Most of the trip was pretty boring, there isn't much to do in Santa Clarita when Magic Mountain is closed since there really isn't much else there

But the day trip to Disneyland was pretty good, especially since I had lunch there with Sid at the Blue Bayou.

GOOG MORNING!

I tried to get on last night but the DIS was sooooo slow that I finally gave up.

Mimi woke up sick yesterday and never got out of bed....fever, chest/head congestion. I kept her on a steady diet of advil and mucinex-D. Her boyfriend brought over a huge bag of Panera last night so I was glad she ate something. If she's not better tomorrow, she's going to the dr.

PJ....Glad you're feeling sorta human. LOTS of flu here too. The flu may be an awful way to lose weight but you must admit it's a nice added bonus. Do I need to drive some cake up to Cincy?

MommyP....The house looks wonderful! Ahhhh to have all new everything! Our house is 70ish years old and is always in need of some repair or another. The new nephew is precious! I delivered a sunny-sider upper with no meds also...your poor sister. Hope she is not put off to the whole birthing process. It'll be easy next time. The new cousins are soooo cute together. About the sheriff's dept.....that just means that that was not the job for him. Something better is in store for him. Don't worry.

NAB....Did you have the flu too? Or just the fever/congestion thing? Congratulations on Hannah making first confession. I can't imagine what that little angel would have to confess.

Marita....You can see them at your Christmas Eve party? That's a great criterion actually. RE: looking less than stellar....I work hard to look like total carp on a daily basis so that when I dress up people are shocked...amazed even. You wouldn't believe how many comments I've gotten on the new haircut. People are dumbfounded that I am actually "doing my hair" and looking presentable everyday now. Have you heard from your mom's surgery?

morning.........not as much snow a they had expected.....THANK GOODNESS....just enough to plow and snowblow...5 inches so that is just a dusting....but it is heavy snow.....I "have" mentioned that I hate snow ......right?

I was up quite a bit last night.....first couldnt breathe.....and then I had a diet soda last night at the party .....well it turned out to be Diet pepsi max or something.........

Yup, the wind chill is wicked here too. DH didn't shut the back door tight and it cooled the living room down really fast.

Hubby is out running errands and just called to see if I needed him to pick up anything. So I don't have to go out in the cold today!!!

Hope you all are having a great Sunday. Sendng get well wishes to all sick people .

Just heard about mom, she did well through the operation, going to stay in intensive care overnight to monitor her heart and circulation. Then nobody knows what is going to happen after that yet. Hopefully moving to some short term rehab facility for a while. No way she can go home and climb those awful stairs.

okey enough is enough..........more snow Happening right now.......another 6-8 inches they said for tonight.......now who did this to us.........we have had one storm after another......the sunbeam was in the living room this morning for a grand total of 20 minutes......I almost forgot what it looked like......megara got off her chair and ran for that beam on the carpet.......

I can tell you one thing Marita....I am not cooking meat this week.........after the meatloaf and roast fiasco........geesh......

Talked with my sister that lives winters in Hernado.....she said it was nice ....she had a sweat shirt one and were down by the beach.......I told her .....PATTY I DONT WANT TO HEAR THAT.....she laughed at me..

some day winter will be over......and then we will be happy campers.......

So glad to hear about Mom. It must be a hard time for you and your family. I know it was when my Grandfather had to have his hip replaced.

Guess what happened today, after the great pressure cooker hunt of 2008, involving searching the house for it (not to be found ANYWHERE!), buying a new one with missing parts, returning that a week later, buying a new one yesterday, washing it and finally cooking in it?

I was hunting for a ladle, and what do I find sitting in PLAIN SIGHT in the cabinet??

It is really cold here but the sun has been shining all day. Only went out for church this morning so I don't mind. It is the snow they are calling for later....

We have been having a lazy day. Well hubby and the kids have , they are playing video games while I am watching, doing laundry and keeping an eye on my pot roast. Hope I have better luck then Pumba.

Nabbie, some weeks ago DS rearranged the kitchen cabinets for money, For some reason, I cannot find ladles anywhere So I was looking everywhere for one. I KNOW I had several. Spatulas, Check i found thouse, ladles NOPE

I went to bed at 4:30 yesterday afternoon, just that tired.Felt a lot better at work this morning.

for supper........I just finished sauteeing green peppers and onions with some red hot pepper flakes and cumin seeds too......then put in a lb of burger and slowly cooking some italian sausges .......I will let them all meet in a bit and then throw in a can of tomatoes....slowly simmer the combination of stuff and then WHAMOOOOOOOOOo......I will eat it....wonder if I can taste it......my taste buds are always the first to go in a cold........

Okey dtd......didnt know there was another I cant stand snow post.....but I try to keep my dislike of the dreaded white stuff to my closest and dearest friends...

snow is coming down hard and heavy.....cant see up the street ......this morning the last snow (read 12 hours ago) was very heavy and wet.....so we had some power outages.......blew a transformer up the street.......so the electic company just put their power back on .....glad we are on a different transformer......when that transformer blew this morning ....we all lost our power for a bit and then ours came on......the explosion was loud enough for Megara to get hysterical.......fire trucks came and stayed until the electric company showed up......they also said that a squirrel met his demise there too....poor thing
