Was sunny here this morning but now looks like rain.

Nicholas just went to get his baseball picture done and the we are heading to the sidewalk sale downtown. It is Fabulous 50's day and they close the street for bands and old cars, carnivals stuff etc. Hope we don't get rained on. Should have gone this morning.

Spent the morning like most of you...:laundy:

I bought teachers gifts awhile ago and can't find them anywhere. I did find a stuffed bunny and a bird house that you paint from the dollar store that was suppose to be for Easter. :rotfl2:

Mommy p-- so cool you play hide and go seek in the dark.

:confused3 Dark, dreary and raining here this afternoon.

At least it's not too hot outside (just a guess)

Talk of tuna noodle casserole yesterpost inspired me to make some for dinner today (sorry, BH). I add mushrooms, peas and pimentos (I think, it's been years!) I hope I can remember.

ETA: I think some nutmeg too? Or maybe that was just the chicken a la king :confused3 I guess I'll have to wait and see.

And I just realized I lost an ear ring! :furious:

If the weather stays like this, I am NOT going out for anything today. Why does the stupid nail place have to be closed on Sundays? What's wrong with working 7 days a week instead of 6? It's only 1 more day! The owners could take one day off each and the other covers the shop, right? Who cares about their family life when my convenience is more important, Harummph! (did I sound like Cel here, or is that my imagination?)

Nab, sounds like a fun outing.

My whole family just went to the local INdoor pool at a fitness center. The kind that REEK of chlorine and piss.

I am home fixin' to take a nap! :cloud9: Well, and read uninterrupted. YAY!

Tuna noodle casserole sounds good! I like mine with peas (maybe frozen) and sliced mushrooms, lots of pepper and some kind of buttery-crusty topping. My kids are happy with a Tuna Helper type dinner with no additions.

YAY for some alone time, Wendy! Enjoy!:dance3:

I started the noodles, added the peas and mushrooms and went to get the tuna (which I could have SWORN we had several big cans of). Found one misely little 6 oz can! And I used a Family sixed box of Mac and cheese! So I started a grocery list, dreading going out. But DH came to the rescue, we had one of those tuna in a pouch things (family size too). So I used that AND added the little can. Plus a handful of extra cheese (thanks Wendy). It's cooking now and should be done soon.

It's a boatload of casserole for just DH and I, so I will probably take some to work for lunch, if only I can remember to do that. I rarely take lunch from home, so it tends to slip my mind.

I dont think getting nails done today is in the picture after all. I might try another place tomorrow that is open on Sundays, or leave work early on Monday (that's a good excuse, right?)

Wendy - Is that word legal to use in Utah? ;)

We just got back from motorcycle shopping. The Buell(sp?) he saw a week ago was still there for only $1900, so we took that as a goog sign we were supposed to buy it.

Now I have my truck back. Thank googness. I don't go many places, but if I want to go somewhere I want to be able to.

Everyone must be busy this weekend.

Twinkie - You going to WDW for the Holidays?

Wendy - Are you moving or what? You never answered my PM.

Hi, MommyP

Congrats on the new transportation!

Love your new pics. I forgot to mention it earlier, dang work kept me busy.

what word? noodle-helper? nap?:rotfl:

Congrats on the motorcycle. :moped:

Twinkie - You going to WDW for the Holidays?
Yes! The not-so-mythical First Birthday trip is scheduled for early Dec. My parents and sister are joining us.:yay:

Speaking of forget to mention it earlier:

Welcome back Allie!

and Awww Steph. That is sweet!

Welcome back Allie from me too. see next line, hee!

Allie!!!!!!!!!! Listen up please!

Could you please turn the heat down in Alabama? Please and thank you! About 70 would be good.

DS just called. He said they had to do 11 hours of obstacle courses yesterday. People falling down into water, passing out, getting headaches. Hot as Hades. But apparently he made it OK. (no water or passing out, but definite headache).

They also had to do hand to hand combat with sticks with rubber at the ends. DS won the first one, but then got defeated. His buddy won 3 matches but then passed out.

I asked about the official transition to upper class status, but he didn't know. However, the are scheduled to go to an off-base minor league baseball game tonight, and ordered to wear their dress blues. So they may do something there.

He had to switch rooms to the upperclass quarters (just down the hall, same setup really). No off-base activities planned for tomorrow, he said too much to do, but might go out to dinner next weekend. Oh, and some pics coming and maybe some video, but don't know when.

The mushrooms and pimentoes(for color) sound good .... I think the peas just need to be drained and rinsed first befor adding...that might do the trick to get rid of the overpowering flavor of the peas..:lmao:

Congrats, Twinkie! I hope we can plan a not so mythical trip sometime early next year.

Of course the peas need to be drained first! (and the mushrooms) Who wouldn't?

So I just mentioned to DH about maybe going out to Disney some weekend after DD gets home and go with her BF to see some of the new things we havent seen (like 3 or 4 years old) and go to dinner. I got a very un-enthusiatic "maybe"

No wonder I never saw Wishes or Fantasmic or the Hoop, LOL. Although truth be told, I usually don't feel like going out on weekends either.

I just worked 8 days in a row, so today I decided to treat myself to a night off. I'm not on the schedule at all, but my manager (who is awesome), told me to just come whenever I want. I have better things to do tonight. :snooty:

Twinkessori...I think it must be a pastime of Disney cast members to use fake names. Meltisha sounds like she could be Donnisha's cousin, no? Have you ever been to the Candlelight Processional?

Moo...hope you had a nice birthday dinner with sis! Sounds like fun! Where did you guys go?

Marita
...wow on everything DS had to do. :faint: Have we told you lately to thank him for us? It sure was a nasty day here today, wasn't it? I could hardly get motivated to go out and when I did I got absolutely drenched.

Utah...thanks for the chlorine and piss visual. :scared:

I am off to dinner and Wishes. With a boy, even. ;) Later, gators.

Hey just checking in. What an emotional day.

I'm done crying. I had enough of it. This time it was from the funeral. I still have that headache.

Peace out!

Wishes and dinner with a boy????? DO tell all, PEEJ! popcorn::

I think that was the first boy remark I ever read from you besides Ben at the beach.

Yay for having a day off, and a SATURDAY even!

Funerals are never easy. Hope tomorrow's looking up for you.

There are some things that do not need to be shared with the thread. :rolleyes1  Just sayin. Anyway, it's just a boy from work.

 Mony.

Maybe you should try to get some sleep (if that is possible with the kids). Nyquil always works for me.

You are definitely due for a break in your fortune!

Hey Moovers, sorry I haven't been around very much. Being unemployed sucked but my agency did find me a job. Not the greatest but I like the people I am working with and the pay is good.

But funny story about the job...I go in Monday to interview for this job, which is temp by the way and half the interview was spent talking Disney with the supervisor. She left this morning for I think 3 or 4 days in Orlando, staying at SOG. So I figured I blew it because I was supposed to hear about it Tuesday because they wanted someone to start on Wednesday. No call on Tuesday or Wednesday. But Thursday morning I get woken up...the person they chose did not work out and they wanted me. So I had my first day yesterday.

I am working for a homeopathic medication company doing cold calls, not selling but doing a market research survey. Again not the best job but the people around me are fun and friendly and perhaps I can move up to customer services taking phone orders.

Going to a Bachelorette party tonight. :drinking1 And yes we have a designated driver and no it's not me. WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO...party on.

No time to read all I have missed so I am going to do what I do best...smile and wave. :wave2:

Good Saturday evening, Moovers!

Boris and DH are off at the Cub Scouts' "School's Out Campout" tonight, so Natasha and I are settled in on the couch, preparing to watch Camp Rock (starring the much-discussed Jonas Brothers). We are in our pajamas, and have a cache of snacks at the ready.

Since she will be mostly ignoring me in favor of Nick Jonas, I will be DISing discreetly. :rolleyes1

Sounds like the perfect Saturday nihght, Lynette!

I just downed a handful of peanut M&M's myself.

I feel so in the know now, just having learned about the Jonas brothers this week :rotfl: Never knew they existed before the did the screening at Disney this week.

ETA:
So I switched over to Camp Rock for a bit. This little exchange reminded me of

LEXI!

The mom: Can you believe none of these cookbooks has a recipe for chili for 300?
The daughter: Don't worry, mom, everone loves your food!

Anyway, reminded me of Lexi's Sunday lunches.

Boy I WISH I could Marita. Yesterday was HOT up here, so I imagine the further south (which is where he is) you went it just got hotter. Unfortunately the weathermen say next week is gonna be hotter. Although they haven't gotten much right lately. They said we would have heavy showers last night, and we didn't get one single drop. :furious:

Remind DS to keep drinking water. Dehydration causes headaches.:headache: Maybe he can have some after he gets back to his quarters at night. ;) Might be a goog thing to send in a care package. :goodvibes

Yes, Montgomery has a minor league team. They are called the Biscuits. :rotfl2: What a name. They are supposed to play the MS Braves, which is the minor league team for the Atlanta Braves. (that's clarification for you non sports folks, and you know who you are ;) ) Sometimes the Biscuits come up here and play too.

Oh, and I don't want to seem like a comeback snob :snooty: , so, HI WENDY AND TWINKS! and anyone else I might have overlooked. I don't ever intentionally leave anyone out, so please accept my apologies. :sad2: :flower3:
