Great pics, Nab!, I agree, you really have to see it in person. I still remember pulling other people's kids away from the edge, LOL. I have this crazy fear of falling.

Moo, I agree with long work week. Next week we get to redo budget again, and the following week is another forecast. Just doesn't end!. TGIF indeed. I am thinking of potentially making some stuffed peppers for dinner tomorrow, I haven't cooked in a while.

New boss started this week, it really feels good to have someone available to bounce things off of! I know him from before, he's a good guy. With 8 hotels, his time is going to be very limited, but at least its something.

We saw a lot of these tomato truck along the highway in California. Lots of tomatoes on the side of the road too. Just a weird site.

Marita-- I know and people would let there kids lean over the watch tower I was so afraid for those kids.

Hope the new boss means less work for you. Glad to here your eating better too. Have a relaxing weekend.

Nab, when I was at the GC, they kids were just playing at the edge of the canyon without any guard rails. I just went :scared1:

New boss wont mean any less work, just hopefully more support when I need another opinion, which in itself is a big thing.

I predict I will sleep until noon tomorrow!

Hopefully I will be sleeping in too. But I really should get back to my regular time or the kids will be sleeping for school in a few weeks. Have to get to church on Sunday too.

That being said I am going to bed....I will post more pictures tomorrow if the family lets me. Hubby goes back to work on Monday night so they might want to go and about town , I do need groceries too.

Last edited by NAB; Yesterday at 11:27 PM. Reason: Ok , off to bed....I feel like I am hogging the thread . Where is everyone? Night all.
We were just waiting for your photos, Nabbie!!! Love seeing them :)

My friend Debbie and I went for massages yesterday (that was my birthday gift to her) and out to lunch. After that, I pretty much just read some books I picked up from the library. Very relaxing day.

:confused3Happy Sunday to everyone! It's rainy and a bit chilly here today...feels like Fall is already here! But we're having a relaxing day at home, so it's kinda cozy and nice. We started our day with my favorite hymn at Mass this morning: Ode to Joy. It's one the kids like too, since each of them can play it (Natasha on guitar, Boris on viola). :goodvibes

This week is the kids' last week of summer vacation. :sad1: This summer went by so quickly! Natasha and I went back-to-school shopping the other night and bought her supplies and a few outfits. We still need to settle on a bag for her books. The options at Justice are not very well made, and are definitely NOT big enough....I think we'll probably end up at LL Bean. Boris has NO interest in a new backpack, and has said he doesn't care what I buy him for the first day of school either. Boys! I know it's going to be a chore to get him to pick out school supplies like folders and notebooks. But I think it's best for them to pick out the stuff they're going to have to live with for the next 10 months.

NAB, thanks for posting your pics! Looks like y'all had a great time! I can't believe how grown up Hannah is, or how big Nicholas has gotten! I think the last picture I saw of them was your Christmas picture.

Moo, one of our games won't open for me. I keep trying, but I get a message that says to "Try again after some time".

Marita, here's hoping that your new boss lessens the stress at work!

This was no normal ferris wheel it rocked on rollers .....it was crazy

Hannah loves Sponge Bob...me not so much. He really had her hair a mess after this picture because he pulled her pony out with his nose....she thought it was pretty funny though.....
Hannahs2010VacationPictures1443.jpg

This is my mom...this guy was a hoot to watch. He was still and serious one minute and dancing and making faces the next. ..
Hannahs2010VacationPictures1449.jpg

Universal was not our favourite , loved the backstage tour. Got to see Wisteria Lane from Housewives that was cool. And they were taping Parenthood so we had to be quiet in spots. Hubby and Nicholas went after us and they said they saw the back of T.J Craig ? riding a bike away. This one you also get to see King Kong 4D and he shakes the tram. That was cool. They have guys on the side lines hitting you with big water guns. I was hit a few times because the kid in front kept saying hit me then he hide behind me...Hannah of course that this was really funny. All you could do was laugh.

This park was very pack in a small spot. We went out to the City Walk after only doing the backstage tour, Shrek 4D and the animal show. Hubby got fed up too and they went to a movie for the afternoon on the City Walk. Had to stay because we were on a bus tour , the girls shopped.

Nabbie - More great pics. Thanks for posting! I agree about that Sun Wheel - it was pretty intense! We wished we had gone in the stationary car!!!

You'll have to take and post a photo of Hannah with her bear :) Love her custom-made ears!

Lynette - Looks like you finally got to play that stubborn game on Lexulous. It bugs me that the archives still aren't fixed :(

We talked with Mari tonight - she'll be coming home Labor Day weekend. Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!! Her boyfriend can't come as he has to work, but it'll be great to see her and our grandpuppy.

Great pics, Nabbie! Luckily we never rode that ferris wheel! And we totally missed Toon Town and DTD too.

The pic of Hannah in the silver cap reminds me of when I was young, except mine was red, LOL.

We never made it Hollywood or Universal last fall, we only had one day in CA, but I drove through Hollywood Blvd. in a taxi once on a business trip in the 90's, does that count, LOL? My hotel room had a view of the Hollywood sign. That was only my one and only first class trip on a plane, they don't do that anymore either, not that I go on any business trips these days. Glad you mom could go with you. I call my mom every Sunday these days. It's a comedy, nobody can understand what the other one says.

Moo, YAY for Mari coming home. Nicole is planning a trip with a girlfriend to Germany and France in November, so she won't be going on the cruise with us if we go, but the cruise is not decided yet. But I'm thinking I really need to get away, but hate to spend the money.

Lynette, sorry about your kids going back to school, I think you are in the minority in that department, LOL.

Marita-- I can see you in the hat like that. Red was always your colour. Glad you get to talk to your mom. She is doing better now?

Moo-- I will take a picture for you later. Now when Hubby puts it on the computer is another thing....I need to learn how to do that. I have scanned pictures before and then lost them somewhere because I didn't know where I saved them too. :lmao: Woohoo for Mari coming home.

Lynette-- our kids go back the day after Labour Day so we have 2 weeks left. I hear you on the boy thing. Hannah is so excited still picking out even pencils. Nicholas is whatever. He still is using his pencil case from grade one which was the Hulk.... well that is when he is using it since he carries a very small pencil in his pocket and that is what he uses. It drives me crazy.

My sister just got back from WDW , she said it was so hot there. I told her it would be in Aug, even Sept. Hope Mony isn't too hot.

Where is Pumba? Miss her morning posts.

hello.......I want it to be known that I did some posts and the DIS ate them...geesh.
Hope this one works......The photos are amazing....as I probably wont ever get to that side of the US .....cause the ground may shake under my feet......hahaha......but seeing your photos ...thanks so much..

Today it is sort of raining .yucky type....but still muggy and damp.

I am tired though.......we went to a cookout in NH on Saturday and the traffic going thru Hampton Toll booth was horrible....BUT the traffic going to Maine was worse....so we stayed in NH until almost dark so we wouldnt have to worry about stopping and going.

Hope you are all okey and have a great day

LETS SEE IF THE DIS EATS THIS ONE !!!!!

Hannah got to pick the ears, hat part and patch that they iron on. Then she has her name and 2010 on the back in gold. They did have a matching black hat with the same fur around it but she like the purple.

The flag ship store for Build a Bear is at Downtown Disney. It is two floors. They carry outfits for the bears like the one Hannah got which was Winnie the Pooh, it comes with a hat with Winnie's ears etc. I really like the Eeyore one. This was on of two bears she got. She also got the white cub one in Vegas. That is the only place you can get the two she got so they are special. Just like the one we got last year which was the Lobster that we got in Maine. We heard there is a cow you only can get in Texas so we will have to try for that one another trip.

We ate there....if you wanted something you put up the Stop Forest Stop sign. You never had one waiter they all took care of you. It was so good. This was on the City Walk but we saw one over by DisneyLand and in San Francisco.
