Who missed me? Not everyone all at once now.

The beach was awesome, Disney was awesome, time to go to work, blah blah blah, etc.

GOOOOD MORNING!

Rob! Who wouldn't stop for that situation?! What are people thinking????! That's my worst nightmare! When I was a teenager, Mom and I were driving down a two lane highway that ran through some farmland. I looked over and off in the distance I saw a child (about 2) walking through a field alone to some woods. Mom stopped the car and I climbed the fence and ran to the little guy. I caught up with him just as he got to a stream and I carried him back to the farmhouse. Who wouldn't have? Seriously? You're a good man, my friend!

Everybody else......:wave2:

Wish I had more time to chat but Bible School awaits.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Hi Lexi, I did something similar when I was about 2 or 3...I took off to see my dad at work...Dad walked to work and he must have took me walking with him a few times because thats were the police found me walking on the sidewalk to my dads office about two blocks away from home and his office at WKU (he was a Chemistry Professor) My mom was frantic and called the police. I quess I really wanted my dad that day.

Okey dokey artichokeys. (that reminds me. where is celery today? and twinkster? and all the others that are mia? Peej? Did you die on ToT? oh wait the rule is NO BBN. NO ToT, right?)

anyway, speaking of weddings. keep up with my stream of consciousness people. thanks. I CANNOT get this song out of my head. It was played at Tasha's wedding on Saturday and i have been pretty much singing it and/or playing it on the piano since.

Who sings it? (I would ask Peej, if she ever gets back on the computer)

It was no accident me finding you
Someone had a hand in it
Long before we ever knew
Now I just can't believe you're in my life
Heaven's smilin' down on me
As I look at you tonight

I tip my hat to the keeper of the stars
He sure knew what he was doin'
When he joined these two hearts
I hold everything
When I hold you in my arms
I've got all I'll ever need
Thanks to the keeper of the stars

Soft moonlight on your face oh how you shine
It takes my breath away
Just to look into your eyes
I know I don't deserve a treasure like you
There really are no words
To show my gratitude...

Oh I know this one.... it is Tracy Byrd !!

Moo-- like Sandy said get eating....We had power out for that length of time one summer too. It was a big grid that was out too. We weren't home either but at our mom's when it happened.

Babynurse -- sounds like you had a blast at the wedding. What colour did you wear , short, long?

I have been trying to get my house back in order after the yard sale. My floors had more drink spills from the kids running in and out on Saturday.

Man ya'll are having some wild weather. And here I languish in the dry southwest. Send us some rain please.

Oh and BabyNurse...I am meeting Celery tonight for dinner, I will let her know you are asking about her.

Lexy- soo nice to have you and your morning shout outs back!:)

BabyN- Glad to hear the DH made it home. I was worried since we had weather too.

Moo- I hope you get power back soon!

Utah- Thank you for the Emergency Preparation Because Life Can Stink talk. Pioneer girls are tough ;)

Linty- :welcome: Give us all the details about your meeting with Celery!

NAB- I signed up for our neigborhood yard sell in a couple of weeks. The amount of junque I need to go through is overwhelming.

VBS is this week here too. I am the Science Teacher. :3dglasses Of course we are having a pirate: theme so I am PIRATE Science Teacher. A friend of mine suggested we take the kids to "donal's" for lunch and dared me to go in full pirate regalia. I did.... minus the lab coat since it was borrowed.

Weather is crazy here too. They said there were tunnel clouds in Toronto too.

Saying it is coming again tonight, it is really humid and hot so it is not uncommon to have thunder and lightening storms.

We have baseball out of town tonight too and we will still play as long as there is no lightening. Unless it has been raining really hard before the game and there are too many puddles. Our baseball season is very short so we hate to miss games.

Moo-- you must be dying with out electricity, I am sure it is pretty hot there too. You need to find a cool place to stay with electricity.

I went into work today and used the shower in the women's locker room.

I'm pretty sure we're still without power (based on phone ringing busy). Several people I work with lost power. I'll check out the fridge and freezer situation when I get home to see if I need to add ice. Probably leaving early today.

Some work friends have offered freezer space and use of their washer/dryer as most of my work clothes are dirty (I typically do laundry on Sunday nights).

Nab - I'm not sure how hot and humid it is out there.

Mony - I feel your pain!!!

WELCOME BACK, Peej!

Lint2 & Cel - Have a nice meet!

Twink - LOLing about your science pirate garb!!!!!

Power's still out. The temp's not too awful. We don't have it nearly as bad as lots of people, TG.

My cousin just called to say to say she has a big pine tree and a power line down across her driveway. So that took out her power and some of her neighbors'. They're still projecting Wednesday or Thursday to restore power around the area :(

Yikes Moo that really sucks! Sorry for all the people with power issues.
Thank goodness for your batphone!

We lost power for days back in 2004 with the 3 hurricanes that took straight aim for Orlando. No fun in August/Septermber in Florida, let me tell you!

Welcome back, PJ!

DH rigged an extension cord off his truck battery so he has a fan running and ONE channel on the TV!!! And will be able to run the DVD player.
Always thinking . . .

I am in albuquerque! woo!

but very very tired.
I'm afraid I won't be an exciting dinner companion for lint2.
unless I drink some energy drink. hmmm.
maybe I should do that.

thanks for noticing I was gone, babycow! glad you had a good time at the wedding.

pj - I'm confused. I thought you were working at disney for awhile this summer. was it just a week or so?
are you starting your montessori job now?

moo - I can't believe it takes so long in this day and age to restore power! that's crazy!

utah - you seriously know how to grind wheat into flour? does it taste yummy?
I think you and lint1 should have a martha competition. popcorn:: I'd pay goog money.

Yay for your DH, Moo! And yay for at least ONE TV channel. I missed TV with the hurricanes, just for updates on what was going on. So I bought this tiny battery powered B&W 5.5" TV in spring of '05 for $17. Luckily it's still in the box, let's hope it stays there. But come Feb of '09 I will have to pitch it, with the changes to TV, it will be obsolete.
They had the Nat'l guard here handing out ice and water and directing traffic, because the traffic lights were out. I am still without a fence, and the trees fell over (luckily not on the house). I think I said all this before, more than once, LOL. Just one of those things that stick in your mind!
Anyway, I listened to radio back then, thank goodness we had that, they had great coverage.

I should have done some work tonight, but I am just NOT in the mood.
Tomorrow I am planning to take my car to the dealership for an oil-change and to find out if they can open and/or close the hood I bumped or if I need repairs and a rental car

OK, since I am not going to do any work tonight, I better go do the dishes :(

Cel, have a good meet with Lint2, and I hope you take pictures!

Better be a good meet, I did my hair and makeup for this. And I poked myself in the eye twice with the mascara wand. And I waxed my eyebrows.

LOL, all the more reason to take pictures!

Maybe you can compare bruised backs and poked eyes.

aww man! does this mean I have to put on makeup?!?!?!!?

I didn't even take a shower this morning because I overslept.
crap.
off to brush my teeth, apply lip gloss and dig for some mascara.
maybe.

if lint2 turns out to be a serial celery killer, y'all head up a task force, kay?
;)
