Yay for a decent profit today, Nabbie!

Hot, hot, hot here in Michigan today :scared: I stayed in the AC today until this evening, then went out to get a full restoration, as Pumba would say ;) Including a nice short haircut for the summer.

Heading out to the sushi restaurant for my little sister's birthday dinner tomorrow afternoon. Yum!

Nab, wow, $80 for a used radio flyer? How much do they cost new these days? DS used to love his, sigh!

Moo, I have to do a restoration too tomorrow, but do it yourself kind, dangit

Our new bathtub, toilet and cabinet got delivered today to redo the second bathroom while we are gone. Which is a good thing, since otherwise I would either have to walk through hubby's room (who goes to bed at 5pm) and wake him up or use a bucket

Total sighting of DD so far since Friday night when she got home: 5 minutes. Funny, Khaki asked me if we would spend family time together this weekend. NOT!! Well have plenty of family time next week.

I'm rethinking wether I want to get on a horse (IF I cant GET on top of one) It would be nice to ride around. but it makes me nervous. Not to mention I doubt I can get on one to begin with...

Marita - this wagon was in perfect condition came with woodsides and a pad inside. Also had those blow up big tires, great for the beach. New they are well over $100. now. Had since Nicholas was one so it is 13 years old.

About the horse, Babynurse would probably tell you to try it, me on the other hand I would be afraid.

Moo-- Our weather was fine until it rained. Cleared out nicely in the afternoon but stayed windy and cool. This morninig looks beautiful out but I am not resetting up the garage sale like others on the street today. I am done.

Besides I am off to church ....

Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

morning ..
Saw a house yesterday that was immaculate but to dang small....we need to see more houses (as our realtor said-so we can determine what we really do want in a house)...she is the best I can tell you that...The house yesterday was cute ...but no room for hubbies tools except the garage which would house the four wheeler and the snow blower and the lawn mower and the on and on and also maybe the truck...so no room for his tools or saws or nothing....
Today we are venturing out to Apple country ...it is a pretty house but now we sit here and rethink this.....it is miles and miles of apple orchards.....so that would mean spraying ......would the pesticides float towards us.......we also asked to see another house closer to the city ...

this afternoon we will first see our little granddaughter (5) her dance recital....she is so excited......last year they did more dance and this year it is tap dancing......Also our little man is 7 today ...also my sister would of been 75....she has been gone 5 years next week......miss her loads.

well I guess I should get this butt moving.....I need another hair restoration too...cause the sun bleached it out FAST......especially the Florida sun..
Marita.....you and I are about the same .....scared to death of heights and getting on a horse ...do they have seat belts/??:hippie:

doing nothing!

so hot yesterday I decided not to drive to downtown Chicago for the lit fair - now I feel too lazy (and too poor!)

hope someone will mow the lawn and get rid of the weeds... :hippie:

Pumba-- We have a two car garage and can not fit a car in there if you tried. And we have a small shed in the back that in the summer has the snowblower and winter had the lawnmower. The rest is kids bikes, toys, minus a wagon now but has a exercise press bench out there in pieces waiting to be put together since there is a little more room since we cleaned it out. Now to get rid of my old table and chairs that are in there too that didn't sell.

After saying all that garages aren't used to much for cars around here, everyone has junk in them.:lmao:

Sandy-- I am not doing anything today either. I am to tired from the last two days.

Kids got permission forms at church today to go to Wonderland since they served more then 10 times this year. Well they serve almost every Sunday becasue people don't show up but that is another story. Anyway it is on June 22 which happens to be Nicholas last day of school , at this school ever. So I told him he couldn't go now he is mad because his "girlfriend " is going. She will not miss her last day because her grad is Friday, his is Thursday.

He had been talking about there clap out for a while. This is what they get to do the last 1/2 of that school day , they run though the halls high fiving the younger kids and just having a blast. I really don't want him to miss this but he says now it doesn't matter. Not sure it I should give in and let him go because there really isn't a reason not to send Hannah. :confused3 I am really torn and wondering if I should just let him go.

If you wondering what Wonderland is , it is owned by Cedar Park. Like a Six Flags I guess.

Nab Congrats on the Yard Sale!! You cant get a car in our garage either! Even bikes have a difficult time - it all takes maneuvering! But now that we have a "beer fridge" (root beer as well as DH's concoctions) I have to look at it!!

:lmao: DH is going for a run - and the dogs are laying on his feet "begging" to go with him!! too cute!

Marita :rotfl2: forever Nebo!!! The rooms sound cool - and I dont even want to think about the Fantasyland expansion!!

Nab I know what you mean - honestly it does mean more to you than it does the kids! However, I dont want to do the 8th grade graduation! Now DD is mumbling about not wanting to go - I'm afraid it may be our influencing her... should we make her go? (we have 2 jr hi schools of app 340 kids each, Jr Hi North graduates first - at the high school - then while they leave, we come in - not before 7:30 - now how is that parking lot going to work? WHAT a mess - I want NO part of it... *sigh, I'm old!)

I'd talk to your son, and hear what he is saying, and what he's not saying - and probably let him go... :sad1: Our school took them to Dave and Busters - what a joke - its like Chuck E Cheese - then they had an 8th grade dance - this cost us $60 - dd refused to go to the dance because her friends paired off - and she was mad she went to D&B

Going to be a hot one today , all week they say. I love it especially with the sun shining.

I talked hubby into going to see Bridesmaids with last night. It was hilarious. A little raunchy too but that was ok we didn't have the kids. Here it is rated 14A which is crazy. I don't get to see very many moviies other then kids cartoons and show because of Hannah. Nicholas and hubby go to plenty action ones. They saw Pirates on Saturday.

Hubby is off yet again today. Know we have to go to the dump with the stuff we cleaned out of the garage last week. But other then that I is anyones guess.

Nab :lmao: your kids are in school, your dh is home - and you used the word "raunchy" :rotfl2:

Its going to be HOT HOT HOT here too - watching morning shows (Today, GMA, etc) 2/3rds of the country is in this HEATWAVE - then by Friday, brrr back down to 50's at night!

I'm dreading 4th of July - I rented a house for a week, signed a contract - read the fine print "no a/c we want to maintain the integrity of the era - 1940" :scared1:

I'm just hoping that week wont be miserably hot - otherwise I can think of the era! I was going to go to WalMart and invest in a unit for the bedroom to sleep comfortably!

Pretty uneventful day today.
Nab, we leave early Saturday at 7 am, so we need to get up about 4am. EEEKKKKKKKKKKKK!

DS called today to ask if we want to do the tour of the nearest super secret missile base or the one he works in when he has to do alerts. which is 1 1/2 hours away. I opted for the one he works at rather than a squadron he doest work at. Maybe I'll see some Moose on the way, LOL. Plus since there really isnt much to do there, we can have quality famility time in the car (HAHAH)

Might do the Lewis and Clark museum the first weekend. My garden putterering and cooking time is shrinking whith the expensive Glacier Park trip. I think I only have Sunday and Monday. BUTTT, I did print out some recipies, most notably Heart attack on a plate. (which is about the yummiest thing evah!)

Marita-- How could he give up someone cooking for them. I would love someone to come cook for me. I hate it but of course have to do it..... Saturday will be here before you know it.

Sandy-- your so bad. We made it to the dump, Good Will and got the front flower bed almost done. And had a nap because we were tired. :lmao:

I got sucked into watching the Bachelorette again this time around. I wonder how she felt watching last nights show. Bentley is ......can't even say it. I liked Will on there first date and he went down from there. And so glad the mask guy finally went home.

Well have to finish the front flowerbed this morning by myself then, stay in the air conditioned house for the rest of the day until baseball tonight.

We leave in 3 days, why the heck did DH buy 7 bananas, UGHHHHH!

Went to the dentist today for a follow up. Guess what he want s me to do?

Get 3 brigdes for a total of about 10K!!!!!!!!!! and he is out of network for my insurance. So I might have to finally dump him for a new one that Insurance will pay for..............

Two more days of work. Im so dang tired lately, I actuall went to bed at 11 last night (Moo can relate), probably another early night tonight

Nab walk away from Bach scripted up the wazoo - his (bently) ex was on access hollywood - just scripted - Ashley knew and kept him - drama sells, drama makes her (in eyes of tv viewers) beloved victim? go to Reality Steve in a google to see final 4, final 2 ok the "winner"

Marita  bread (lol, great excuse to use that smiley!)
dont get me started on dentist (or hearing aides for that matter!)

Moo can relate...

DS is talking to DIL she hasnt filed for divorce, going to see a therapist (so glad I didnt say nothin bad!)

DD is "out"
DH is at work at a 2nd job... (Disney $$)

I'm watching 16 & Pregnant
Chopped
Storage Wars
Auction Hunters

not bored... :confused3 who me?

Sandy-- I know it has to be scripted but I watch anyway. Nothing else on anyway. Glad your son and dil are trying to work it out but I am sure I would have had to bit my tongue on some of the things she did.

Marita-- I second the banana bread or just though them in the freezer before you go to make it later. That is a lot of money , not even sure what a bridge is. Rest up now so you can enjoy your vacation in a few days.

We won our baseball game but boy thought there was going to be a fight with the empires and the coaches. The one boy must have been new and he kept saying out, then safe no out:confused3 . Then of course the parents would get into it. I stay out of that stuff beside then the kdis get all worked up from there too.

Suppose to be a hot one today so I think I will go to a nice airconditioned mall and look for some sandals. I have birthday money I got from my sister in March still so maybe I will finally spend it.

what new equipment did the dentist get that merits you having to give up ten grand for bridges......I always say that when a doctor, dentist or the vet bill is over board...

Today we go see another house.....This one I have had my eye on for the last four months...but now that it has come down in price..we will go and see it....it is nice in photos....but we all know what photos do...MAKE HOUSES LOOK GREAT..

Just sucked up a big big spider with the central vac....so now that spider is down in the cellar....why do they come alive and move around when it is spring time......he or she has probably been hiding someplace....but my mini blinds was the area that I said NOPE..

have a good day friends

Pumba - sad but true about the new equipment! at some point I've wondered if it wasnt cheaper in the long run to have them pulled and give me dentures (well, ok, it would be cheaper, but yuck on a full set of fake teeth!)

Nab DO NOT PUT your cursor on the SPOILER Ashley Bach thread here on the community board - the first sentence gives the f-4 and the final one - all about Reality Steve (you do know I'm obsessed with spoilers and reality tv! :rotfl:)

HOT HOT HOT - yesterday got up to 105 here - not a heat index factor, the thermometer said 105 when I passed the bank! That's hot - its supposed to drop 30 degrees in the next 24 hours! cool! cant wait!

any word on Twinks and DD?

Sandy-- too late I already looked....And yes it is hot.

I went to sign a paper for Hannah to go on a bus today and ended up going along as a Volunteer. All the grade 5 in the area schools come to the arena here for Race Against Drugs. It was actually pretty cool. The kids go though 20 stations. One was walking along the yellow line with these goggles on. They impaired your vision as if you were drunk. I was way off the yellow line. The kids were too but of course they thought I was funnier. Another was a board with all the drugs on it and they explain how they affect . That was interesting since I never saw some of these before. Heck Hannah didn't even know what drugs were really before today.

Got a free t shirt too....

Holy moly ....we just had hail storm come though. It was so big it set of my car alarm. It is raining now so I haven't gone out to see if I have any dents. Never say hail so big. We picked up a piece to show hubby, it is like a big ice cube.

We also broke a record for temp.today too. I think we are in for a wild summer.

Wow, Nabbie - that sounds like one heck of a storm! Sorry about the dents. It is super hot here and like Sandy, I am looking forward to some relief tomorrow. A friend of mine just got back from Florida today and said it was hotter here!!!

I am not watching much of anything on TV, just doing some reading lately.

Marita - I can relate on the sleep thing! You must have REALLY been tired  I got some decent sleep last night , which I was glad for because we had an earlyish meeting today, but I was so busy getting the room ready, I didn't get my tea until the afternoon. Had a tough time in the meeting and was yawning all the way through it :(

My hubby just had to have his bridge replaced and it was several thousand dollars. They're expensive, but I agree that a second opinion would be a good idea. Sometimes newer practices' prices aren't quite as bad.

Pumba - Goog luck with this latest house -- one of these houses needs to be decent for you.

Wow, Nab, that's scary!

We had a big hailstorm here in the 80's I think. So bad we had to get the roof replaced. In Florida!! It dented a lot of cars too.

The bridges the dentist want to put in involves a crown on the toothe on either side of the pulled one, and a fake tooth in between. All permanently attached. So since I had 3 teeth pulled, that is $9K at $1K a tooth. A much cheaper version would be to have a fake tooth attached by wire, but I really dont want to deal with that, plus the dentist says that endagers the other teeth.
My dentist is out of network for Disney and only works 1 day a week anymore. I think it may be time to ditch him and find one with better insurance coverage. These are all the second teeth from the back, so you cant see it.

AOP (budget for next year) is about to get into full swing, just as I am leaving for vacation. They changed the schedule, GRRRRR. Still raining in Montana every day, so I dont know how much hiking, sightseeing and garden puttering will actually happen.
