Can anyone confirm that the Dis time is off again? I had to change my PC time for the time change, so now I am all confused (big surprise)

The dis clock is only out by 15 mins for me.

What does your say Marita?

Lex - I just noticed your new bling! :cool2: Congrats! guess I need to try and get on more often to get a new one. ;) Darn life keeps getting in the way. :headache:

15 min fast for me too Marita!

Oh, and MommyP, you both are cutiepatooties! :cutie:

Nope it wasn't me, I was in class like the good student I am.

Congrats Cel. #3000!

So either "Not Me" or "I Don't Know" did it?
My cats always tip stuff over! And I can't have any real potted plants...or they'll eat them and barf plant-barf all over the place. EW!
RobIn: Based on the glimpses of you're home you've shown, I'm guessing you like country style?

You guys! I'm a wreck! Clutter makes me crazy!
I have PILES all over my kitchen table and bar and boxes on the floors of Norah's old clothes I'm going to try my hand at selling on "a popular auction site" in "lot" quantities. Little ironed piles of 12-18 months/ 24mo 2T/ 3T etc.

But I just ran out of spray sizing for the iron. My iron works best with sizing, not water. So as soon as the kids wakey, wakey, I have to haul us all over to the Walmart and get 2-3 cans of sizing.

Once everything is pressed, I'll take photos and have my DH splatter them on "that popular auction site". Which we've never done so I'm all nervous.

It's not going to be a fancy ad at all. As plain Jane as possible actually.

Have any of yous sold on "that popular auction site" before?

What should I start my base bid at? I was thinking $1 per piece but don't have a clue. That's what I'd sell them for at a yard sale. :confused3

Don't you have mom2mom sales or something of the same over there? Rent some tables and sell it all in a few hours. You have a captive audience and they are there for children's clothing.

I make a few hundred everytime I sell. I usually price a dollar an item or less.

Hi, Allie! I doubt that we'd start a new thread without some variation of MOOvin'!!!

A while back, I e-mailed the DIS Moderator Team to request that a link to our original MOOvin' thread be included in the mega-thread sticky, but they never replied or put it there :sad1: I still would like to retrieve our theme song and BBN's poem. Maybe Pumba could put in a good word for us with the appropriate mods.

Cel, congrats on snagging post 3000!

I just wanted to say HI to Sandy. Sandy if you are reading, I really miss you and hope everything is going well with the wedding plans.

 my friend.

Ok, I guess I don't pay close enough attention to everyone's tags (or lack thereof) so let me give a blanket congratulations to all those who got new tags in the past couple of days.

Moo: Congratulations on 3,500 (and two) posts!

MommaP: Super cute boy!

1. EW, I bought a 12 pack of that and it tasted like someone spilled Count Chocula in a perfectly good bottle of Dr. Pepper.

3. Come to think of it, my DH doesn't get a say in the decor of our home. Nascar and milk crates?
1. I don't care for cherry flavored pops so the cherry taste seemed too strong to me.

3. Nope, not Nascar and milk crates for me. Here in a bit I might post some pics (if I can get them uploaded to Photobucket -- it's quite slow tonight) from parts of the two rooms I get to decorate -- the basement and the garage. Although even in there she retains veto power.

Yep, L - Mony has swooped before!

As has Rob, I believe . . .
Nope, not when I was just lurking and occasionally posting, at least never intentionally. In fact, I remember one night I had to wait for the page to turn before I posted out of concern that I might accidentally grab a premium page turn.

I predict that Twink will swoop in
I was totally planning on it too but real life got in the way. I did swoop today on the riddle. :woohoo:

Thanks, Rob! And congrats to you on surpassing 3900!!!

I am :rotfl2: about the areas of the house that you have control over! At our house, DH has a bedroom, a shelf in a china closet, the garage (where I have to fight for space to store stuff) AND AN ENTIRE POLE BARN (which is his man cave)!!!!!!! I rarely go into our unfinished basement because of the mold and mildew, so I don't really care what stuff is down there :rolleyes1

Sorry you felt like you couldn't snag a premium page turn. Swoop away in the future pirate:

Ack! My heart just aches wondering if she's had her feelings hurt. :sad1:

No I don't think we do. I've been wanting to do some e-baying. Usually we have a yard sale every summer, where I charge about a dollar each. We'll see how this goes.

Ya, there's a lot of stuff I wish we could have retrieved. :guilty: But I think it sounded like they'd be back

I've super swooped before! On the old thread one night while "chatting" I accidentally nailed the 20,000th (I think) I have the Open Mike thread linked. In case anyone wants to save it too:

Yes, post pictures when you can.

My apologies for those who have dial-up! Also, some of the pics (like the first one) are a bit blurry -- most of them turned out decent enough for hurried snapshots tonight.

Starting with the basement (note that the basement walls are more colorful than our plain antique white ones in the other "public" rooms of the house) which my father and I did most of the work in ourselves (it was a bare basement of concrete floor and walls when we started):

DW and I did the painting ourselves. The color changes in the inner corners (and the red walls in general) were a pain in patootie!

Vending machine was priced right -- FREE! I just had to haul it home (and then clean it up good including removing dead mice  before DW would allow it inside):

More in storage to come out when the toy space needs shrink and more stuff can be displayed on my built-in shelves (BTW, the shelves, seen in the pic with the stuffed bears in my last post, were professionally built and installed so Dad and I cannot take credit for them):

Closer to make sure you see it Wendee... ;)

Actually, that is all the Coca-Cola stuff in the garage. Most of the garage is baseball stuff and I didn't take pics of it.

She does let me have some stuff inside the "real" parts of the house:

I've got another one of these -- more old-fashioned styling -- in the Living Room that I failed to get a pic of:

Nice job decorating, Rob!

I prefer Coke over Pepsi (sorry, Wendy!), but the collectibles in my house are of the bovine nature ;)
