Spent the day going to the clinic then the ER then to X-rays back to the ER. All this took 5 hours. Crazy. He has ligments torn in his ankle, which I guess affects his leg and knee. All are swollen. Good news is nothing is broken but he still has to wear an air cast for a few weeks and no sports of course. I swear I am going to put him in a bubble.

Pumba -- you are right about getting ready for college , public is better. The Catholic one makes you take religion every year , so it takes away from another credit you may get to help get you into University or college. :confused3 He just had his last sacrament which was Confirmation. Well other then getting married in a Catholic church.

I too wonder how Marita is doing. Hope she says good with her no smoking. I know stress and such might make her want one.

having them in a catholic school for the first part is good in my eyes.....good to have them take things seriously and the fact that they are being disciplined into behaving..(well hopefully).....it gave my kids and grandkids a good start...would never complain about that.

morning.
Hubby went hunting and Megara and I slept in..It was worth it believe me...I feel pretty darn good...

It is overcast today...it would be a good day to hunt as the sun makes it difficult for my eyes ...since I got my cataracts fixed the sun bothers me more.

I am going to make chicken caccitore ....got a pkg of bone in chicken thighs that I will boil and get rid of the skin.......then I will plop them into my sauce and cook it for four or so hours more.......I love it........I know that I am USUALLY allowed one cup of pasta and a fourth of a cup of sauce....so I will eat more chicken .....maybe it will balance out.

Hope that Nichalas's leg is feeling better today.......I saw a bubble someplace.....will let you know about it.......hAHAHA..

have a good weekend my friends

Nicholas pumped his cast up too much yesterday at school so I had to stop shopping and come back home to unpump it (there is a tool that came with it for this). It really made his ankle swell. At least his toes weren't blue. I also told him to open it up until it got there but he took the nurse words literally to wear it all day and take it off at night for bed and to ice it. He missed the part where he wasnt' suppose to make it tight on his leg I guess. Now he carries the tool around.

Hannah is going to a birhday party today at a roller rink. Hope she doesn't fall and break anything. It is a sleep over too so it will only be Nicholas and I most of the weekend. Hubby is working night shift , so he is either sleeping or working.

We finally got sun Pumba. It has been overcast for a few days so hopefully it is heading your way. Now how warm it is out not sure yet.

One just got out of bed and the other is packing. Better feed them sometime too. Weekends are bad for eating we eat when ever...

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Darn missed out on sleeping in that extra hour....forgot to put the alarm clock beside my bed back so I thought it was time to get up and shower for church. Hubby came in and I asked why he was late this morning he said he wasn't it was only 8 o'clock :headache: Poor guy had to work an extra hour last night too.

Well all my clocks are changed now ....

Went to see Social Network last night with Nicholas. It was really good ,interesting how facebook started. Really funny too. :thumbsup2

Since I have all this time on my hands I will go make a good breakfast for a change.

hubby made breakfast this morning...he does that one morning a weekend.....I love it...

Today is overcast and tomorrow is MORE RAIN......I think that we need to sprout waterwings...one day freezing and the next warm with rain........geesh..

I am making my chicken caccitore right now........boiled the thighs and will let it cool off and take off the skin and fat and put it in the spaghetti sauce......i love the flavor...it will soak in the sauce as it simmers for 4 or so hours...

I saw on crocs.com they had some special crocks rx cloud in chocolate or black for 15.99.....not a bad price......I may get me a new pair......I love to wear them except when the puddles are higher then the holes in the shoes........hahaha..

Have a good Sunday everyone

Nabbie - Bummer that you missed out on your extra hour of sleep! We got most of our clocks changed, but the one in the living room needs new batteries. Hope Nicholas is doing better

Pumba - I need to figure out something to make for dinner today. I've never made chicken cacciatore before. I'm thinking maybe chili, beef stew, or split pea soup.

MM.....I make my regular spaghetti sauce.....with meat and green peppers and onions and seasonings.......then I boil the chicken thighs bone and all.......I take off the fat and skin...leave bone on and then put them in the sauce...simmer for four or so hours and serve with the bone......it is delicious...that is all I do for it.....I know alot of places uses the boneless skinless chicken breasts cut up but this is so flavorfull....LOVE IT

My day only gets better.....I whole bottle of luquid laundry soap broke on my floor. The washer went off balance and made it jump right off. I usually don't leave it on top but for some reason today I did. :headache:

Then Nicholas decided he was bored but I told him he could play video games all day so he throw the game remote at the floor which in turn hit the fireplace downstairs. Luckly he didn't take a chunk out of it. Grounded now. I would make him rake the back yard or clean his shower but his darn foot is still an issue. I am sure then he wouldn't be bored or at least tell me all day he is. :sad2:

I am tried and think I have caught Hannah's cold too. Just want to go back to bed. But can't have to finish the wash and make supper.

Ok venting over , off to make a great dinner, not to hard since I have a roast in the oven.

Pumba - That sounds fairly easy, but I asked hubby what he wanted and he said chili, so chili it is!

Nabbie - I hate spilling laundry soap on the floor, it's SO hard to clean up!!! Hope tomorrow is better :goodvibes

oh Nab...I am sorry...You are having one heck of a day for sure. How about Nichalas cleaning up the dishes and doing something that would not require him to get his foot wet or dirty.......
Today is another YUCKY day......instead of putting out the trash barrel...I put all the trash in a super heavy duty trash bag so when they empty the barrel ...it wont go blowing down the street....which has happened before..

I tried to call my dil but the power is out in her area ...alot of schools in Maine are closed...power outages and slick roads....all we got last night was a little snow and sleet and now all heavy duty rain....

Hi all, I'm back.

Got in about 8:30 last night after a 20 hour trip and it was about 1:30 my body time, so I crashed after taking a shower. Went back to work today to yet another forecast, and I;m way tired, so I'll try to update tomorrow with details.

Looks like all is well in Mooverland and I didnt miss anything.

I forgot to mention this weekend that I went to see the traveling version of Mary Poppins Friday night. It was amazing!

Boo on the snow, Pumba! I'm not ready for that yet.

ETA: Welcome back, Marita! Get rested up and we'll "see" you back here once you've recuperated a bit from your traveling :grouphug:

WELCOME HOME MARITA>..

WE missed you...can you tell....Hope all is well and so glad that you are home safe and back where you belong.......WITH US

WELCOME BACK MARITA!!!

No snow here yet and I don't want any...

Get to go pick up my Christmas pictures at Sears. Hope I picked the right one to enlarge. I always worry about that until I pick them up. Of course they look so much better then the computer scene they show us on.

Hannah is excited because a Vetran comes to her Guide troop tonight and she will earn her peace badge. Last year the Vetran gave each girl an old button from uniforms. She is also singing for the Rememberance Day assembly with school choir on Thursday.

Thanks for the WB's

Got right back into a super busy week and I'm still dragging

morning everyone..

SUN IS OUT...but it is wet out with all the rain we have had the last week...I cant believe we got the spring rains in the late fall....almost time for the Bird DAY...

Now yesterday the dang dog woke me up early, and I didnt have my little Ava and I could of slept in....TODAY the dog slept in and I had to drag myself out of bed after the alarm went off.....I could of slept .......

Yesterday I saw two of the most beautiful birds........two red red Cardinals....it was just so much fun watching them ...I even went to the store and came back and they were still there.....so I snuck in the house and got my camera....and then went out and as if they are camera shy...they left......but it was so nice to see them..

Have been looking at places on line......there are some nice houses that I would love to be in......big kitchens and dining room separate....I loved them.....I would like to see a garage for the hub's stuff...his four wheeler and the snowblowers and the lawn mower...and whatever else we dont want in the back porches......hopefully by next summer we will be in another place....after all my life in this house.....my great grandmother, my grandmother, my mom, us six kids, and my kids and for a brief six years my grandkids...alot of history here but I am ready for a ONE FLOOR house....

Pumba, I didn't realize you were planning to sell your house. I thought you were just looking for a winter place in Florida. Did I just sleep through that? :confused3

Not much to report here, stressful forecast hours this morning on my own with some frantic calls for help with stuff in the system I didnt do before, but I got it done in time. By 3 I was ready to leave, but I stuck it out. Good thing too, since I got a question at 4:30 from HQ. Would have been bad if I had gone home, LOL (even though I probably would have been online)
I'm ready for the cruise. Just hope we dont get a fire like the one in Mexico, but then again, what are the chances, right?

Glad you made it through forecast, Marita. Do you have Veterans Day off work? I'm glad I do!

Your cruise will be here before you know it. Hope you have smooth sailing! Last night, my hubby cited that Carnival cruise ship fire as one of the reasons why he will never go on a cruise.

Pumba - We have been having beautiful weather here this week. Sunny and 60ish. Too bad I can't get outside during the day to enjoy it, but maybe it will hold on for tomorrow.

Marita...we will still need a summer place in Maine...so this place, which is three story apt house.....it started off as a one floor and an attic....My great grandparents and grandmother came here and then built it up when my mama was first married and they made it a second floor and an attic.......THEN the third floor was made.....which is the biggest floor plan......three bedrooms living room kitchen and bath and big side room for storage and a back screened in porch..so we dont plan on renting ever ...and we live on the first floor of course.....big back yard that had a house on it but we tore it down 19 years ago I think.....I want a house on one floor....and laundry room on one floor.....so its a long process of looking at houses even if we dont buy until next summer....hopefully we will be in it for the summer......
Florida is still on the planning board and it will be a winter one......
Hope all the families everywhere are doing good.
Marita....hope all went well in Germany and seeing your family .....
