Oh, I am an old Days fan too. I forgot about the memorial being this week. Didn't Jennifer come back, along with Kayla? Oh SNAP! Wish I hadn't missed that. :sad2:

Allie, maybe you can catch it on Hulu?

I can't imagine all the swirling emotions over your son's senior pics! I could cry just thinking about it, and my son is only 10!

Yay for Cocoa sleeping thru the night! I remember when we first brought Mojo home...he cried and howled and whined and whimpered. Oy, what a racket he made those first few nights!

What a night! While on my way to my friend's house with dinner to celebrate her birthday, the tie rod on the front wheels of my car broke! My hubby and FIL ended up bringing a wrecker over to haul my car to my hubby's uncle's shop for repair. I'm spending the night at my friend's house after having a late dinner and MUCH wine. She and her hubby will drop me off at my house tomorrow morning so I can get showered before we all go to our boss's daughter's graduation party. Whew!

My kids on their cruise. Sorry if they are huge, I copied from FB

Moo, sounds like an awefull night, so sorry!

I finally got to actually work on the budget today, which is due next Thursday (first pass anyway), still a ton of stuff to do. So new girl and I are going to the office for a while tomorrow. 64 hours s0 this far week and counting......... I honestly have NEVER worked this much in my 38 years at Disney.

Oh gosh Moo had a crazy night and poor Marita is working like crazy. I liked the pics of your kiddos btw marita.

Nab, Lynt, and Mony: I used to watch Days during one brief moment of my life. I remember Bo and Hope and something about a Carly gal. It's funny that some of those characters still get mentioned after all these years later.

Ali: I dont even want to talk about senior pics. Julia's is coming up soon enough!:sad1:

Twink: Great advice? ha

Moo-- how scary. My mom had that happened to her car a long time ago,not fun at all.

Marita-- you should be on that cruise with the kids. You need some down time. I wish I was on a cruise. So good looking kids you got there too.

Lynette-- I won't say anymore ....I have been watching since about 12 , sometimes I wonder why I am still watching. My finger get a good work out with the remote some days.

Babynurse-- where you working last night. You were up pretty late. Thanks for sharing your picture. You know we all like pictures.

Well the sun is not out today. Hubby is sleeping so won't be doing much cleaning today either. Maybe I will curl up with a good book.

Marita - Your kids look like they are having a good time. Wish you could have some down time, but it seems that Disney has other plans for you. :sad2:

Lynette - Thanks, I might try that.

Moo - That's scary stuff. Is it fixable?

Got my paperwork, for my new job, in the mail yesterday. :woohoo: Been filling out forms, got to copy stuff, get fingerprinted, and get it back to them. I'm hoping some of my MMO experience will count, but if it doesn't, it still pays better than what I was making. ::yes::

I used to watch Days too, but when whats her face was possessed I stopped watching.....that was to weird for me. My daddy used to watch Days too and he and his father(my pepere) would compare notes when we went to Connecticut to visit. My dear dad has been gone for 30 years. I cant believe that...
Marita the kids look fantastic on the cruise.....I know they are having a blast. AND YOU WORK TO HARD.......

our kids in our area have been out of school for two weeks...will be three weeks on Tuesday. But we started in August last year and they only used ONE snow day........can you believe that....

I just vacuumed the kitchen floor and now onto the living room..Megara is resting on the chair now cause I tried to clean her up too.....hahaha.

No sun out here either but it is muggy....waiting for the dang thundershowers to hit ....or something.....

Got a call from the lawn person in Florida and he apologized for not geting back to me about when the bill is due and where to send it......I lost the address.....I did pay for one month anyways....he was very nice to chat with on the phone.

Hope you all have a nice weekend .with the exception of Marita ....cause she is going to work.....so relax when you can Marita...

Beautiful and hot gorgeous day today, so be prepared for a great day tomorrow those of you who are east of me.

We did lawn work around the house. We trimmed the buses, I edged, pulled weeds. Whad a tree removed earlier, and the boys shoveled the woodchips and dirt out of there and wheelbarreled it to the woods.

I filled in some low spots and reseeded some patches on the lawn.

I did tend my garden. The neighbor gave me some celery, which I added. I have lots of lettuce and beans - ready for picking. Tomatoes are coming along and the Zuchinni is ready to take the yard over. Oh and the broccoli is almost halfway there.

Love summer gardens!

I did get a lot of sun today. Hope it doesn't hurt later.

The kids brought out an old game, Lilo and Stich Island of Adventures. Its an interactive DVD/board game. I haven't seen them have fun like that in ages. Nice to hear laughter, even from the big kids.

I need to read more about brains. Have a great night.

Yep, the car is fixable, but I'm NOT looking forward to the bill. My hubby says the back tie rod needs to be replaced too. Hope I get my car back early next week. Hubby said it was a very good thing it didn't happen when I was on the highway :scared1: Because the car basically just stopped abruptly.

Marita - Thanks for sharing the kids' photos! They look great!!! Hope you get a little break from work soon :grouphug:

Mony - Your garden sounds wonderful :) We had some great weather here too. Thank goodness it was nice for my boss's daughter's graduation open house because they had it at a pavilion at a local park.

Thanks Moo, there is also cucumbers, green and red peppers, chives, pumpkin, watermelon and cantelope.

Mony - You're making me hungry!! Wish those of us South of you would get some nice weather. Congrats on 6,000! I guess that means you post twice as often as me. :rotfl:

Oh, and puppy pics are up *over there*. ;)

I saw the pictures Alie, very nice.

Nab is a post from 8000.

Went to drop off a book at the library and it was completely barracaded off. There is the Fish Fly Festival going on near it and they are closed for the week for the festival. Really????

Hope they don't penalize me. I have to wait til they reopen on Tuesday.

Then I took the kids for slurpees. Its' still pretty warm here. Hope it cools down some more for sleeping.

Marita those pics make me want to go on vacation.

Unfortunately I think we are cancelling our trip. I knew it was a possibility. Haven't officially decided, but on Monday I think I have to make the dreaded call. The boys know, Mal knows, but I don't think she truly understands.

Mony - Sorry to hear you might have to cancel your trip

We had a pretty dreary, rainy day here today, but the sun is out this evening. Going to load up the bikes and go for a short ride in town :thumbsup2

Well you must have sent the rain my way Moo.....

It was cloudy today with no rain for our soccer game but it was coming down pretty hard with lightening for the baseball game. It got rained out. Our dish even went out for a bit.

Mony-- Sorry about your trip too. Hope you can have a mini trip somewhere just to get away.

Kids have 2 days left. Hannah is excited because it is fun day tomorrow , Nicholas is still trying to get out of going the last two day. Two totally different kids I tell you. Maybe he just doesn't want to see his report card tomorrow. I am scared myself.

Baking banana bread right now and my house smells so good....

MOO HOO on 8,000 posts, Nabbie!

Sorry the rain came your way. We had some super loud thunderboomers this morning.

Hope the kids' last couple days of school go well :goodvibes

Hubby and I went for a short bike ride in town tonight. I would have liked to go longer, but I didn't want to push it. I think hubby's new bike needs an adjustment. It's making quite a bit of noise. I need to get mine in to the bike shop have it tweaked too now that I've ridden it a bit and know what needs to be adjusted.

Hi all,

Finally took a bit of a breather today. I went to the grocery store to get some essentials that hubby never gets, like hair color and face cream (don't know why, I still look old!) and some other stuff, refilled my wine cellar (aka my trunk). Then we went out to dinner with the kids to Kobe Japanese steakhouse and sat at a hibachi table. We all upgraded to filetmignon, it was sooo good! But soo much food, I was totally stuffed and still took home a box full of fried rice and noodles (lunch tomorrow). I was so tired after that, it's a miracle I didnt take a nap, but I still needed to do laundry and shower so I got over the hump.

Maybe after Thursday I can come up for some air!

Mony, sorry about your cancelled trip too.

Nab, MOO HOO on 8000 and turning he page! I stil say my post count is wrong, there is no way I posted more than you

Keeping fingers crossed that we get some good news this week. I haven't called yet!

Oh, I got an email from one of my instructors. She says, and i'm paraphrasing:

"don't care what you got on your final, I'm changing your grade and giving you a 97. You did a fantastic job on your final project. You stayed true to the rubric and was able to wade through all of the examples. I did some tweaking to the rubric for next year and I hope the students can do as well as you did. Can I keep your project for my department portfolio?" I got a B on my final.

I was just floored! I felt like I had no clue what I was doing. I was 1 of 2, out of 42students who is not in level II yet and they all seemed to grasp the material so easily.

Mal had dance dress rehersal tonight. She was so cute. She is growing and doing so much better with her routines. I am a proud mama.

More tornados touching down around here. Scary!

Wow Mony, congrats, that is fantastic!

What call are you waiting for? I guess I am a bit lost with being buriied in work.

Better head off to bed now...
