Happy Birthday to the Avatar Fairy!

Happy birthday, Steph! I love My Fair Lady! Enjoy it!

BigL....I love Natasha! That's why "we" pay for On Demand....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
p.s. I grind my teeth to the point that sometimes when I wake up my whole mouth hurts. Can you please find a way for Natasha and I to STOP that?

Hmmm.....how did I just know that you'd be a grinder? :scratchin

1. I'm orally fixated too. Teeth grinding and gnashing is up there on my pet peeves list with "the sound of a banana being eaten NEAR me"

2. OK For my virtual sundae, pack on the nuts and chocolate with a swirl of whipped cream and a cherry. As many virtual calories, fat, and lactose as possible! And if it's not too much bother, I'd like mine served on Johnny Depp's bare stomach.

1. Don't get me started! :rotfl:

2. I'd like a brownie at the bottom of my sundae, if you please. On a Johnny Depp platter. With a side of Julian McMahon. Thanks!

Boris and DH got home from the Cub Scout campout at around noon. Boris went directly upstairs for a nap, which is quite unlike him. I guess there wasn't much sleeping going on at that campout.

GOOD MORNING!

I woke up late today and can't find my glasses! I put on some readers thinking I'd see them but no luck. :worried:

Marita....Who needs a recipe for chili??? :confused3 And everybody loves my cooking too. ;)

Hope you found your glasses, Lexi!

There was a scene in the movie Camp ROck where a mother was hunting through cookbooks looking for a Chile recipe for 300. So of course you came to mind.

DS called this morning to report on last nights activities. But I have to call my mom now and then upload some pics, so more later.

Just talked to my mom. She had good news, she went out for her first excursion today for coffee and cake. Made it up and down the stairs by herself. I didn't think that was ever going to happen again, so WOOO HOOO!

That's great news, Marita! It must be such a relief to know that your mom has gained back some strength and mobility. Not to mention independence.

First of all....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STEPH!!!!

Hope it's a great one! :cool1:

Allie...so from what I'm hearing from Marita, you're in charge of temperature. I need it AT LEAST 20 degrees lower. Got it??

Sandy...hope you had a safe trip today! Congrats on the new puppies!!! I am going to need a lot more pictures.

First off, Happy Birthday Steph!!!

Ok, PJ, I'll turn down the temp. if you can get my friend's into CM's. K? ;) Just kidding.

Sandy
- did you take the wuppies to MI with you? Love their names.

Oh, and today is my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary! :bride:

Thanks, Lynette, it is great news! Mom is far from independent, a good friend too her out. But just gettng out is a great achievement.

Bonnie, Hi, good to see you, stop in more often. Sounds like a great day at the beach!

OK, update from DS from last night:

They went to the ballfield and it was Military appreciation night. They marched out onto the field and then stood at attention for 20 minutes while a 3 star General swore in some new enlisted men and women.
He said people were yelling from the stands "bend your knees", LOL.

Then they went back to base and were free to go off base (after registering their itineraties). Chris said it was easy to tell apart the young kids from the older guys. The young ones all ran to town, the old ones (he and some others (DS is 28 and some guys in early 30's) stayed in. He said not worth it this late. And they all of a sudden realized they have TV NOW!!
He said they lounged around in flip-flops for a while watching TV till lights out at 11. Apparently this was a big deal. And he said they didn't have to wear big plastic nametags anymore (at least not while out of classes) and someone pretended to set on on fire..
This morning he was planning to go to the golf clubhouse, where they supposedly now can access their non-military email, and was going to download some music. Guess they haven't even had Ipods all this time.

OK, some pics

Want to pick a fight?

Marita-- it is so cool that you get these pictures of your son.

Bonnie-- so your on summer vacation now, we have 4 more days.

Went to church then went to DQ for lunch so I had a chocolate sundae for reals. Then went to the park with the kids. Then kids think this is the best day. Now they are in the neighbour's pool.

The weather is beautiful today too what more can you ask for.

BBN: how long does this birthing class last that you have to put up with the Ex BF and Wing Spawn of Satan's Lovechild Carring Wife ? J/K

it's a six week class. :faint: it's all very odd and weird. but i think it's pretty darn funny. she says the most ridiculous TMI things to the whole class and he looks mortified that i know that she is such a ditzy dingbat. i think i'll just have a little fun with it. not that i EVER like to :stir: or say stuff just to see what people will say or do.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAVAMOM!
 :bday::cool1: :thumbsup2 Hope you have a wonderful day.

Hugs to those who need it.

:lmao: Was my description of them over the top?....I think you should give them all the carp you can get away with from making the whole class laugh at them...maybe your dis friends can help by coming up with some creative ideas on this thread.

Hope you had a great birthday Steph.

Speaking of EX's, I was mortified when we went to the Star Wars Event Friday night and I look over to see Tim speaking to mine. Only because I went in my sweats, and didn't care what I looked like attitude cause we'd be watching a movie in the dark.

It wasn't dark yet! I don't think he ever saw me without makeup, before.

I also have this rule about meeting up with ex'es only after I've lost the baby weight, which I haven't done yet, so I made sure the topic of conversation was all about Tim. :rolleyes1

Hey Bonnie! Nice to see you, again.

Wow, seriously quiet here tonight! Was there some atomic bomb and I missed it?

Except for BH and Mony, of course!

Well, here is an update from DD's trip:

Thank you all for all the information. I still do not know what my final plans are yet for Holzwickede, but I will let you know and call Omi as soon as I get the information. Today we are in Routte, near Füßen. Tomorrow we are visiting the awesome castles and then it is off to Italy!!!!!
Having no concrete plan has been amazing, we just pull off the road to places that look decent and voila, they are even more amazing than anything one could have expected. For example, today we saw a post card for a waterfall near Zell am See, so we drove around, found it wandered over and it was gorgeous! This vacation has been magnificant so far and seems to only be getting better.

I love you and and miss you lots.

P:S: Chris, can you receive alcohol after graduation? If you can, you are in serious luck!

I love you all!

:wave2: Evening, MOOvers . . . I'm just now catching up because I was under the weather today. Woke up in the middle of the night with food poisoning/stomach flu/chills. I'm thinking it was the pineapple that I ate for a snack last night. The kind that was pre-cut at the store. Trying to be healthy and this happens!!! :scared1: Ugh! Next time, I'll just eat chocolate instead!

Anyay, I'm finally feeling better tonight, but I slept a LOT today.

Bon - I don't live in Kalamazoo, but one of my sisters does. I'm about an hour away. Sounds like you had a great trip to the beach!!! :beach:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STEPH!

Marita - YAY for your mom doing better! And thanks for sharing the pics of your son. Looks like he's doing great!!!!!

Donnisha - Thanks for the sundae :thumbsup2 I don't think I could stand the excitement of a Johnny Depp platter (TMUma) :lmao:

Yikes, Moo, sorry you got sick! That sucks... Especially on a weekend.
My attempt at eating (living) better is to drink a V-8 every day. So far I managed 2 days out of about 90, LOL!

Good night! Back to work tomorrow :(

WB, Lint, congrats on the new job, even if temp, things will happen.

This reminds me of my first interview with Disney. For Accounts receivable as a bad debt collector. I did NOT apply for that job they just sent me there. Anyone who ever met me can attest to the fact that I would be the worst possible choice for that job. Or any kind of sales or cold calls position.:rotfl2:
Luckily, they recognized this and sent me to interview in another department, and I got hired, and here I am, 35 years 11 months and 1 week later :(

Ya know what's funny...I used to work with a gal named Marita at the Brown Derby. At least I think that's your name...it's in your signature.

And 35 years...Holy Crap. That is a long time. You must have some serious seniority in your department.
