I'm here, Nab.

A word to the wise: she should check the graduation calendars for all three area schools- they often are the same weekend which means every decent restaurant for MILES is booked... or running very slow. If you have a mass graduation and departmental ceremony often you only have a couple of hours for lunch- and so does everyone else in the Triangle. Gridlock for reals. I always just got a nice deli tray and had everyone meet at my apartment. May could be lovely or roasting. I always wore a sundress under my acetate-gown-of-heat-prostration.
Really goog point, Twink. I'll have to ask DD what she is thinking of doing. She only plans to go to her department ceremony, not the big one at the stadium, so that should help. I know all three schools must be having graduation the same weekend based on how quickly hotels booked up. I made those ressies MONTHS ago as soon as they became available. I'm going to make a pitch for breakfast at Breadman's.

Acetate-gown-of-heat-prostration! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My luck it will be super roasting

Nabbie! What a ton of snow you have!!!!!!!! And bbn too! Glad we didn't get that much.

Marita, glad you got out and about for food and such. I have had another major bum-laying day.

Good to hear that Nebo and Smidgy finally checked in!

Wendy, you're one funny mama :lmao:

Marita--I always find the dining rooms to be cool the first night. They turn the air up pretty high sometimes. Hope you have calm seas.

All this snow is suppose to stop by midnight and be clear skies tomorrow.

What a way to start March Break. The airports are a mess too all those people trying to get away from the snow.

Nab: While the roads were treacherous this morning, the sun actually came out this afternoon and melted some of it. There were a few slick spots on the roads, but it wasn't too bad out tonight. It's supposed to be 60 degrees in a couple of days. That's the midwest for ya. (although Twinkie argues that Indiana is not the midwest, so what do I know? Apparently, not much today)

Marita: Get crack-a-lacking on the packing. Did I sound like Lynette? Where is that chicka anyway?

Moo: Hope you had a nice bum laying day.

I'm looking for a hotel for dd's rodeo later this month, so I thought I'd pop in and say "hi y'all". The pizza hit the spot and the bbn family MIGHT have gotten into a little snowball fight on the way to the truck in the parking lot. :rolleyes1 A little snowball to the head never hurt anybody, right?

If it isn't your head then your right...:lmao:

The kids usually ambush me in the morning on the way to school because there is a no snow ball rule at school. Can't even have it in your hand and get caught. Nicholas found that out. The kids complain because how do you make a snow man.....:confused3 It is like touchless tag I guess.

Wellllll, it's not like I beamed my kids in the head. And I aint zackly Nolan Ryan, knowwhatimsayin'? But it was fun.

No snowballs at school? That $uck$!:upsidedow

I thought the same thing when I read Breadman.....:rotfl2:

You don't want the boat to go over the edge just close to it Marita. That reminds me of the Price Is Right game ,if you guess wrong bye bye little German man.

Last edited by NAB : Today at 09:59 PM. Reason: Bought the kids M&M speck-tacular eggs for Easter...think I have to go get more now. I like Mini eggs better though.

Might I suggest an Easter Peanut Butter Egg? Not that it's the worlds perfect food or anything.

The other day the redhead came up to me and said "Mom! I need to kiss you, bend down here quick!!"

So when I bent down, he kissed me and placed something in front of me on the table. It was a Peanut Butter Egg. Do you see why it's so easy to overlook his craziness? He knows the way to my heart...sloppy little kids smooches and a peanut butter egg. Does life get any better?

I remember that game, Nab! I really had not watched Bob Barker in years, but I liked him. I gave what's his name a try or two, but really, I am not interested.

In other news, I decided to do something good for me, and bought 12 cans of V8 juice (like 12 oz size). My body won't know what to do with anything good for it......... Actually, I like it. I order a large tomato juice, no ice, along with some water every time we go out to lunch at work and I don't have to pay for it :lmao: On my own dime, it's ice water.

Awwwwww, Elisabeth!!!!!!!!! DH brought home marshmallow eggs tonight. They're not anywhere near as goog as PB eggs.

Is that Celery's Breadman's?????
I thought the name was unusual when we rirst went there and even more so when I heard Cel's friend's "name"! :lmao:

I'll have to take a photo or their sign if we go there.

Aww Babynurse , life does not getting any better then that!!!

Marita-- having you been watching those commercials where they hit you in the forehead , should have had a V8. The kids love those. V8 and tomato juice is what I craved when I was pregnant the first time around.

I don't like Drew Carey hosting either. Watched the Million dollar one a few weeks ago at night.

MMMM, contemplating peanut butter eggs to offset the beneficial effects of V8 juice.

I prefer Drew Carey on the show "Whose Line Is It Anyway". I watched part of "The Price Is Right" the other day, but he wasn't that interesting, imho.

I guess that brings your grand total to *drumroll please*

a gazillion and 12 cans, Marita. You must live in a freakin' mansion to have so many.

On a side note: Tomato juice has many benefits. Just ask Twinkie.:rolleyes1

Alrighty, I guess I've been here long enough. If I stay much longer, I'm liable to get loopy and well who knows what a bbn might do when she's loopy.

I'm going to interrupt this thread and ask if PJ has heard from her bff *cough, cough, cough* lately?

Random question: Anybody ever done this IRL?

Just curious. And by curious, I do not mean bi-curious.

yeah, yeah I know "Curiosity Killed the Cat"

I think loopyness set in early? 12 cans of 12 ounce V8 require a mansion??
Or I am lost. I have lived in the same 1,200 square foot house for 27 years, NOT a mansion by any stretch.

Oh, maybe you meant including work tomato juice, which is actually in a glass. Say 4 a year for the last 10 years. Still doesn't add up to a gazillion.

Lots of snow for some of you folks and a fast approaching cruise for Marita. How exciting! :thumbsup2

I saw in our local paper this morning one of the local merchants put a hand written sign in their store window yesterday as the snow fell here in KC for the umpteenth time this winter. The sign read, "Sick of Winter Sale". This is definitely the Winter that will not quit. I know here in KC it's just been so long since we had a "real" Winter that everyone had kind of forgotten what it was/is like.

40 were invited. 50-100 boys and girls are in my house right now. help!!!!
It's just starting...I hope you all saved room for SpongeBo
40!!! 40 kids? 40 eight year olds give or take a year? :scared1: Hopefully, they were all well-behaved girls and not overly "energetic" boys! (For those who don't know me, I say that somewhat tongue-in-cheek as the father of 4 boys.)

Wellllll, it's not like I beamed my kids in the head. And I aint zackly Nolan Ryan, knowwhatimsayin'? But it was fun.
I'm sure that even you throw like a girl! :rolleyes1

I was having a similar line of thought last night. Does anyone know how many peanut butter eggs one can eat before the calories in them start to count? Because I may or may not have ate eight of them (the large size ones) yesterday evening.

Eight?!!!!!

Are you diabetic yet???!! :lmao:

They showed a 30 second shot of LEXINGTON SNOW on the local news tonight!!!!!!!!

How did they know I have friends up there?

Lots of people trapped at the airport here due to weather, and power outages here due to storms. Luckily, we are fine so far. I sure hope it clears up for my cruise.

Yes!!80, thursday, 80 friday, 78 saturday!!!!! I'll take it!

No, I have not. We seem to have drifted apart. :sad1: Guess I'm not as goog of a stalker as I thought I was.

Glad to hear so many of my Moovin friends are sharing in the snow with me. Have I mentioned I love it? Today my friends and I walked to a park that is not really within walking distance and then walked all around the park. Took about 3 hours. It was sooooo gorgeous. The adventure may have also involved crossing a frozen stream and climbing over a barbed wire fence. :rolleyes1 You couldn't even tell where the streets were and where the ground was. There have still been no plows here, that's the city of Cincinnati for ya. We have 15 inches.

Martina McBride is singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow on my tv.

In other news....I have a huge announcement. Really huge. Everyone ready????

I FINISHED THE PAPER!!!!!!!!!
