Hi All! Just checking in to tell you I'm still around, just not able to be on the DIS much due to RL. I survived DD's program (it was actually pretty cute), DS' high school orientation, preschool Valentime's party on Wed. and then DD's class party on Thur., then sent DS with his youth group today. I had 5 boys, 1 girl, and only six seats. I threw my DS in the back of the Tahoe unbuckled. Figured if I had an accident I would rather my kid be the one that wasn't secured. Luckily, we made it from the Middle School to the church building safely. I am exhausted, and am going to lay down. Hopefully, I'll have time to check in this weekend.

Story of the day"

I woke up late today. ( Surprise!). But no meetings, and I can do everything I need to do from home. So I sent emails saying, I am working from home today.

About 12:30 my son calls on speculation that I might be home. He had a root canal, and it is killing him.Can I please bring him dad's hydrocorsone for the pain? I said, son, I am working, but OK.

He gives me directions. a good 35 minute drive to get there. Go there, turn here, then go to Research Parkway. Turn left first light onto such and such drive/
So I did, I could not find such and such drive/
OK, maybe I wrote it down wrong.go back,turn right
Nope
second light left? Nope
second light right? nope
I call son
he said, first light, research parkway, turn left
I say it'san office building.
Yes, I am at an office building he says.
so I turned around all the way to main road and park by the office building. Son says he is coming out to find me.
No, no luck.
He says he is going to the intersection. So I go to the intersection.
No son in sight.
I said, maybe it is the second light?
yes, maybe he says
Nope, no son to be found.

Then he says, wait for it.............




















Oh wait, it is not research parkway, it's Challenger Parkway!
Never mind, thanks anyway. And he later got pills from someone else.

On top that,I got lost on the way home.
So I spent 1 hour and 40 minutes today for absolutely NOTHING!!!!!!

God love 'em!! Sorry dear.

Marita, sorry you got the runaround today I'm with Lex on the raw Bisquick dough I'd much rather have Fazoli breadsticks. We went to dinner at an Italian place and had Chicago style deep dish pizza tonight. It was a pretty goog facsimile.

After that, we went shopping for a small (5 x 8) area rug to cover the hole that Jasper chewed in our living room carpeting. Found one on sale at Menard's, but I need to check the colors in the daylight tomorrow.

We also stopped at the Lazy Boy store to check on the ETA for our new recliners. Hopefully they'll be in next week

loyal..to her!

Lil G.....I'm trying to picture you sitting at your computer in the middle of the night reminiscing, posting pictures, and philosophizin. Your family is beautiful and I love that you are so in love with them all. Lil Miss Cutie Pie is a lucky woman! Now when were you at Mammoth Cave, mister?! I have been there since maybe 5th grade and we pass by there every time we go to my mom's house. We always have to gape at the giant dinosaur on the side of the road! No kidding....I need to take my kids there. It is one of the wonders of the world and it's in our own backyard.

MOOVERS MEET....This summer....Mammoth Cave! We'll all stay in Wigwam Village and visit Dinosaur World, Guntown Mountain, and the wax museum! OK...and we'll see the cave too. Who's in?? Lil G? Celery? BNCG? PJ?

You guys have been very busy!

Nothing new and exciting to post here. Just thought I'd check in and let you all know I'm still alive and well(ish). Last Saturday Ethan and Kaleb started to come down with colds and now I've got a scratchy throat and stuffy nose. So all week we haven't been able to see the new baby!!!!!!!!!! Isaac also has a little stuffy nose. Thankfully nothing serious. He is getting so big, I just can't believe it. I was looking at him in his car seat the other day and if he stretches his legs out his feet are about at the end of the seat. He is just too long!

Things are coming along at the house. Nothing big has happened this week, just small things that have to be done. Well, the ac went in, I suppose that's pretty big. Tuesday are cabinets. Which I am anxious for. The ones we chose were no longer available because he changed cabinets guys mid house building. Then the ones he showed me turned out to be the wrong ones. In the end I had 3 choices. Light oak, dark oak or white. I HATE OAK! So I have been bummed about that and I'm just hoping they aren't too ugly. We're still hoping for a end of the month completion. I have only packed 2 boxes so far. I just don't know where to start.

Today is the annual church picnic. Which means I'll be telling people "no" all day. I keep Isaac in the sling to keep him away from germs, we don't want him being passed around all day. He loves his sling, but if he is awake he likes to sit up looking out. I call him my little "Roo".

Morning Melinda I love Mammoth Cave area - I'll bet I could talk dh into it! Of course I have to work in the camp dates! (when I was a kid we went camping there - its beautiful!)

We're still inadated (sorry sp?) with news on the NIU shooting - its overwhelming... he was going to the same Univ as my sons - but chose to drive 3 hours north to kill - so overwhelming.

MommyP- I love the sling! It's the only way I could do dishes or any chores for that matter. I remember using the infant car seat as a growth gauge too. Give Isaac some kisses and loves for me.

Moo- (again, I'm sorry! I just got lucky tiles twice in a row...but I have semi-crap at the moment.)

Sandy- The Trolley Square shootings here in Salt Lake was just a year ago (remember?) and the devistation to those families is still apparent. I wonder why in recent years these kids are going nuts like that? I think if they're suicidal they might as well go down in a blaze of glory? The ultimate horror! Try not to focus on the "what' if" ...it'll eat you up.

Twinkie- So? Is diet cherry chocolate Dr. Pepper an acquired taste? It sort of has a funky "Count Chocula" aftertaste. It's better served very chilled and on the rocks.

I'm in!!! woo! I've been to so many caves all over the country, but I've never been to Mammoth cave and it's in my back yard! (I KNOW!) I love caves! and I love mooovers! It's perfect!

Wendy I do remember there were heroes there too - that shooting could've also been so much worse!! Much better now that they're home, its time to mooo've on!!

Dh took us all out for lunch - a nice place fdil took me there for my bday - so quiet, peaceful on the lake - figured it was busier in the summer... today at 1:45am - the place was filled... WITH ICE FISHERMEN!! and their women!! it was so loud - fdil and I were really and told the guys... 'oops'!! (and the fishermen would walk out to their ice houses, then come in for beer...etcc.... too funny!)
