Marita - I could totally live without a dishwasher(if I had to), but I couldn't go more than 2 days without a vacuum. Oh my goodness, I can't imagine the mess. I get stressed and depressed if the house isn't in order. Sad I know. lol. We vacuum EVERY day, so missing even just one day would be a HUGE mess.

BabyN -

Well, I am back to the Dr. today. Saturday afternoon Jeremiah fell from a tree and didn't inform us until Sunday that it happened and that his head was, "beeping". :confused3 Chad refused to take him into the emergency room Sunday because he didn't want to sit there all day. (Good plan for him, because now I get to take care of it all by myself. ) Yesterday Jeremiah didn't mention anything about his head hurting anymore, so I thought we were good. But this morning he came in after bring the trash cans out and said it was "beeping" again and it did it every time he ran/jumped. :headache: So he has an appointment at 11:50 and hopefully they will send me to radiology directly without a wait in the emergency room. Otherwise Chad is going to be in HUGE trouble.

I don't think God wants us to go away. :headache:

We are home! Got in around 10:30 last night.

Now its time to go through the unpacking.

We had a great time on vacation. The weather was something though, very hot, 90 or hotter each day, which rain storms daily. Not just showers, storms.

It took me a good hour each day for my body to adjust to the heat, I am a huge sweater, and i had to have my daily supply of napkins at the ready.

We came home to hot and humid, everyone's grass is brown.

I was hoping to get a break from airconditioning.

While we were away my mom fell and sprained her ankle and my nephews burned their trampoline down with fireworks.

I am not gonna do a TR, but I can just do a brief summary of the highlights of our trip later with pics over here.

I enjoyed looking over NAB's photos and descriptions of her trip, BBN so sorry for your loss, MP I will be praying for your son and Chad. I really hope you get to do your trip.

There is so much to do here before next week. My kids go back to school on next tuesday, and so do I. I need a new assistant, long story. Just a lot looking at me right now.

Glad to be home.

Mony Welcome Home!!! Sounds like you will have a busy next few days. Hot here too. Your nephews burned down the trampoline.....:scared1: thankfully your boys were there with them.

Babynurse-- Sorry to here about your great uncle.

Mommy P-- Poor Jeremiah ouch. Hope everything turns out alright at the doctors. For Chad sake, Jeremiah's and yours.

it is HOT here again today...went for a quick walk with ms Ava and then back in the house.......she is now sleeping and when she wakes up we will jump in the pool and cool off........she is a good baby.

Hope that your sons head is okey.....beeping is scarey to be compared to.

Our kiddos started yesterday to school in our area....then some started today (like my grandson) and then my sisters granddaughter starts on Thursday......why cant the whole state start on the same day.....some are starting next Tuesday ......make up your mind for goodness sakes..

OH the turkey meatballs sounds awesome.....I could do that .....always love meatballs of any type..

Our truck is Magestic Blue......shines wicked pretty in the sun.....it is a four door V8...it feels huge inside......on our other silverado we had running boards......stainless steel so they are still in good condition for our grandson to use on it......we will get new ones as soon as he orders them....Also we will need a new back end cover.......forget how you spell it..toneau cover??? When I do get in I have to grab onto the holders and pull myself in.......yah I am short.......hahaha..

Sounds beautiful. Would love blue. I also love the hard type covers on the back to match the truck but they are not practical to get stuff in and out. We have the one that folds back in sections. Had a cap before too but they are terribly expensive.

Busy cleaning today.

Nicholas was grounded for a few days and his day to go out or play games is tomorrow but I told him if he cleans his room to my standards, not his( that would be everything shoved into or under something) he could have his stuff back today. I was surprised because he came down with clothes that don't fit anymore so he could get all his clean clothes in the drawers. Even dusted and vacuumed. So he is one happy camper.

Funny thing is once Nicholas started cleaning his room Hannah went and did hers with out asking. She will do this once and awhile. So now I have two less rooms to worry about or nag about. :woohoo:

bbn - Sorry for your loss :grouphug:

Marita - It's always a hard decision when our dogs get that old, but it sounds like it was time  Hang in there with the not smoking! You're doing great!!! I know your seasons down there in Florida are different from ours up north. As much as I enjoy fall, I get sad when summer is over, especially if I haven't been to the beach much! Maybe you will enjoy getting outside when it's a little cooler  I'm hoping to get to our Renaissance Festival and maybe go wine tasting while the weather is still decent. I really do try to enjoy our great weather while it is around.

Mony - Welcome home! Sounds like you had a fabulous trip even though it was hot in Florida. Hope you get your assistant issue straightened around soon :goodvibes

Pumba - I hear you on the getting into the truck issue. I'm above average height and I am thankful my hubby has running boards on his truck! Congrats on selling your Florida place, but I'm sorry it didn't work out. Hope you end up finding an even better situation down the road :)

MommyP - Hope Jeremiah is OK and that everything works out for your trip :headache:

Nabbie - w00t for Nicholas coming through with straightening up his room, LOL! It was a little less humid today, so hopefully that will be coming your way soon. Hope we have a nice weekend while Mari is home. I really want to get out and about while she's here and do some fun stuff.

Welcome home, Mony!

Sorry for your loss, BBN

Nab, yay for the kids cleaning their rooms. My DD daughter turned into little miss homemaker overnight some years ago  She washed the patio door drapes today, but someone (?) hung them up inside out, LOL.

Pumba, new truck sounds lovely. I am 5'6" and have trouble getting into those high ones. (Moo, since when are you above average height, LOL?)

MP, dang, things seem to conspire against you, I sure hope you can make it on your trip and Chad was unscathed today!

I almost just posted one more workday this week, but then I realized it's actually 2 more :headache:

DD Nicole posted this on FB last night: R.I.P Woody Woodrow Wilskins, March 1995-today. I actually shed a few tears when I read that today. But it was time, really. Hubby told me today he went to the vets last week to fill out paperwork, but they couldnt find it today. When they asked him why he was there, he said you know,I filled it out, but again, they couldnt find it. So with 2 women with pets next to him, he said "to put him to sleep". Apparently much wailing and crying errupted from the ladies next to him for 15 minutes. Well, on his way in to whereever, Woody slipped and fell and couldnt get up and hubby had to carry him. So it was time. Heaven knows I wouldnt want to live past that stage.

On a happier note, I have a 4 day weekend coming up!

lol. Everyone is so worried about Chad. The trip to the Dr. was a waste of time and gas. He just said come back if it gets worse or doesn't get better so they can send him for a CT scan. :headache: So he is going out to mow this morning, we'll see if he gets a headache.

Marita - U.S. women's average height is 5'4 1/2", so at 5'7" I am definitely above average height, as are you!

Sorry to hear that your hubby went through such an ordeal at the vet's office. T=It was touching to read about your DD's FB post about Woody.

MommyP - Hope your hubby is OK :grouphug:

Moo, you are 5'7?? I am 5'6 and I thought you were shorter than me. Must be cause I was wearing heels, LOL!

Last update for DVC budget tomorrow, boss wants to review an analysis, GM wanted a spending update and factsheet update today, all at the same time! One more day and then I get 4 days off, whew!!!

We are on I - 4. Just a few more min. And we will be at the Poly. Yay

Glad you got to go on your mini vacation with out the kids. I'm sure you guys need it. Have fun!!! :woohoo:

First room was ready but it was like the only room in tokelau with a bad view. So we asked if there was anything else. They upgraded us to a lagoon view with a castle view. Yay

Mommy P-- your luck is changing ..... :banana:for you guys.

We just had a wicked storm go though. The rain was so heavy it was white like snow.....and the wind blowing it sideways didn't help.

My hubby and kids are at the Jonas Brothers concert right now. He took them last year too. We saved money with me not going and I am ok with that. I just hope they were in out of the rain when it went though. Mind you they are an hour away maybe they didn't get it I hope. The venue is outside but they have seats under the shelter compared to the ones on the lawn. If the wind blows they are going to get wet.

So, I am a first grade catechist. Its a blur, I don't know how it happened, but it did. Making lesson plans.

purchased books for this sememsters classes, 613.00 worth. Ouch!

All 4 kids went to the dentist, 2 had well checks at the dr., I had a staffing meeting for Matt and the high school that went exceptionally well.

I have so much on my plate this year, I also want to look into Key Club for Matt and what ever else they offer to see what peaks his interests.

Don't count on much from me than an occassional check in.

Yay! Mommy P for that awesome view! Lucky Duck!

Nab, the Jonas Bros just came through here yesterday or the day before, something like that. Todays commotion is Eminem and Jay Z.

morning everyone...

It is only 80 so far ...they are hoping that the heat leaves today......tomorrow with EARL coming up the coast the temps should drop to tghe 70's....I can deal with the 70's but this 90 plus stuff is to much for me....I know I am a Mainiac...

Yesterday we spent at least two hours in the pool with first Ava (then she left) and then my DIL and two grandkids came and we spent it with them....I was parboiled...hahaha.....Our granddaughter decided (with my encouragment) to put her face in the water and then first thing you know she is under water swimming.......She remembered her lessons from last year at a private pool....She was a swimming machine. Owen liked the water about the same age......four....and he is always under water and upside down and around and around......I love it.

No kiddos today......will see you after I do some needed housework.......bye

The kids survived the Jonas Brothers and now we are off today for Nicholas's last baseball tounement out of town.

Should really be home this weekend getting the kids ready for school on Tuesday but what are you going to do. The traffic is going to be crazy too with it being the last long weekend of the summer.

Marita-- hope you don't work your longweekend. Relax!!!

Mony -- you sound like you will be really busy too. Enjoy the weekend at least.

Moo-- Hope Mari makes it home safe.

Pumba-- it is 5 degrees cooler here today so they say but I haven't been out yet to see.

I hope so the boys don't have to play in high humidity. But they are calling for rain today and tomorrow, that is worse for me watching the boys don't seem to mind....

Have A Great Longweekend Everyone....enjoy and stay safe!!

w00t! Mari's home!!! She got home early this afternoon. It's SO good to see her.

Nabbie - We had rain yesterday and it's cool and windy today. It's probably blowing your way, LOL!

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend :)

My teeth are chattering. I can't believe how much the temperature dropped. 62 out at the moment. I am actually going around the house and closing windows.:sad2:

Spent the day working outside.

Took Mal to see who she got for her first grade teacher, she has a teacher both boys had for Kindergarten.

Plus on her first try, she learned how to ride her bike without training wheels. I tried a few times before, but she just did not want to learn, so I decided to wait until SHE was ready. Today she asked me if I could teach her, so Tim and I went out there with the intention of taking turns running down the street with holding on to her, I didn't get three houses down the street and she was doing it. Whew!

Hope you eastcoasters are able to dodge and trouble from Earl.

Moo: Glad Mari made it home safely.

Mony, wish it would cool down a bit here too, but not to 62, brrrrrrrrrr! Yay for Mal's bike riding. I used to love that as a kid (many many moons ago!)

Moo, YAY for Mari being home. 3 more months till Chris gets home again. It's beginning to look like we will go on the cruise after all.

Well, I had today off and set my late alarm for about 8am, since I hate wasting a day off with sleeping. But I stayed up till 2:30 last night and was just too tired and ended up sleeping till 12:30:scared1: But i guess I needed it. Still hate wasting the time....

Read the paper for a while, then worked on a work project that was kind of fun to work on, but did NOT turn on my work email till after 5pm. Nicole vacuumed most of the house, I finished up with the dining room and my room. Also handwashed more dishes. That doggone dishwasher repairman BETTER show up tomorrow,it will be the 3rd Saturday of waiting. But hubby is home tomorrow and he assured me it would happen.....
Also attempted to clean the beige stovetop without much success. I need hubby's muscle power to do that. I even got the best cleaning product, no sucess. DO NOT EVER BUY A BEIGE FLAT TOP STOVE TOP, STICK WITH BLACK! You can't boil water on it without discoloration!

I was just thinking, what is on TV on Saturdays again late night, and then remembered it;s only Friday, w00t!! 3 more days off. I need to color hair and get nails done and really could do with a haircut too. Hope to get that done.
