My goodness I think spring is on the way....what a nice day it was today.

Hannah and I bought both got new spring coats today. Then had to take Nicholas to church to tell the priest his sins. This is for his Confirmation in May. Hannah and I went too since we were there. Nicholas was in there a long time and his penance was a lot he told me what he had to do. Makes me wonder what he told him. :lmao: I am proud that my kids did this , we did the station of the cross last night , church today and mass tomorrow. And the kids did not complain.

Tomorrow is suppose to be really nice too. Hubby has to work the whole weekend. So it is just me and the kids. Maybe I will ask them what they really want to do tomorrow.

today we took the new car out .....it didnt even have the plates on it so hubby had to do that first.....then we drove to portland area and had lunch at a fantastic pizza restaurant....we had the buffet...twelve different types of pizza, and three different types of salads and macaroni and cheese....chilli and then the desserts...I did try the cannoli which I dont care for ...to sweet. So I had an apple pie pizza.....everything is made in that brick oven with the fire going....it is amazing to see this happening..
When we first got up to get our first helping.....Iheard this screaming and there was our son and his wife and our two munchkins......we moved to a bigger table and enjoyed our day....
So now our new car has 120 miles on it....we got the recall papers today....so this is good....they will fix whatever they think is wrong....we didnt have any issues today

so I made a cheesecake today (thanks, Pumba). I thought it looked a bit skimpy in the pie shell. Then I noticed I forgot to add the sweetened condensed milk! SO I scraped the filling back out of the pie shell into the bowl (taking a few pieces of graham cracker crust with it) mixed it all agaon with the condesened milk and pourted it back in the shell. :sad2:

Good thing I wasnt planning this for a party or anything....

Still have to make a topping, but my back hurt by then so I sat down for a bit.

Hi all! We went to Neverland tonight! The dinner was a HUGE success! I am exhausted though. We didn't serve PB&J, but did serve turkey, dressing, green beans, cream cheese potatoes, rolls, and cobbler. We also had fruit and dip on the tables for an appetizer. The kids did a great job performing. I'll post pics *over there* later. Tomorrow is church and then have to help with a wedding shower, and then help w/a senior high devo after church tomorrow night. BUSY!! Nite everbody!!

Allie - Sounds like your dinner was a big success!

Nabbie - Maybe confessing and doing penance will help Nicholas realize that he needs to behave a little better at home  We had a nice day here too :sunny:

I was out and about this afternoon and went to an open house at a new gym. I need to bump up my cardio and thought it might be an option, but it looks like there will be a lot of younger, very fit people working out there in skimpy outfits  The facility was nice, but it wasn't really my kind of place. Not having a swimming pool was a big drawback.

I did happen to find a cool wick workout shirt in my size while I was out shopping. Can't wait to try it out!

Pumba - Is there a diabetic nutrition class your niece can go to? Seems like hearing the information from a dietitian might help give her a wake-up call. You know that old saying, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink! Just like Marita said, people aren't going to do something until they're ready. And you can only do so much to help other people. It took some tough talk from my orthopedic surgeon about knee replacement surgery to finally make up my mind to be serious about losing weight. I am at 140 lbs lost this week :woohoo:

Marita - Sounds like a good Master's degree choice by your son!!! Hope your cheesecake turned out OK :)

Moo--- Woo that must be 1/2 of you now "GREAT JOB!!!" I saw your picture over there , cute and you still have that dress , dare I ask what year that was.

Marita-- Moo is right your son made a great desicion on his future education. You must be so proud.

Allie-- glad you didn't go for the P&j for you dinner. Sounds like it was a great sucess and a lot of work. You made me tired reading that post.

Pumba-- Did you not drive the car because of the recall? If you only drive it that little that car is going to last forever. Do you dirve?

Well off to church, third day in a row....I should be good for the week now. :lmao:

Nabbie - I'm getting there . . . slow but sure! I think that photo was from 1987. I'm pretty sure it was taken at my Grandma's 80th birthday party. My nephew who I'm holding on my lap will be 23 this summer. So it's been a LONG time since I've been that size.

I can actually get that dress on, but it's really tight through the hips.

I've gotten pics off of the camera on to the 'puter, but have a baby shower to put on this afternoon, and then shop for tonight's devo dinner, then church, and then serve dinner to the Sr. High kids. Oh, and DH has a fever and not feeling well. The kids have been congested all week. Hope we don't all come down with something because next week is Spring Break!!! :cool1:

I'll let you know when the pics get over there. ;)

http://www.dillards.com/webapp/wcs/...artServlet?view=20&No=40&N=1590670&R=03196433

I just ordered a new pant suit, what do you think? The jacket lookes white, but it's supposedly celery charm (Hi Cel!). $80 off on sale, but shipping cost me $14 or so, ugg!. Figure I will wear a simple white blouse under it so I can open the jacket.

I have had the Oscars on tv, but I couldnt tell you who won anything, except Mo'nique

Moo......you are truly amazing....that is all of me.....I do have to still try to lose twenty pounds according to the diabetic nutritionist person....Hard to get rid of that.

Nab, I dont drive at all. We had an accident probably 35 years ago as i watched this car go right into the back of us....this was before car seats for the kiddos. So when we get to a busy intersection, I close my eyes. I trust hubby completely but this is my fear. So I feel that a drivers ed class would frown about me closing eyes at intersections.....We didnt drive the new car during December or January because of the ice and snow. Used the truck instead. February was just icky out with rain so these good weather days brought out the new vehicle. He still takes the truck to work on back roads instead of going the interstate. He will call today when he gets home to make an appointment ..

marita, I have done the same thing as you did only with a cake recipe....had to dump it back into the bowl and add the eggs.....we get preoccupied and forget something important.
I will make a cheesecake for Easter ....and a chocolate cream pie that hubby will do.

Marita-- can't see your new suit , it says it is no longer available on this website. I am sure is pretty though. Maybe you bought the last one. :lmao:

I didn't watch the Oscar because I haven't seen any of the movies that were up. I will check to see who won though on the internet.

Pumba-- Yes not a good idea to drive and close your eyes.

It is suppose to get even warmer today. I am loving this. Kids are in their spring jackets that last few days. Sure I probably jinx myself now, I have seen it snow on Easter Sunday before.

Off to the dentist this morning for a cleaning hope they don't find anything else wrong.

Moo, just read that Disney now has a new button recognizing DVC members.

Nothing to report here today, quiet day, and my boat lunch isn't till next week, hopefully it will be warmer by then. Still a bit cool here.

I'm watching the wedding of the Batcholor who ditched the girl he proposed to last season and asked another girl, and it's looking very rainy and stormy (outdoor ceremony)

Afternoons at work seem interminable, blech! I better go get some dinner and get coffee ready for tomorrow.

Thanks, Pumba! I still have a ways to go. And it is getting harder and harder!!! My sister is having her weight loss surgery next month. I may try to do a few days on protein supplements while she is on her very restricted diet to see if I can kick-start things again.

Marita - I also read about the DVC button. Hope your weather warms up soon! We were finally around 50 degrees today. Finally!!!

Nabbie - I haven't seen too many of the movies that were nominated, but I really love seeing what dresses the women are wearing to the Academy Awards. And then I like to read how the fashion reviews come out to see whether the critics loved and hated the same dresses as me! :lmao:

One of my favorites was how amazing Queen Latifah looked.

Moo, I totally forgot to congratulate you on 140 lbs. that is just awesome!! You lost like all of me plus some, LOL (not bragging, I am too skinny)

I watched the Oscars for the dresses too, and anything exciting that might happen (which was NOTHING, I found it boring) The only movie I have seen is Avatar.

Alice in Wonderland made $210 million worldwide opening weekend, W00t! My 401K loves it.

morning everyone...

The sun is out and shining on the floor (Megara is sleeping in her sunbeam)..
I did open the window a wee bit and let the nice cool air come in ...I try to do that every day and let the stale winter house air out.

I watch the show where they say who looked good at the oscars and who was horrible. There was one dress and it looked like she put rose type things on her boopers.....it took away from how pretty she is and the dress could of been...Weird...But at least Mariah Carey was more covered up then usual...

I think I may go for a walk up to the college and back and around its pond....it is pretty in the fall and it is gorgeous in the summer too.....This place is a favorite for people taking wedding photos or any type of photos......hubby took all of our granddaughters graduation photos three years ago...When we took the photos to have them made into bigger ones, Walmart said they were professional and couldnt do it.....I smiled and laughed and she asked a supervisor and then they printed our photos. Saved granddaughter and her mama quite a bit of money by doing them ourselves..

yesterday I cleaned the bathroom top to bottom and all the plants in there and candles...We have candles all thru the house but they are never lit...hubby has always said those are dangerous to have in houses.....Last year half of the residential fires were caused by candles.......
Maybe I will wait for Saturday to take down all the antlers in this front room. They get dustier then anything we own....Especially the moose antlers.....the deer ones for some reason are not as attracted to dust....hahaha...

Hey all!

Marita - of course I'm charming! I hope the suit is nice too. :lmao:

Pumba - don't let your neice bring you down.

moo - wow. keep it up!

nab - I wonder what Nicholas told the priest too. popcorn:: Good thing I'm not Catholic. I'd be too nosy wondering what my family was saying!

allie - glad the dinner went well.

I'm going to a physiotherapist to work on my lower back pain.
I'm sure he's going to tell me to exercise.
maybe i'll actually listen.
:rolleyes1

Hy my login still works!

Jst poking in to say hi. Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Sorry for not coming over much. I have no excuses.

Hope everyone is well.

I am going to attempt a Moooving post old school style.

Weather: rainy

Suppah plans: I have nothing. Really. It is suppah time and I have nooo clue. PB&J? maybe chicken nuggets??? Sigh.

Children: Adorable as always. The princess baby has started smiling. Soooo freakin' cute. I kept meaning to take and post some pictures. And send out thank you notes  and cook suppah.

Texting: I have cool new phone so tell the Pope to watch out. I will be texting him daily about weather, suppah and children. After I get my teenager to teach me how to use all the cool new features:rolleyes:

HI MONY.

HI CELERY.

HI PUMBA, MOO AND MARITA.

and of course

a big shout out to all my deer friends, colts fans, martha stewart fans, buble fans, bubble bath fans and the rest of you meddlesome kids
my dreck and drivel time is exceedingly limited these days.:teacher:

Twinkie--- old school is better then no school. I'm sure you have your hands full at times.

Speaking of school it was report card day. Hannah was so excited this morning because of it. She is a funny child. But she should have been excited she is an "A" student. Nicholas he is a "C" student. He asked us tonight why we don't go though her report card with her like we did with him. :confused3 We did praise his B marks but he really didn't care one way or another really. Neither teacher wanted an interview either so I guess they think it is ok. I was never an A student but I did my best. That is all I want him to do.

Hubby was off today so we went to the casino, we broke out even for been there an hour and playing slots not to bad. Would have been better if we were ahead though.

Marita-- I watched the Bachelor wedding too. I said I would be pretty mad at that wedding planner for not covering up the alter knowing it could pour on me. Or at least got them some umbrellas. The guest looked cold and wet. Loved her dress and flowers though.
