.

Happy Birthday to you ......hope it is the best....My next one will be the big one.....more then the 50 one......but I dont care.....so what......it is only a month more then I am now.....right???????

Told the kids....and hubby.....NO SNEAKY PARTY....or else I will bonk them on the head.....

if I shaved my legs i would put on the shorts and lay out in the back yard....get a glow before we go to DIsney and get really warm....hahaha

Just got off work and it is a BEAUTIMOUS day outside. The Bradford pear trees are waining now and the dogwoods and redbuds are in bloom EVERYWHERE! It's splendid! Lovely even.

I DID wake up to hear the windows rattling this morning! It sounded like there were strong winds blowing but I couldn't hear any wind in the trees or rain. When I got to work there was an email from my mom asking if I felt the EARTHQUAKE! Mom said all the windows rattled and the pictures on the wall rattled. Scary! I'll take a good ole fashioned tornado any day, Wendee!

Southwest released their schedule through Oct. so I think DSIL and I are going to book our flights to Orlando today for the Sept. trip!!! Should I go ahead and tell DH about the trip?

Maybe you should switch coasts on your trip? But make it mid October. DL is is lovely that time of year.

Afternoon, all. I, too, was shaken by the earthquake. It was at about 5:40, if I recall correctly. I think I woke up because my door was rattling so loud. Then the whole floor started shaking. And it was LOUD. At first I thought it sounded like a tornado. Side story: I spent the second half of my 7th grade year in a high school gym because our middle school was completely leveled by a tornado. Many of the houses in our neighborhood had major damage and several were flattened. Our house only lost a buncha shingles. So, I know what a tornado is like and I was thinking, hmmmm this seems a little different than a tornado. The floor was shaking so badly I decided we were going to fall through. We're on the third floor so that wouldn't be good. So, I walked out of my room and found all my room mates standing in the hall. I just looked at them and said "Good God, I think we're going to die." Hee hee hee. Over reaction, much? My one room mate told me to get a grip and they all went back to bed. I couldn't fall back asleep so I enjoyed a quiet morning of reading.

And I think I'll be in Nashville next weekend but details are still being worked out.

In other news, Hollywood is coming for the weekend! She had to work today, so she's not getting here until later tonight. Eren and I are going out for pizza this evening. Pizza is to a PJ what a bacon cheeseburger is to a bbn. YUM!!!!! I think pizza is second only to this one melt the bbn makes. Now that is gooooog. What was it called again, bbn?

Happy Friday, everyone!

I had a 9am meeting today, eek!. Luckily DH was off work to wake me up due to my entire clan leaving for Geogia today for DD's Lacross playoff games. They are not expected back until Monday. So it's me, the dog and te cat.

Left for home at 12:30 to work on an easy assignment. HA!!!! Got not one, but TWO nasty to do quick turnaround requests this afternoon. Bleach!
One is done, one might me getting done today(part 1), I think I will save the other for tomorrow part 2).

You know what is really sad? I used to love cleaning to the sound of my favorite German songs on ancient records when I was all alone.
Then DH bought this combo record player/CD/radio thing, which is fine, except THERE IS NO NEEDLE FOR THE RECORD PLAYER!

Did any of y'all close to me feel that earthquake this morning? It shook the bejeezus out of CrazyNurse Ranch. I think the epicenter was in Illinois, but they say the tremor was felt throughout IL, MO, IN, and KY. I have been in an earthquake before so I knew that's what it was, but the kids woke up (about 5:30) and thought it was a tornado. Except the redhead. He slept through the whole thing.

Caleb came down stairs and said "what was that?" and I told him an earthquake, and then he just said "oh, ok" and went back upstairs and went to sleep, like it happens every day.

It happened on my way to work, but I didn't notice. But it shook things up at work some. And my boss's house had some shelves fall. One of the aftershocks this afternon was more noticable.
UMA, loods like the end of October for us. Probably arrive on the 24th and leave on Halloween. Any idea what days the parties will be?
Looks like my pod debut will be taped Sunday night. And I may do another show for them on planning for DL. Will recommend Wendy to him on this, what with her vast experience. And also cause she's been to DL several times.i'mintrouble

Did everyone read the fine print? DTD is reccomending Utah to the pod people. We all need to start saving our pennies for bail money. (I am not certain who we will be bailing out but I am certain someone will need bailing out).
