Marita: I am so proud of you! I'm sure you are proud of yourself as well. I hate hate hate the smell of smoke now. I'm glad I developed such an aversion to it, cause its probably the only thing that has kept me away from it for so long. When people walk by me in public smelling like an ashtray I cringe, I hope I never smelled that way.

I started a suitcase yesterday. Felt good.

Packing is so much easier when you go a time of year that is seasonally opposite of what you are currently exposed to. Does that make sense?

I will have my laundry caught up daily cause I want to pack everything that we are wearing right now.

Off to Orientation!

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Jeez, Mony, stop hogging the thread. :rolleyes1

I have nothing to contribute other than a hearty hello to y'all. I just decided I'd post so that Monica doesn't develop some sort of paranoia. ;)

Carry on!

I sign my name to this post. Ty.

Yes, my son said that John Mayer and Train performed in the Palace while they were there. The kids kinda wanted to go to the concert instead of VBS or maybe after. :rolleyes1

First day was good. I sat and listened to people speak and it was really good and motivating. It was only a half a day. Yesterday was an all day 8-3:30 meeting with the Special Ed. people giving us the lowdown and some suggestions. It was helpful to me since I know NOTHING!! I am going to the Open House tonight. I can't wait!! Wish me luck!!

Yes the packing makes sense to me , shorts instead of pants, no winter coats, sweaters etc. = less in a suit case.

Allie-- Good Luck I know you will love your new job !!!

You post pirate! Don't you have some pictures to post over yonder? Shirley you have some you'd like to share?

Pumba, we're having the same hot, humid weather here. I don't mind it though...I'd rather have this than cold weather and snow.

Moo, I have to say that I really look forward to playing our Lexulous games...I usually check in during my lunchtime at work, and it's a nice diversion in the middle of my day. :goodvibes (That goes for you too, Mony!)

Hi Shirley! welcome to the thread.;)pirate::rolleyes::littleangel:

Aha! Lurky McLurkenstein! Where've YOU been? And don't give us any of this nonsense about raising kids and running a household. How's your trip planning coming along? Got any deets to share? popcorn::

Had to let some of yous post before I would post again. Gee wizards, I almost got my tick back........

Orientation was not what I thought it would be but at least I know that I know what I am doing.

Still not officially a level II, very frustrating.

I didn't have a form filled out to turn in because they didn't include it in my packet, now I have to drive back down to WSU in the morning with my kids in tow (35 miles one way) to drop it off at the lady's office so she can take the hold off of my account that will allow me to register for Fall classes. And the hold is only because the system is slow and hasn't posted the psychology class grade I just took. Again, very frustrating.

Off to play lexulous so Lynt cant actually do something tomorrow at work.....

Good Morning! :cool1:

Sorry I've been MIA. You know me. I come and I go. :upsidedow

It's been really busy around here. I've been watching my cousins little girl for the summer. So that's one more little person to deal with. Ellie is almost walking. Some days she will walk from thing to thing all day and some days she wants nothing to do with it and crawls. We're plugging along with school.

After holding at 130 for months, I have begun a slow decline in weight again.

Chad and I are heading for WDW in 27 days. We are staying at the Poly with dining. Not free. It is cheaper, as AP holders, to use a HUGE room discount(42%) and pay for dining. We are SO excited to get away by ourselves! Last year for our away trip we brought Ellie and Isaac. This year we have no baby so we are off by ourselves. Can't wait to NOT push a stroller and to NOT have to take someone to the bathroom every time we sit down at the pool or to eat.

I skimmed back a bit.

Looks like Na[/B]b is on a cross country trip. Moo had a birthday.Mony is training for a hopeful future 5k. Marita is trying to give up the smokes. (good for you) and some pop ins from a few others.

Hello......got alot done today.....pastries are in the fridge......of course the fridge had to be emptied of EVERYTHING so I could fit in 8 dozen pastries and three large containers of salads......and hubbies Shrimp Dip....I havent made my dip yet or mixed the pasta or macaroni salads up yet....will do that tomorrow morning...all I have to do is bring stuff up from the basement pick up the finger rolls tomorrow, made the left over stuff and vacumm one more time.....put the bedroom in order.bring up the dog kennel cause she is going in the spare bedroom for the afternoon.......that way she can stay home and not go to the fat farm....
So tomorrow is D day...or F day......family is always great...

Pumba, I dont remember what is the reason for this big party?

Hi, MP, good to see you over here again

I took the day off today and tried to look up retirement pay, very frustrating, never got the results i was looking for.

Funny how quitting smoking has totally changed the relationship with my daughter, now all of a sudden she is sweet as can be. Still very hard on me though, i need to go back for a redo for the laser thingy (2 free follow up included in original price)

Come one and all and join Nebo' trippie, always great!

Relaxing, boring day here in my neck of the woods. I had my tires balanced and rotated this afternoon and picked up a few groceries. Other than that, I've just bee reading and relaxing. Ahhhhh!!! And vacation for a few days starts on Monday!

Marita - I'm not surprised your daughter is being so nice - she LOVES that you're smoke-free! I would have felt the same way when I was younger.

And Happy Birthday to your son!

MommyP - Nice to see you here! But I always keep up with you over on FB.

Lynette - You're up!

Moo, boring day here too. I'm avoiding work, too stressful, so I'm stressing about that :headache:

DS got a surprise today. He got promoted to 1st Lt. yesterday (automatic after 2 years if you aren't kicked out before that) and birthday today. He went to the office today to prepare for a presentation he has to do tomorrow, and while there, this other guy mentions to the commander that he got promoted yesterday and birtday today. The commander says to DS, how about a trifecta?" and calls him to his office. He is getting promoted again! He was told a couple of weeks ago he was selected to train in the command post, and today the commander told him he was getting another promotion to assistant deputy squadron commander, and he hasnt even started training for the command post position yet!

DS son says he has no idea why, but he is now about 11 months ahead of normal career path schedule! The last 2 promotions dont come with money, just position advancement, but the 1st Lt promo came with an extra $800/month! Nice raise...

Smoking may not kill me now, but I think malnutrion will. I am eating so many pretzel sticks that im not hungry for food

Marita the party was just for the "Halibut" ....we had a great time and 32 people were here ....I may of missed some one to count because we went to the Er last night with hubby.....he had a gallbladder attack...we went at quarter of nine and didnt get home until 2 am.......he was supposed to have an ultrasound today but the hospital didnt call for him to come in......stupid .
He does feel better today....but NOW I am dragging my butt...I mean that ...I got two hours of sleep by the time we calmed down .....so woke up to the alarm because all the stuff I was supposed to do last night had to be done this morning.....we got all of the stuff done and everyone is gone and my house is almost back to normal....
I did take a sip of my pepsi and missed my bottom lip and now have a big drop on my white shirt......NOW WOULD THIS HAD happened if it was the purple shirt or the dark blue one..noooooooooo
Tell your son that his cyber Aunts are happy and very proud of his promotions.....way to go ....:woohoo:

wow Pumba, so sorry about your hubby's gall bladder attack, I understand they are very painful!

Glad you had a good time at your party though.

Im thinking of telling DD to get pregnant so I can babysit when I hang up this lousy job, LOL. I dont think she'll be too enthused about that, and nobody special in her life right now anyway. She''s out and about somewhere now. I forgot how nice it was not to have to worry about that cause you dont even know if the kids are out when they dont live at home.

first rain and now humid sun.......hmmmmmmm rain...sun.......okey I will take the sun anytime...

Got up early and put the trash out ... we had alot from the party ...We had a great time and got some phone calls thanking us for doing this and how much fun it was.....that makes me feel GREAT...

Thinking right now i should put in a load of laundry before ms. Ava comes.....I love that kiddo to pieces.

Have a good day everyone.

Oh goody. BBN and I had a pool. She owes me a diet coke. :woohoo: Silly nurse thought Celery was Most Likely To Get Her Nose Pierced.

Where haven't I been? The Pacific Northwest. Otherwise I have been on a Three Hour Tour of the Midwest/Southeast. Kind of like living in a van down by the river only our van wasn't by the river but on the interstate.

I did see some old highschool friends. I mean, they weren't old but friends of long standing. I did exciting things like children's science museums and tie dyeing and watching my baby learn to climb stairs. :scared1:

Trip planning is coming along. My sister got the Free Dining Code since we are going in the blacked out dates soo HOOOYAH! for us. I am now at the stage of rethinking my dining choices for no good reason.

Marita- congrats and good luck on the not smoking!:dance3:
Lynt- Glad you are hanging onto summer, sorry about your July events.

How about a Chikfila brownie? hehe

It's true. Twinkie is a stalker! She might have even been in the Loouhvull area not too longish ago. YAY for me!!!!

MommyP: How exciting to go away sans kiddos!

Everybody: Hi gang :wave2:

Oh yeah...Nebos tr. I should check that out at some point soonishly.

Twinkers! So, you've been bopping around the country, eh? Well, I did hear some rumor about you "getting around".....but I thought that was in reference to you having 37 kids. Whatevs. :rotfl: Sounds like you've had quite the summer yourself! Judging by the ramblingosity of your post, I'd bet someone's about ready for those 37 kids to go back to school. Yes? No? Yes?

Since you were speaking of dining choices, did y'all see that as of March, Le Cellier will be a signature dining experience (read: 2 dining credits)? For dinner only. Which thereby makes it a place we'll only be dining if we're able to obtain lunch ressies. The food was delish, but I am stingy with my dining credits, thankyouveddymuch.

Nursey, I know that you know that I know that you have pictures on that camera of yours. Now git to sharing 'em! If they're not fit for public consumption, PM me for heaven's sake!

MommyP, yay for a grown-ups only trip to see the Mouse! Someday, the DH and I will get around to taking a trip with no kids. :rolleyes1
