Gorgeous weekend weather here in Michigan and the fall leaves are beautiful! It was around 80 today. Had a fantastic time wine tasting and riding around seeing the scenery up north.

Wish I'd been able to take my car so we could have dropped the top, but it was acting up and we didn't want to get stranded so far from home. We saw lots of other people out in their convertibles :goodvibes

Goog luck with your new job this week, Marita!

Hi, Lil G. I didn't see the big game yesterday, but I know there will be LOTS of happy people at my office tomorrow :)

The weather has been so great this weekend , I am very thankful.

So thankful for my family and great friends I have on here!!

Had such a great family visit. Traffic was really bad getting there but so worth it. Sailed home with no traffic.

Now I get to spend the rest of Thanksgiving day with my little family. Mom sent home a ton of leftover with me so I don't have to cook either. Even dessert. pie, cheese cake and squares, yummy.

Happy Thanksgiving, NAB! Glad you got to take home lots of leftovers...I think that's one of the best parts of that holiday!

The weather here was spectacular this weekend too, albeit a bit chilly in the mornings. DH and I had a wonderful time at the wedding on Saturday. We even attended the after-party for a while. It was so nice to catch up with old friends!

Yesterday, DH and I took Boris and Natasha to America's oldest agricultural fair. I've enjoyed going every year since I was a teen (so, like 15 years now ;)), and now Big Daddy, Boris and Natasha always look forward to it as well. We spent 5 hours (and oodles of cash!) there. It's one of my favorite little traditions..such a simple thing, but we always have so much fun.

I worked today, but DH and the kids had the day off, so they got to spend some time together. Things are so busy at work, and we're still short-staffed, so that's not helping things. Upside: I can pick up as many hours as I want, which should make for a nice Christmas. :upsidedow

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!

Good morning everyone..
Got a call last night from hubby ...this hunt is better cause I can hear his voice and get to talk for a bit. Maybe today will be moozilla day and then he can come home.
Last night granddaughter and her boyfriend came over and we went to Walmart and got some items she needed ...then they came back here and they had ice cream and hot fudge...Sent her back with some food and I made her meatballs and home made sauce for either spaghetti or meatball subs..

the sun is out but it is 40 right now.....I should turn on the heat but heck I put on my long housecoat (ava not coming today) and megara is sitting in her sunbeam..
Hope you have a good week at Port Orleans ...I do love both sides of that resort but my favorite is French Quarter.......

I remember back when we would go visit memere and pepere in Ct and we would have Canadian Thanksgiving there.......Turkey and meat stuffing ......YUMMY.....then in November we would have my other grandmothers vs..turkey and bread stuffing....YUMMY......

Hope you had a great celebration Nab

Yay for a great Thanksgiving, Nab, and for your hubby calling Pumba.

Pumba, what's your foundry that is missing? Confused.

My new office is FREEZING! 65 DEGREES! I have the space heater running all day. It's crazy. Disney is on a major electricity cutting program, how the heck does this happen? It's 88 degrees outside :confused3

Back at the Y&B a few years ago, Engineering came through on a midnight rade and seized all the space heaters they could find because they use so much electricity. It's crazy...

morning all.

ANother cold start to the morning but they promised high temps in the 60's...I can do that...it is sunny out and the foliage is starting to show in the city.

Nab...My foundry is on Frontierville and its missing......went to the help section and they said that blds are disappearing but not missing....they are not loading......someone said it came back but when I looked this morning it is GONE again.

hubby called again last night and his brother shot at one but missed.....I said make sure he doesnt miss tomorrow (meaning today) cause I want you home ...I miss him to much..

I watched some of the rescue last night as the paramedic went down into the miners area......and first thing i did was put on the bedroom tv so I could see if they are coming out.......I was able to see the eldest of the miners emerge......very emotional for all I am sure.

Ava is here and it is my ONLY free time as she is watching team umizoomi....
Or maybe if Dora comes back on I can have another freebie.
have a good day everyone

Marita-- I was wondering what a foundry was too... I could handle the 65 degrees if it was 88 outside. My house sits at 67 right now and it is even colder outside.

Thanksgiving went well. Too well we were all extra tired yesterday.

Now have to change my Thanksgiving decorations to Halloween ones.

Well, maybe. I was thinking of a thread I read some time ago about chrochet/knit for needy people/babies, etc. But I couldn't do it cause I was smoking and that was a no go. So tonight I thought about that to do something to occupy my time. And then I thought about knitfreaks group meetings, so I googled that and found the Happy Hookers, meeting every Thursday night at 6 at a Panera about 20 mins from my house. SO I signed up. Something to do plus some social interaction. we'll see how that goes...

Marita-- I knew you were changing jobs and all but a happy hooker. :lmao: And you said you would be bored. Good for you, and socializing is always fun. Speaking of knitfreak , did you have her baby yet?

It is raining here today, but have to venture over to the school today for mass. Hannah is in the choir.

Hope to go away this weekend, since the kids have a PD on Monday and hubby is off too. Another long weekend for us because of that. Moo thinking of coming your way again....

Happy Belated Thanksgiving Nab!

Hi LilG! Retire? Nooooo

What's new in the pasture?

I worked last night. Had a very difficult patient. Actually, she wasn't TOO bad. It was her dh. He was a doctor. Apparently they had "fired" two other nurses before I got there. Luckily, they allowed me to stick around my whole 8 hours.

He questioned me about EVERYTHING I did! I felt like he was trying to trip me up and stuff. That used to bother me when I was a new nurse, but now I just silently roll my eyes. I think maybe because I have more confidence in my bbn skills now? And maybe because I think he's a human being just like I am, and if he thinks he is smarter than me what the heck do I care? lol

It's beautiful here. I'm headed to walk in the park with a friend, and then to the Wal-Marts. Have a great day y'all.

Marita - Yay for you! My daughter has done some knitting group stuff and it's a great way to get to know others in your area :)

bbn - Way to hold your own with that doctor :goodvibes We've had some great weather here lately as well. The colors are at peak this week, I think, but yesterday's rain knocked a lot of leaves off the trees.

Nabbie - If you're coming my way over the weekend, be sure to let me know!!!!! Are you thinking Frankenmuth? I could rearrange things and meet you up there on Sunday . . . or I'm doing a road trip with my friend Debbie on Saturday, so dinner that day could work, but we have plans for earlier in the day.

Hellllllooooo everybodeeeee!

I have enjoyed the dreck and drivel. No time to multiquote ;) because I have a plane to catch. The rest of my morning is scheduled like a shuttle launch.

BUT, I did want to say good bye.

Watch out World, Here Comes the New and Improved Twinkie Family :woohoo:

its raining and I MEAN RAINING.....I tried to hold the umbrella over Megara's head but she was not having any of that...it is so windy with it.......I guess this was the Noreaster they were talking about coming up the coast....I hope it slows down soon as Megara has been letting off an aroma that is enough to gag a maggot.......disgusting...

HOpe you all have a great day.....

Twinkie--Safe travels. Bye!

Pumba-- we had that yesterday, now it is cold and sunny. Do love the colour of the trees though.

It is our 16th wedding anniversary today. That day was beautiful and warm. Call me crazy but could have gone to Niagara Falls , just hubby and I or go shopping in States with the kids and visit Moo....umm which to do ....visit Moo of course!! :yay:

Pm sent Moo...

Thanks for the anniversary wishes! We had a nice dinner out.

Hoping the border won't be backed up too much . Our dollar is up so it might sent a surge that way. :lmao:

Speaking of knitfreak , did you have her baby yet?

Nab, I surely didnt have her baby yet, and neither did she  She is actually not due till like mid-November, just waiting with the blood pressure issue I guess. I havent talked to her.
And Happy Anniversary to you!

Twinkie, happy travels if you see this!

Well that is good to know you are not having a baby....:lmao: I'm sure you wouldn't want to start all over , too stressfull.

Mind you Nicholas came home and said he was one of 8 chosen to mentor kids in grade one to 3. That they have been watching all the grade 8's and they think he would be great at doing this. Maybe this will be a good year after all and he is settling down.

Twink - Sending good travel wishes also! I just got so excited about seeing the Nab family tomorrow it knocked everything else out of my brain!!!!! Have a splendid visit to the House of the Mouse :mickeyjum

w00t, w00t! :goodvibes
