allie more hugs - you were not a mess, you were dealing with a stressful situation very well imho!

OMG _ the sky just got BLACK -
BOOMERS

getting offline now!!

bbl!

Well, no storm damage - sky got that weird color green...

Guess I'm planning to go to WDW for the 2012 marathon...

Just found out DIL told DS LAST NIGHT - to get out, and she's filing for divorce today! He's shocked and confused. They had just started marriage counseling... she didnt like he had so many student loans, and the only job he had was working with deaf kids (he was working at least 60 hours too - getting paid overtime) I think what sent her over the edge was he wanted to get his teaching certificate, more loans... She wont talk to him, she's "done". Wow. just wow.

and he has to find a home for his large dog - a german shephard, lab, Rottwelier mix - I cant take care of that dog... he's too much dog for me.

what a day!

MommyP too busy enjoying Disney and bonnet creek! Awesome!

Pumbaa hope you are all rested up! I've been hearing a lot of negative food reports, so we decided not to do a dining plan -

phone call...

TwinkieMama continued prayers and positive thoughts - hope you can check in -

 Seemed like they just got married....Is he moving back in with you then?

Twinkie-- Hope everything well this morning. Your in my thoughts and prayers.

Cleaning the house today...my husband thinks I am crazy cleaning up for 11 year olds. Really it just gets me motivated to do it.

we didnt do a dp at Disney because we are AP and had TIW card.(20 percent off ts and some at cs too).......so our favorite was Crystal palace the food is always great there for dinner ......alot of choices and YUMMY ...
Our second favorite we did was Biergarten ..in Germany...ALOT OF YUMMYs there too.......We always go to House of BLues and the food was so so because I wanted to try something different......it was good but the rosemary corn bread was not my favorite....the voo doo shrimp was my choice and hubby got the blues burger..we both had a ceasar salad and cokes......now this was done with the restaurant.com gift certificate that was 2 dollars and you get 25 gc and you have to have at least a 35 dollar bill or more..which is easy to do....Our least favorite was Cape May Buffet for dinner.....the seafood was not what i call our seafood.....the clams were tiny and no more then the top of my finger nail.....and the crab legs were cold.....Brian is used to hot crab legs........the beef choice was very spicey.....oh well it was not because it was bad but not to our liking......Our favorite counter service was Earl of Sandwich ...we love that place..........and also Cosmic Rays......always get good stuff there too.....Our food court has changed at French Quarter.....no double cheeseburgers and no taco salads.....but they did make some other good choices.....We had breakfast every day at the food court and we were happy to start the day off with a full belly...

We are now on the prowl for a house AGAIN......we wanted to see one the day before we left but the people wanted 24 hours which I understand ...so that went on contract while we were gone and then one that came out this past Monday that was adorable.......went the next day ....we didnt get a chance to see it either......SHOOT....oh well more are coming up our realtor said....we will probably go and see a few this weekend.....

Granddaughter called and she said she got an A on her final that day.....so I said was this an easy class and she said NOOOOOOOO it was Pathophysiology.....so she was thrilled..she has one today and one tomorrow at 8 am......then she is done for the summer.....she said one year at this done and two to go and one year in internships......so she is ready to go..
her beau is doing his Masters next year ...

Twinkie continued thoughts and prayers!

Thanks Nab - he wont really talk/text me - he has been texting dh, he's very embarrassed - devastated, not sure where he's going. They went to Vegas over Christmas with friends, and renewed their vows!

Pumba Thank you - that's very helpful information!!

:wizard:

Sandy, wow, what a shocker for your DS! That just sucks. Sending lots of Pixie Dust!pixiedust: to help him.

Pumba, I like the Po' Boys the have at FQ. I wasn't there for the old selection, and I rarely go there since it involves travel.

Twinkie, hope everything went well for your little girl :grouphug:

I think I may have double conditioned my hair tonight instead of shampoo and conditioner. Oh well..........

Hubby and DD are leaving Saturday to go to Montana. Expeceted trave time: 5 DAYS!! I asked hubby tonight if there is anything I need to know re: financials in case anything happens. I'm not liking this!

DS says we are one signature away from seeing a real live missile site. And all the grunginess that goes with it (he says). Does this mean we got top secret clearance, LOL? I wonder how much dirt they tried to dig up on us.

Your score report for the following Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC) program test(s) will be sent to this e-mail address, as a PDF attachment, between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. eastern time on 5/13/2011. Delivery time may vary, depending on your Internet service provider.

UUUUGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!

My problems are so small...

Pixie dust thought and prayers for your daughter Twinkie! and for your son Sandy!

Between 5 - 10 pm? Weird that! Good Luck - I still remember how I felt taking the Illinois Teacher Certification test! uggg!

TwinkieMama and daughter :wizard: Hope today is better than yesterday! :grouphug:

Marita how goes the plans for the 5 day drive? :scared1: I hate 5 hour drives I cant imagine!

oh, and I think Allie or others in disasters have told us to have our finacials and medical records copied, maybe in a thumb drive - and in multiple locations! I'll have to think about that tomorrow!

anyone want a dog? *sigh, I dont want my DS dog, I want my DS to take responsibility and not dump and run (he wants to stay with his friend and ignore the huge responsibility!) I guess I'm selfish, I like my life, I take my one dog on a walk - I cant walk 2 dogs! I'll need to apply to be on Its Me or the Dog My dog looks at me like I'm crazy when I say "leave it" now, if I say "treat" or even "trade" he drops it immediately and runs to the kitchen! Who trained who? DS dog is a chewer, chews couches.. I just got a NEW COUCH!!

I would not take the dog. Nope! No way! I see it as his concern, regardless of what is going on in his life.

I keep checking my email knowing that they are not posting until after 5 pm. With my luck I won't get it til 10pm. Plus they are shutting down their website tomorrow through sunday for maintenace, better not over lap!

Mony, I saw over yonder you passed your tests. WOOHOOO!!! :cool1:

Sandy, the drive starts tomorrow, hubby and DD. They plan o leaving at 4am. Hubby is sensibly in bed, DD it at the movies with a friend...

I wouldn't take the dog either. That is such a big committment, and your son is potentially going to leave him there once he moves out because his new place won't allow pets. But pets are a very emotional issue.

I for one am glad it's Saturday. And I have 9 days alone at home. I plan on some good cleaning days.

Mony-- that's great about you test results , I saw over there too.

Martia-- That is a long car ride but we do it all the time in the summer. Is your bathroom finished now?

I have 4 giggling girls in the basement right now for Hannah's birthday sleepover. They did most of the stuff in the first hour....I bought them 4 teen magazines to look at after there movie. I'm sure they won't be going to sleep too early and they are here until 11:00 tomorrow morning.

Thanks Marita!

I passed my Cognitive Impairment certification test and my elementary education certification test! :woohoo: I am "highly" qualified to start teaching!!!!!

Actually, I can start subbing. This is huge for me and I am on :cloud9:

My profs all told me I'd pass, I just need more confidence in myself, I stared at the email for 5 mins before I opened it. :rotfl:

Now I just have to focus on the next two semesters and I can start my series of student teaching.

Thank you for the prayers! They are much appreciated!

Surgery went well, we are home now. My daughter is amazing. She has not complained once.

Glad to have imaginary friends as nice as you all :grouphug:

So sorry to hear about your son, Sandy :grouphug: Hope he can figure out a good solution for his dog.

Congrats to Mony! :goodvibes I knew you could do it!!!!!!!!!!

Twink - So glad to hear that your daughter is doing well! Sending some more quick recovery pixie dust :pixiedust: :wizard

Marita - Yay for your time home alone :thumbsup2 Safe travel wishes for your hubby and DD. I kind of enjoy it when my hubby travels. I thought I might get to come to Clearwater, Florida for some work-related training next month, and possibly a weekend trip to WDW, but it looks like one of our District staff will be getting the second slot. Oh, well!

Nabbie - Sounds like Hannah's party is going GREAT! :woohoo:

Pumba - Hope you're getting rested up from your vacation :)

Morning all.
Woke up at seven thirty....which is a BIG SLEEP IN.....I loved it.....Hubby made bacon and eggs and coffee and I put in the toast....hahaha......He likes to do this on the weekends....but he tells MEGARA that she missed her bacon and eggies.......geesh.

I too would not take on another dog.....one responsibility is enough.....tell him to find a new home for the doggie.....I dont know if I would want to do this again after Megara goes......she is 7 so I dont think we have to get on that band wagon yet..
the Kennel where she stayed is awesome and still reasonably priced compared to the other ones in town.......This family takes good care of your babies.....he even put vaseline intensive care stuff on her elbows to soften them up.....and he did her nails......and gave her the thryoid meds twice a day....they have play time with one of the caregivers...in the big yard that is 10 foot fences up..so it was great to know they are DISNEY lovers too and take good care of our animals......the wife is disabled in a wheelchair ..completely unable to move any part of her lover body and also up into her chest area....she is so nice....well she could hardly wait to go to her door and show me her 3 foot Jiminy Cricket stuffed thingie that she got on Amazon...she loves that character.....

Marita...YUP the po boys were amazing......did you see how much shrimp goes into the po boy shrimp one.....HOLY MOLY.....We were lucky to have an amazing trip and gorgeous weather....we loved the new rooms that were renovated at FQ too...twice we took the bus to Riverside and walked back from there......so peaceful except that dang squirrel that wanted to scare the bejebbies out of me ..jumps up and on....
I ate one bag of the hot chili crackers from japan....my favorite treat there....I gave one bag to my neighbor cause she is hooked on them to...we got to watch Davey Jones sing......OMG we are OLD......I knew it before but boy oh boy I KNOW IT NOW......hahaha....it was a standing room only crowd and even the next show ....the wait line was way way down into the next area....he did sing good though...and has alot of energy.

Congratulations to you on your grades ........GD is waiting for one more grade to come in.....she was happy with an A on her final for Pathophysiology and a B+ for the semester.....she said she would take that on.....her drug action couse is another of her hard classes but she is hoping for that A in that one....so she believes she got two A's Two B+'s and one she is not sure.....A or B...she is waiting.

hope you all have a great day

Well all the girls are gone , my basement looks like a bomb went off that shot popcorn all over the place. But I know they had a great time just by all the laughing down there. They didn't want to go home of course but all good things must come to an end.

I have a cold so I really just want to go lay down somewhere now. But I can't wash to do , I have stripped the beds to change over from the flannel ones. To hot last night, very humid here but cloudy and dark. No rain yet though.

Pumba -- we got up at the same time. Wanted to be up before the girls, so I could make them breakfast. They got up at 9:00.

Marita-- How is your nice quiet house? You can do anything, be on your own schedule today. I would love that. Just one day of not worrying about getting the kids here or there, what days hubby is working, what to make everyone for breakfast, lunch or supper.

It's great to have the house to myself, but the worrying about the travel is nagging at me. Just talked to DD, they are in Tennessee already, which is great, I think. They left at 4AM.

Looks like our summer storms have started. We had a big one yesterday and another one just now, and it's really windy and gray outside now. The trees are swaying like mad.

Pumba, we got to get on top of portion control, LOL, we have a food cost issue that's making it to the VP level for attention...... UGHHH!

NAB, naps are a wonderful thing. I might take one myself later.

I should get my nails done, but you all know how I feel about that, plus it looks really bad outside, so I dont think I'll go anywhere.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Twink :grouphug: thanks for checking back in! May all continue to progress

Mony :dance3: WTG :woohoo: Glad they gave the grades to you before they went down for maintenance!

Pumba po Boy? Shrimp Po Boys... we are so going to have to figure a trip to DTD! I havent heard back from the dvc rental - so maybe we'll try Port Orleans - you make it sound very tempting!! Thank you!

Marita now dont start doing all that housework - spend some time just relaxing. Hate that Disney has to cut corners like the rest of the real world! It wouldnt be so bad if we didnt have the "I remember when..." memories!

its still Disney - and just a trip to another amusement park helps to remind you how special Disney is (well to me at least!!)

NAB I just want to use this smiley :worship: sleepovers!! and hah on switching over from flannel - its 40 degrees here - that's cold! (yes, last week we had 3 days of 90 degrees, and no its 40 freezin degrees!)

DS and his dog. So sad. So I (all in text) made it clear that I cannot take care of his dog, I would babysit for 1 week, but he needs that dog as much as that dog needs him - and if he isnt going to care for the dog, then I'll have to take the dog to a shelter.... so right now his thoughts is to spend 1 more week with a friend, then move in here with us... I told dh we will charge him rent, so when they sit down with the attorney's that DS will have that budget - he wants to move in with a friend or two and will need $400+ a month just for the rent! So I told dh, we charge him that and in 10 months he'll have $4,000 (plus her mom charges her kids rent as soon as they turn 18!)

So we'll see how that goes!

Allie I talked to her today - her parents are coming and her son is having his senior day - she is stressed! I remember how having my baby graduate from high school - then off to college! and I hadnt been through a devastating tornado!! Her tip for "next time" make sure you have shoes as well as your drivers license - WE Love ya Allie - you are doing an AMAZING job!! :grouphug:
