Thanks bbn and Allie! As expected, my weight has commenced bouncing around until it settles in again. Too much sodium over the weekend (cherry maple beef jerky . . . yum).

I'm still trying to figure out what to make with that chicken, I decided to bake it until I figure it out.

I had to drop a bundle on some new tires tonight. Grrr. NOT the way I prefer to spend my hard-earned $$!

I'm dead tired. Cant decide if I should take a nap or not. Just made a cheesecake, but without topping. I may or may not add that some other time, too tired to make it now.

Frigging forecast week again, tomorrow will be a late night.:headache:

....ever since they changes....our message/signature board,

.....i ' ve been dazed & confused....so if i missed an important message,
..i am really sorry. [ i was never meant to be technically advanced,
]

i bet..mp & twinkle...is having a great time playing mommy? :thumbsup2

...on the dvc site, someone mentioned this david's vacations site.

..i guess he a professional renter, buying & reselling points. disney will
hear from me about this. in effect , non members can get revs &
we can't. [ ha! the more....i read, the more i seeing the real picture.]

& alot reports..how these non-members are tearing up the joint.
again, i will be contacting disney.

oh, some of these dvc operators..like playing games...[ placing you
on hold, & leaving you. when my wife called on the first day, she
told her that she could try..next year. in the future, we are going to
get their id's.....& start reporting.

good news, though..our....original guide is back, :yay:

thanks..for the encouragements, with the kids, :flower3: . * they have
no pictures of themselves, so the oldest asked me..to get some
for them. [ i am already working on next year.]

...backie?....i wish you could have seen how much inspirations disney
give these kids....& this is why.....i am a disney fan/supporter.

kids are durable...and over come unbelievable odds. this is really important
for me....because how my old derby was destroyed by greedy/nasty
adults. [ the only good thing?..whenever one of the kids..see me,
they go out of their way to say "thanks".

ok..just like to say, as a warning...dr.dew & the likes...celebrity rehab..
shows...are entertainment. not real in supporting human beings in needs.
it is my opinion, of being very, very sad...making $$$, off human
misery & sufferings.

....one point , i tell new clients/pts...about their requests. first , by law,
...i can only address /act within my capability of a rn. nothing more.
secondly, if they asked for something, that i know will result in
physical/emotional problems/damages..then i am obligated to refused.
this is call "ethics". [ to do no harm].

pssst, for first-timers, we do not take control over their life. that would be
wrong. { the only advice i can tell how to live one life is only what is
right for me. they themselves, must decide by their own value system,
what is right for them, and the changes they are needing to accomplished
to get what they desire out of life. }

contary to hollywood......, we do not give meds, to control an individual.
that would be morally wrong. the purpose of all medications are to
support/correct your chemical balances..so you can make the best
choices, in your best interests.

..your rights end..when your words/actions.."begin" to hurt another human
being. how do you know?..when the other person informs you.

..i wish ..you could have seen me "work"...sat. night. our night nurse
did!....like in many cases, they send those acting out to us. the person,
was so mad..he had stopped his all his meds. stopped eating . [ low
blood sugar makes a person irritable] & of course, we are non smoking.

..he was ready to hurt anyone near him. then i got the honor, of
taking over....[ the night nurse, was wanting to give meds.] but by
the time, i got thru with some very basic interventions, all of
these problems were resolved. [ he not only resumed his scheduled
meds, but an hour later asked for a prn. .., also started eating
( like a horse), ..and..it was very important for him to make amends
to me...how much he appreciated helping him. our night nurse
just.... ..@ the nursing station, how you do that?

ps, i don't play games with people. especially sick or people suffering
thru crises. and i never go outside my rn realm. { as a military naval
officer.....& combat rn, esp., being male..........i was given special
training....like atls - { advanced trauma life support. } only md's
can be certified, & most fail...but even though....i am not certified,
i passed every phase. {the test was a killer}.

these tv's shows, really bother me..for all the harm they are most
likely doing. it's sad, across the boards....to hear how 'low" human
beings..are willing to go ..for attention.

however, for how bad..things are....improvements, are available &
are quite simple. i can't stress how important, living life within
a positive - value system, can be...for the person..for their family,
& for the community. & our future well being.

which brings me, to my major point...this is why i' m..always happy
to come "here". this is the way to find individual happiness , sharing the
day to day happenings & blessings of a wonderful life. you gals are
right on target...something the others..could really benefit from.

...[ i '' m not kidding, ..as you can imagined....a night nurse don't get
to interact much with our clients. she was so  shocked that
we were able to resolve his problems. ha! i told her, ...stay with us,
& you'll see..we do it all the time. mental health nursing is quite
easy , * if you understand the "dynamics"...you need to operate from.

...remember, i was taught by some of the best. & it should not end
with me.

good morning friends.

I have not decided what to do today. Maybe nothing but MAY take a walk outside. My BS this morning was high and it may of been the chips and dip I ate last night for a snack.....a big snack......so wont be doing that any time soon.
The sun is out and it is 14 degrees. but it was mild out so may wait another hour and then go for a walk around the neighborhood.
Hope you all have a great day

Happy Ground Hog Day....

Well the darn thing saw his shadow so we will have 6 more weeks of winter. As if I didn't already know that.:lmao:

It is wacky hair day today. Hannah has a head full of ponytails and some coloured purple or green with gold glitter over the whole head. Nicholas has ski club over after school so he can't do anything because he has to put his helmet on and we dont' want colours in his helmet. Made that mistake it his skating helmet one year.

Who every decided the days in which these things happen didn't think it out well. Tomorrow is hat day.... they have Mass in the morning ( that takes up a good portion of the morning) and won't be able to wear hats then. Friday is p.j day and winter Carnival. They will not be wearing p.j's in school they will have snow pants on outside. :sad2:

/
Boards are really acting up today. :badpc:

Of course I wanted to come read about the Bachelor too...I guess no loss there.

Guess I will have to go find something else to do....

Hi Allie :wave2:

OK, I was supposed to have lunch with CEL today since she is just over the river from me. ;)

Well, DS called, as the bus was driving down the street, saying he didn't feel so good. His tummy felt rough. So gave him some time to recover. In the meantime, DD calls from the nurse's office to say that she has been seeing a bright white light in her eye since Thursday, but kept forgetting to tell me. Nurse says she's fine, but would keep an eye on her. I decide to call CEL and cancel our lunch due to my family's illnesses. When I hang up DS comes down and says he feels ok to go to school. So, I take him to school and call CEL and tell her lunch is back on again. Not 30 minutes later, DD calls and says she feels sick and feels like she is going to throw up. Once again, I have to call CEL and cancel. :headache: Well, DD just threw up. :scared: Found out that her teacher threw up several times while he was teaching yesterday. :confused3 Um, can't you call a sub for stuff like that? Anyway, we're healing here in AL.

Sorry again CEL! Sandy please tell CEL that I am not a total nutcase, K? ;)

Hi NABBERS!!! :)

Hi NABBERS!!! :)

Wow Allie your having quite the day. Hopefully it won't be like the movie Ground Hogs Day it keep repeating it over and over.

Hope you don't catch what the kids have. To bad you missed going out with Celery.

Nicholas got his Hep.B shot and meningococcal shot today. Now he says he has a headache and everything else. He is a real drama queen when it comes to needles. He came home at lunch gave him some Advil. Total him to lay down for a half hour. Not even 5 minutes later the stereo is blaring and he is on the computer. Back to school he went for his afternoon classes. I am such a mean mom.....

Way to be NAB!! :thumbsup2

I think she is upstairs sleeping. I have finally put two and two together :teacher:, and I think she is getting migraines. Called the Dr., and they said they were booked for today. I said fine, just have the nurse call me. She has always thrown up with her severe headaches, but never saw the "light" before. That was new today, and made me think..... I got migraines when I was around 13, DD is 11 1/2. I always had the aura in some form. I think that my be what happened to her today. :confused3

In a way, I hope it is a migraine, cause you can't "catch" those. :upsidedow

Migraines are terrible I get them and you do get an upset stomach but then when you throw up it seems to get rid of it fast. At least for me. Can't force it either or it won't work. It has to run it's course.

I need dark and have really heavy duty pills from the doctor if they get really bad. Hope she feels better soon.

Nicholas has snowboarding tonight too. So when I take his supper money to him after school for that I will see how he feels. I have a feeling he will be all better. But tomorrow will be another story I am sure , he will have a sore arm. Which I am sure he will ,but can't do anything about that. Worse part is he has to get the second dose in June for both shots.

allie - I know you're not crazy! I totally understand. Today was super busy and I ended up only taking a few minutes to run to subway and came back and ate at my desk.
we'll make it work sometime!

nabbers - keep being that mean mommy! :lmao: I hope Hannah stays sweet when she gets that age.

Nurse called back this afternoon while I was picking up DS from high school. Yep, it's migraines, so.................now I have homework. :sad2: I now have to keep a journal every time she has an episode. Luckily, they don't come very often. Although, I think if they would look back at their records of how many times I have brought her in thinking she had strep (severe headache, sick to stomach) and it was negative, I think they were migraines. :scratchin Oh, and they told me to give her one Tylenol, 2 Advil, and 1 Phenergan (which he prescribed today - email'd in.....YES!!) Yep, that should take care of it. ::yes::

I will have to take her in IF she starts having them 2 - 3X a week. :scared1: She probably won't have another one for months. ;)

I'm just glad to know it wasn't the stomach bug. Now I will prolly go to work tomorrow and catch something from my germ monsters tomorrow.

Yikes about the migraines, Allie. DD gets them too, but I think it has gotten better over the years. Hope she improves.

Another forecast me for tonight, and a big meeting late tomorrow afternoon that we still need to work on some. The fun never ends............ :confused3

Allie - Sorry to hear your DD has migraines. I can usually stop mine if I take 3 Tylenol right away with a lot of water or tea. Be careful with that phenergan. My friend took it recently and it really zonked her out. It is an antihistamine so it can dry you out too.

Nabbie - I was bummed that one of the red team wasn't eliminated tonight. I sure didn't expect the person with the medical problem to be Miggy.

Marita - I'm having a heck of a work week too. Have to leave for a work meeting Saturday morning @ 6:30. Does that help you feel any better? ;)

6:30 am on a Saturday????? Yes, that does help some :rotfl: Leaving at 6:30 any day would be a nightmare! I would totally have to have hubby at home to wake me up or just stay up all night

I'm taking her in to school when I go to work, and we are having trouble getting her up. :sad2: Hope she gets moving soon. Good thing is - she always sleeps in her clothes. Don't judge. Hey, she came up with the idea and it cuts down on the fights in the morning, and it helps her get ready faster, so I'm good with it. Just hope she gets moving soon.

I'm just glad we know what it is now, and can treat it.

morning everyone.

Yesterday I got involved with keeping my dear niece on the right track for exercising and eating.......she is having a hard time . Thinking she is eating healthy when in fact it is wayyyyy over what she should have. She is being tested again in three weeks for her fasting blood sugar. So will try to see if we can get her on a good choice food wise...and some movements with her body. I needed a motive to keep my body moving too......we went to the local mall and walked around the perimeter three times and got a total of one and a half miles.....back hurts a little..but will try again tomorrow......I needed a day to get the rest of my act together...

Hope that the migranes will not be an issue every month as did for me and my family......alot of hormones were our problem.....Keep track like your doctor said....
