BBN, I second the YIKES about the accident and glad everyone is OK. Safety is a big deal at Disney, and recently everyone was asked to pledge not to text while driving. In fact, my GM has a siggy in her blackberry replies that says: This email was not sent sent while driving

Having meals with my DD is nice in therory, but she doesnt get home till 10:30 most nights, and she is a vegitarian and going for fat-free and tofu stuff But we are getting along nicely now, which is the one thing that keeps me from falling back on smoking.

Work still sucks. We had meeting with the new boss today, his first day. The outcome is, call him if its an emergency, otherwise we are on our own. WHich I guess is OK, but I was hoping for a little more support. Oh well! If they move me somewhere else I will be happy. Or I might quit and just do volunteer work and collect retirement payments...

Marita, the futterwacken is the dance done by the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland. I FINALLY watched the movie last night with the family, and was just being a smartypants.


On another note, has anyone seen the new show "Rizzoli & Isles" on TNT? I decided to watch it's pilot because it's based in Boston. Surprisingly, I am rather enjoying it (despite the bad fake-Boston accents!) That is my unsolicited endorsement for the day.

Ugh! What a whirlwind last few days.

We lost power friday night into saturday morning.

Had a family gathering on Saturday, tims side.

Sunday we had family over to celebrate 3 kids birthdays.

My (very well mannered )nephews stayed over and my wonderful sister didn't come and get them until 530pm. (all she had to do was teach a one hour infant massage class and then she wanted to have lunch with her boyfriend and he only had a one hour window) After I worked 11 hours, cooked dinner for them, cleaned up after eating, and took them swimming next door, while she sat on my laptop the whole time. I think I kicked them out around 10pm.

Lets just say, at one point, I had to clean my deck because of dirt balls, smashed vegetables, and spitted out kool-aid stains.

Then my oldest nephew stepped on a rusty nail in the woods and punctured his foot. I am so concerned cause she won't take him to get a tetanus shot. I am not one to tell people what to do, I just am so worried for him at the moment. All I can do is pray.

I still haven't packed.

BBN: wow, glad your clan is safe after that!

MP: Can't believe Ellie is one already!

Nab: Your trip is exhausting me!

MOO: You continue to amaze me. WTG!

Twinks: I think I would be asking them if they would look to see if one is hidden in someones' desk somewhere!

Marita: I have to thank you for introducing me to babylee's trip report. It has also been a big reason why I am still not packed for my trip in 3 days.

Pumba: I was thinking of you during my last two days of entertaining.

PJ: Happy back to work, and I know it will be the best for room 213.

Thanks so much for all for the nice comments and your support over the last year and a half - I figured that I needed to post some updated photos since it had been quite a while. I'm really just maintaining this summer, but I think the working out is helping because everyone at work keeps asking how much more I've lost. Even though I need to lose quite a bit more, I would be OK with staying at this weight because I feel so good in comparison to how I used to feel

Dh and the boys were in a car accident. They are all ok, but the van is completely smashed up. We think it will be totaled, but the van is only a year old, so there's a chance it might still be worth more than the damage. Glad they are all ok, but what a hassle.

The 18 yo boy that came out of nowhere and hit them was TEXTING. tsk tsk

bbn - I'm so happy that your family is OK. Hope you're able to work things out to get a replacement ve-hickul soon. Texting while driving is now illegal in Michigan . . . there is a fine of $100 for the first offense and I believe it escalates from there.

Isn't it great how BAND CAMP friends are friends for life?

Yes! I actually got to see several friends from band at my class reunion last weekend. But, first and foremost, it is my four friends from Camp Fire Girls who are my friends for life!!! Two of them also happen to have been in band with me. Three of them were on Yearbook together too, so we are intertwined together pretty tightly.

Lynette - My hubby has been watching that new show too. He was just laughing quite a bit while it was on. I guess I'll have to watch it on-line if I want to catch up.

Mony - It made me tired reading your post! Better get crackalackin' on your packin'!

Marita - More retirement package rumors are circulating around my office again lately. People are really getting antsy. The legislature booted a bunch of teachers through a retirement incentive earlier this summer. State employees are probably next.

I'm finally home!!!!

It was a great trip but boy am I tired. I just want to hug my own bed. And have privacy again with a closed door.

Now the un packing begins....and the wash.

Mony -- glad to hear your packed. When do you leave? My sister is down at WDW right now and she says it is hot.

Babynurse-- how scary for your family glad everyone is alright.

Moo!! You look great!! Great job, I know it can be easy at times.

Marita You are doing a great job too not smoking!!! Glad to here that you are not smoking still but I am with others , you got to eat normal food too.

Hopefully I will have some pictures soon. Over all great trip.

Few problems with the trailer, blown fuses, leaking toliet and now the rail is coming out of the ceiling where the bed pulls out, and last but not least the cover for the front propane tanks ,strap on one side is tied down . Goning in for repairs.

We did 10,260 kms round trip......nice to be home

Hey, I have Taco Bell for dinner the last 3 days, and today we had a taste testing from our Convention chefs where they had the most amazing turkey meatballs ever! And I am not a turkey fan, I thought EEWWW! But I tasted that and had to go get more,and going to see if I can get the recipe. If I do, I will share with my Disfriends here

Mony, woohoo on getting packed That trip report from what I am reading so far tonight is getting a bit confrontational from some people, i hope it doesnt get shut down!

Wish I was going to be there with you again I'm so bummed not to have a WDW trip on the horizon. I'll probably just have to make do with local travel for a while (hopefully Renaissance Festival in the next few weeks). Mari and I are thinking about doing a trip to the new Hawaii DVC, but I will probably let her know that that will have to be a 30th birthday trip in two years. It may be that long before I can save up the points for a nice room for a decent amount of time and the $$ for airfare . . .

morning everyone.

The sun is out and I am sitting here eating my breakfast......it is one cup of banana nut crunch cereal....yup only one cup but I love this stuff so I will abide by the rules..

Today is my friday....YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEE

last night went to Margaritas with my daughter and granddaughter......our gd turned 21 and she had her first legal margarita.......she was not of the type she got which was sour apple....YUCK to me....I had a diet coke ....hahaha.

this weekend is the balloon festival and the weather is supposedly going to be A OKEY......hope so because the balloon people come from all over the US.....some are the specialty balloons and will be all over the place because of their size......hope for the best for all coming ..

I am sitting here in my night shirt.......what a wonderful way to start the day....I had my breakfast and enjoying the coffee .....

Safe travels to you and hope you have a great WDW vacation......We may head out to NH tomorrow to visit hubbies brother and my fabulous sil and family...When you have such a great extended group of friends and family...life is good...we are very lucky...

Listen to the noise.......NOT A THING.......hahaha.....My neighbor went down for the morning balloon launch and she said most of them went up.....I slept until 7:30.....I loved it..

Off to the inlaws to pick Buddy up today. The kids are excited. Hannah had a black t shirt on this morning and she changed it. I asked her why and she said it was because she wanted to pickup Buddy and knows I don't like the cat hair on them with black shirts. That girl is alwasy thinking.

Buddy has been there almost 6 weeks he might not want to come home.

Hubby put the pictures in the computer last nigth to show his parents, so I will be able to show you some soon too.
