Of all the days to be too busy at work to check the thread!

CONGRATS TO THE TWINKIE FAMILY!!!

One of my sister's names is Katherine, but she goes by Kathy.

How fun for you, Lynette, to share Katherine's birthday! My secretary and another friend both had birthdays yesterday too.

Thanks for sharing the news, bbn :)

Nabbie - Have a nice visit with your mom! I'm going to try to have my hubby finally take some progress pics of me this weekend.

Marita - Just keep working on the not smoking  It may take a while for the Chantix to kick in!

Tornado Allie! Yikes. It sure does seem early for tornados. Like Nab said, we don't usually get them up north until spring. Stay safe!!!

We had tornadoes down here too yesterday. Luckily, Disney and my house are fine.
DS is scheduled to his his first ever real missile alert down way far behind an 8,000 lb hydrolic door tomorrow. But snow is in the forecast, which may mean roads are too bad to travel way out yonder. If it doesnt heavily snow tomorrow, he will go in, and if it heavily snows Sunday, he might get stuck for a couple of days there till the roads clear. He will be 3 hours away from base just to get home.

Found out tonight that DH and DD are going to see Avatar tomorrow, so I said I wanted to see it too. DD said I could come

Been working on a presentation file for a meeting Monday morning all day. Powerpoint is not my friend, even more so in 2007 version, and I am totally frustated! Plus the 2007 graphs are boring and ugly!

Time to watch Conan's last show, then I am off to bed!!

EDIT: Avatar is 2:40???????? I think I will skip it and wait for TV! 1.5 hours in a movie theater is about all I can take. And DD cant even go till 7pm. Maybe I can tag along for dinner. Thinking Red Lobster at the moment.

Dead around here today....

I changed my mind about the movie. 3D - so I will suffer the almost 3 hours. Better than sitting home bored I guess... No dinner though, and I am starving. Planning on asking DH to stop on the way for fries, and then get some popcorn. popcorn::

can you see the steam coming out of my ears and nose........MY DOG.......I was making steak sandwiches with green peppers and onions and had everything laid out.......well the buns anyways......and I turn my back and go back to the sideboard and the bag is on the floor and no buns are there.....It took me a few to realize that the dang dog ate them......SO I take the bag out in the living room where ms. toots is sleeping on the floor and I yelled so loud and shook the bag and she looked at me and went to her chair.....she didnt get to lick any of the plates either......and no good night snack either......that is how mad I was...

Of course hubby was chuckling......brat.....

We went to LL Beans this afternoon and hubby got a new jacket.....it is a warm up jacket but its good for him to go to work in his truck and come home.....They had alot of jackets and clothes on sale.....gotta love a store with every state represented and Canada too...well I did see a New Brunswick license plate too..

have a good one my friends.

Oh just got a text from our DIL and son......her DANG dog (still puppy) ate the cable outside that goes into the house....no wonder her phone kept on going off and on today....and same with her internet......ANYONE WANT A COUPLE OF MAINE DOGS>.....hahaha

Ha Pumba!
My friend bridget brought her two dogs over today for our cooking fest. it was fun.
There's a few pictures on facebook.

AWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS TWINKIE AND FAMILY!!!! Hollywood's middle name is Katherine. So it's clearly a good choice. ;) I bet she's absolutely beautiful and perfect and I second the "we need pictures." Surely you're not at all busy or anything...

How's everyone's weekend going? I'm attempting to drag myself off to the gym.

What exactly do you mean by that? If you mean what I think I vote for BabyN. ;o)

We got our van yesterday. Woot! Now that we have it we are second guessing not getting a 15. It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO unbelievably wonderful not having any little "ears" directly behind us. But the first bench seat isn't as roomy as the others, so we can only fit Ellie's car seat on it. It would be very difficult to get Isaac into his seat if he were also there, which means he has to be behind that bench with Kaleb. Which leaves Ethan either rooming with K and I or on the big back bench with the older boys. We've tried both places and neither is working. He's fighting with anyone. It works best when there is a space between people and no one is close enough to touch. lol. So I'm still trying to figure out seating so everyone is happy(mainly Chad and me).

You need a school bus so everyone can have there own seat.

I'm sure you will like another little girl wouldn't you so Ellie has a sister .;)

DH came into the living room this afternoon and said "have you seen a mouse around the house?" :scared1: I said no while cringing, picturing a gray thing scurrying around. Turned out he was looking for his computer mouse, LOL!

MP, congrats on the new van. I'm with Nab, get a bus, LOL.

DS just called, said the snow in the street is 2 feet deep, he doesnt know how is going to get to work tomorrow. Hopefully the city will do something. He is ready to finally buy a snowblower! He also want to buy a larger TV, he ONLY has a 40" plasma :sad2:, but Sears has none in stock. I said "cant you go another place?". He laughed at me, he said the nearest Best Buy is 4 hours away.

Found out DD is taking some sort of Sheriff test tomorrow.

Well, off to shower and do some laundry, been working on a presentation most of the day. Then a nap might be in order........

yes I did Cel, cool effects, lots of fighting, I missed the middle part though zzzzzz

probably the only way I survived a 3 hour show.

It is just pourning outside still. Rained all night too, but I guess it is better then if I said it snowed all night. Up north about 4-5 hours they are having a snow day. So I am sure our turn is coming.

I have errands to run today too that can't wait.

Marita-- you napped though the movie....it's not a movie I want to see but hubby and Nicholas want to see it. I will take Hannah to The Tooth Fairy. Good thing your son has a snowblower, out west gets way more snow then us I think unless you are right on the coast then you get rain.

Celery-- ready you made Butternut squash pie over yonder....never made this before sounds interesting, is it like pumpkin pie?

Marita.......I found this info that someone sent to me on the benefits of a banana........I find this very interesting.

Smoking &Tobacco Use: Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.

Today it is raining out.....last night it was the freezing rain and today it is actually warm out....I could go out in my spring sweatshirt but its pouring out....so just enjoy the rain beating down on the window sills....can ya hear it.

I have a rug rat here today........the twin cities has no school today because of teachers workshops....so Jacob is here with me........he is on the dump and run computer my husband fixed up for them....that way my computer is not messed up...

so my peanut butter fudge came out pretty darn good ...I shall go and put it in baggies so I can freeze it and NOT EAT IT ALL......I had a half of a piece last night and my morning fasting was still good......actually it is the best it has been in ages....98......so I am happy...

so I should figure out something to do today.....let me think hard.......how about either dust or vacumm or both......or maybe clean out that closet and heave a few things.....or the drawers in my bureau......my husband always says I have my training bras in there........he is so nuts.....

hope we can see a baby twinkie soon......hope you are all feeling great....
