We are supposed to get a storm today. Starting around noon so the commute home is a nightmare for everyone. They are saying 3-5 inches. I know some of you laugh at that, but with budget cuts, only the main roads get plowed. Freeways first and if we are luckey the main non freeway roads, the subs, ha!

I know weight fluctuates, I get that, for no reason what so ever I was up two pounds today. I have been very good following this plan. Portion controll for me is the biggest issue. I had all good foods yesterday and I worked out saturday and sunday. I took yesterday off to give my feet a rest. Sunday church was overfull and we opted to stand in the gathering area through Mass.

I will work out today, but seriously, that 2 pound gain totally depresses me.

I drank 8-10 glasses of water, I lost count.

Mooving on!

Took my first 2 quizes last night for the on line classes 30/30 and 9/10 which is under protest because I know I got it right. I sent the prof and email we will see what she says. I started my classes early to get a head start. I'm a nerd, and I am proud!

Stay warm!

Hello, friends. Today has already been a doozy...I got a call from unemployment this morning saying that they cannot get in touch with (former)Crazybossman to verify the reason for my "separation". <---That's their euphemism, not mine. So there is a possibility that my unemployment benefits will not pass the adjudication phase. So despite the fact that I've already been paid for 1 week, I may get no further benefits. I am steaming mad and sick, all at the same time!

I called him myself, but he doesn't answer his cellphone (I know that my # comes up on caller ID, and he recognizes it. Also, I know that he doesn't answer calls that show up as "Private" on either his cell or his house or office phones.) So I sent him an email requesting that he reply to me and/or the Unemployment Office at his earliest convenience so they can handle my claim expeditiously.

In other, no less aggravating news, the weather people are now predicting that the snowfall will total between 14 and 18 inches by midday tomorrow, and then possibly ANOTHER mid-size storm Saturday.

Whining over.

TWINK! Your very own laptop? It's so slimming! :rotfl: Jeez...you're getting spoiled out thar on the prairie! Glad to know that all Twinkie family members are well and happy (except for the littles, who have tech envy..poor darlings)

Mony, don't think about the short-term! Think of the overall changes you're making for the better. And not just for yourself, but for your whole family! Pat yourself on the back, girl!

Lynt - I think crazybossman is up to no good. :sad2: My son got shafted out of $100+ when his boss (the chicken place he worked at) went under. I think it was bad business sense, but it could have been something more sinister, just don't know, but we are done with it. Hope your situation resolves itself.

Looks like your getting what we got with a little extra punch! I would NOT like that much snow. The National Weather Service is predicting that we might get more snow tomorrow and Thursday. They haven't said that on our local news yet, so maybe not. Today we are using the 2nd of our two built in snow days, so if we miss more, I think they will add it to the end of the year. :sad2:

Twinks - So glad to see you and get your Top Ten! :thumbsup2 I'm only on here because we are snowed in and no school. :cloud9: So what cool card game did you learn? Cool Beans on your new notsharedwithanylittlepeople laptop!!:thumbsup2

NABS -Glad I could bring a post Christmas smile to your face! Just don't know that you will ever get my card before Christmas since I am always so late getting them done. Maybe I can do a special one for you next year? :rolleyes1

Mony - Consistency is the key, just keep at it. I'm so proud of you!! Great job on your tests! :cheer2:

Moo - I think I've gotten my snow 'fix". :rolleyes1 I'm just afraid that they will make us go to school tomorrow, and the streets are slushy and it's supposed to get down in the teens tonight so it will be an ice rink tomorrow. I also worry about DS driving my old Tahoe on potentially icy roads tomorrow.

I've got two shivering dogs laying in my lap whilst I try and type with my left hand....impressed? You should be. :rotfl:

Well the State of Alabama brought home another National Championship last night! Only it was for the 'other" AL team. :rolleyes1 Still proud of them though.

Moo, my helping at the salad bar consisted of about 1/3 stuff, 2/3 ranch dressing, so I guess I doused it, LOL. I like a little salad with my dressing... As for proteins, I eat very little, unless you count 4 shrimp in fettuncini Alfredo for lunch, and the little bit of meat (?) in Taco Bell tacos for dinner. I have been eating tacos for dinner for months now, time to find a new fad....

Mony, you are doing fabulous with your classes, w00t!

Lynt, wow, former crazybossman really stinks! Do you have paperwork from him when you got your notice, or can you get any corroboration from the other people at the old job that also got laid off?

Allie, I'd be scared too to have my kids drive on ice, YIKES. Of course my son is now in Montana, next to Canada, where people regularly need to get gotten out of the missile areas by helicopter because roads are impassable :sad1: At least I'm not there to witness the scary conditions, so I don't worry as much, plus he is much older than your son.
Oh, and I forgot to mention I got your card too, very handsome family, thanks!

Weather situation: Feel sorry for all of you, but just to make you all feel a bit better about not being in Florida, we are in for another freeze tomorrow night. Tomorrow morning it's supposed to be 40 degrees with 16MPH winds, which wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have a property tour scheduled with our new regional manager, which includes riding around in a golf cart for an hour and half, BRRR! Hope we can scope a van instead.

I was going to say something else, but it totally escapes me right now.....

as I sit here ...pondering ...yah I do that once in a while.

I will say.....Thank you for your Christmas cards.......and I did buy two boxes of Maine Christmas Cards.......so you would all appreciate what SNOW really is like.....but I was so down this year.....I mean LOW down.....like I didnt want to be here for Christmas.....if it hadnt been for the two young grandkids ...hubby and I would of gone to Disney ..Plus when he checked air was like 600 a piece round trip...Please forgive me .......I really tried cause I even bought the christmas cards....My intentions were there.....its like the ones I didnt mail last year.....they are in my drawer of the tv holder thingie.......I still have six or so that I didnt send out last year....but I did send some for July 4th didnt I????

we are in for a nor'easter......please feel bad for me....hahaha..

I do feel bad for Marita and the cold and winds....someone that used to live in FLorida and they all moved to so.Carolina.......or someplace like that....she said she would rather have winds from a hurricane then not being able to leave the house for days....they are not used to snow and ice and sleet...

Have a good night my friends

Pumba -- I just went though the motions this year too, so I can understand what your saying.

They are calling for snow over night. Every day the kids ask if it is a snow when I wake them up, well really it is only Nicholas. He needs snow for Thursday when the school starts there ski club this year. He doesn't ski but he snowboards. It will be every Thursday night for 6 weeks.

Marita-- you need to get it warm for when we are down there in 2 weeks. Last time we were on the ship we got off the boat and it was freezing.

I am still not packed. Did look in my closet today and choose some of my clothes. Hannah has two new pair of shoes.

Lynette -- that is really crappy thing happening too you. Have you talked to any of your coworkers?

oh yehhhh....snow day....we are just going to get a little...nothing like Mass or NH.....maybe up to ten ...
Hope you guys stay safe and stay off the roads...My hubby went to work at five am...and his area is on the coast....so I hope that they send him home early....but the shipbuilders dont believe in snow I guess...

having my coffee....see ya later gators

Yes we woke up to snow too...I have already went out and shoveled once but it is still coming down. Like to have the sidewalks shoveled for the kids going to school.

The darn plow just went by...:headache: Never when I am out there.

Pumba-- I will definitely stay off the roads today. I have to go out tomorrow so hopefully this is not a few day storm going though.

we cannot see out the window....that is how hard the snow is coming down and blowing.......what a mess........I called my husband and asked him to come home.....hahaha.....I always do that when the weather is bad....He knows I am a worry wart.

waiting for Ava's mom to come and get her and go home.....they are closing alot of doctors offices up....hope she gets home before it gets worse.....

Pumba - I'm praying all your family gets home safely. We are going to venture out and get our haircuts today. Pray we get there and back safely. This southerner is kinda skeeered!

Ugh, we did get snow too! Last night the boys went out and shoveled after a few inches fell, then this morning I went out to shovel the drive and walks for my day care and I am guessing at least 4-5 inches were out there.

I can't believe they didn't cancel school.

I'm cold, can't get warm today.

I am grumpy too.

While I was washing dishes, one of the day care chitlins took an ink pen and redecorated my cream leather love seat. He completely covered it in nice 2 year old scribble. I have an ink pen remover stick, but this will take a few weeks to get out. It is everywhere. Oh he even colored on a pillow and my wooden coffee table.

While I was washing dishes!

Never in my 14 years of doing this has any child done something like this in my home to my things. Maddy just colored her face with a sharpie. Sheesh.

Hello, y'all. Mother Nature really walloped us this time! My area has gotten 24.5 inches of snow so far, and it's still snowing. *sigh* My town canceled school last night around 7ish. That is a VERY rare event! So Boris and Natasha and I have been home enjoying each other's company today.

Unfortunately, DH had to go to work anyway, despite the Governor's request that everyone stay off the roads to allow the snow removal crews to do their jobs. :sad2: The thing is, he won't even end up delivering most of his route, since he is supposed to use his own discretion when deciding if it's safe to deliver to each house. Since it's still snowing, most people aren't even trying to clear their property yet.

There are lots of areas of Massachusetts that have lost power, and the utility companies are saying that those people won't regain their power until tomorrow at the earliest! The temps are in the 20's, and we're getting 45 mph winds which are putting the wind chill in the single digits, so I feel awful for those poor people!

In answer to NAB and Marita's questions yesterpage about whether I've spoken to any of my former co-workers: Since most of them were seasonal temps that had just started, I don't even have any contact info for them. I have been playing phone tag with the man from the unemployment office, but I'm fairly certain that he wasn't in his office today because of the snow, so I'm still waiting to resolve that situation.

Mony, ACK! that totally sucks!

HELLLLOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! lalala. Anyone? Yes? No?

I finally have a computer again!!!! That hasn't happened since August when my laptop died. Lucky for me, my mom and dad seem to have forgotten that they said they got me a washer for my birthday and a dryer for Christmas. Having forgotten as they did, they offered me a laptop for my birthday. I jumped on that bandwagon!!! I'm all hooked up and ready to go. :)

Speaking of snow, we had a snow day Tuesday. This makes 4. So much for getting out of school in May, but I do so love the snow.

I shall attempt to catch up here.

Welcome back, Peej!!!!! Just saw the happy news about your new laptop over yonder!

I have been kind of a a downer lately, but shall attempt to remedy that :)

Sorry so many friends here are dealing with too much cold white stuff! I'm rather happy that we only got a couple inches.

Mony - Goog luck with your cleanup

Lynette - Lots of good Scrabblin' today :goodvibes After the service this morning, I couldn't really concentrate to work, so I was very happy to have our games as a diversion. Thanks!

Wow, a PJ sighting! Thought we lost you to FB for good.
Welcome back!

Yikes and Yuck to everyone's snow pains. Sure looks bad. The TV said today there is snow in all states except Florida today. BUT, we are getting another frost tonight...

Tour with the new regional manager went well this morning, luckily we got a van to use instead of a golf cart, so except for some walking in the cold it was good.

Mony, the stuff with your love seat sucks big time! Hope it all comes out.

You can be a downer if you need to be a downer. It happens! Hope everything is okay-ish though.

We only got a couple inches, too. I swear I only moved 2 hours from where I grew up but these people can't handle some snow! We didn't do all this snow day mess in Cincinnati. Here it snows 2 inches and it's like...STOP EVERYTHING!!!! I was out and about all day Tuesday. Roads were fine, but some schools were still cancelled today!

Wellllllllll, I can fb from the phone super easy. I make no promises to be consistently on here, but I'll pop by when I can. You know me and my crazy rock star life. ;)

AHA! Look what the cat dragged in! ;)

Moo, I was sure thankful for the diversion our games provided today too!

Marita, glad you didn't have to freeze your giblets on the tour today.

That's it, I'm getting a new username!!!!! Why would I put my phone down? Which reminds me, I have a museum texting/phone story. Not quite as good as The Vatican, but somehow I seem to get in phone trouble wherever I go.

Ya don't say?

You don't need a new username, but you should update your location (again) to reflect the latest state switch.
